Cork & Fork is one of the absolute best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. We were a party of three and we treated ourselves to a tapas style experience and sampled quite a few menu items. Everything was phenomenal and the service was very good. We definitely over-ordered and left with a few left-overs. Here's a rundown of what we sampled: Salumi & Cheese Board - excellent with a good variety of meats, cheese, olives, pickled mushrooms, and a couple other items. Nit pick: I thought the pickled items were a little too vinegary for my taste. Needed more bread than was provided. I suppose they probably would have brought a little more bread if we had asked. Sauteed Octopus - Excellent "green" flavored pesto. Octopus was cooked perfectly. Nit pick: Would have liked a little more octopus. It should be octopus with potatoes, not potatoes with octopus. Braised Mussels - One of the best mussel recipes I have ever had. Nit pick: The mussels were on the small side and they only provided about a dozen mussels (guessing on that number. I didn't count). Given that, there really wasn't much there in the form of mussels. I don't know if it was luck of the draw on what they purchased or if restaurants can choose grades of mussels. In my opinion, they should either provide more mussels or bigger mussels. I would have also liked more bread to sop up the goodness. It may seem like I'm beating up the mussels, but I'm really not. It was absolutely excellent in flavor -- just thought there should have been a little more meat on the mussels and a little more bread. Arugula & Beet Salad - My personal favorite thing of the night believe it or not. I have never called out a salad as the star of the evening, but this one definitely won "best recipe of the night". An absolute must order item. No nit picks on this one whatsoever. Spaghetti Bolognese - A very good recipe. They use thicker than typical spaghetti noodles, which is just a comment, not a complaint. Excellent. Ricotta Gnocchi - These gnocchi were the most fluffy light gnocchi we've ever tasted and the ricotta tomato recipe was excellent. This was an outstanding dish. Margherita Pizza - Fabulous pizza and obviously cooked hot and fast -- the way it should be done! Not much more to add here. Tiramisu - I did not order this, but my wife and her mother both ordered one and as full as they were already, they both ate all of it and commented on how good it was. This was so good we're thinking about eating here again tomorrow night and trying some of the other things on the menu. read more

We really enjoyed our pizza and pasta and were happily surprised, because our bruschetta was overloaded with balsamic vinegar and my old fashioned was sickeningly sweet. We went during off hours on a weekend, when there were few diners. Service was terrific and street parking was easy. We went looking for a place for lunch today and came across this restaurant. It looked cute from the outside and there were plenty of people dining, so we felt like it was a good option as any! To drink: I wanted a coffee so badly as it's an overcast day and I was feeling sluggish, but they don't have any non dairy milk options - so I didn't get it. For food: I ordered a Beet & Arugula Salad as well as the Funghi pizza. What slipped through the cracks was that the Beet salad had pancetta on it and I didn't realize until I took a bite. I let the server know that I don't eat meat and he was absolutely fine with having another one sent out to me; but where I was completely turned off was by who I presume to be the manager. A blonde colored shoulder lengrh hair cut woman brought the new salad out to me and says to me, "just so you know, when ordering, you should let your server know your dietary restrictions" - why that was necassary for her to say to me Im not sure, but condescending remarks are never appropriate. The waitresses we had both times my boyfriend and I came here were super knowledgable on the food menu & drinks and very personable. We were in town for our friend's engagement party at Troegs. After our rainy drive from NJ, we were starved !! Found this place on yelp and it did not dissapoint. I would descrIbe the ambiance to be chill and hippy with open high ceilings. We ordered a Pesto Caesar Salad and Margherita Pizza to share. The salad had just enough dressing that it was still crunchy. The pizza was so good (warm) from the oven with melty cheese and crunchy basil leaves. Service was prompt, friendly and on par. This was my first time at Cork and Fork with my sister and we had a great experience, our waiter was super nice and help us out a lot with the items on the menu as well as recommending some dishes. Keep in mind that many of the dishes here are meant to share, however it all depends on how hungry you are. We ended up gettin the burrata bruschetta which was very tasty, it had the perfect amount of cheese but I did think it was a little too sweet for me. We also ordered a classic margherita pizza as well as the funghi pizza which was the winner for the night! The caramelized onions complemented the dough and cheese so well with the mushrooms! We're in town to see a band play and have made it a weekend of debauchery. We needed some nutrition, and the food here was very healthy. Of course, six cocktails may have reduced the positive effect of all that goodness, but whatever. The old fashioned and Manhattan are really good here. This place pays close attention to detail, from the cocktails to the presentation of the food. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. We liked the mussels so much we ordered a second plate. A couple unobtrusive televisions behind the bar so you could keep up on a game, the markets, or the news. And now they've pulled the televisions. Why? I've been loyal because of the full package so removing this ingredient ruins the whole dish. It's like making a great pizza, but deciding to not use any cheese. read more
