Looks can really be deceiving. Walked in and thought...maybe I should turn around. It was dim and too hot. But then they brought the soup and OMG...let me keep going! I really liked the decor. Very New England comfy and neat feeling. I ordered the blackberry and raspberry pancakes with sausage. There weren't any blackberries in the pancakes but it was delicious anyways. The sausage was spicy, which I like. The menu has a lot of interesting choices (zucchini strawberry French toast, which my sister enjoyed) and lots of fresh fruity loveliness. Sooo good. The fam was looking for a new seafood place to try at the Cape (we go about every summer), and we stumbled upon this place for the first time. We will definitely be back! Lunch was delicious and amazing, and the fish chowda is a MUST HAVE. Soo good, and so much fish inside! Next time I'll have to try the coffee milk, I got regular coffee instead. Went today with a group for Mother's Day and I have to say everything was Fabulous. Besides my delicious roasted chicken with apple stuffing, I also tasted (other people's food at my table) fried clam, sausages, and french toast. All of which was equally delicious. Very good breakfast and great service! Terrific french toast....possibly the best I've had. We sat in the bar area at one of the high tops. It was much quieter than the adjacent dining room. Unfortunately, the high top tables have framework underneath that will not allow one to sit with their knees in front of them. They need to change the tables. read more

We sat down quickly and was waited on just as fast. The dinner menu had something for everyone but nothing for the kids to do (coloring papers). We ordered an appetizer but it never came, and everyone around us got bread and butter but we got stiffed again! The 3 stars are because the food was good and it came out fast. Parking is very limited, we went in February and it was hard to get a spot so I can't imagine the summer! But the food was delicious and the decor is adorable! I just had the worst lunch experience I think I may ever have had in a restaurant. I drive past this place all the time, so I figured it was time to give it a try. Big mistake. I paid $9.00 for half a chicken salad sandwich on white bread. It's billed as "special" chicken salad on panini bread. The chicken salad was tasteless and was the texture of tuna, not nice and chunky like one expects from a good chicken salad. The "panini" bread was lightly toasted white bread, not pressed like one expects from a panini, and there was just one lonely half on the plate. The cole slaw was as bland as any I have ever tasted. Adding insult to injury, the restaurant is incredibly loud (even when the screeching toddler near me stopped screeching) and I was seated at a table where a workman broke a window (on purpose) and scraped away the glass. None of the patrons around me could believe I had been seated there. (I was quickly moved to another table.) I must say, though, that my waitress was very attentive and sweet. Excellent service and the seafood pie was ridiculously good. Enough food for two to split (but you'll really want to keep it all for yourself). Generous portions of scallops, shrimp, and lobster! We were on our way to a basketball game and needed lunch, so we stopped at this great little resturant. There was a long line, but the service was very quick and we were seated right away. We all ordered the fish chowder, and I can honestly say I've never had a better chowder. It was loaded with fresh fish, and you should definitely order the bowl, because it was really good. The meal came very quickly, and the staff was friendly. It's not a pricy place, although the food was very high quality. i would highly reccomend this place for lunch and dinner. its great! read more

Decent food. I had the Haddock Reuben which was tasty. My wife loved the quiche. The downside, poor service. I had to ask ask for our waitress to come over to take our order then again to get our check. It was not just there service. The waitresses had real attitudes that need to stay in the kitchen. If you happen find yourself in West Falmouth go ahead and stop by Crabapples for breakfast, you won't regret it. The service is excellent and the food is just as good! We were in and out in less than 45 mins even though there were quite a few people waiting for tables, we sat at the bar and had a great time. The lobster Benedict is supreme and the price is just right at about $12 for a plate that is honestly big enough for two. The corn muffin is the best I have ever had and that is saying a lot give the fact that I am from the south. Next time I come to the Cape I'll definitely be back for more, thanks again. read more

I just wanted to say I was extremely disappointed with crab apples breakfast. Monday my wife and I both had the day off. We decided to take a ride down the cape we left our home in carver MA around 830 And by the time we got over the Bourne bridge we where getting hungry so I said let's get into Falmouth and we will find a place. So I saw crabapple we decided to pull in. We said oh I bet this place is great well we should of kept driving until we saw something else. It took close to 15 min to be seated and it wasn't busy at all once we sat down we waited more time for our server to take out drink order so we have already decided what we wanted for breakfast but when she came back with our drink order didn't even ask if we where ready to place our order finally someone else comes over and asks if we are ready we order and now Waiting for our food. My wife got two eggs hash with cheese toast and home fries I got pancakes and side of hash nothing that difficult. Prolly only two maybe 4 tables had guests at them. So we are waiting and prolly about 20 min later our food comes out the plates are extremely hot and the cheese on my wife's eggs looks Like sitting under the heat lamp for 10 Minutes. We both asked for another glass of water which we never got and we asked for ketchup and syrup for my pancakes. Well that wasn't the waitress top responsibility about 8 min later finally after my pancakes are now cold the syrup comes over and we still had to ask for ketchup. The Food wasn't very good and the service was horrible I don't think I will ever be returning to crab apple ever again. We usually take trips over to vineyard too it's to bad cuz this is right on the way. Maybe they need to start training there staff better. read more

Crabapples is one of those homey, yummy, comfort food, if you go there all the time the waitresses start to call you by your first name type of places. I've never had anything there I really didn't like. What I think is excellent there is their fish chowder. It's chock full of potatoes chunks and delicious fresh pieces of local haddock. And their pies.... If you like pie you have got to go and order a big ol' piece of pie because they have got the best pie in Falmouth, all the different kinds of pies you can think of. They also have great fried and baked seafood dinner plates and their prices are very reasonable. read more

I wish I could give this place a much higher rating because the wait staff is extremely pleasant. I ate breakfast here and it was lousy. I had a veggie omelet (one of the specials), the omelet was so overcooked it was inedible. The home fries were cold. My husband ordered the Crabcake Benedict and the crabcakes were mushy, his dish was served at room temperature. The meal was so bad it angered me because the entire meal was one big "I could care less"about what is served at this establishment. Had lunch here because it was convenient. Left with full tummy and satisfied taste-buds. My husband's lunch special entree was so large he couldn't finish it. My sandwich was a bit more than I needed and I was glad that I had substituted the fruit salad for the fries. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. The lighting could have been a bit brighter, but the day was gray and rainy, and I can imagine the sun streaming in the windows making the dining room very bright. It's casual and a place locals frequent, which is always a good recommendation in my book. If/When we're in this area of Cape Cod again, we'll be sure to eat here. read more
