The vibe of this place is so cozy! We always follow and LOVE PAINTED SOUL!!! The staff is amazing! Alissa our waitress was so kind and gave great recommendations on food and drinks. Excellent service! We started at a table and then moved to the bar area where Jason was so fun! We met so many nice people hanging out at the bar (felt like a CHEERS experience)! Many local people were there. I got to meet Chef Joey!!! And thank him for the amazing food! We had the margarita flat bread, shrimp skewers & steak skewers! We ran into friends we didn't know would be there! Who were also coming to see the band PAINTED SOUL! Great service, food and drinks! So many awesome choices. Our Party of 6 ordered many items to share off the menu: 1-chicken tinga tacos were full of flavor. 2-shrimp skewers had a wonderful cream sauce and flavor 3-smashed potatoes were fantastic. I loved the jalapeño on top of each one. The ranch dressing put them over the top. 4-beef skewers had a tasty chimichurri sauce. They were a little rare for me but had a great flavor. 5-beef sliders and fries were gone before I could try them so I take that as a good sign. We also ordered the wedge salad and bruschetta. They looked amazing but at this point I had tapped out. The rest of the party enjoyed them both. I had the blood orange Cosmo to drink, and it was well made and very good. I do love a restaurant with live music. However, due to the smaller size of the dining area, the music was too loud and made it difficult to have a conversation with the six people at our table.. Since moving to Arizona 3 years ago I love discovering restaurants that take my tastebuds to the next level. The Risotto with Salmon was the absolute best that I've Ever Eaten!! The flavor of the sauce that was created from ingredients and seasonings was amazing! I chose salmon as the topper and it was grilled to perfection. This is only the second time I've eaten a dish so tasty. The first time was Chicken Marsala at a small Italian restaurant in Chicago, 32 years ago. I started the meal with a side Cesar salad that was not on the menu but available for $8. Definitely worth it in my opinion. The croutons and the dressing tasted homemade. I plan on returning to Cork and Craft to try some of their other dishes very soon. One thing worth mentioning if you want to have a quiet dinner then come before 7 pm as live music starts then. Also for reservations I would suggest speaking to a live person as the bot didn't have correct seating information. If you're looking for food that is created from a chef and not a chain restaurants cook I think you will not be disappointed. read more

Back to Cork and Craft! Not for a Yelp event this time, but to see Carvin Jones play!! I had made a reservation, as Carvin is known to play packed houses. We had the perfect table, which was waiting for us at 7pm, as requested. We ordered drinks and a couple appetizers. I have been craving the Chicken Lollipops since my last visit so that was my appetizer choice! We also ordered calamari, which was perfectly cooked. For my entree I ordered one of the nights specials which was Parmesan Risotto w/ Steak Tenderloins. It was amazing! Also ordered was the shrimp tacos and a burger. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The sound system here is great for live music. However Carvin's fans like to dance and there was not much room for that here. It worked out fine and he put on a fantastic show! We're glad you are back, Carvin!! I'll definitely keep up with Cork and Crafts line up and try to catch more artists soon. Came here for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The shrimp tacos were the best I have ever had, and the food all around was phenomenal. The live music hit just the right level, not too loud but not too quiet, so we could still enjoy conversation while soaking up the atmosphere. Special shoutout to Mike the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure my birthday was nothing short of amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

This place has a pretty good food and drink menu. Unfortunately there's a lot more negatives than positives. My husband ordered a double Blanton's but they were out. I ordered the beef tenderloins but they didn't taste like tenderloins. They were tough. So much so I had to ask for a steak knife. Then they were over cooked. She said they were a medium but there's no way. I wasnt even going to say anything but my friend said it was unacceptable and way over cooked. They removed it from the bill but it obviously was not a great experience. We sat outside because the music was way too loud to enjoy conversation with our friends. Not sure I would go back. My wife and I met some friends to celebrate two birthdays. We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken, but unfortunately, they did not have the bourbon selection that I desired, and the bar staff recommended another selection which I chose to try and it was pleased with their recommendation. The gentleman that was providing the live entertainment that evening was quite good playing a mix of rock hits from the 80's and 90's. Our food came and one of the orders had rubbery chicken, but all the other meals were quite tasty. The wait staff was intermittent and didn't seem to check in very often, although other tables seemed to not be experiencing the same issue with other servers, so it was likely only the one individual. When the bill came, I was surprised to find that I was charged and extra $2.50 per bourbon pour. When I inquired why, I was told it was because I ordered my drink neat and was told this is standard for bars. I have been to plenty of whiskey bars and have never been up charged for ordering my drinks neat. What was more troubling is that there was no mention of such a charge on the menu, nor did the server mention it when I ordered the drink. I would recommend providing notice to the customer to allow them to make an informed decision when ordering. While the meal my wife and I had were good, the lack of attentiveness and the stealth fee left a bad taste in our mouth that will affect our decision to return in the future. read more

