My husband sat there waiting in the car and inside (while crowded and feeling uncomfortable with so many people around--hence why we order to go in the first place to avoid that) for over 45 min. Very solid first experience. Great atmosphere, beautiful natural light, great meal (Fried Chicken Sammie), and a solid old fashion. Everyone I interacted with - I sat at the bar; Adam was excellent - was polite, talkative, and very attentive. After hearing one of my friends rave about the ramen here, I decided to give it a try despite this being an American food establishment. The ramen starts being served at 8:30pm. We got there around 8:20pm and it took 40 minutes to get our food and were told multiple times it'd be up soon or was up next...our waitress didn't seem interested in serving or checking up on us at all. She took our order and handed off the food, not asking how it was while we were eating. I was starving after eating later than usual and dig into the tiny bowl of ramen placed on the table. The ham was amazing. Noodles were a bit soggy but edible. Egg was good, can't really mess that up. The broth was inedible. It tasted like boiled salt water. I ate everything but the broth due to not wanting to wait another 30 minutes for a replacement, which was a mistake. I brought up the taste to both the waitress that took my order and another waitress. I was gifted with a $10 casino chip that I could not use now but use when I 'came back'. Two bowls of ramen were $28. That didn't even pay for half our meal. The three waitresses there were all huddled up and talking while looking directly at my boyfriend and I right after confronting them. I walked out disappointed with both the food and the customer service. Likely won't be returning. read more

Came here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday after a different restaurant messed up our reservations. John and Bernie completely blew us away with their amazing hospitality. They completely turned out night around. They were also the bartenders and every drink they made was spot on. We came here before and the food was just as amazing the second time around. Urban has a set of standards items which added ingredients change with the seasons, and they never disappoint with the fusion of flavors presented for that season. The craft butter we had this time around was infused with miso, honey, and balsamic and it was to die for. Another item we tried was the winter mushroom soup which was garnished with truffle oil and cilantro which are some of my favorite things made into a beautiful soup. To complete everything is just the ambiance of the restaurant. There is huge mural on the back wall which you can't help but stare at the whole time you were there! Stumbled upon this local bar when my girlfriend and I were in town. Loved the urban atmosphere, very trendy and welcoming! We sat at the bar and each had a drink, I tried the Strawberry Rhubarb cocktail and loved it. The bartender was very friendly and spent the time to talk with us and entertain us while we were there. I was skeptical of the chili pepper simple syrup in my cocktail, but he assured me it wasn't too spicy for my taste and offered to use half the usual amount so it wouldn't be overwhelming for me. Talk about service! Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to eat since we wanted to explore the area but if we are ever back, it will be on the list of things to try! read more

I love the way this place has been decorated by this new concept. I'm wanting to come at night for a ramen noodle night, but haven't had the chance. I ordered the chicken and waffles... Amazing! Haven't had them anywhere else so nothing to compare to, but these were delicious. The kids ordered off the kids menu and were happy with their choices. I think their alcohol is a little overpriced (I had something with tequila but the flavor, while yummy, did not highlight the flavor that tequila brings - so I felt it was a waste for the price), but I'm not a huge drinker, so others may find it to be of average price for beers. I'll definitely go back, but probably not with the kids nor for drinks. read more

