Hot matcha with oatmeal
Tiff W.

A cute quick coffee stop on bottom floor of a multi business building. I got a matcha and was craving something sweet so got the brownie which was a more dense fudge kind of brownie not overly sweet which i loved. There was a sprinkle of salt on top to balance the sweetness. I love that they decorated the place with old vis and acrually had an old fashion TV was playing the VHS! I havent seen that since middle school. The matcha here was good. Standard matcha latte. A nice charm away from the recent cream top or cold foam trend. So if youre in downtown looking for a quick pit stop and a great latte. Also the staff was very friendly. I also came later afternoon so i avoided any possible AM rush. Definitely would recommend!

Tucked right in the heart of Sacramento, this coffee shop is such a vibe. The space is incredibly open and spacious, making it perfect whether you want to catch up with friends or just sit and get some work done. Everything feels thoughtfully designed--from the clean, modern decor to the hip, trendy aesthetic that makes every corner totally Instagram-worthy. What really sets this place apart is the energy. They host fun mingle-style events that make it easy to meet people and feel part of a community, which adds a whole different layer to the experience. It's not just a coffee stop--it's a social spot. With a great drink selection and such a stylish atmosphere, it's the kind of place where you can hang out for hours without even realizing it. Definitely a go-to if you're looking for something lively, modern, and a little different

I can't say much for the coffee since I've never had it but I do know that they have a ton of syrup and milk options to choose from! I normally walk here from work and there's always a lot of seats open to study or work from if you want. The strawberry matcha is my go to and it's always pretty fast and yummy! They also sometimes have movies playing on their little CRT monitor up front.

I got an oat milk mocha It was good It was early so the barista almost made mine with whole milk but she was nice about it when I told her I wanted oat milk

Double matcha and biscuit

First time trying this place with my sibling as she told me that it's delicious. So I gave it a go and since Matcha is my favorite, I've tried the double Matcha and I'm lost for words about how delicious it is. So creamy that I don't want to finish it. The biscuit is so good and love the butter. The service was amazing. The woman who attended was really sweet. The place is so nice and cozy for one to relax and enjoy the treats. If your in a mood to nice place, I'll totally recommend Cora coffee.

This is such vibe! They have really warm welcoming seating and a very moody but comforting aesthetic. The staff are always so welcoming and bright and friendly. And my favorite part are the old nostalgic movies they have playing all the time. The coffee is great, but the baristas take the art to an other level and make it so fun to order in. Such a beautiful cafe.

The blueberry scone: it looks really good, but tragically is quite bad. The only blight on an otherwise excellent coffee shop.
Tom L.

I love this place! Really great vibe, friendly and efficient staff, good coffee, everything you could want in a coffee shop really. The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is the blueberry scone. It looks so good! But sadly, it is very bad. it tastes like a savory biscuit (a slightly underseasoned one at that) that has had a couple blueberries and a bit of sugar plopped on top; the interior is totally lacking in blueberries, sweetness, or the tenderness you want from a blueberry scone. This is all the more frustrating because it looks so good and (pleasant surprise) is served warm, so you're really anticipating a great scone and then...well...nope. Anyway, go there, have a great time, have a good coffee, tip your baristas well because they deserve it. Just don't get the blueberry scone.

Iced latte and chocolate chip cookie

Nice coffee spot downtown with spacious, modern seating. The coffee was delicious and the pastries were great, especially the chocolate chip cookie. I'd definitely come here again. They played great music!

Cora Coffee was in a convenient spot from the Sheraton. The service was very pleasant as I actually didn't want coffee on one of my visits. . I wanted a refreshing tea/lemonade. It had flavors of cardomom and rose. The name is escaping me!!! Anyways, I didn't see it on the menu but it was black tea and lemonade with the above flavors. I want to say it was called a rose. The day prior I also had their chocolate chip cookie. I've never had one like this. I liked it and it's definitely a top five fave of CC cookies. It had pockets of air and melty chocolate pockets along with the usual chocolate chips. Almost shaped like a biscuit. I had a vanilla latte and I have to say it was a bit lacking in coffee flavor. Second day I had the CC scone. Highly recommend either of them. There is space to sit but I was always on the go. Slow down a minute and take a peek. They are worthy.

