We waited 30 minutes for the waiter to help us, and when I tried to order an appetizer at the same time as my drink I was told I couldn't because it was an experience and had to wait until he came back to order everything together. My Husband and I just recently got married on the 5th and decided to come here for a staycation honeymoon! Ethan was our server and was absolutely AMAZING! He walked us through the whole menu and the experience through the entire night! He also definitely calmed the nerves of eating 500 feet in the air! The views were top tier! Once you are up there and settled, grab a glass of wine and the nerves will fly right off!! The Caesar salad was absolutely phenomenal! Yes it's the most basic thing on the menu but the croutons, WOW! I'd come back to buy a bag of those! We both ended up getting a filet mignon and it was so tender and cooked to perfection! We got a flight of sides, Roasted Carrots, Fries with Black Truffle Mayonnaise which was delicious and the Mac N Cheese! They just got a new recipe for the Mac n Cheese and it was so cheesy and delicious!! We ended the night with a flight of pies! I'll start by saying this place is not "affordable" for the average guy like me. My wife and I were celebrating our one year marriage anniversary and I wanted to take her somewhere awesome. This place really fit the bill. If you're taking a date here...expect to spend several hundred dollars. The view was beautiful and the staff was really kind. Parking is comped if you're eating here so take advantage of that. I hope some day we can afford to come back because the food was really delicious! If it's in your budget, check this place out! We did have a really funny experience where I informed the staff (multiple times) that it was our anniversary and for some reason staff kept approaching her with "happy birthday". There's lots of things I could say about the service but I know people have bad days so whatever. The food was overpriced & disappointing. These prices are comparable to most fine dining restaurants in Dallas, however it lacked flavor and quality. We started with the mussels and ribs for the table & the mussels had a weird flavor of something pickled which was not listed in the description so idk... The ribs were so tough & very hard to eat. It was also garnished with popcorn? Super random and looked cheap. The salmon was actually cooked perfectly & was so delicious I definitely recommend trying this dish. My dad ordered the cowboy ribeye medium-well & it came out rare... it's like they didn't even try. He said he didn't want to be a hassle by sending it back so he ate whatever he could but for a $120 steak we expected it to be better. As for the sides, our server recommended we get the creamed spinach so we got that along with the mashed potatoes & carrots. The spinach was extremely disappointing.... It was cold, watery and had no seasoning at all. The mashed potatoes tasted okay but felt like I was eating glue, & I honestly can't say anything bad about the carrots they were just okay. For $400, we expected better but unfortunately this place doesn't even come close to worth it. We went there for a birthday celebration. Getting there was difficult since I'm not very familiar with that part of Dallas. We arrived late, so we missed our reservation, but the staff was able to get us a table without too much of a wait. The views of downtown Dallas from the top of Reunion tower are fantastic. The food is what you would expect from a top tier steakhouse. The service was good...attentive, but not overbearing. Luckily, the noise level was just right; you could carry on a conversation without having to yell. This is a great place for a celebration. My daughter had an upset tummy so we had to visit the bathroom a couple of times. Each time we went the attendant kept asking for a tip... I wouldn't even classify it as asked.. it was more like demanded. Not sure if it was because one of the times one of the restrooms was out of paper towels to dry our hands so I brought it to her attention. Apparently that requires a tip. I told her we don't carry cash and she proceeds to show me her Venmo.. it was so uncomfortable and something I've never encountered at a high end restaurant. I hated even walking by there when we had to leave. The wait staff are very young, under educated on the menu and dietary restrictions, careless and forgetful, but they're an improvement on the bartenders. Very disappointing experience at Crown Block last night. Went here for my fiancé's birthday. Ordered 4 items. The tempura rock shrimp was pretty good, but the Wagyu Croquettas tasted like one of the free samples at Costco. Couldn't tell there was any Wagyu even in them, just a mushy texture that tasted mostly like breadcrumbs. No way worth $32 for 5 small bites. After that the lobster bisque. Mostly cream with just a small, small bit of lobster. Most noteworthy however is that once delivered to our table we asked for some pepper. Our waiter then didn't come back for 15 minutes, at which point the soup (which was initially delivered luke warm) was cold. Finally, we split the $80 8 ounce filet mignon. We ordered it "medium" which I would expect to have a hot pink center. The steak came on the very rare side of medium rare. We sent it back immediately and, after 10 minutes, it came back well done. Terrible for an $80 steak. Finally, after the terrible food experience and extremely slow and mostly absent service (who to be fair our waiter was very nice when he actually served our table) we are hit with a MANDATORY 18% gratuity for an awful experience on my fiancé's birthday. Pretty terrible all the way around. I will never, ever go back there. You're basically paying for the view - everything else is really bad. read more

