Traveling from Phoenix to Sedona and happened across this pizza place! Trust the reviews, it's the bomb!!

Super delicious pizza & breadsticks! They do NOT skimp on the toppings, and the crust was amazing. Really nice staff too I highly recommend.

The price was great, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding! Dee was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. She made sure we had plenty to drink, and checked on us several times. My 21 month old decided to get rambunctious with his sealed cup, and spilled water over the table. We tried to clean it up, Dee saw us from across the restaurant, and quickly rushed over to clean up the mess for us. Paula was the other server, and she was friendly and helpful as well. Our family's favorite pizza place when we wanna get out of Cottonwood. The food is good & the prices are affordable especially when you have a family of hungry boys. The spaghetti is awesome & the staff is friendly. The waitresses make sure you have everything you need & you never run out of drinks. We love this place. read more

I've been here three times in the last two months. Two of the visits were good, almost great. The last visit was bad, almost terrible. What sticks out is the lack of cleanliness (read on for details). The pizza is decent (as long as they serve it hot - unlike my most recent visit). The ranch dressing is the bomb, as others have said. Some of the staff are friendly, some are not. Maybe they're desperate for employees as the help wanted sign on the door would suggest. I was appalled at my server on this last visit. She didn't say hello or ask us what we would like when taking our order, she simply said, "okay". Then I witnessed her eating while on the serving floor, even chewing while assisting another customer. She never returned to check in about our meal, refill my empty drink, or bring our check. Other notes on sanitation issues: another server grabbed about 3 dirty glasses from the inside with her bare hands to bus them off the table (a huge no-no) then returned with clean silverware. I highly doubt in those 6 seconds that she washed her hands. Also, there's dust all over the ceiling fixtures - like caked on, been there for years dust. Overall, the standards in this town are low and there aren't many options. I think that's why they are still in business and get away with these issues. Sigh. read more

Weren't greeted at all. Were yelled at and told there was a booth in the corner but we walked over and someone bags were still there so we walked up to the counter to just order to go. I ordered 2 pieces of cheese. I was told they don't have cheese only pepperoni. Did she mean just by the slice.? I was so confused. Pepperoni is literally cheese with a piece of meat on it so it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't have cheese. read more

We are up in Camp Verde for a girls basketball tournament again this year. Tried to go last year but they were full and couldn't accommodate our entire team (they were too packed because the food is so good). Today, we made reservations early and provided the entire order earlier in the day. When all 20 of us walked in, our tables were set and the food was ready. And it was after their operating hours. The manager and chefs were so accommodating and everything was fantastic. Great big portions of awesome food! Given the choice - I'd take Crusty's pizza over Domino's which is located a few doors down in the strip mall. Pizza is always good, and the antipasto salad is delish (and HUGE if you order the large, like 6 people can share it and have some left over). The garlic knots are great as well. Service is always very nice and personable but just a heads up, quite often (OK almost every time) it takes quite awhile to get your food. It's not the place to go if you are in a rush. They also serve some other things like calzones, pasta, sandwiches etc. I've tried a few but I prefer to stick with their pizza. It's Camp Verde, we are kind of limited on food choices but it sure isn't bad! No complaints here! =) read more

If I could I would leave negative stars. This place was absolutely disgusting. Very dirty the walk way in was covered in a water from a hose and white stuff. The inside was super dirty the fans above the eating tables were covered in dirt,dust and grease and running I though I was going to get that in my pizza. The pizza was not cooked hardly at all. little disappointed. they were packed. understaffed. okay, I could deal with that. But I had been told the pizza was great. must have been off day. Pizza was under cooked (doughy). lots of toppings but fell right off for lack of any cheese holding it on. Wings were good (small) so thats why 2 instead of 1 stars. we didnt try the antipasta salad but it looked good. side note; woman in charge was nice to customers but we observed her being very openly rude to the staff. not a good display. read more

The first time we ate here the pizza was great. The 2nd & 3rd time we were very disappointed in the pizza. The crust was about 2" into the pizza which left very little pizza to eat. Not sure I will give them another chance. read more

