Corner bakery in oak lawn provides great customer service and has a welcoming atmosphere. The food was great and the service was better. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Easy parking. Quick service. Decent quality. Prices not bad. Clean facility. I ordered bacon and eggs which came with toast and hashbrowns. It sounds like I could've received fruit instead of the hashbrowns, which would've been my preference, but that wasn't offered. In the future, if the cashiers can let customers know there are alternatives, that would be really helpful. When the food arrived, it looked good but was only lukewarm and I prefer hot food. Not a bad experience, but not excellent. I would give them another try.

Decided to give Corner Bakery a shot since its right across from Staples where I had been shopping and we needed breakfast. Nice sized place with booths and tables and outside seating. There were only a few people seated on a Saturday at 9:30am. No crowds. Lovely! Menu includes both breakfast and lunch options. The breakfast menu is short and to the point and includes pancakes and gluten free toast. Orders are placed at the register and then brought to your table if you are dining in. I enjoyed the veggie scrambler: scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese, toast (GF for me), potatoes or fresh fruit and bacon. The food was pretty good, cooked well and I really don't have any complaints. The food was fresh, hot and served pretty quickly. This is a real nice incognito place for a nice quiet simple breakfast with no crowds. I'll for sure come back here to try a breakfast sandwich on GF toast : )

I had the opportunity to visit this location today as I got off work, and I did an online order for a breakfast Panini and potatoes as I received my order and I reviewed my order. I noticed that there was only a dap of avocados on my order , so as I politely asked for some more to be placed on my order (the rightful amount) The manager begins to speak to me in a very unprofessional and rude loud tone just because I requested more on my Panini. Food wasn't prepared correctly, and potatoes were a child size for price. I have visited this location in the past and NEVER had an issue until now, which I have now decided to NEVER return.

Never been to corner bakery before so I didn't know what to expect. My friend had been talking about this place and I had been thinking about trying them out because of her. Just so happen I ended up getting a certificate to use here, so it was a great opportunity to finally try them out. I didn't know what to expect but upon walking in, it reminded me of Panera bread. When I walked in, it was a bit crowded. The place really didn't have an aroma, as most food places do but the place seemed clean upon my first look around. There was a pretty long line when I went in but the line went pretty fast. The people at the registers seem to work pretty fast. I ended up getting the 'Choose Two'. They always seem to have some sort of promotion going on, which is cool. I ended up getting a panini sandwich and salad. I was kind of afraid of getting a panini based on my past experience at other places but corner bakery seems to have a good handle on panini's. The panini I ordered was delicious and the salad wasn't bad. Overall I had an ok experience. I would go back here again, their prices seem a bit high but I guess they make up for it with their constant specials. I did have to ask someone to wipe a table for me and my guest and a few other things but overall it was not a bad experience by any means.

My young daughter introduced me to Corner Bakery, and I just can't stay away. I usually go to the Oaklawn store. In my opinion, this store makes the best spinach crisp salad and turkey sandwiches. There is always a buy one gets one coupon, which customers receive when providing an email. The lemon cake and fudge brownie are to die for. The employees are often attentive, and the store appears neat and clean. The wait time is minimal, and there is plenty of parking.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Oak Lawn, and decided to try out the restaurant. I got there during happy hour, and this is an above average one. Good food and beverage specials, but I had a late lunch so I decided to try their wings. Let me say as someone born and raised in upstate NY, I know a thing or two about wings. And without going to overboard, these were not just some of the best hotel restaurants wings I've ever had, these were some of the best...period. First they were good sized, most today are half what a standard wing should be. Secondly, and most importantly, they were actually cooked correctly, so I wasn't eyeing each bite wondering if I was going to eat something uncooked. And finally, the buffalo was buffalo, not diluted or mixed with anything unneeded, it was good, old-fashioned, buffalo. If you happen to be in Oak Lawn, staying at the Hilton or not, stop by and check out South Side Social. Good selection of beers and liquors, great happy hour and friendly service.

It's the understaffed hotel bar and restaurant with mediocre service. It is kind of a free for all for seating with little or no guidance. My recommendation is grab a seat and hope you get waited on my a bartender or the possible the one other server. 3 stars for dinner food 3 for breakfast food (4 for service) 1 for dinner service In summary, Restaurant food is s just ok with poor service and the bartenders and waitress ( aside from the breakfast server) could use an attitude refresher on service and welcome guests. Really felt unwanted here. Experience is like here's you food, eat, and go.

It's awful because it's in a shared parking lot and it's a nightmare to find a spot. For some strange reason, the whole town of Oak Lawn decided to go to that shopping area where Baba Saj is, on a Wednesday night close to 8 pm. Let that sink in. Just a warning, people here can't drive or walk, I wouldn't be surprised if accidents occur here weekly. Aside from that, they have plenty of parking spaces when available. Baba Saj wasn't busy at all. The restaurant is beautiful. I love the interior and I like that they have a patio area to eat in front of the fountain. We ordered a mixed shawarma meal, steak shawarma bowl, and a sfeha flatbread. The staff here is nice. I forgot the name of the older woman but she gave us an extra bowl for free. They gave us a chicken shawarma bowl instead of steak. They didn't want to take the chicken shawarma bowl back so they just put it in a bag and gave it to us. Prices aren't bad. -mixed shawarma meal 4.5 - the mixed meat (steak and chicken) were both very moist and tender. A lot better than Haifa in Orland Park. The fries weren't bad but I would have preferred them to be crispy. These leaned more on the soggy side like McDonald's. I gave it a 4.5 because I wished the shawarma portion was bigger. -steak shawarma bowl 3 - I told my gf this but stop getting bowls. If you want to really experience the shawarma, always get it in a flatbread or pita. Never in a bowl. The meat loses moisture in the open air thus making it taste dry. -sfeha flatbread 4.5 - this was pretty tasty. The meat is moist but the bread on the outside can get slightly dry.

Tavern In the Green delivered the goods in a warm friendly atmosphere. I'm not drinking these days so I was pleased to see non-alcoholic Corona & N.A. Coors on the menu. Our waitress Natalie was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, prepared promptly and served while hot. The Onion rings were crisping the outside while the internal onion was translucent and piping hot. The fried pickles were prepared in a light tempura batter but maintained a crisp exterior texture--exquisite flavor as well. I gave up red meat for Lent so maybe it was just that I was craving red meat, but the "Paddy Melt" as they called it was off the chain good!!!! One of my friend said the "Roadhouse Burger" was a must try next visit. My other buddy was eating more responsibly than us and ate every drop of Chicken Caesar Wrap. This was a good choice that delivered a quality evening.
