I would not recommend anyone to go here. To my grandmother maybe a month ago and they took an hour to seat us, despite not being full. They couldn't say they didn't have enough wait staff because the table we got was empty for at least 20 minutes. I went again as a 2nd chance. Complete failure! The bread was cold, but then it took almost 30 minutes for us to get eggs and pancake. Meantime our waitress was talking to other wait staff, on her phone, went to the bathroom... to the point someone else brought our food out. Everytime was cold!! Who wants cold eggs, yuck!!! I love the entrance and the walk way to get inside the restaurant. They have a little gift store that's very western/hippie stuff you can purchase. The restaurant is just in the other side of it. Wasn't too busy for a Sunday morning. The menu has a lot of choices so it's fairly easy picking out your meal. I ordered the chicken fried steak with Mac n cheeseC brocolli, and mashed potatoes (it comes with 3 sides), and you also get your pick of corn bread of biscuits. Waited about 15 minutes and the food looked good. This is an okay place. The mashed potatoes was a little off and very bland. The Mac and cheese was pretty good, a little watered down. The brocolli was covered in butter. The steak was pretty good and crunchy. I would advise not ordered the mashed potatoes, it was not that's great. The biscuits are soft, the corn bread was pretty dry. Overall it was okay. Service was nice but wondered where he was at some moments. My favorite place to stop to and from the airport! The staff here is super nice and very helpful, and the food is always great. I love to get their biscuits to start off and no matter what, I always get the all-day breakfast. Mama's pancake breakfast is the best! The pancakes are fresh off the griddle and you can't beat real maple syrup. I love to browse the store in the waiting area before and after eating to see some unique items. It's fun to see how the selection changes over the course of the year. And if it's crowded inside, there is plenty of rocking chairs outside to rock while you wait. read more

We had lunch here and have ate here a few times. It's a great place to get breakfast or country food. Today unfortunately our food took a over an hour to arrive and we were starving. Our server, Q, came and told us there was a delay in the food making and was very attentive with the water and well with the jelly for the biscuits. Which by the way we're so fresh, warm and delicious. When the food finally arrived I had catfish with 3 veggies and my husband the meatloaf with 3 veggies! We highly suggest the Okra and the Turnip greens. Both were delicious!!! You are probably wondering why I gave this place a 5 out of 5 even though we waited over an hour for our meal. Love love this place. Im a Texan at heart and love the traditional comfort country cooking here. As you walk in theres a gift shop while you wait to be seated. This is one of the perks of coming here. In the shop you will find candy, clothes, accessories, baking goods, cards, and so much more. I also love the rocking chairs and checker board. You are able to purchase this here as well. This location was pretty good, service and food both excellent. The best part is you can get full eating breakfast here and not break the bank. Those of you who havnt had country food. I say give this place a try. I love the corn bread and biscuits that they serve to you while you wait on the main dish. They have a breakfast lunch and dinner menu. All very tasty. I have had everything on their menu. However today I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs! Yummy ! I like to have my gravy on the side. I have been to cracker barrel before but visited this location first time and it was very horrible experience. Not going to this location again nor recommended to anyone. Food quality was very poor, I can understand if one dish was not right but whole order was low quality food. No fresh food/ingredients, we just tried and left. I was there with my family including 3 yr old kid so did not made any complaints nor I was in mood to do that after such experience. This is tough time for businesses, hopefully they will soon improve their food quality otherwise its very difficult to survive. read more

Honestly, the food tasted just OK!!! Coffee was very basic. Grilled chicken was bland. Fried chicken had little flavor. Mac & cheese was ok. Gravy that came was terrible. It was just flour & milk. Had no flavor at all. Don't know people coming to the restaurant like it that way or they made that way. I liked the hash brown. The wait time was reasonable. But the waitress was so damn slow. Cracker barrel is our favorite breakfast restaurant but we had a disappointing experience. They were running a special for fried chicken biscuits, but both our entrees were undercooked. The manager originally gave us 50% off the bill, but the site of undercooked meat and the fact that we had already eaten some, ruined our appetite. She was very upset when we insisted to have our bill waived, but did it after we reminded her we had just eaten raw chicken in her restaurant. Hmmmmm where to go with this review but judging by previous reviewers there's no where to go but up. We went on a non busy Monday night. I haven't been to Cracker Barrel in eons, but we got a gift card for Christmas and wanted to use it before we forgot we had it. Monday happens to be chicken n dumplings night. I think it was maybe .50 less than the regular menu so I don't really know why they showcase it as a special because there really isn't a savings. I went in with my mind set on a big juicy cheeseburger but since I figured I can get that anywhere else and I can't chicken n dumplings everywhere, I ordered those with a side of green beans and corn. James our server