When We checked in downstairs the gal that checked us in was rude, we saw her check in a couple before us and she was explaining to them about some drinks etc but not with us. She kept checking us out from head to toe and making these faces, honestly whatever, but it would be nice to explain to your customers that the elevator will be taking you to the very top and your host will greet you up there. I know it's common sense but having gone to other establishments like these, the host greets you and explains everything, example (top of the world restaurant in Vegas) once we did get on the elevator there are no signs to let you know that you don't need to press anything, the elevator will just take you to the top. Once we were at our destination, I was told by the lady spinning cotton candy to check in with the lady for our table. Food- lol omg... what a joke. We ordered the rib eye medium rare, ordered the wagu croquettes, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Ok that rib eye was trash, not worth that price. It was not medium rare, that was beyond rare, I could hear it moo. The rib eye was chewy, hard. We are foodies and rib eye is my favorite, this was an embarrassment. Please don't charge this much when the meat is hard, cold and not the top quality you think you have. The wagu croquettes we're mediocre, mashed potatoes had no flavor and tasted out of a box, the creamed spinach was even more embarrassing, what was that? Everything was cold, no flavor, honestly not worth the price. At this rate the Texas Roadhouse has a better rib eye and way cheaper. This was such a horrible experience, customer service was whatever, nothing to remember. Please do yourself a huge huge favor, if you want to see the views just pay the price for the view and don't do dinner here. This was such a horrible mistake. I'm all for $100 plus piece of meat when it's worth it, but this was definitely not. Shame on you for ripping people off with these horrendous prices for food that is not too quality. read more

Also, the dessert presentation didn't come out as advertised on social media. When I asked about it they said it's marketing. Let me start by saying the only reason it is getting two stars instead of one is because the oysters were good and fresh. Aside from the oysters and the smoked salmon, the brunch has absolutely nothing else worth going there. Only one salad is included, which is absolutely worse than what any horrible home cook can make. If you like overdressed salads that only taste like dressing, this is your place. The pastries taste like something you can get at the average supermarket. I LOVE quiche and theirs was absolutely inedible. I had to spit it out!! Greasy, tasteless and cold. You get a choice dish with your buffet as well. None of the dishes we ordered were worth a dime. I had to send back the egg twice because it was burnt on the bottom and absolutely raw on top(and I do like my eggs on the rare side but those were raw). The confit was inedible salty. And again, the salad was not good and almost non existent. The Buffett is listed as drinks included except alcoholic beverages. I still don't know what it includes, because we were charged for the coffee and the tea. Aside from that, they only had water and mimosas(which clearly are not covered) so I guess breakfast only includes water. They also add 20% service fee regardless of how many people are in your party. I don't mind the fee since the service was the only good thing about this place, but I am still waiting on a response on what drinks were supposedly included per their menu. The server didn't have the answer, neither did the bartender, and apparently they do not have a manager over the weekends or a manager that answer calls or emails. The place is nice looking(not the best, but good enough), but aside from that and a semi decent view, this place is not a place that I would visit again. I think they take advantage of the location close to many hotels, but the food is absolutely sub par. I think the place can be great with a good chef who knows how to cook properly. I don't understand how they can brag about their supposed Michelin nomination with that kind of subpar food. Save your time and go someplace else. Visited with some friends from out of town. We were greeted with a ranch water shot which is such a great welcome to Texas! We sat at the bar for a little bit prior to our reservation time and the views just can't be beat. The entire bar team was friendly and made some great cocktail recommendations. The Lady Blau is a must try if you like a spicy marg! The food was all amazing but the rib cap was definitely a table favorite.
