I ate here on my layover at the Dallas airport. The staff were friendly, the food was well prepared, and served immediately. I got the loaded baked potato with brisket. It was very filling and delicious. The ambiance is casual with a small bar in there along with regular seating. I'll definitely go back!
We were so pleased to see Cousin's BBQ near our gate in terminal B. I have never visited the Cousin's in Fort Worth, but I was pretty hangry and needed some protein STAT! The atmosphere was pretty fitting for a bbq restaurant. We chose to order the loaded baked potato with sliced brisket and a quarter pound of the German sausage on the side. My husband and I split the potato and it was a perfect amount for both of us. Now I will say, that I consider this five star airport food. I don't expect their airport location to have as succulent meat as their brick and mortar location. So keep that in mind. It is VERY good food for an airport restaurant and I wish more were of this quality. I saw some ladies with the loaded nachos and those looked pretty amazing too. Glad to have another great bbq restaurant at DFW airport. Note: They make the "kolaches" with jalepeno cheddar sausage or German sausage (actually called klobasnik, but who cares!). Just saying.....can you imagine rolling up in the morning and realizing you can start your long travel day with one of those bad boys? We would definitely return.
Sometimes I dread grabbing food at the airport--it's usually overpriced and kind of disappointing. I didn't mind paying a little extra for the baked potato with brisket at Cousin's BBQ in DFW. It came truly loaded with a sizable amount of brisket. The line moved quick and I had plenty of time to eat and make it to my gate.
I had a layover so I ate here on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a Big Urban and it got to me in just 5 minutes, so this seems to be a good spot to sneak in a quick meal if time is limited. It honestly tastes a lot better than it looks. It almost looks unappetizing. The jalapeño cheese packs some heat. The sauce comes on the side, which really helps keep things clean. However it was still super greasy. This was a very basic no-nonsense sandwich. It's uninspiring but good - even pretty good for airport food
Why do I get so hungry in an airport? Dallas Terminal B doesn't have a lot of dining options, especially for breakfast. But there is a Cousin's BBQ with a bar. They have interesting breakfast options and plain old COFFEE. You can order egg and cheese tacos with any meat including brisket or breakfast burritos. For me, an egg and cheese taco and a cup of coffee hit the spot. The fried egg was super fresh and hot. The salsa was delicious with chunky bits of onion and lots of spice. Service was friendly and quick. Order at the counter and wait a few minutes. And the taco was under $3. There is a shared seating area that was clean and comfortable. I can't vouch for the bbq, but the breakfast options are good and I will keep a mental note of Cousin's BBQ. Airline staff were ordering the egg and brisket tacos, so they must be good. There is a bar here and people were enjoying a drink at 6:30 in the morning.
I came across this BBQ spot inside DFW Airport and was pleasantly surprised. There was no line, and I was able to order and get my food fairly quickly. I ordered the one-meat plate with two sides--lean sliced brisket, elote, and collard greens--and everything was so good. The food was very flavorful and hearty. The bread with butter was also toasted to perfection: crispy on the outside and perfectly buttery, just the way I like it. The BBQ sauces were just okay, though. I tried them, but they tasted a bit bland to me. That said, the brisket was so delicious that I ended up eating it without any sauce and didn't miss it at all. Overall, this was probably the best BBQ meal I've ever had--especially impressive for an airport restaurant! I just wish we had this amazing BBQ place farther north of Dallas, in the Plano/Allen area.
This was better than I expected. To be fair, I expected awful, like most airport food, but still... I didn't dislike the food here. I only had a breakfast burrito. It was actually relatively affordable (less than $10) too. Some people complained of their burritos being soggy - mine wasn't, it did seem fresh. It was definitely wet, due to the wet salsa on top, but it hadn't been soaking in the salsa for any period of time. The contents were decent. Not a ton of flavor, but it did the job. It was very quick, maybe 5 minutes order to ready. If this were outside the airport I'd probably go 3 stars, but I need to use a different scale in here. You could certainly do worse, especially with limited options in Term B (looking at you, TGI Fridays).
Great for airport food! Got the 1 meat plate - sliced brisket, which was pretty good. Comes with two sides but I paid for a third. I liked the Cole slaw and Mac and cheese, but really disliked the collard greens which were soupy. Got a glass of wine from the bar next door and had a fabulous meal! Left very full.
My flight at JFK got delayed 4 times, so I had time for dinner. I stopped by Cousin's BBQ and got myself a 2-meat platter. My choices were chicken and pulled pork, with a side of coleslaw and potato salad. I also got a garden salad and a banana pudding. The pulled pork was a bit dry, but the chicken was tender. The salad was really fresh. The coleslaw had just the right amount of mayonnaise so it wasn't runny. The potato salad had a lot of vinegar which surprised me. I had never eaten this type of potato salad and liked it more and more with each bite. It really grew on me! The Texas toast that came with the meal was a bit on the thin side, but was still good. The banana pudding was sinfully delicious. I kept telling myself it's bananas and potassium is good for me! lol
While we were at the airport waiting for our flight, my family and I decided to grab some BBQ for lunch. Cousin's BBQ had a small location near our waiting area, so we decided to have lunch there. We ordered their two-meat plate that comes with two sides. The tri-tip, pulled pork, street corn, and potato salad were all delicious. Not the best BBQ I had in Texas, but still delicious. You can get a fountain drink with free refills. They have some sitting area that they share with other restaurants. I'm glad we were able to get one last BBQ meal before heading back home.
I am returning from a red-eye flight and was looking for a simple, easy to grab breakfast option other than McDonald's. This place is next to Gate B43. Service was quick and the place was clean (they haven't had their lunch rush yet). The food was a solid 7/10. I had the Egg, Cheese, and Sausage Biscuit and bought a cookie.
Best place in the Dallas airport to eat. I had a brisket breakfast taco. The basic taco comes with egg and cheese. Got to add potato's and the chopped brisket. If ai lived in Texas close to a Cousins I would eat it everyday! Best Breakfast Taco Ever! read more

