Place is good if they are not busy. Foods average. Never go on Sunday with a big party. You will have to wait and extraordinary amount of time. Also, the way they have the cash register "line" is ingorant. A snotty cashier told us "the line starts over there" next to the waitress stand to pay. If you want my money I'll stand in line wherever I want. I dislike this place on Sundays. read more

We really like this one. Our family eats here when we're traveling, and we like the chain as a whole. I'm glad it's in our new neighborhood. We've been three times in the last month - twice to dine in and once for carry out. The staff is friendly and the waitresses are on their game. The roast beef is delicious, and the serving sizes are so large that you must get a box for lunch the next day. Atwofer! read more

If it wasn't for the good food from the chefs and the very kind manager I wouldn't even rate this place I would just go straight to HR. It's very hard to write this review because of the pure racism and ignorance I had to face with my family today. From the beginning : (Note:Waitress is named Julia and was working in the AM this morning ) My parents have been regulars here since I was a child and myself and my siblings always come here to eat with them whenever we visit. Today we came here to eat breakfast and mind you it wasn't crazy busy at all, just a regular amount of people eating there. We sat down and waited a good 15 minutes before our waitress came to get our drink order which is fine, no rush. We ordered both our food and drinks together so that we wouldn't have to wait as long. 40 minutes later...( mind you we don't even comment on the amount of time has passed to the waitress we just patiently waited) So 40 minutes later I get my side salad and we get our drinks but nothing else . She also never gave us our utensils so I asked her for utensils for the table which took another 10 minutes. So at this point 50 minutes later we still don't have our food we now just get utensils and drinks and I can start on my salad . So my mom finally asks if she knows if we will have our food soon and she says yes and walks away. OVER AN HOUR later she comes with our food , with the bacon and biscuits missing and says she'll bring it . While waiting we see her talking to other customers and chit chatting with coworkers and never came back to our table . My boyfriend got up and asked a different waitress nicely if he could take the ketchup she was about to put away since at this point we didn't know what was going on with our waitress or how long she was going to take. About 10-15 minutes after this she walks over with bacon and says the biscuits are now cooking.... My dad then asks why this is taking so long and why she keeps ignoring our table and that we would like the check . The waitress then turns away to talk to different customers who proceed to say awful things about "our kind" of people ( pointing out my mom is Chinese and my siblings and I are half) and that we are too pushy and so on and that it's a "foreigners culture" . The whole time our waitress is agreeing with them and we can hear the whole conversation and she walks away. SIDE NOTE: these customers sat down almost an hour after we did and had no idea how long we had already been there waiting , but the fact that the waitress blatantly agreed with their racism and ignorance blew my mind. We aren't sure what she said to the manager ( I'm sure it wasn't the truth) But the manager came out apologizing and brought us the biscuits ( yeah we didn't get them till we were done eating ) I wish I got his name because he was truly a kind and professional person . In the end: I'd like to note that the chefs are great at their job and the general manager who spoke to us today is great as well. However Julia, our waitress is a disgrace to this chain restaurant and I hope the right action is taken . Racism is real. And I'm truly heartbroken over the events today. 0 stars. Worst customer service ever. Second time this location did not honor a promo that was emailed to me. The first one I let go because they ran out of the item and I understand that. However this time, and dealing with the same manager, I ordered online one of the family bundles which came with a $10 Mother's Day card with purchase. When I called to ask for extra syrup with my ordered I was promptly told my order was not received and the online ordering system was not functioning. So I asked if I could place my order on the phone and still get the Mother's Day $10. He promptly told me no, I had to order online to get that promo. I initially let it go and then called back because that response was not fair to me the customer. I talked to a girl who passed me back to Corey again who again said "it was not his problem that the online system wasn't working." I asked him for his last time and he refused and told me I could write whoever I wanted. And that I am going to do. Worst Customer Service EVER! This will be posted on Yelp, FB and I am writing their Corporate Office. It's ironic how when you call, the IVR says how important Cracker Barrel customers are. For a great breakfast in the south, Cracker Barrel is definitely the way to go. I was a regular at the lakeland location when living in the area and the staff and cleanliness of the restaurant itself were always above standard. And every location that I've ever been too was never that far from it. I always go for breakfast, never lunch or dinner so I can't really comment on that. But the highlights for me about their breakfast that keeps me coming back is the hashbrown caserole, sausage gravy, and the tiny bottles of heavenly pure maple syrup served alongside every order of pancakes, waffles, or french toast. Oh and the sourdough french toast. Sourdough, my favorite, dipped in cinnamon egg wash and griddled to crisp edges and warm center. The hashbrown caserole is a delicious mixture of cheese and shreds of potato and who knows what else that makes these so unique and fabulous. I can never reinact it at home. The sausage gravy, definitely homemade and fresh every day. Always reaches the table piping hot and delicious. Every other breakfast item, wether seasonal or regular, is always a winner for me. I say they serve the best breakfast out here in the south, consistently from my experience. Until proven otherwise I will continue to spread the word. Cracker Barrel for breakfast. read more

Went for dinner. Service was slow. Took 15 minutes to get the drinks after ordered, another10 minutes to take the food order I ordered the meatloaf. When the food finally came was cold and the portions were small. The meatloaf was served workout gravy. I have never been in a restaurant that served meatloaf without gravy. I'll never go back there again and won't recommend this "restaurant" to anyone. read more

Service was quick. Food came out hot. Had the shrimp w fries and slaw. Shrimp were tasty but TINY. Hush puppy's were hood.Fries were just right. Slaw was bland. Biscuits were tasty. Cornbread was overcooked. Biggest complaint is THEY DONT HAVE ONION RINGS. read more

Times do change. Been a 'Barrel customer for years. Can remember sitting on the "porch" for an hour or more (in a rocking chair of course) just waiting to get in. Although generally the food is good, portions are fair and menu item are varied...in recent months I have noticed a lack of service commitment and a noticeable "...oh jeez, another customer" among the service wait staff. On a recent visit we were very early and the restaurant was not yet busy by any means. It was more than five minutes before someone literally poked her head out of the kitchen area, saw us, rolled her eyes and finally came to the table. No real greeting, no "...I'm zxzx and I will be your server this morning". Finally the food came and I asked for some extra syrup for the pancakes... " oh that will be an extra $0.70 was the reply. Wow!! Actually went down hill from there. I will miss the Hash Brown Casserole and their really good Iced Tea, we will try again? read more