We had been really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately it was a major disappointment. We visited on a Monday night when it wasn't very busy, so we expected a pretty smooth experience. After ordering, we waited over 15 minutes and still hadn't received my drink or our appetizer. I also ran out of water fairly early on, and our server never once checked back in after taking our order. My husband eventually went to the bar to ask for water and check on my drink, but stood there for about five minutes being completely ignored by the bartender, who didn't even acknowledge him. With how slow it was, there really didn't seem to be any excuse for that. I ended up having to wave down our server multiple times just to get her attention. When we finally asked about our drink and appetizer, she gave us a completely blank "deer in headlights" look and then went to ring everything in well after we had already ordered. When our food finally arrived, we asked for ranch and mustard. We then watched our server go in and out of the kitchen numerous times, but those condiments never showed up. It actually became a bit comical watching to see if they would appear the next time she came out... but they never did! She never checked on us once after our food arrived, and never asked us how things were when we asked for the check (she probably already knew). And considering how much restaurants rely on drink sales, it was surprising no one ever came by again, because I definitely would have ordered another if anyone had shown up. Missed opportunity for sure. The only positive thing about the experience was the ambiance. Everything else fell short. Service was poor, prices were high, and the food was mediocre at best. Overall, very disappointing, and we won't be returning. read more

My husband and I grabbed a last minute reservation here last night and had planned to just get a drink and appetizer then go somewhere else for dinner. But we were pleasantly surprised with the amazing live music and great ambiance! The hostess was very friendly when we came in and our table wasn't ready yet because we were early but we grabbed a drink at the bar, and the bartender was incredibly quick, helpful and kind! Then our server, Isaiah was also amazing and had great recommendations, checked in frequently and just had a great attitude/vibe. We ended up getting some appetizers and stayed for dinner because we didn't want to leave! The chicken risotto was delicious. We will definitely be back! read more

I explained I did not select to sit outside(something I NEVER do) she proceeds to say what's what our systems says. Needless to say we left. By the time I got back to my car she had canceled our reservation...that tells me they can change and move as they want. But I wanted to verify so I went back into website it make reservation for tomorrow and it and I repeat it did NOT give me an option to even select patio. He makes every visit feel personal and special. The food is consistently delicious, and the late-night bites are the perfect bonus if you're staying out a little later. Tonight we knew getting in would be difficult but we tried anyway. The hostess told us that she only had one table open but it was reserved an hour after we arrived. What a breath of fresh air. Obviously the hostesses have been trained well. She gave us an option. Wait for another table or take the table that was available and make sure we would be gone an hour later. Sweet. Next, our server was fantastic. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She was there when we needed her to be and wasn't over bearing. In many places we would have been rushed but not here. We knew we had an hour and we were okay with that but no one made us feel uncomfortable. Next I ordered a specific drink and she came back and made a suggestion and good for her, the recommendation was fantastic. My wife had the carne asado tacos and I had the blackened shrimp tacos and they were fantastic. If I had any suggestion it would be that the shrimp should have been a little hotter. They were cooked properly but were not as hot as I like them. So here's my final point as I visited this establishment when it was owned and operated by others and I have visited Cork and Craft three times since it has opened and I am more than impressed. It is our new place to go when we want a nice evening out without driving a long distance. The only bad part of this is that due to the popularity of Cork and Craft, we will have to plan better. I made a reservation for 4 for patio seating. When we arrived, got seated right away. Live band has started, and it was super loud in the main restaurant seating area. Service was ok. Our waitress took a while to take our order. Water was never refilled, we went to the bar to get refills. No biggie. We ordered an appetizer. Then each of us got our meal. The table was so small. Our plates almost didn't fit , even after appetizers plates were taken away. We had to shuffle around our glasses of water and beer. They definitely need bigger tables so customers can enjoy their meal. Overall experience- ok. Food was good, generous portions and acquaint small business environment. read more

My son and I tried this place and we were truly surprised at how good it was. Atmosphere was great! Food came out hot and in a timely manner. My son had one of the burgers and he said it was the best he'd had in a very long time. I had a chicken dish that was mouth watering moist! I wish I had taken pictures. Its unfortunated that a good concept is being undone by the front of house staff. The food was good, except for the long hair in our brussels sprouts. The ambience looked good, but the atmosphere was off. The wait staff was sweeping the floor and dragging metal chairs loudly across the floor while talking loudly about their plans for after work. We had reservations for the side patio and were seated inside, and when I told the host, she seated us on the parking lot patio. Kids running around, people stepping out of the restaurant to the patio to loudly talk on cell phones, and motorcycle blaring music parked right at the front door, blocking the path for the band setting up, and yikes, potentially a wheelchair. No staff redirected any of the annoying behavior. This place would benefit from a solid floor manager in the dining area. I'd rather spend my money and time somewhere else. read more