The pizza is really good here, although I'm sure our dough wasn't cooked all the way through. The atmosphere is fun, it's like one small family working together. The problem is that they seem to forget they are not at home but in a business. Our 12 year old made the comment " the pizza is like a salad on top of pizza bread". I have lived in Camp Verde since December of 2017 and I have been very curious about this place so I decided to go check it out with a friend and when I walked in we seated ourselves. The floors were disgusting but we sat done anyways. For about 15 minutes we waited for our waitress to come and greet us during that time she only said two things but we still decided to stay on account that sometimes people have bad days and we are human so we understood.. we finally figured out what we wanted to eat fettuccine alfredo and a half order of spaghetti.. It didn't take any time for the food to be cooked at all which was nice but then we ate it and we were sadly disappointed by the quality of food for the price said they were selling it for. After the mail we ask for the check and I proceeded to walk up to the counter and pay my bill and I gave the waitress more than 20% of the bill as a tip hoping that she would say thank you but instead she just turned around and walked away. I have never been to a restaurant where I felt so unwelcomed. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone read more

From the outside, Crusty's looks like a dive. Don't be fooled. The menu is fantastic. The pizzas are wonderful, and the salads are large. As for the cheesy garlic bread, it's incredibly addicting. As for the staff, everyone is very friendly and courteous. This place is worth the stop. read more

I have eaten here a bunch in the last 2 years I have lived in the Verde. When its good its fantastic however, when its bad its really bad! If there are a lot of people dining in save your money and walk out. They have great lunch specials and the people are always friendly. Walking into Crusty's is like walking into a 1980's pizzeria it kinda charming in the old building ad 80's look. read more

On my way to visit friends in Scottsdale, I stopped here. I don't know what anybody with positive comments about this place was thinking. I had never tasted cardboard before but i'm pretty sure I did when I went to Crusty's. They picked a great name for this nasty pizza place. The pizza was cold but even if it wasn't, it wouldn't have helped get rid of the nasty plain "cheese" or whatever you'd call it and the sauce was disgusting and put on top of flimsy soggy plain crust. We stopped here a while back on our way home from Flagstaff and I forgot to review it. Not wanting chain food, we picked this place based on other reviews and it was well worth it. The place was busy when we walked in and we only saw one waitress, wish we would have gotten her name because she had the whole place under control and had our drinks and food on our table very quickly. We had pepperoni pizza and fettucini Alfredo with chicken. The fettucini came with salads and homemade bread sticks and everything was amazing. The portions were so big we even have enough for another meal. We will definitely be stopping again when up this way. read more

I hate to let the world know about the best pizza around, but Crusty's is it. Yes, this is a small hamlet, but we have several places that serve pizza including a Dominos; so we aren't deprived of pizza choices. I always get mine to go, as I'm lucky enough to live in this little place, but I have eaten in the restaurant too. Service can be slow if someone doesn't show up to work, or if a local youth sports team is celebrating there, but it's worth the wait. The pizza it the best, but the bread sticks and antipasti salad are good too. Sandwiches are yummy and the pasta will do if you're craving pasta. Every time we have company in town, we share the secret of Crusty's with them. Then we get to hear how they can't wait to come back and have it again. Just so you know, they do not have a covered porch to sit under as one reviewer stated, Crusty's is in the Outpost Mall near Bashas'. It has been there for the over 20 years I've lived here, and I hope it's there for another 20 years. By the way, they have the best ranch dressing I've ever tasted, and it's great to dip your crust into. Yum!!! read more

While passing through Camp Verde for work, my colleague and I decided this place was a safe bet. Next to Basha's grocery store, it is well lit and easy to find. The lunch specials: a slice for about $1 or 2 slices of pizza and salad for under $5. They also offer all-you-can-eat spaghetti and pizza deals during weekdays!! The decor inside is a little bizarre, but it's bright and cheerful. The staff were very friendly and down-to-earth. It seemed they knew the names of everyone in the restaurant! Most of the patrons were senior citizens, and there were also a few families with children. My colleague ordered the Crusty special pizza and was delighted, saying it was "amazing!" The crust was baked fresh and tasty. I ordered a small white pizza with mushrooms. Yum! The prep time was minimal for our order, but we were able to taste the freshness. No exotic toppings, no fancy frills. Crusty's is a down-home pizza place with a special place in its four walls for the locals and the passers-through. Will definitely return on my next trip up north! read more
