Great place to go. Sometimes you just accept Restaurants as being a Chain and expect hit and miss so too speak. I'm happy to say that they didn't miss a beat and had a Mom and Pop type feel to us. I had the Chicken Fried steak dinner with Garlic Mash and Sauteed Mushrooms as my sides. The Steak was tender and juicy, battered and deep fried to golden perfection. The Gravy was outstanding, and the Steak could not be finished in one sitting. It was HUGE. Price for the Colossal plate could not be beat for $9.99. Thanks to a great Waitress, she gave the option of having the gravy on the side. That will pay off later for lunch tomorrow when I warm that bad boy up without being soggy. This place aggravates me so much. The food is not that good and while they give you large portions at a good price, it has no flavor. Also, last time I picked up an order and they left out my hubby's baked potato and sauce that went on his fish dish. I called back and told the manager this and he asked if I would come back. Um no, besides it was during one of those freak rainstorms. Then he asks for my address to send me something to make it up. He sends a coupon for a free app with purchase of adult entree. This little joint is a garden variety café. I did notice that there is no shortage of fried food. Luckily, I was able to find ample healthy choices to ensure I could feel better about eating 3 cornbread muffins with butter b4 lunch arrived. I could not stop, really. Horrible lunch experience at this Lewisville location. Raw burger served to me. After ordering and waiting for a well done burger with bacon and no tomatoes or condiments, it came out wrong with tomatoes, jalapeños and ketchup. I asked for the same order but to go. Everything looked ok but no bacon. I get home and cut it in half and it's raw!!!!!! The waiter is such a loser. I called and returned the burger. The manger said the waiter told her medium rare and that's how she made it. The manager is in the back cooking! She said she should have come out and talked to me after the first order came out wrong. I guess the waiter was mad I sent the order back. The manager credited my card back and wished me a happy weekend. #disgusted read more

I've been hearing about this place through the grapevine so I had to check it out myself. The place appeared to be very clean. The hostess was very nice. My waitress was nice also but she forgot our fried pickles appetizer. I didn't sweat it since we were hungry and the food came first. She made up for it by giving me a coupon for a free appetizer on my next visit. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was a very heavy meal but it was worth it. The kids had cheese burgers and fries with fresh fruit and a salad. The veggies and fruit were all fresh. I'd definitely come back to this place. read more

Ordered the Cajun Duo with a Cobb salad, fried okra, etc. The crawfish from the Cajun Duo taste great! I'm a big crawfish fan and a big critic when it tastes months frozen but this almost tasted like they peeled the crawfish after cooking it. And also got plenty of their cajun sauce that lacked in other locations. The curbside guy was amazing also. Cars were piled up when I arrived and I see why. Their lunch price is great to so this is my new curbside to go place. Adding another comment. Forgot to comment on the Cobb salad since I bought it for next day lunch. No brown color on the greens and plenty of avocado. Very fresh. I had the false impression that restaurants might be cutting corners given the circumstances but that's not the case with my experience here. read more

Three strikes, you're out. After a less than stellar visit the last time (2 orders of very grisly chic fried steak and horrible service), it's Sunday - let's give them another chance. 20 min wait. Went to wait in the bar. Saw 2 booths with folks eating, one was about to clear out. I went back to the hostess and asked if the bar was OPEN SEATING. She said yes so I went back over to wait with my family by the table. Even struck up a convo with the couple leaving asking if we could have their table. They nicely said yes, and that's how they got the table. They warned us abt the bartender having to handle 2 tables. (She apparently warned them ahead of time that she was overworked)- the bar was half full with only 4 people at it. We sat at the dirty table, husband even went and told the hostess we were sitting there with NO response. Honestly, looking around, none of the employees were smiling at any of the customers who are just abt to drop a load of cash on mediocre food. We waited 8 min to get it bussed, plates only. Another 5 min went by and 4 looks directly at us by the bartender and server serving the OTHER table, I moved the 4 dirty glasses to the bar, grabbed a napkin from the bar and wiped my own table. 6 min later, flagged down that other server and asked if this table was going to be serviced - she then blamed the hostess for not cleaning it when she sat us. We told her what the hostess confirmed it was open seating - she said, "well, yes it's open seating but she still has to seat you....". Huh? Then that's not open seating. That's the way the WHOLE restaurant works! So we said, apologies - what do we do then. She said she wd get someone over. Btw, the bartender left the bar for those 6 min so not sure who she was getting. So, after feeling VERY unwelcome, and 3 more min waiting for someone to show, we decided to go to Schlotzsky's. Less expensive, better food, and an actual smile when we walked in! CP has almost gone under before - maybe they just need to call it quits. Don't bother with Cotton Patch. read more

