The reviews were pretty good, but hindsight and a second look should have been a warning. It was described most often as cute with great decor. Some people like the food, we did not, not much at all. The eggs were overcooked to rubber, the duck bacon was dry as dust and tasted like nothing much at all. The lamb sausage was also dry and overspiced, tough as hockey pucks. Came here with my friend for a Monday brunch and it was quite empty, so service was fast. The place itself is so cute and unique -- I love the "cracked" ceiling and the neon sign. We got the chicken and waffles and the mac & cheese with brussel sprouts, and both were delicious and quite filling. My only compliant about the food is that the waffle cone that came with the chicken and waffles was stale and inedible, so I would've just rathered another actual waffle with it. We had brunch on Sunday November 30 and the restaurant was full. The food was very good and the service was too. The dining room was LOUD to the point of being unpleasant - probably the worst of any establishment I have been to in a long time. It was impossible to hold a conversation across the table due to the noise. This is another restaurant that's done nothing to manage the decibels. Crack is wack!!!! We went here for a birthday brunch where we waited for an hour to partially receive food orders that were salty and freezing cold. My niece made reservations at Crack'D Brunch for her birthday lunch today at 2:00pm today May 3, 2025 party of 11. We were on time and was't seated until after 2:30 pm. Then the wait staff argued about who would wait on us we were ignored. Waiters and waitresses passed by several times and ignored us until someone from the group asked if they were going to serve us. They served us and the food was good, but the service was hell If I could have not given a tip I wouldn't have only because it was included in the bill I left a tip. We came from Baton Rouge, La but will not eat there again. I will tell everybody I know not to eat there when they visit New Orleans, La. The restaurant would've been nice if we would have been treated well. Maybe I could comment on the restaurant atmosphere which was terrible. The interior for this restaurant is IMMACULATE. The ceiling is a freaking cracked egg. Like come on! Ain't that freaking cool. Anyways, service was spot on and the food was good. Super cute and Instagram-worthy decor and aesthetic. I stopped in to grab a quick brunch at the bar and try out this newer spot. The servers seemed spread thin, and it took quite a while to receive both my mimosa and shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits portion was smaller compared to other dishes I've had in the city, but it was still pretty tasty. I think this spot is definitely promising and worth a try, especially for a fun girls' brunch. Very cute with plenty of opportunities for great photos. I got an iced vanilla latte which was perfect - I didn't get that overwhelmingly artificial sweetness. The Benedicts were alright, a bit bland, albeit well-poached. I think it needed some acidity! Definitely make an appt preferably at 11 (when they open) and get there at 10:45. At 1:45 we still weren't seated, I asked what was going on and the hostess had a bs excuse (they had parties that hadn't arrived for their reservation yet... mind you there were several tables available. I've never seen a restaurant hold a table for a party that was beyond 30 Mins late. I asked if we could sit at the bar, she said if you can find a chair. I saw two chairs but they weren't together, she said I'm not asking anyone to move over for you. I asked, the ppl moved and we at at the bar at 1:45. Tried to order bottomless mimosas only to find out it ends at 1:30 cause they close at 2 . Took another 30 for food to come. I ordered chicken and waffle cone... as you can see from the pic that's not a waffle cone... and it taste more like an ego waffle. The chicken looked and taste like cracklins. But the goat cheese butter was good and the Nashville hot sauce maple syrup was on point. My friend ordered the crawfish mac daddy, looked like throw up. The hostess called my cell phone at 2:25 to tell me my table was ready, at this point I was already eating. And the restaurant was empty (besides us). The place passes the vibe check, but that's all.
