Menu seemed a little small for breakfast and prices were ok. My wife ordered a garden omelette and asked for a side of bacon. I ordered eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes. Food came out relatively quick however it was lukewarm at best. My wife didn't get her side of bacon, when she asked the waitress she said it's in the omelette, that's what we do. On the menu it specifically says sides, it should come on the side. Overall food was basic, nothing special. read more

This place is amazing! [Atmosphere] A neat little cafe. Similar color scheme to a 5 guys. Really super clean and spotless, perfect for families or friends. I really love the setting, really cozy and warm. It's run by a family (wife is hostess, husband is chef, kids help out too) [Food] FANTASTIC is the best way to describe it. I got the bang bang shrimp appetizer (delicious!), the shrimp sandwich (superb!) with fries (crisped and seasoned so well!). I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu! First time there. Very clean and cute inside. This place is on the end of a strip mall. About a dozen or so 2 top tables. They push them together for larger parties. We sat by the windows and it was really bright. The staff immediately asked if we wanted the blinds pulled down, so that was nice. Plenty of parking. Think diner, with breakfast all day. That's what my mom and l came for although they have lunch items as well. Good portions. Mom had Sweet Cream pancakes. Comes with 3 cakes, which is a lot for her. My french toast was good, typical fare. Plenty of slices for me. I ordered my hash browns extra crispy. They weren't as crispy as l like them, but was glad l ordered it that way as they may have come out under cooked if l hadn't. Sausage links were also standard. Allison was our waitress and was friendly and attentive. I think the manager, Mindy? was also helping wherever she was needed. Nice little local place. I would definitely go back. read more

Family owned and run and very friendly. The food is excellent but because of that they are very, very busy but don't want to expand and lose the closeness to their clientele. You might expect to wait for a table especially on weekend mornings. If not too busy they will accommodate most changes you might need to make to an item on the menu. Don't expect fast food because it is all prepared carefully by the one chef. Love this place! read more

I usually stop in for soup to-go because their soups are the BEST! This time we stop in for hamburgers and I now wonder why I hadn't ever eaten in before now. The burger IS the best I have had since moving to the area. It was absolutely scrumptious and I highly recommend this restaurant because it is very clean, great service for delicious home cooked food. This was the cutest little place we found on our way to Indiana. We got there at 7:45, and they closed at 8:00, but still cheerfully served us. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I have the steak with shrimp and seasonal vegetables and my husband had the chicken macaroni and cheese, fried mushrooms and peach cobbled. Everything was excellent!! read more

This is a wonderful hole-in-the wall restaurant. I was recommended this place by a family member who had by chance stopped here in the winter. From the outside, you wouldn't think much of it. But step inside and enjoy the wonderful family run restaurant! The family is so friendly and ensures they take customers orders in the order they arrived. Food came out super hot and fresh and was very delicious. We didn't have room for dessert, but will have to make room next time. They had beautiful shakes and cupcakes that look professionally made, but are in fact made by the daughters. Don't make the mistake we did and pass this place by again! read more

I have now been to this place twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Each time I ordered the shrimp sandwich, which is lightly breaded shrimp with the crimson sauce on a brioche bun. It is fantastic! My husband ordered a burger, and he indicated that it was one of the best hamburgers he's ever had. My understanding is that almost all of the food is homemade and extremely fresh. Found this little restaurant after frustratingly trying order dinner online. Crimson Cafe has a chalkboard menu with walk-in and ordering. Then wait in your car and they will bring it out to you. The food was very very good! I had the daily special of BBQ ribs. Fall off the bone good, the sides of Zucchini I figured I would just not eat ended up being the best zucchini anything I've ever had. We stopped in for brunch after a wedding and couldn't have chosen a better spot in the area. Everywhere else had an hour to an hour and a half wait and when we called Crimson, it was only a 30 minute wait. The staff is wonderful, and the server was one of the best that we've ever had. To be honest, every time I eat here I say I'm gonna eat here more often, but sometimes I forget this cute little restaurant is here! Everything I've tried has been delicious. You can tell the food is made fresh everyday and it's not loaded with grease and butter...seasoning is simple, but delicious. The salmon with lemon pepper and mashed potatoes is bomb! I've also enjoyed a Reuben in previous visits and the breakfast is also good. The owner is always friendly and food is always prepared quickly. They have something for everyone! I approached this place a bit apprehensive but yum!! Sorry for the lack of pics...but I ate everything way too quickly. My partner in crime had the omelet with bacon and mushrooms. I had the breakfast plate with eggs over hard, sausage, and hash browns. It is so difficult to get eggs over hard but they prepared them perfectly. Today is perhaps the 25th-30th time my wife Sue and I have eaten at the wonderful,Crimson Cafe in Stevensville Michigan, and have yet to have anything short of a delicious, robust meal. The owners, Mindy and Arturo are as pleasant and organized as any business operators I have met. Arturo is the outstanding chef, and Mindy manages the wait staff, coordinates takeout, and curbside pickup. A great plus during this pandemic our country is dealing with. The Crimson Cafe is a treat. Stopped at this little cafe with our family of five on a Wednesday and were lucky enough to catch a day when they had homemade pot pie. It was probably the best chicken pot pie I have ever had at a restaurant. Puff pastry topping and delightful, creamy filling. It's a small place with great food and great service. All day breakfast. Fabulous spot for breakfast. We were in town for a beach weekend and loved our Sunday breakfast at the Crimson Cafe. (Don't be fooled by the strip mall look on the outside - it is cute and friendly on the inside.) High marks for both the food and their approach to Covid safety. Mindy greeted us at the door and asked us to wait outside until our table was ready. Looks like they have eliminated half of the number of tables and chairs. They were very clear about guests wearing masks to and from their table, and the staff wore masks the entire time. Everything looked very clean too. I enjoyed a vegetable omelet. Fresh vegetables and good cheese. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly cooked and so tasty. My partner had the baked oatmeal which was very different, but a fun twist on oatmeal. He liked it a lot and had a fruit bowl on the side too. Both our waitress and Mindy continued to check in with us and paid lots of attention to our group which included 3 more family members. This place is like a down home version of Steak 'n Shake. I was greeted immediately as I walked in the door. Mindy brought me a fresh brewed iced tea (not the syrup-and-water-from-a-soda-fountain type) She was attentive and polite throughout. As I sat there, she and the other waitress greeted each guest as they entered. Their 'small' menu still offers plenty staples to choose from and they have a rotating board of specials, as well.