This place is a gem hidden in Geneva. Absolutely loved the shrimp and grits and the short rib is to die for. Their staff is amazing both Jason and Joe really made the best recommendations and were so friendly! We were just in the area and always look for something that is up and coming and low and behold we found this place. Definitely a plus we ran into some friends that also were checking this place out. Mind you they were already toasting St.Patrick's day but we were determined to have a late lunch as they continued on their celebrations. We went there when they first opened and had a great experience, our second outing yesterday, not so good. Food was mediocre and the service was terrible. Food took awhile to come out and there were only four tables inside the restaurant, fries were not hot, our waitress dropped the check off while we were still eating,with no offer of dessert or if we needed anything else. One of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The fondue was delicious and the owner brought out more bread. The apples all were very fresh with no Brown spots on them. My meal was delicious the short run burger. It melted in my mouth. The burger wad cooked to perfection and the short run wad very juicy and good. The garlic aoil wad delicious and the homemade French fries were top notch. I also tried the rainbow trout which was so good and fresh tasting and the veggies were freh as well. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse and it was great all the flavors went well together. The staff was very good and helpful as well. The only complaint I would have is that there was a touch to much mustard on the bacon sammich and it overpowered the rest of the sandwhich. Very disappointing after going by other reviews. We were there on a Friday for lunch. We were a party of 5 and just having sandwiches and drinks and still had no food after 1 hour! We finally asked where's our food and ONLY then did our waitress ask if we wanted another drink. Some of us did, but for that 1st hours she hadn't come around at all letting us know if the food would be out soon or if we wanted another drink. The waitress seemed surprised! I don't get it! An hour for 5 sandwiches and the placed still had plenty of empty tables! Really? The food was good, but nothing outstanding. Sorry to say, but we will not be returning. read more

The menu is interesting, there's a decent selection of craft cocktails, and everything we had was delicious! We ended up splitting two entrees, the pork chop and the short rib, and neither of us could decide which we liked better. Everything was cooked to perfection. My husband and I love downtown geneva and were excited to try a new place. There were lots of great reviews for this one, so we gave it a try. Honestly, I was not overly impressed. The atmosphere was okay if you're in the mood for a noisy restaurant as it's quite open. The food was just average. I got the short ribs and my husband got the a scallops, neither of us could say anything more than "it wasn't the worst thing I've ever had". In addition, the server was not overly friendly or helpful. I will say that I did fully enjoy my cocktail though. I got the pear pressure which was quote unique and delicious. Overall, for the price/quality/service, I can think of a lot of other places in the area I'd rather go so we will not be back. read more

First time here and we loved it! We came in for lunch on Saturday and sat at the bar, which is often our seat of choice. The bartender was awesome- very friendly and welcoming. He gave us some food recommendations and we decided to go with the chilaquiles and fried rice- both were delicious. For drinks, we started out with couple of beers and then moved to cocktails when we saw him making some interesting concoctions. We could tell that Lil Bernie really enjoys his job and putting his spin traditional cocktails. We had a mojito and mai tai and they did not disappoint! Everything was fantastic. Between the five of us we had Lobstah Rolls, Burgers, and BLT - the lobster roll was perfect and the roll was outstanding. Had an amazing evening here last month!! We arrived on a Saturday night and were pleasantly greeted by the gracious staff and opted to sit outside in the patio. We had the entire area to ourselves! At 7:30pm, no one else was seated outside on a beautiful summer evening. Our waitress was informative and cheerful. We decided on some delicious house crafted cocktails, which the bartender gladly altered to our tastes, and we eagerly dove into the menu, excited to begin exploring the offerings! Our myriad of food selections seemed very slow to arrive at the table, and when we voiced our concerns to our waitress, she explained that a very notable food critic was in-house with a group of her peers. We immediately observed that the table of guests were monopolizing most of the staff and had ordered a lot of food. Once we understood the issue, we settled back, relaxed and just enjoyed our cocktails. We were VERY pleasantly surprised with the delicious and varied food we received. The quality of the locally sourced food and the freshness were epic! So many interesting combination of flavors! We ended up staying for almost 3 hours, as we ate our way through approximately 75% of the menu! We cannot wait to return to Craft Urban this weekend to be wowed by the chef's ingenuity. He is truly a flavor genius! My husband and I placed an order to go, were told that they were busy and it would take 40 minutes. No problem, we waited in the car. My husband went in at the 40-minute mark and found that they didn't have record of the order. Fair enough, we placed another order and were told it would be another 40 minutes. We waited again in the car, and when he went back in after 40 minutes he was told that they were out of those items.
