I love Crystal Spa, it's walking distance from me and in a safe area so I always feel comfortable coming here. The spa is smaller than Wi Spa but it has everything I need. I've been coming for years and noticed they stopped heating the main floor, unless that's just a winter thing. After the hot tub I like using the dry sauna, charcoal room, then salt room, then mud room, and cool off in the ice room. I got a body scrub and massage for the first time with Anna and getting the 90 min one is worth it because it waives the entry fee. You also get much more than a scrub and massage because they also did a mini facial and hair mask for me too. It's leaving my hair soft for days and my skin feels so smooth. The scrub was very thorough and gentle and got so much dead skin off me. The massage is primarily focused on my upper back, I think I'll try a deep tissue massage next time to get deeper into my muscles. I originally expected it to be a quieter, more private area, but workers will have pretty loud conversations with each other while you are receiving your service. Thankfully this didn't last too long because it made it difficult to relax but don't come here thinking it will be a dark quiet room like other massage parlors. The food is a bit on the pricier end but the portions are pretty big (expect to spend about $20 per dish). Overall would choose coming here over other co-ed spas as it has everything I need, isn't crowded and is kept clean. read more

Mixed experiences here and I've been coming for years! Parking - it's validated parking in their parking structure, which I love. Check in - the ladies are super nice at the front and it's quick. Pricing - it has gone up in recent years and I don't really see the pricing being justified since the place has not been kept up. Locker rooms - they're clean and big enough to store all your things. Showers - they're a little outdated and dirty. I see mold in some cracks. The water pressure is amazing though. Hot tub, saunas - they have these spiked floor mat that hurts your feet and you're not allowed to wear shoes in there. Also can use a facelift and deep clean. The body scrub itself - here is where I would give 10/5 stars. Anna is AMAZING. I love the way she pays attention to every inch of your body. I come out feeling like a dolphin when she's done. I would recommend this place solely for her and her services. Common area - it's small, but it works. You have mats to lay on and nap. There's also a few different types of saunas as well. Some of the saunas need some TLC. They're pretty ran down. There's an also a restaurant. I've eaten there a few times but it's nothing special. I will never return to this spa. I booked a 1.5-hour acupressure appointment with Sol, specifically seeking relief for neck and shoulder pain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before we began, and repeatedly throughout the session, I explicitly told her to completely avoid my lower back due to an 11-year chronic injury that was finally under control thanks to my orthopedic surgeon last year.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead of listening, she dismissed my concerns. Even after a third reminder, she told me, "Don't worry, it'll be okay," and continued to work on my lower back, even using her feet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her ego and total lack of respect for my boundaries completely ruined the experience--I couldn't relax at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To make matters worse, there was also a large roach in the women's bathroom, which speaks volumes about the hygiene of this establishment. I used to go to Spa Palace but they up their pricing so I decided to check out Crystal Spa. Normally, it's $30 all day but if you go before 9am, it's only $20. The massage chairs are a little worn, but they still feel great and they only cost one dollar for three minutes kind of like the ones you have in the mall. It's not chaotic. It's not crowded. Half the time when I'm here, the sauna is empty or there's just one quiet person inside. Same with the steam room -- sometimes it's just me. If you're the kind of person who wants silence, space to think, decompress, meditate, or just stare at a wall and breathe... this is the place. It's very clean. The water is always fresh. You can tell they maintain everything really well. And I love their cold plunge. My routine is simple: sauna cold plunge sauna cold plunge repeat. It hits my inflammation perfectly and I feel brand new afterward. But the BEST part -- and honestly the reason I keep coming back -- is the little cafeteria. I don't know what they officially call it, but to me it's like a Korean mom's kitchen. The lady who cooks there... she feels like her calling in life is to feed people with love. Cant believe the price seemed to be the same as 10 years ago. $30 day, $20 with service. Sat 10a was pretty empty and chill. But then about noonish-1 a bunch of Korean people rushed in. I guess the kspa rage is over with young ppl. 10-15years ago it was so popular with young ppl. Today was full of normal old korean ladies. Workers here are totally Korean! English