Had a bad experience with cashier Elias. Ordered online and went to pick it up today at 1050. After getting order, coworker attempted to pay when she was rudely told "Can't you just wait?!" When coworker asked if he can ask nicely, she was rudely told "Customer is not always right!" Coworker are noted frontliners who braved COVID, and only wanted some lunch. Not saying he should have given special treatment, but to be treated like that is uncalled for. A little customer service wouldn't hurt, especially in this time where we need to have more love and consideration. read more

Excellent. I went in for the first time and tried their ultimate breakfast sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. 1. The flavors combinations are a bit more elevated (while still being approachable and understandable) than the other run of the mill little breakfast spot you find scattered through out SF. Their sauce is signature to them. Yes you pay a touch more but worth it. It's obvious that there was thought and testing that resulted in the end product. (They don't have a lot of items on the menu but it's not necessary if they do everything well. ) 2. The level of care and detail are also unusual for little breakfast spots in SF. I saw the cook place every ingredient thoughtfully on the sandwich in correct proportions and distribution. Nothing was hurriedly slapped on or messy. There is a sense of pride and experience in his assembly that I appreciate. 3. The quality of ingredients and execution was better than average. The butter croissant was toasted to flaky perfection. The spinach was cooked to a great texture and flavor. The garlicky Dijon sauce had a very nice consistency. The size, amount and dispersion of raw sweet purple onion was perfect. And most importantly, the egg's taste / texture didn't remind me of microwaved eggs that you get everywhere else. 4. The employees seem happy, not stressed, alert and helpful. 5. It's not messy to eat considering there's sauce, slippery ingredients and a flaky croissant. It's not a compact brick like McDonald's that you can eat on the go but it's not meant to be. I'm excited to try other items on their menu, including coffee drinks in the near future. I believe they do have a La Marzocoo espresso machine, which encourages me to come back soon for my daily caffeine fix. Overall it left an excellent first impression and hope the rest of the visits will be just as nice! read more

I've eaten A LOT of breakfast sandwiches in my day and consider myself somewhat a connoisseur of wrapped egg situations, or really anything that is considered a vehicle for sriracha, and this one is top 3. This is an amazing shop. I love that they have sandwiches, crostini, and gluten-free bread. I'm a coffee and tea drinker in the day, but the availability of sangria and wine would make this a nice stop. Seating is tight. There are two or three tabletops and counter seating. The sandwich meat seems to be cut as you order. Things will be a little slow. There always seems to be one person ahead of me in line, and the sandwich takes five minutes. On a four day business trip to SF I ate breakfast here three times, and it wasn't even on my way to my meeting site. The prosciutto crostini and salmon crostini were amazing. But the egg and avocado bagel sammy was the winner. Got that twice. The rosemary aioli makes it. Also, being from the east coast, it's refreshing to have actual ripe avocados on a sandwich. This is a tiny cafe with a few seats in the window, in the space where Coffee Cabin used to be. The service is not quick; expect to wait for your food and coffee. But the wait is SO worth it. The servers (possibly the owners?) were really nice, and the latte was lovely, but the crostini absolutely blew my socks off. I tried both the prosciutto crostini with pears and honey, and the tuna crostini with apples and cheddar. Both were simply amazing combinations of texture and flavor. The bread was perfectly crisped and the toppings were fresh and bright. One note about the prosciutto offering: They put quite a bit of honey on it, so you may want to ask for light honey if you don't want it too sweet. I've been thinking of the food here since my visit--especially the tuna crostini--and I can't wait to go back for more. read more

He mentioned that Europeans like the coffee here because it's what they're used to. But other people like it watered down a bit. If you're hungry, all the sandwiches and Crostinis sound good. I had the English Breakfast Sandwich with ham. It was crunchy on the outside, melted cheesey on the inside goodness! The egg was a round, fluffy, perfect little omelette, topped with swiss cheese, tomato, spinach, red onions and a tasty light mustard dressing on a toasted english muffin. All the ingredients were simple, but fresh and high-quality. It's the best breakfast sando I've had in SF. This place is a gem. I passed it driving and came back a few days later to try it out for a later breakfast. I ordered the small dirty chai which was served hot in a large mug ($4). It tasted just the way I wanted it to- flavorful and sweet, but not too sweet. To eat I ordered the avocado and egg bagel with rosemary aioli ($6.25). The bagel had a perfect consistency and the flavor of the aioli really paired well with the sandwich. My experience thus far was so good that I wanted to try one of their crostinis, so I got the Turkey and brie crostini ($4). The crostini was about the size of my hand and did not leave me wanting. They are generous with their portions here and I felt I got a good deal from my dollar given I order a similar coffee and sandwich at a nearby coffee shop for $15, here for a dirty chai+brie crostini I paid about $9. I love this place! Super authentic, the man who owns it gets a portion of his goods from France which I think is really cool (like the lavender for the lavender latte!). Today I had their special, an alcoholic beverage (I went with a mimosa) with a special toast (I got the mozzarella one 10/10 reccomend) all for $6.50. You don't find these kinds of deals in the city!! I was indesicive about what drink I wanted and he poured me a sample of the rose just to try it out.