was quite personable and appeased me as I narrowed down my choices. I has unsweetened ice tea and I didn't realize until later that the tea was really smooth and had a good taste. I only had one refill and should have asked for a to go cup but didn't think about it until we were walking to the registers. Bae had a fried chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon plus fries and his whole meal was really a good choice. My chicken n dumplings were not super hot, just a bit lukewarm, but I'm not the type to complain about something like that so I ate them warm-ish. The chicken was really tender and the dumplings were pretty good too. I can't decide if the gravy was a little on the salty side but it may have been. From the service to the management, of which I spoke to after we were served our cold, overcooked eggs and hash brown casserole I really wanted to voice my concerns to our waiter, but after dropping off our order we never saw him again !!! Not did we only get one cup of coffee, ($2.79 per cup) but he never even came back to ask if there was anything else that we needed or wanted !! This review is soley on ordering to go orders. This place is near my work but Cracker Barrell isn't exactly fast food so I usually order it via phone, pick it up and eat it at work. I have also never done a holiday to go order like other reviewers and honestly can't comment on that. The regular staff is friendly and Peggy at the front is an absolute doll. I'm not clear on who the manager is over at this location so I cannot comment on them specifically. It does seem like during the after lunch rush whoever manages this place could have more people helping up front to move the lines along faster. The food is always good here. I have never received an incorrect order and that means a lot and that is over the span of 2 years and a couple of times a month. Everyone is super friendly on the phone and almost all of them ask exactly the right questions. I often get the lunch specials because they are $5.99 and a really great value and cheap lunch. When I don't want the daily lunch special I will get the special they serve Monday through Friday of a Grilled Chicken Salad with either a soup or potato for the same price. Again, very good value. The food has never been overcooked, rubbery or bad in any way. Sometimes I venture off the specials and the prices range from slightly higher to several dollars more but the portions are much larger. You pretty much always get bang for your buck at these places. Also, who doesn't like complimentary cornbread and biscuits?? On the phone they usually ask me if I want one or the other or both and I like both but would probably lean toward the cornbread as my favorite, always nice and buttery without needing anything extra. The only thing is sometimes the utensils will be left out or a side of butter for the potato or something like that. It's not a big deal to me since I provide those items at work but it would really piss me off to be out and about and not have a spoon for my soup. So if you order to go, just take a minute and check through the bag before you leave. The thing that is a running joke for us is that they are very opitmistic on their wait times. They almost always say 5-10 minutes when it is really more like 20 minutes. That is fine for me, we plan for it, but it's not good for the restaurant to consistently give incorrect times to their customers. Customers will feel lied to. It's better to under promise and over deliver than over promise and have someone pissed off in line, Cracker Barrel. I'm sure if you dine in like my weekend team member does, your experience will be great but if you order to go just don't be in a rush when you do it. The place is packed as usual for a Sunday, but they were able to get us seated within 20 mins- have patience. We ordered the shrimps plate, Fresh Breakfast plate and Sunday fried chicken. All were consistent and delicious. The dishes come out fairly fast within 5-10 mins. Probably due to being packed, they forgot our fries and biscuits - which came out about 15 minutes later. We had a friend from Canada in town who remembered once going to a Cracker Barrel and having the most amazing fruit compote on pancakes. Like me she is a sucker for a place that serves all day breakfast, so we decided to embrace our inner 90 year olds and meet here for one last dinner before she flew home. Side note- My husband (lovingly) renamed Cracker Barrel 'God's Waiting Room' solely based off their normal clientele. I know, I know. He really is a nice person I promise ;-). Either way, it made us laugh so now that's what we call it. They have all kinds of goodies to browse while you wait for a table. We liked too how each section of knickknacks stuck to a different theme. Of which we saw All Things White (including bridal) , Mermaid, Nautical, Peacock, and Red White and Blue. They have a large candy section also and even candles, toys, beanie babies, coffee mugs, and postcards. The main dining room feels like an old timey country cabin complete with deer heads on the wall and candle lanterns at every table. Everyone at our table ordered breakfast (per usual, I can't speak for the lunch or dinner here) and a shortage of options is something you won't have a problem with. You can have one of their yummy biscuits with gravy, French toast, pancakes, all sorts of egg dishes, and even some lighter choices off their Wholesome Fixins menu such as a fruit and yogurt parfait or oatmeal. My husband went for the Uncle Herschel's favorite (fried chicken strips, two eggs, grits, gravy, biscuits with butter and jam, and hashbrown casserole), while our friend and myself opted for the sweeter side of the menu. She had French toast with blackberry compote and I got Momma's pancake breakfast that has 3 buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, and bacon. It was a LOT of food. Next time I will stick to just the pancakes. This was actually my first time trying them and they are some of the best I've had. Super buttery and griddled to perfection. Not to mention they come served with your very own tiny bottle of warmed regular or sugar free maple syrup. YUM! The prices are pretty great also. We left overly full and sat chatting for a few more minutes in their rocking chairs out front before she went back to her hotel. I was staying with friends in Copell and they wanted to take me to Cracker Barrel for brunch since I'd never been. It was Sunday so we knew it'd be busy, but the lady on the phone said only a 15 min wait "Plus yall can check out the porch sale while ya wait!" The store has a lot of cute and obnoxious decorative items plus "old time" candies and snacks. We finally get to eat and have no idea what to get! Pancakes? Biscuits? Preston gets the chicken fried steak, wifey gets pancakes, so I go for the Harvest Sampler--for $7.50 you get... 2 biscuits + gravy, grits, fried apples, raisin bread, bacon, sausage, country ham, 2 eggs made to order. The ham was so good. My eggs were not medium, but runny :( I just ate them anyway cuz I was starving, plus our waitress was really sweet and I just was like whatever. I will never go to a cracker barrel again. Checked in and told 40 minutes after about 50 we started hanging out next to the check in and started noticing that people that complained the most would get moved ahead in line. After hour and fifteen minutes we finally got seated. After about 15 minutes we put in our drink order 30 minutes after that they finally showed up. Visited with a plan. Place order then shop. Had my order on post-it so I wouldn't forget. I was promptly greeted by friendly staff. My order taken quickly and then the shopping began. As always the cutest variety of expected Cracker Barrel fare. Found some yummy sounding cheese curls and Burt's bees facial wipes. I was tempted by a cute garden Caterpillar but a little pricey. Two sweet ladies were stocking and working the floor. They were so nice to assist. Was finished shopping and was assisted at counter by friendly Noah. He managed to get my food when I wasn't looking. He was very sweet and accommodating when getting more dressing for my huge chicken fried chicken salad. I also prefer my hot food seperate from my cold and he kindly gave me another bag. Once home, I quickly plated some salad, which was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a very flavorful crust. I had missed Cracker Barrel having lived close to one years ago. But when I moved and traveled around, I had some bad experiences. I was craving home cooking and was shopping so close I just couldn't resist. So I decided on the sampler with many of favs, that I can have for several meals. Great decision! The meatloaf is outstanding. It was flavored nicely and although I'm not crazy about bell peppers, they were minced and reduced that they added a nice flavor. Ham was ok, just a little dry. I had a nice looking piece on top, but a not so pretty bone in piece that was partly inedible underneath. I was given the country style automatically and was not asked. I would have preferred the sugar glaze. Chicken and dumplings were good. Nice consistency of gravy. Not a fan of whole chicken tenders cooked in it. I like a shredded chicken better. Hashbrown casserole tots are fabulous. Great way to utilize the casserole. Flavor filled cornmeal style fried okra didn't disappoint. And lastly scrumptious glazed carrots cooked in my opinion to a nice easy fork in consistency and just the right sweetness. The Grapevine Mills Cracker Barrel by DFW airport is a good place to stop when making your way through Dallas or Forth Worth for a few hours or a day. It provides a true Texas atmosphere with a novelty store entrance to the restaurant. About 10 minutes from DFW Airport north entrance. The Cracker Barrel has good food with a traditional Texas menu. I prefer the breakfast menu as the pancakes are quite tasty along with the chicken or beef fried steak. They serve a good portion of hash and the service was good. read more

I understand that she may be at the register but if the hostess has been gone for 5 min and we are still waiting then we might need to be seated. Then I heard someone say guest waiting to be seated and a few more min and still wasn't seated so we decided to leave. Food was typical Cracker Barrel but will never return to this location. Apparently it's ok to bring dogs in.. non service dogs. We were eating and a group of 4 comes in and is seated right behind us, lady carrying a dog on her hip basically right over our table. The hostess tells them they cannot come in with the dog, they argue with her and are ultimately allowed to have the dog inside. So apparently this cracker barrell thinks they can go around health code if a customer complains and believes rules do not apply to them. read more

Let's start with the shopping, the have an incredible clearance rack, with up to 70% off. What's not to love? Then, in the rest of the store, they sell these delightful one of a kind items. There are holiday day seasonal items, John deer items, lovely clothing, inspirational books, vintage toys and candy. So much fun Then, you can get to the restaurant and it's really old fashioned home cooking. The menu is incredible, you can order anything you want at any time of day. Special requests are no problem. Every meal we've had here has been incredibly good. I would say it's by far the best chain restaurant I've ever experienced. We kept being told it's coming, I've yelled at them, the manager is working on the biscuits. If there's a manager in the kitchen why did it take 40 mins to get out 3 dinners!?
