Been here a handful of times for lunch and when I bring people they're always surprised how good it is, possibly the best pizza place in Livermore. I've only ordered by the slice, there's a whiteboard on the side they use to keep track of how many slices are left. Haven't been in a situation yet where they've run out of the pizza I want. They warm up the slice for you then sometimes top with basil and parmesan flakes, delicious and crispy and huge slices. I always get 2 slices which puts me there the point of being overly stuffed but it's worth it. I think my favorite is Peppa Pig (pepperoni) with mushroom but I have to keep going back to retry the others. Inside has a very retro vibe and they're always playing unexpected movies or youtube videos, last time I went it was Sharkboy and Lavagirl. They have a lot of creative mixes, but without pictures or a list of ingredients it was hard to get an idea of what the pizza would look or taste like (unless you ask about each one). We ordered by the slice to find out what flavor profiles we liked the most and started with a Peppa Pig and a Jalapeño, Sausage, and Peppa, both drizzled with hot honey. Fantastic pizza and vibes. I went here for dinner where they were only serving whole pizzas. However, they do accommodate to choose a half and half option for specific pizzas. My partner and I had a half peppa pig half gabagool with added bell peppers. They were able to remove sausages on my gabagool which is sweet of them since I don't eat red meat. Vibes: super retro and fun! They had a lot of fun games to play for kids and adults. While we were there, many people approached the cook and cashier telling them how much they enjoyed their pizzas. This is a great pizza spot for all ages. A family celebrated a small birthday dinner for one of the kids and across the room a couple had a cute little pizza date. Highly recommend! read more

tl;dr: Corner Slice, the slice is nice. Slice, slice baby. My wifey had bookmarked Corner Slice a few weeks back. And of course, it took a night of drinking at an SBA lender networking event for me to finally stop by on my way home because I needed some pizza carbs to soak up that booze in my belly. Hidden in a strip mall on the opposite side of Cattlemens, and sharing a building with a Carl's Jr., the Kitty Hawk Plaza was hella' boring before Corner Slice decided to open up shop. I mean the other occupants consist of a credit union, pilates studio, physical therapist, and a nutritional shop. Now that Corner Slice has arrived and added spice and slice(s) to this strip mall, I bet you the patrons are going to end up chubbier, but a whole lot happier. After all, F that protein shake when you can have an awesome slice, or two, or three. Shoot, just order a whole damn pizza bro. For some reason Corner Slice reminded me of Sizzle Pie in Portland. Except, the pizza here is better because it is handmade and fresh. The pizza is New York-style and it is thin and doughy so that you can fold it and shove it in your mouth. I need to find my TMNT shirt for the next time I visit. I walked in at around 9 PM. If you come in earlier, they offer pizzas by the slice for $5. After looking at the menu, I decided to go with a whole Peppa Pig pizza, a giant 18" pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni and pecorino Romano cheese that was topped off with fresh basil. I had to wait about 15 minutes as they made the pizza from scratch. Better to wait for the food than the food to wait for you. As I waited, I was able to chat with the boss, Camille. Her employee, aka husband, was busy tossing the dough and making the pizza. When I see hardworking small business owners, I can't help but promote them. Not only are they a lovely couple, but they make even lovelier pizza pies. She added that they were working on getting some beers on tap. Now that would make Corner Slice even better and visitors to this plaza even more chubz... and happier! When I got home with the pizza, I was amazed at how tasty it was and how it wasn't greasy. The basil and pecorino Romano cheese toppings added a wonderful aroma and umami flavor and the pepperoni was so damn tasty. As the wife and I downed slice after slice, we were already thinking about the next time we would be getting a Corner Slice pizza. And yes, there will definitely be many more next times. Honestly, I've had a lot of pizza in the Bay Area. Whether it's the clam pizza at Golden Boy in SF, the over-rated vegetarian place in Berkeley where the only redeeming quality is the green sauce, Raymond's McMushroom pizza in Richmond, the heart attack-inducing Chicago-style pizza chains Zachary's and Patxi's, and even the pizza at Fieldwork. I have to say, Corner Slice is now my favorite. And to think, I've only had one pizza from them! I will need to try their other pizzas like the Shroom Dealer consisting of mushroom cream sauce with shitake, button, maitake, and portabella mushrooms or the Pesto consisting of pesto sauce with potato cream, pine nuts, pistachio and pecorino. What kinda crazy, nonsensical business model is this? 1) it's called Corner Slice, but only sells slices SOMETIMES, and only for two hours of the day. First thing I noticed walking into the place: NO SLICES. Make that make sense. 2) open random hours, and subject to be closed for the whole week...so don't just show up expecting them to be open like a normal business. I had to work for months to sync up my schedule with theirs, 3) closes in the middle of the day but not to insure that they can serve customers later...it appears to be a mere convenience. 4) if you walk into the store, 30 minutes after opening, you will be told if you order now, your pizza will be ready in 1.5 hours. WHAT? I'm not asking you to rotate my tires, I just want a pizza! 5) 30 minutes after opening, there was one angry looking guy in the place . He was NOT eating pizza. The place was otherwise empty. There was no one there eating food. This is not a business--this is somebody's hobby. I tend to patronize restaurants that allow me to eat when I want to, not when it's convenient for them to serve me. Since I have already gone out of my way just to try them and been foiled, doubt l will try again. Good luck but you suck! read more

