Looking for a quick but delicious bite, this is the place to go. I was in Chicago visiting for a family Birthday Party & we needed something quick for breakfast. I really didn't know what to expect but it was a good call to go there. It had a similar set up to Panera, as in order at the register & food is brought to your table. I rather liked there breakfast selection over Panera b/c the food was way more hearty & not as expensive. The coffee was good, though I wish they had French vanilla creamer available. All they supplied for a regular cup of joe was half & half, whole & skim milk along with sugar & sweeteners. The staff was friendly & attentive. They clean up your plates & no table sat long without being cleaned. The atmosphere was nice & relaxing if you wanted to do breakfast brunch with a group or even sit in a booth to read while sipping on a coffee. When I'm back, I would definitely go back. read more

I know I've been to a Corner Bakery before but I can't remember when or where or what I had, so this visit was like the first time. I was taken by some coworkers after a work meeting and wasn't expecting anything special, but I really enjoyed lunch. I had the chicken pomodori panini. The bakery items were calling my name (lemon bar and lemon loaf pound cake right by the register! I am SO into lemon desserts these days!) but I was able to resist. My coworker, as she ate her last bite, exclaimed, "They have the best salads here!" so next time, I'm getting a lemon bar and a salad. This was the first time I had been to this particular location and I believe it could have been better. The smell walking in was very appealing - fresh baked sugary smells. We were greeted by the cashier after approaching the counter. My daughter ordered her panini and Orange juice as I was still undecided. I settled on the steel cut oatmeal and Mocha Frappe. After ordering I realized I was not asked which toppings I would like on my oatmeal. The dining room was clean and inviting. Music was low, and it seemed calm for a Sunday morning. Our food came in a timely matter. As I already knew I hadn't been asked about toppings my oatmeal came plain. I asked the employee about sugar, milk, and cinnamon and she pointed me to the beverage bar. After fixing the oatmeal and tasting, it was very good - not concrete as I expected. My husband and I are a frequent visitor of this location. Every time until tonight has been 5 star. First issue: cashier on a personal phone call. Second issue: sandwich was not on the correct bread. Third issue: served on the right bread but totally burnt. Manager was called out, refunded the cost of the sandwich and apologized. We told her that we did not want the new sandwich they were preparing but she gave it to us anyway in a to go container. Which brings me to the fourth issue. The chopped salad had feta cheese and the bacon was not chopped. The second salad was a Cobb salad..there was a one hard boiled egg not cut up and the bacon was not chopped. Really disappointed. I really wish i could give more stars.. Because i do love corner bakery.. So i did the survey and rated them excellent..but when i got my food i feel cheated.. 7/7/18 8:30pm we came in ordered 4 sandwiches and 3 kids meals.they didnt put pesto on 2 sandwiches and we informed them..they fixed it then my kids pan cakes came and were burned charred ,they did not re make both sets of pancakes... Forgot to bring syrup butter. Didnt give me the cookies that the kids meals should of came with.my wife went to counter numerous times and asked for the cookies.... The sausage was burned as well. Ive never had any issues with any corner bakery in my life.. Maybe ill consider a shot later on. bummer next time ill do the online servey after my experience not as soon as i paid.. I had a late start at work one day and decided on this place before I hit the road. Big mistake! I thought I remembered liking this place? I ordered a ton of food! Some for then and the rest for later on that day. The turkey on my sandwich was just disgusting. It was like cheap processed lunch meat. Gross. I will say the lemonade and brownie bites were awesome. When I arrived they were a bit rude about the fact that it wasn't ready and wouldn't be for 20-25 more minutes. 45 minutes later and it was done. Heading back to the office and my coworker said they have good food here. Finding parking was a challenge but we found some. I figured it must be good with this crowd. Walking in the place is clean and the workers are busy serving and cleaning up. We were waited on right away. I went for the Chopped Salad. It was good, coworker did not lie. I don't live close to this place but I used to work in the area and show up often for lunch. One day I made a special trip out to eat there in which was approx. A 30 minute drive because I hadn't had it in awhile. I ordered mac and cheese to go and once I got back in my car I checked everything. I noticed I had gotten the wrong entree and ended up with a different pasta entree instead. I was on a time schedule so I didn't really have the time to go back in so I took a bite of it to see if I liked it. I didn't like the food so I decided to go back in to tell them it was the wrong order. The man, who appeared to be a manager by the way he dressed (differently then everyone else),tall and skinny, older with glasses, took the pasta that was given to me and threw it on the serving counter that seperate the kitchen and front line and said to get him a mac and cheese. I then saw the Hispanic woman behind the counter in the kitchen put my old plate aside and then came back to it 10 seconds later, opened it up and put it in a bowl for a *for here* order and put it back on the counter to serve. Keep in mind that I ate out of that bowl prior to returning it to see if I liked it. So someone in the restaurant ended up with my old food with my germs. Not that I have any illnesses or anything but how stinking unsanitary is that? Needless to say, I've never gone back. I called the corporate number in which required me to leave a message. I provided my name number and my receipt info and for them to call me back regarding a bad experience at this location. NO ONE from CORP. Ever called me back. I ended up contacting the health department in hopes that this would get corrected and never happen again. read more

Came here at noon for lunch today, placed a carry out order including a pasta entree, salad entree, a sandwich entree and a drink. Two out of the three entrees were incorrect, the pasta entree was wrung up incorrectly from the start but they fixed it (or so I thought) the sandwich was completely wrong (ordered turkey club got Italian) hubs checked the order and went and notified the crew member who said yes it's the rustic Italian he proceeds to show them the receipt for the club panini. Fast forward a few minutes the new sandwich is ready to go. After the mishap with the sandwich we check the pasta entree to ensure they added the bacon to it, bacon is there and we head to our destination. Upon arrival the pasta entree has tomatoes in it, which normally isn't a big deal but that's not what was ordered due to a food sensitivity. The cheese on the roast beef sandwich wasn't even melted and looked like they slapped on a Kraft single on it. The bread on the chicken pesto was hard and wasn't what they normally serve.