We were here in 2013, two days after my birthday. I know it was a long time ago, but I took several photos of what we ate that night, my husband and I. The place was packed! We ordered the Dinner Plates, which include two side dishes and a Texas Toast. He had the Pit Ham slices, macaroni & cheese, corn on the cob and a potato salad. I had the chopped brisket, potato nuggets (fried) with Ranch Dressing for dipping & corn on the cob. They were all yummy, and today we've got the snow Saturday 2nd week of Feb. and I would like that for dinner! As if . . . . read more
Passing through DFW airport and this was one of the only choices in terminal b for a sit down meal. Most of the other options were to go/takeaway orders only. What can go wrong if one is in Texas and BBQ. I had half a pound of brisket with collard greens and cole slaw. Tried the sliced brisket without sauce to really taste the meat. It was average. I knew something was up when the servers on the line kept insisting on the sauce. The brisket was Seasoned lightly. Collard greens had an element of spice there, but not powerful. Not a bad option, but not memorable. read more

So when you're trying to get home from St. Louis and having to go through Dallas after a flight cancellation, the least the universe can do is provide some decent food at the airport. I landed, had an hour and a half to kill, was hungry and felt like some barbecue. Doing a quick Yelp search brought me to the highest rated joint of 2-3 options and even though Cousin's was at a different terminal than my departure, that's what the airport tram is for, right? Cousin's delivered some decent barbecue in kind of a cafeteria, go down the line and order, atmosphere and did so quickly. I enjoyed a three meat plate with chopped brisket, pulled pork and jalapeno cheddar sausage with sides of potato salad and coleslaw. The fact that I ate pretty much every last bit of all of it (and it was a lot of food) should tell you all you need to know. Best BBQ ever? No way, I've been to Franklin's. But, for BBQ served in an airport it was authentic and absolutely hit the spot. Prices felt reasonable as well. read more
I should have known when a guy who was a native Texan and said the BBQ was "just ok". I love Texas style BBQ and when in Texas I have to have some. I typically hit Salt Lick when I am in DFW but I saw Cousins and tried it. Neither the brisket nor the sausage had good flavor. The sides were just ok. Based on this experience I am sticking with Salt Lick next time I fly through. read more

This place should be ashamed to call this BBQ. It tastes nothing like BBQ. The brisket is bland and they have only 1, yes 1 bbq sauce. No heat, no spice, nothing. I expect to get bigger portions. First and last time here. This disappointing sandwich was $18 with tax. Kick them out of Texas for calling this BBQ read more

I didn't come to get BBQ but instead saw a big poster of banana pudding and decided to give it a try! It was too sweet and the pudding was whipped and more like a mousse. If you were in dim light and saw my photos of it you might think you are looking at ice cream. For $5.00 without tax, it was too expensive for a whipped air filled mixture. I didn't see a whole vanilla cookie only some soft melted crumbles of some sort in the mix. I was really hoping for some real, light homemade banana pudding so was disappointed. read more

Food is lukewarm, watered down bbq sauce (doesn't taste like anything), cheese is barely melted in the jalapeño sausage and sides (see photo) are $3.50 for a quarter cup. Go to SALT LICK in the airport instead; this bbq is shameful. read more
Regardless of being in Texas, one can't expect airport food to be any good, let alone bbq in the land of bbq. But guess what? It's pretty dang good at Cousin's DFW! I'm glad I've discovered this option as I'm at the airport often and I'll definitely be back. read more
I'm so glad that Cousin's is back at DFW. In spite of what anything says, you can now find them at Gates B43 and B12 inside DFW. They are still as good as ever and worth the trip over if you are in the airport. My favorite is the chopped brisket plate - sauce on the side - with potato salad and everything else. Always get the pickles and onions. $19 now, but hey, you're only there for a few minutes and then off to catch a flight. And okra. Did I mention they have okra!! And by the way, that old pre-packaged hole that was at B47 with the pre-wrapped sandwiches is gone now. Replaced by the real restaurants mentioned above. read more
This place was ok, we got the chopped and sliced BURGERS! Not sandwiches like the guy at the front wanted me to believe. This guy looked at me straight in the eyes and said they didn't have burgers lol. Anyways, the burgers were way too salty, even after adding the BBQ sauce. The sauce was actually quite good though, I even dipped my fries on it. I did also like how quickly they got the food ready for us. My little one did get some mac/cheese with sausage and Texas toast. Most of her plate was bland but at least she ate most of it. Lastly, the place was filthy, I understand it's mostly a fast food place but every table had garbage. read more
Had the sliced chicken BBQ sandwich with the green beans & a dessert of peach cobbler. The sandwich was AMAZING! Traveling to the south, I was in search of good bbq & I had no time so I stopped here before my flight & I don't regret it. The peach cobbler is where my expectations were not met. It wasn't as sweet as I'm used to. It was more on the tartness side of taste. Overall, great food! read more