Mind blown. The pizza, the store. Everything is perfect. The pizza is easily one of the top pizzas in the TriValley. Crust is something else, and a cut above most. The early 2000s feel complete with era contemporary pop brought a strong case of the feels for this millennial. I could see how this place could be good. Unfortunately, the day we went was not. First off, the good: 1) the place is cute! The decor - from the skateboard bench, to retro videos that stack the walls, is well thought of and artistic. 2) the thin crust and chewy dough. This is more subjective, but I enjoy thinner crust. Now to the areas of improvement. 1) the place is not family friendly. Do not bring your young children. The place has one bench and table where the kids could possibly sit safely, but if that's taken, good luck. The place has no high chairs and boosters. 2) now to the food. I don't mind (and appreciate) burnt dough here and there. It adds to the artisanal skills of the pizza maker and that it was made in a pizza oven. But if there are burnt specks all around. The first mouthful you get is burnt dough on the tongue. Unfortunately that did not go away after the first bite. 3) last but not least the service. If there are employees that are dusting off their nails or chatting, it usually a good indicator of what service you will get. Since the pizza slices were rather large for adults as well as children, we asked for a fork and knife to help cut the slices. They gave us one plastic knife and said they did not have anything else... We went to the car and got our own portable utensils lol One tip - (on the day we went) there is no AC. They have one fan near the open door. If there is a car that parks backwards and leaves his ignition on while he picks up his pizza, you will get a mouthful of carbon monoxide along with your burnt pizza bites. So try to sit elsewhere if you choose to eat in. read more

Searching restaurants in Yelp, trying to find what to eat for dinner tonight, I stopped on Corner Slice. Remembering all the positive feedback I've heard about this place I decided to call and see what they had available on a late-ish Friday evening. They let me know the slices they had left and a few sounded enticing so we made the journey to try them out. Upon entering the pizza I was impressed by the awsome decor and painted walls! Very cool retro vibe! I was able to easily place my order at the counter for a few slices ($5ea) and waited until they were ready. They were promptly brought out to us with an open box, beautifully displaying our slices. I had the jalapeño, sausage and pepperoni and it was amazing! Loved the sauce and flavor fusion! There is no pizza place like this in Livermore so they have something special here! My family and I just had the most incredible customer service experience at Corner Slice. Our son loves coming here not just for the awesome pizza, but also for the fun games and arcade machine. This is a small place run by two genuinely nice people, but they only have one pizza oven, so on busy nights (like Friday) you have to reserve a time to come eat/pick up. We didn't know this before showing up, and my son didn't understand it either, so he was understandably very disappointed. Joe and Kam saw this and invited us to stay and play games, and then went out of their way to heat up some slices (without us even asking or expecting).
