Very Disappointed... while we were promptly seated, not one wait staff came to take our order...nor acknowledged our presence. After sitting and waiting for about 20 minutes...and NO they were not crowded. We got up to leave. The biggest issue in all this...we were the ONLY faces of color in the restaurant! Funny how a group of white people came in after we did, went to their seat, got up after looking at the menu & walked out...right as WE were leaving...AND the waitress chased them to the door apologizing & asking if they were leaving because they felt neglected! Hands down one of the best restaurants in town. Food is fresh and delicious, and they have Natty Boh on draft. Perfect! Anyone looking for good seafood should try this place. I want to start by saying that a vacation is supposed to be filled with positive experiences. Upon arrival with my family I was beyond excited, from the second they called our reservation is when everything went downhill. Before we could even sit in our seats our waitress sped over sniffling and jumpy and did not even give us a second to collect ourselves. Granted we brushed it off ordered apps. The Highlight: soup was acceptable, probably the best part of the meal; experience in general. 2 of our party of 5 ordered an all you can eat item. Now restaurant edict you bring all meals out once all meals are ready, however only the 2 all you can eat came, when questioned they started the kitchen and crab room were both different, however the one all you can eat came with other meats which would come from the kitchen. Now let's think about it, that means this 50$ all you can eat item includes meats that are probably sitting out and readily available. If I wanted fast food I would of went to the McDonald's up the block and they'd probably tell me their milk shake machine is broken but I'd still have a better experience. After pondering the meat situation the other meals FINALLY arrived however the appitite was already spoiled. Now I didn't ask for more than one helping of an all you can eat so I asked for togo boxes, my party was all fed up and just wanted to leave, where they stated they cannot take it to go. Let me jump ahead an state the bill was $350. I was not scamming I was sick with the experience and wanted to go back to enjoying my vacation. Now let's think this through.... when asked what they do with the leftovers which was atleast 11 crabs meat and sides they insisted they throw them out..... you know damn well they take them back into this "crabroom" and rinse and reuse. The thought makes me sick to my stomach. I'm also gonna go as far as stating that I felt extremely stereotyped for not being a local and you completely get the vibe that they "stick to their own kind." Now I can go on and on about this terrible experience because there is so much I left out like the fact that two of my party were underage and they served them alcohol, but I'm ending it because I've only been back in my room for 10 min and I feel that the soup is moving my insides as I type. I definitely hope this review gets brought to the attention of the health department and also they lose their liquor licenses. Hands down TERRIBLE. read more

Started out great. We got here early as there is normally a long wait. The waitress was really friendly and helpful with the recommendations. The big mistake? My son's steak was undercooked. Asked for medium, it was rare. Normally not a big deal. We informed the waitress who went to another table and began taking their order while the steak sat there. The other table was a large group. Seeing that she was caught up with them we flagged down another server to take the steak back to have it cooked a little longer. The wife and I finish our meals and the waitress drops the check. Um, my son never got his steak back. She apologized and grabbed it (cooked just right this time). The bigger issue is the upcharges. The menu states that the dinners come with two sides, but a lot of them are extra. Onion rings - $3. Sweet potato wedges - $3. Crab cake with the surf-n-turf, $9 upcharge. Now I don't mind paying good money for a great meal, but the food was pretty average. Nothing I would come back for. Will definitely try some of the other restaurants in the area rather than coming back. read more

Stopped in for dinner the other night and it was a wonderful experience! There was a 45 minute wait but they ended up seating us in 30 minutes which was great. The hostesses were very friendly and accommodating (we brought my mother who doesn't do well in the heat so they sat us in the coolest part of the restaurant). Our server Caitlyn was so pleasant and gave us great recommendations on what to order. She kept our drinks full and waited on us with a smile the whole time. The crabs here are to die for and their corn on the cob is delicious. My mother got the crabcake and said there was all lump crab meat and very little filler-excellent. Service was average The 1/2 pound (yea, that's right) backfin lump crab cake was amazing... fully a 5+++ stars...the thing was huge.. but the cream of crab soup was pitifully watery thin, and had almost no crab,,,barely deserving a 2 stars... Didn't have the all-you-can-eat crabs for $20...but several tables around did, and I didn't hear any complaints. Both my kids had the (pick 3 out of 6) seafood platter...unfortunately the crab cake they had was not even close to the quality and size of the 1/4 pound crab cake...a real disappointment...too much bread filler...and very little crab...3 stars for this crab cake I will return for the all-you-can eat-crabs read more

