Boxed lunches were ordered for a meeting I attended. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a gluten free wrap which was good. Chips and carrots were included which were also good and gluten free. But the chocolate chip cookie??? If corner bakery is advertising that they can cater and offer gluten free options, then they have to figure out how to get it right. Cookie = gluten. Offer another option for gluten free box lunches, corner bakery. Show that you are capable of meeting customer needs-,even Culver's offers gluten free options and gets it right. read more

I have always been a fan of the Corner Bakery, but yesterday I was leaving with my take-out order and when I got to the door, it was pouring rain. There was another lady waiting also to get to her car, but again, it was pouring rain. I went to the Corner Bakery the other day for soup and sandwich. I was very disappointed when I got home and discovered that they had given me the wrong soup. I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup. What I received had onions, potatoes, ham and cheese. I was horrified when I tasted the soup and chewed on the ham. I had to spit it out. I can't have pork and don't eat pork. I called the store and talked to a manager. He apologized and said he would put my name on the list for me to get the correct soup when I'm in the area; like this is an everyday occurrence. I appreciate the apology; however, it could have been more serious. What if I'd eaten the whole thing and the ham raised my blood pressure causing me to have to see the doctor. I guess I was looking for some compassion from the manager. The mistake should not have been made since the store wasn't crowded. There were only 4 other customers there. read more

Seems clean and nice. Ordered a sandwich with chips and a drink $11+. Sandwich and chips brought out to table. Started eating and I noticed only a lot of cheese. Opened the sandwich and the meat was small round pieces of turkey folded into quarters to gone the appearance of layes. There was less than one half of one piece of bacon on the sandwich. I went up to the counter and the assumed manager came up and asked me if there was a problem. I mentioned it to him and he was silent while I dissected my sandwich in front of him in the counter to prove there was little or no bacon hiding in the cheese. I looked him for a response. He said there are only 2 strips of bacon per sandwich. I told him great is this two strips. He didn't reply. Chalk this up to a bad attitude, poorly trained staff, and a bad menu. I came here to pick up lunch after work. I was sitting down waiting for my food when the manager came up to me and handed me two 5$ gift card type coupons because it was taking so long. I hadn't complained and wasn't really all that anxious for them to hurry up; but apparently my sandwich was a little over-cooked and he wanted the chef to re-make it so it was good. I never once looked up from my phone (head in the clouds) or acted frustrated and so I just thought it was so upstanding for the manager to do that for me even though I was unaware of the situation or that I had been waiting longer than normal. Recently ate here and had a horrible dining experience. Not only was the cashier rude but she gave me attitude when I said my order was missing bread. I ordered a Cesar salad and I was immediately disgusted because I knew the lettuce was old. It was brown in a few places and looked wet. I brought my plate to the manager explaining what was wrong and he said they will remake my salad. I should not have agreed to this as they basically used the same old rotten lettuce. I didn't argue anymore and left my food uneaten. Will not be giving them my business going forward. read more

When I first opened the bag of food that I had ordered I noticed that the cookie that came along with the kids meal was missing. Since I had ordered my food to go I was no longer in the restaurant so I could not retrieve the missing cookie. Then when I unwrapped my flat bread I was shocked at the size! TINY, MEASLY, about the size of a toddlers balled up fist. Lastly, I was charged twice for this stinking meal so I ended up paying $28 for a bag of food that wouldn't even feed a bird. If the sign on the door states the lobby hours. They should honor that and open the bank in time. As I write this review, there are about 6 people including myself to open. Which was 8:15 am. We have eaten here many times. Almost without fail, there have been problems with the order. This past Sunday, May 3, 2015, I did a carry out. I ordered 2 chopped salads and 2 bags of potato chips. I asked for wonton strips on both, extra onions, avocado and bacon on one; and extra bacon and avocado on the other. I repeated the order to the cashier; when I picked the order up, I repeated to the person who gave me the order. I also had her check the bag to make sure everything was right. I got home only to find the order messed up. One salad did not have the chicken or blue cheese in it; the other did not have the onion on it. I'm done going there. They used to have a tomato and mozzarella Panini that was delicious so of course they took it off the menu. I get the tomato and mozzarella and ask them to put it in the Panini machine for me and they do but its not the same still good with their loaded baked potato soup but I miss my sandwich oh well. Would have gotten 4 stars if it was not taken off and 5 stars if they didn't scold their employees in front of customers happened while I was there not sure if they do it all the time. read more