This place is a good working area. There are meeting rooms that you can reserve at a fee and there is a full restaurant behind the coffee shop as well as an office on the second floor, but I did not know how to access it As for the coffee itself there are a lot of unique flavors. I wish I could try all of them. The barista was very nice, although she was working alone and had to handle all orders and making of the coffee I tried the cardamom rose cappuccino. It was a very light flavor and a bit grainy, but hopefully other ones are better.

The pastries are soooo good here! Still has amazing bagels, you must try if you come here! I also got the crunchy matcha sesame cookie and it was delicious! The sesame didn't overpower the other flavors and it wasn't like crazy sweet. For my drink I got the chai latte this time around. Not as spicy as other chai I have had but was still aromatic and tasted good. Got it with oat milk too and it was very smooth. Still need to try out the coworking space here. Lots of seating and great lighting for those who like darker spaces with less fluorescents. Parking is street parking and since it's close to the capital can be hard to find in peak hours. But worth the walk. Service is very nice and chill.

Ube matcha
Vanessa N.

On a 10 point scale, I would give Cora an 8.5 out of 10. The inside was cute, it was pretty quiet and the seats were very comfortable. Perfect for some who wants to study, or get some work done. The matcha was good, a bit sweet. I ordered the strawberry matcha and my friend order the Ube matcha. I would order theirs next time! The hours are GREAT. I liked it because most coffee shops close early, and as a student it is hard to make it to thse shops before their close, but this one has late hours! The service was fantastic, the barista was very kind and recommended a few drinks to try. The ONLY reason this does not get a 10/10 is because the loaction was a bit iffy. It is in center of downtown and there is a lot of unhoused people, so, not much they can do about that. Other than that it was definitely worth it. Will be visiting again!

Lili M.

I've only been here once but it was a pleasant experience! The coffee shop is by the capital slightly tucked away inside big building but their cute sign outside welcomes you in. The inside is spacious and has lots of light from the big windows with a decent amount of seating if you wanted to sit and sip or even work on stuff at the tables. My friends and I all got iced strawberry matchas and they were tasty! I like that the strawberry flavor wasn't super intense but complimented the matcha. I'm on the hunt for my go to matcha place and I'm going to have to come back to try their other variations and a regular matcha. Very cute retro decor going on too. The worker was really nice when we went and it was very slow.

The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

The Black Sesame French Toast was fantastic! We also got the Date-Orange Latte and the Salted Honey Lavender Latte, both tasted great! Our three drinks took less than 10 minutes, and I think the French Toast took exactly ten minutes. Not long at all, and it was busy when we were there(11am). My order was to-go, and they were all perfectly packaged! I so appreciate the front girl answering all my silly questions, the efficiency of the team, getting to watch the man in the kitchen do his work, and the clean and inviting presence of the place. My daughter brought in her baby milk and spilt some, only for one of the guys to clean it up quickly. I so appreciate you guys!! There was a challenge, as I also spoke with the front girl about, but parking is competitive. All the parking spots were taken. Some parking spots were reserved for the neighboring businesses, so I found parking on the roadside. Is it possible to expand the parking lot? My drink wasnt too sweet which I prefer. The hojicha latte was great as well! You don't see this often if at all so it was a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and they were patient when I had questions on the standard vs the "twice" drinks. They have a shared parking lot which helps as they are off a busy stretch of road. The cons: They do not have size options for their beverages. Which for the most part isn't an issue except when I wanted a large drink. Which is why I bought 2. They partnered with Pastry Cat and unfortunately the common theme was they never had pastries even in 9am window. Not their fault but maybe partnering with a patisserie that offers consistent inventory might be worthwhile? The ambience is less "come and enjoy your drink" and more "we don't have enough seating"and use the space efficiently. I think if they update the layout of the tables and chairs, it would feel more inviting to sit for a bit or meet up with friends. The parking lot. It's terrible, crowded and people don't know how to park. I saw a couple of cars almost back into eachother while waiting and I was grateful I parked on the street and walked. Overall, the quality of the drinks and the friendliness are great and that receives 4 stars. If you want a quality matcha drink then give them a try. But I have access to other cafes that meet my needs; enough that Offbeat will be more of an off the beaten path option than a regular one.
