It was very busy, so reservations are a must. We were seated, upstairs, in a room. Which had about 4 tables in it. It had 2 bigger tables, for 4-6 people, and 2 other 2 person tables. There were a few rooms, like this, on the 2nd floor. Lindsey was our server and she was pleasant, helpful, and efficient! We started off with a glass of their house Shiraz. It was a very good wine and we both enjoyed it! My wife ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli and said it was very good! She did say, be forewarned, that it's on the sweeter side, but she really enjoyed it! I had the Pork Chops! Excellent meal! The pork chops are sous vide and then char grilled! Juicy and savory! Ate here Saturday night with a group of 4. This is a converted Victorian house (the second oldest house in Medina) and has a nice ambiance. Supposedly it is haunted upstairs but the server said she had worked there 7 years without experiencing any of that. Our server was Misty who was experienced, friendly and attentive. They had a special Valentines dinner for 2 for $69. You share a salad and a dessert and each person gets an entree. I had salmon and my wife had a steak--the latter was larger than I would have expected. One of our party had the lobster tails--it also was a surprisingly generous serving. Fantastic spot. The building is vintage but well maintained. The liquor/beer selection is great and the raspberry mule is really good. The service was also great with our waitress. Ordered one of the family prime rib specials for an early Mother's Day dinner on their take out menu. Lots of food for the price and everything was boxed well. I don't review very often but this place definitely deserves a 5 star review. At this time, due to Covid, only outdoor seating is available. All the tables are spaced apart and the scenery is lovely. Absolutely do not waste your money on steak, they cannot make it properly! Ordered medium, it came ice cold and rare, with cold hard butter smeared on top, totally raw except for a basic sear. The fried fish was good, but that's not really hard to prepare. The cheesy scalloped potatoes were a pile of mush. The waitress and receptionist were nice. I did not send the steak back as I'm afraid of retaliation so I went home hungry and cooked my rare steak on the stovetop. Others in my party had the same issue. I will not go back. Attractive restaurant located in a 150+ old mansion situated in the city of Medina right by Medina square. The inside as many rooms with an upstairs and a nice bar. In the summertime, they have a patio with a little pond. When we got there, the hostess greeted us with a smile and was very helpful to get us seated quickly, even though it was bustling. I would recommend reservations on a Friday or Saturday night. One seated, the waitress was very knowledgeable and for us our drinks quickly. The drinks were tasty and flavorful, plus they had a reasonable selection of craft beers. The food was excellent but a little overpriced for what you got. First time trying out Corkscrew Saloon and it did not disappoint! I had a great meal for my birthday and would go back! The drinks were delicious and the spinach artichoke dip was perfectly made. She asked my preference and I told her a brand I knew - medium priced that I have purchased by the bottle, nothing fancy. When my bill arrived, I had a "special" version of this ordinary bourbon and they had charged me $40 per drink! The waitress did not think my going from the "well" - cheapest- to a $700/ bottle was odd? She knew I had not seen a menu. I spoke to the owner and he agreed that my $120 bar tab was a learning for his staff, at my expense. Well it was a learning opportunity for me too! There are plenty of reasonable great restaurants in Medina, with no unpleasant surprises. This is not one. read more

We started off with the stuffed mushrooms and they were so good. The horseradish sauce was perfect. My husband ordered the French onion soup and he said it was the best he's had. I ordered the special - pecan crusted halibut with butternut squash risotto with asparagus and it was so good. I also ordered the Oreo chocolate cake to go and I'm sure it will be fabulous. This was a 45 minutes drive for us, but it was worth it. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is they ran out of what I wanted (and had been looking forward to trying). Arriving 15 minutes early, I quickly saw why reservations are recommended... the place was packed, very few open seats. There are two floors - if you have a preference on which floor you are seated, you must state as such while making reservations. We started with a meat & cheese tray; the portion was satisfying for 2-4 people to share. Produce, meats & cheeses freshly prepared. Overall very pleased with the tray. A few of the specials looked tempting (ex. 28oz Tomahawk or Prime Rib). In the end, we chose from the main menu; my wife ordered the mahi-mahi while I ordered the half rack of lamb. Her mahi-mahi was well prepared; moist, not over cooked and accompanied by a pineapple salsa. Complimentary sides of salad and scallop-style potato were excellent. NOW for the lamb. I don't mean to sound biased but if you want to try lamb - or you enjoy lamb today - you'll want the half rack. Best piece of lamb I've had in a very long time. Medium rare with a sweet & sour demi glace, served over a creamy risotto. It was outstanding. My side of asparagus, along with a salad, were great. But the lamb... it was solid. Desert brought us carrot cake which was decent; I'd give it a 5/10 for great frosting and overall taste, but it was on the dry side. There are no gluten free apps or desserts. The only gf option for accompanying your entree is the house salad which was lettuce with a grape tomato or two and a bit of pepper. The chipotle ranch dressing was good and tasted like a homemade buttermilk ranch with a nice kick. The pasta Newburg came out without any lump crabmeat (one of the three main ingredients) with no mention of it from the waitress. The pasta was very heavily salted. The cream sauce was very light with only a tiny hint of sherry. If you are looking for a nod to a she crab soup this is definitely not it. The scallops were cooked perfectly as were the shrimp and the pasta noodles themselves. I did not have any reaction from the meal so cross contamination was not an issue. My boyfriend does not have to be gluten free and had the chicken parm with potato soup to start. He said the soup was really good and the chicken parm was pretty good but his pasta was very heavily salted as well. Overall just a mediocre experience. I think I would have felt very differently if the missing crab meat was addressed in some way. read more

Waited a long time to put in drink order and get drinks, waited a really long time to get salad course, and 3 minutes after the salads arrived, our meals arrived. I will say that the lobster ravioli was AMAZING. I highly recommend. One in my party said the lamb was good but not great, and the two who got the duck said it was good but were disappointed that there were no crispy skins...the menu states "crispy duck breast." The desserts were just okay. You could tell they were sitting in the fridge for a couple days. Nothing to write home about. Overall, everything was just okay. When you order the Chefs Grilled Steak Family Dinner ask for EXTRA chef potatoes. The meal was amazing (way beyond my expectations) but those chef potatoes almost caused a riot in my house... The potatoes are made by supernatural heavenly beings that shall cause your family to compete for the remaining spuds... As we ate our meals, everyone started eyeing up the remaining potatoes, and we actually had to "ration" the remaining food.