As a local in Ocean City i have tried many of the crab all you eat places. This is by far the best of the lot. You will have to wait on Sat and Sun for seating but well worth it. Have been 4 times this year for all you can eat. Nice heavy crabs ,spiced great. served hot to the table, no scrimping or rushing in or out. Wait staff has been excellent. My son and I had a great day cracking Crabs and having dinner.After 30 minute wait-(Thats ok) we were seated and waited.This is my only complaint,I guess being it was peak dinner time I can understand,but after 30 more minutes we got our 1st dozen of crabs and instaed of giving us double the crabs since we both had purchased all you can eat,,we had to wait between refills,sometimes 10-15 minutes.It just seemed we were lost in shuffle with waitress we had.We had to always flag her down for drink refills and finally the check.----In closing the food was great but during peak time its hit or miss with waiters or waitress if your going to get fast or steady service.---get there early or late and it would probally be better!! read more

This place was ok. Over priced for sure. I walked out paying $170 for 2 people, including tip. We both got AYCE crabs and 3 drinks each. Plus the surcharge they added on for some reason. Meaning had to Chase him down for everything. After all the waiting we had to do, (said wait for table would be 15 minutes which was really 45) worst part was I sent my husband out with my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter and she was playing in front of their t-shirt/souvenir store. The woman working there actually threw the door open then slammed it shut to try and scare her or make a point, next time, just come out and say, please don't play in front of the dooor. First time here but was not very impressed with the service but the food definitely made up for it. I recommend the Jumbo Snow Crab. It was very delicious and filled with lots of crab meat. The corn on the cob is delicious but i would ask for a cup of old bay and lut it on your corn. The service was actually very good but I feel like these guys would hand you an itemized invoice for every paper napkin that you used if they could figure out how to keep track. Been here several times for Happy Hour and dinner. Love the Happy Hour steamed shrimp and burger. I had the large crabs early in the summer/spring of 2016...they were amazing! Meaty and some of the best ever. I have had them twice since. Ordered the same once in June; they were so so, some very light, some empty, none were particularly meaty. Just this past weekend we got the $89 Half Bushel for carryout. They were also so-so. We sat upstairs in the bar in the spring, we had a great time. We sat outside the second time in the new annex area. It was so HOT and the music was so loud we asked to be seated somewhere else after a few minutes. We were moved to the outside area of the main restaurant. It was so much better. We were right by the fireplace, there was a nice breeze with no loud music. The waitress was wonderful and attentive. Only one misstep....we got our eating utensils from the empty next table since we did not have any. The third time we took the crabs home to eat on the deck. read more

I was very excited to visit this OC institution after having not been there for many years. I went with husband and son after 10 pm for a lite meal of snow crabs and shrimp, to watch the olympics. We were excited that the kitchen was open late! We left our daughter at the rental condo with some relatives so we kept our order simple in order to be back on time. Enjoyed the expanded space and the overall environment. The waiter was prompt and friendly. We got our drinks and crab soup quickly. That's where the good experience ended. We watched the olympics and time kept passing before we received any food or any updates from the waiter. After a good 45 mins he came over and explained that the kitchen (steam room) had missed his ticket. He pressed them to hurry up. We said ok but if it is not coming in a few mins we have to get the food to go. He said it's coming out now. Then he came back and said the kitchen was mixed up and the food that was almost ready was for a different table. We reluctantly agreed to get everything boxed up for carry-out. It took at least 10 more mins for it to get boxed up. And when the waiter finally brought it, he did not even bring our check. We asked for the check and another 5 mins passed before we received it. Our relatives who were looking after our daughter wanted to go to bed way before all this. We picked up our daughter over 45 mins later than promised. When we got back to our condo, we unboxed the good and 2 out of 4 sides were missing!!! And the 2 sides they gave us were about 2 tablespoons each. With all the frustration, I haven't even tried the food yet. Such a bummer because we were hoping to go back with a much larger group later in the week but we won't now! read more

Just got back from a week in Bethany and saved crab for our final night.... Looked forward to it all week and had gotten crabs from the Crab Bag in years past to take home and they were very good. Decided to dine in this year, major mistake!!! Took 45 minutes longer than they promised and ended up sitting on a small upstairs deck facing the main drag and even had the pleasure of a crab delivery truck backed in right next to our table and left the engine running with diesel fumes filling the dining area.