They had me at banana pudding!! Since I had a delayed flight I thought I would walk around the airport and there is no denying the aroma. Keep in mind I do not eat meat, however, I love going and trying different items of bbq restaurants around the country. I opted for some pinto beans since they were not cooked with any meat, banana pudding and asked for a cup of bbq sauce which after a few bites of beans I poured in the beans. The sauce was so delicious that I actually drank the remaining sauce. The banana pudding did NOT disappoint either. TIPS-1. giant bottle of smart water was is only $3. 2. There is no recycling, which is a shame since the airport is full of recycle bins, so save your recyclables and just a shirt walk in either direction you can help save the planet! 3. Cousins bbq sauce is for sale. If you are headed to your final destination i would definitely grab a bottle. The meats that others were eating looked quit delicious. read more
Cousin's BBQ is the flagship BBQ spot for DFW. With two locations in Terminal B, both are new and modern with brand new signage and seating areas. It's a step up from the prior and still existing airport BBQ location of Salt Lick in that instead of selling touristy bottles of BBQ sauce and rub with limp meat, Cousin's actually has real BBQ. My order: Sliced Smoked Brisket - $10/half pound. Served room temperature and much more lean than I liked but the smoke aroma is present. One or two slices were slightly fattier and were much better. German Sausage - $2.99 side. Decent amount of sausage and solid. The dipping bbq sauce was tart without being overly sweet. Overall, Cousin's BBQ was a solid airport stop. Given how massive DFW is, I'd only come here if you're in Terminal B and are craving BBQ. Cousins accepts credit cards including Amex. read more
**My review is only for B gate!! This might be a cousin but I'm the crazy uncle! They do an ok job here for serving in DFW airport. Service was fast and line moved fast. 3/5 brisket-ok smoke taste-moister than some and crust/bark is good not great. 3/5 Cheddar sausage is good but more bologna texture than corse grind. 3-5 Potato salad typical American 2/5 Texas toast- not crispy enough for me 2 meat plate is $18. Good TVs to see. Has a bar. If you can't get your fill of Texas BBQ outside airport come here. read more

If you can get past how pre-packaged everything is, like most airplane food options, Cousin's BBQ really isn't too bad of an option. A single BBQ sandwich is under $10, and a combo (sandwich, drink, two sides) is under $15. The customer service was surprisingly good. The guy working was super polite and friendly. This is the kind of place you walk up to the counter and order your food. He was the only one working and grabbed the pre-packaged sandwich, a side of BBQ sauce (sauce is not pre-poured on sandwiches, which is good because it prevents the bread from getting soggy), and the pinto beans. The cold sides are in a case by the cashier (potato salad, coleslaw, etc). The drink cooler is also there, so I grabbed a bottled water. I'm glad I found a place that I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for, and it was quite filling! The food itself was okay, but not great. It wasn't the Texas BBQ I had expected, but if your expectations aren't too high, I think it will really satisfy your BBQ cravings while flying through the Dallas Fort Worth airport. read more
Located in terminal B - and it's totally worth it! You're already stuck in an airport so why not at least pretend for a minute you're in Dallas and get some local bbq! It's fast, they serve it up cafeteria style. The staff is always friendly and the food is always tasty. read more

Really wasn't expecting much from this airport location, but honestly, my chicken sandwich with a side of pinto beans was pretty fantastic. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, the lightly toasted bun was soft and fresh, and the side of BBQ sauce complemented the sandwich nicely. Service was very friendly (that in itself is hard to find at an airport). This will now be my go-to on DFW stopovers. read more

Great BBQ for being in an airport. We ordered 3 meat platter came with 2 sides. Perfect portion for us to share. We got the sliced brisket, pulled pork, and sausage with mac & cheese and broccoli salad. Overall the staff was friendly you can sit in tables, or high top section, they have a bar area to serve adult beverages, and I liked how they had a section where you can sit and have a view of the tarmac and charge the phone. Food was delicious even having the sauce on the side you can taste the meats, they dont skimp on portions for the side. read more