Scott by far has the best customer service I've had from any restraint! Very nice and keeps the sweet teas coming!! We never had to ask for refils, he was very helpful with picking out one of the many tasty items they have. First time here and our experience was a good one. I personally had the lunch special and was surprised by the portion (very decent) and the price for it was good! Strawberry walnut salad and half a turkey club for 9 bucks. Staff was nice. I even witnessed the manger properly handle a situation at the table next to us! Awesome job guys! read more

Yes as previous poster said it is like a Black-Eyed Pea or Cracker Barrel. I like eating at this kind of place simply because you can get good vegetables. My wife liked her meal in all aspects. She had a chicken fried chicken. I had Talapia and it was fine all though it did not come with Tarter sauce( and I did not request it). Now this misses. The rolls they brought out when you sit down were room temperature. No heat at all. The salad was only about 40-50% lettuce. It had everything but lettuce. Cucumber, celery carrot. It just wasn't a salad to me. Too much other stuff and not on top as an addition, but simply the salad as a whole. The baked potato was supposed to be loaded, but did not have chives and the potato was not done all the way through. Really below average. Service was good. Would like to give them more stars, but on this trip they just didn't deserve more. read more

Best management and staff ever!!! My kids love this place for the rolls (with ranch dressing instead of butter). We come here regularly. I think we have tried everything on the menu, and our favorites are Chicken Spaghetti (available on Thursdays only), BBQ chicken salad, Fried Shrimp, Grilled Salmon, and the Chopped Steak with mushrooms and cheese (called the Trailblazer). This is my favorite seafood place all the time because this Cotton Patch Cafe location is right next door. I love coming here on Mondays as well since they have special menus for only $6.99. Their portion is HUGE! First time I had was fried catfish and grilled shrimp over fries and hushpuppies. Omg it was just $9.99 with two sides. It was such a huge portion, like it could have filled for two or three people. My boyfriend had grilled tilapia and crawfish over butter rice plus $2 more fore big four grilled shrimps. It came with two sides as well. Oh my goshh it was so yummy I really recommend! It got buttery flavor. They served us with dinner rolls while waiting for our yummy food. Nice atmosphere. It is a good place to hang out with family, friends, or even date night. Service was outstanding. We absolutely go back to try everything else on their menu. After those two the guy is waiting around, walking to and from the kitchen two seperate people came in and he greeted each of them and took an order and retrieved the other, he passes me again I said excuse me can I ask a question, he says "yes, ma'am" I asked if I were invisible b/c you have asked two maybe three other people if you could help them and I was here before either of them walked in. He says owe I apologize ma'am how can I help you so I provided my order and paid, he asked if I wanted a soda which I declined I am not a soda drinker he offered tea declined that also. Initial thought was to leave but I wanted a veggie plate. So far the food experience in Lewisville has been less than stellar. read more

Unfortunately, this place has gone south. We had late lunch here over the weekend and everything was served luke warm or cold. The chicken and dumplings had virtually NO chicken, so we mentioned it to the waiter. He brought another plate which did have a little more chicken, but not like it used to have. This is the second visit my fiancé and I and our daughter have come. We had this waitress Taylor she was outstanding got everything we needed, she even brought fruit to our table for our daughter she kept a conversation great and never let our drinks go empty! She was outstanding. We where so thrilled we asked to speak to the manager and the manager came over and was very polite.
