Not a bad place to chill before your flight. Good cocktails and food is your standard pub food.

For a airport restaurant this was not bad. I always appreciate when airport restaurants have multiple size options for wine (alcohol first fly second) and the largest wine size did not make my bank account cry. Food was good and took about 25 mins to come out. My server KAYLA (shout out) was a BOSS! She handed the late morning/early lunch crowds like a champ! Very attentive and quick to get back to me with anything I asked. If I fly through Boise again I'll be sure to stop in for a glass of wine and preflight snack! read more

If management reads this - either deep clean or resurface your tables or at minimum give patrons paper placemats. There is 1/4 inch of deep dark film on table surfaces that appears to be multiple additions of sanitizer and dirt layered and hardened to the point where the staff can not get rid of the stickiness just by wiping. read more

I travel constantly and am at this airport quite a bit. Today I sat at the bar and the 2 bartenders and the server were talking about how they only hit on guys who look under 40. That's when another guy joined at the end of the bar and was served immediately. I sat for 15 min AT THE BAR without a hello. The Boise airport is one cool place...rarely crowded, full of light. A highlight is Cross Grain Brewhouse. Great view of the runway and hills in the distance. The menu is varied and the drink menu is great. The service is always good, but I want to give a shout out to Bri. She lights up the place...one of the most genuinely friendly, attentive servers in the world. Was seated at a table and due to limited space between the table and bench, we moved 5' to a two top. The young lady came and gave a lecture about moving without her permission. Highly don't recommend. Our server was hacking up a lung. We were instantly turned off so we only ordered waters and a soft beverage. Nice to have a decent sit down spot in a smaller airport such as Boise. Nice place to get a drink when you have a few hours to kill. The good: - Service was attentive - Food is tasty - Good selection of beers - USB outlets by tables along the wall The not so good: - Prices seemed a little high. $8.50 for a 12 oz beer??? I had a garden burger and fries along with a stout from Boise Brewing. The burger was good and the beer refreshing. Total cost for that meal came to $22 and some change. Friendly wait staff. I frequent here as I prepare to fly out of Boise. Their menu is typical faire for an airport. Seating is not too bad and the food is reasonable, again. considering it is airport food. I wish they had some more ketones friendly options. The appetizers are good enough for a meal, so that is kind of nice. They service is fast enough to grab something before you leave on a flight though. read more

Extra stars for the bar staff. (it would be a 4 - lose one cause they are forced to push an extra shot every time you order a beer!) The menu is meh. The previous incarnation in this spot had a much better menu. The kale salad used the middle stems so it was fibery - eww... the brat was decent. The last time we were in they didn't get their delivery, which we didnt' know until we already had our beers... so all 4 of the things we wanted were not available. Personally i think the cobb salad from smash burger is a better choice! But if you want to sit down and enjoy a beer, belly up to the bar and hang out with mike! read more

There are not a lot of options when your are waiting for your flight to board at the airport but this is a good one. The customer service is great. We seated ourselves and were promptly greeted and given menus. The menu itself has a good amount of options and the waiters are knowledgeable of them. The food was actually pretty good for airport food, which is usually really bad. The ingredients were of good quality, the dishes were unique, the food was well presented, and everything tasted great. The pricing was also a surprise!!! Usually airports massively inflate prices but this place didn't and was very fair. It's also conveniently located next to all the gates. Overall, I had a good experience here and would recommend it to others. read more

Took forever for a waiter to come by - I thought they would wipe the table off since there was ketchup smeared all over and crumbs, but no chance. Waiter took my beverage order and I waited and waited and waited. Finally a waiter came by and said so sorry. "I forgot." I just walked out at that point. Straight off the bat, I would not recommend the "grab and go" option. I know this airport is tiny and there are not many options available. I tried cross grain in the past and was pleased with the Bloody Mary and good options. They primarily serve basic bar food with a little flair. So if you have the time, sit down and have a bloody, it's never a bad idea. Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering a grilled cheese from the not so much "grab and go". I will say, it was freshly made. They didn't have any set up and ready to grill, so the waiting time was about 10 minutes. The grilled cheese had 3 different types of shredded cheese as well as cream cheese and tomato. The only think I was able to taste though was cream cheese that was so overwhelming that it was difficult to eat.. however this sandwich was $9.25, so I ate what I could. I would try this place again, however, I'll stick to my Bloody Mary and probably a salad next time. read more

Unfortunately, we came for the food. After a delayed flight, we needed dinner. We did not want beer or cocktails. I know it is a brewhouse so food is not their main thing. I also understand we are in Idaho where there is not a high level food expectation. Nachos with canned cheese and chicken sandwiches that are pre-cooked and awful. The food arrived in a few minutes. The absolute sign it is not fresh. The chicken was cooked long ago and nearly uneatable. Why not prepare fresh food to order? It probably would have been better. If you want a beer, try this place as they seem to get raves for beer. But avoid the food. Just get something before getting to the airport as there is nothing worth eating. The two stars is due to the very friendly server. We appreciated that! read more

Cross Grain makes an unexpectedly good club sandwich! This medium sized airport bar/grill is located near the American gates at Boise Airport. You can get here within 5 minutes from any of the gates, so it is worth checking out. There are plenty of TVs and the staff to customer ratio was very high. I had about 30 minutes to kill so I ordered a takeout club with their house made chips. The sandwich was piled high with turkey, ham and a ton of crispy bacon bits. Everything worked perfectly together on the lightly griddled country bread. The chips were amazing! The were warm when I got them and had just the right seasoning. It was such a large serving that I was full and had most of the chips left after my flight! My bottomless iced tea was refilled twice in my 15 minute wait and he even offered me a to go glass. I highly recommend getting a meal or drink here if you are in Boise Airport. read more

This is a simple review. I never got to taste the food. Ordered food and after 45 min had to leave to catch my flight. The server told me they were in a food wait? HOWEVER I watched 3 tables who were sat after me get their food while I sat with an empty stomach. I was pretty upset when I left. To the mgr on duty's credit he did/said all the right things. However I still had to leave without my lunch to catch a plane on an empty stomach. Additional edit: the same mgr also manages the other restaurant at the airport and comp'd my mean there knowing I was in a hurry and had a bad experience at this restaurant.