is minimal. And you think theyre yelling at you but they really arent. Haha I had a foot massage and friends had the scrub. They said they enjoyed it. I got kinda got yelled at (like the normal korean way) bc i wasnt where i was supposed to be. I was in the bathhouse but for the foot massage (and i assume other body massages) to be in the coed jjimjil room. The front desk should tell me this. Also someone NOT KOREAN walked into the coed naked during my foot massage. Korean lady workers yelled "you have to put clothes on" repeatedly. The front desk needs to do better esp with non korean guests. Other kspas hand you the t shirts and shorts and tell you that you must wear them in the coed place after a shower. Oh their clothes need a lil update imo. Some looked really worn out. I still got my foot massage.. which isnt like the typical chinese foot massage places. It was a bit boring and repetitive and they didnt massage my head shoulders or arms. Normally acupressure foot massages does a little. For scrub, they only recommend you do hot bath before. The standing showers need a little tlc. It was kinda looking gross. The hot and cold tubs were ok but could be nicer. Sauna rooms were fine. I dont recall seeing toothbrush with salt... wonder if they had it. They provide soaps but dont know if its really aveda. Body lotion seemed to be aveda. We decided to grab a quick lunch but it took longer for the food to come out. It was only 1 sweet lady working the food and she did tell me (later) that the chicken soup takes a while. My friends and I found our experience to be a one and done. We decided to try a new establishment as our usual venue was undergoing maintenance. The flooring featured spiked hole mats, which we found quite uncomfortable to walk on, almost as if they might cause blisters. We also believe the showering facilities are in need of an upgrade, as they appeared quite dated and were not fully functional. Returned to my old neighborhood yesterday and decided to have a little Korean spa date! When comparing with my last review here 7 years ago, it's a parent why I always come to this location! The dry sauna, co-ed rooms (mud, charcoal etc), and hot tub are all very hot and relaxing! They still use Aveda products! The scrubs are still on point very detail and effective (shout out to Mimi - you're amazing. PS ~ cost is now $75 total which includes entry fee). Parking is still FREE and plentiful, etc. The towel situation is also improved; newer fluffier and they give you 3x! The patrons were also a lot more civilized with people that are privy to spa etiquette and just keeping to themselves, which is great. I'm not sure what I met in my older review about the coed rooms being ratty, but they were totally clean and people were very respectful. We did not try the restaurant, but many people were and it's nice to have that option in the event you're hungry! I do think that if they changed the faucets and did a little bit of tile work that this place could really shine. It would've also been great to have disinfectant wipes or spray to ensure that the communal pillows and mats were cleaner since people are sweating, and those things are shared grossed me out a little bit. It's safe to say that this will always be our go to for the reasons mention above and for the clear consistency that they have maintained for almost a decade, plus! We also love that the H Mart is on the first floor so we bought all of our favorite snacks and vegetables and meats and soups after to continue the Korean spa vibes in the comfort of our own home! read more

My lovely friends surprised me with a good package spa experience! It was my first time going a Korean Spa. They split female and side side lockers. You get a bracelet with a locker number on there to lock and unlock your items in the locker room. Within the locker room, there are dry saunas, wet saunas, hot tub, cool water tub, and showers. You get one body towel and one face towel. No swimsuits are allowed. You first need to shower and then you can use the amenities until your number is called. When your number is called they take you to a section where you can get the body scrub and wrap at. Everything is done in that spot including the massages. When you complete the spa experience you go back to the locker room and you can use the clothes that they have available to wear into the common areas to meet with the rest of your party. Within that common area, there are many other relaxation room. You honestly can spend a good amount of time here with all the amazing amenities! As someone who's only dipped a toe into the world of Korean spas (Wi Spa being my first), I wasn't entirely sure what to expect--would it be serene? chaotic? Would I be yelled at by an ajumma mid-massage? Spoiler: it was none of the above. Crystal is the chill cousin of Wi Spa. Smaller footprint, yes, but way less crowded, which was a huge win for my inner introvert. I wasn't dodging bodies in the hot tub or waiting awkwardly for space in the sauna like it was club night. Everything was clean, peaceful, and spa vibes were on point. I booked an acupressure massage and let me tell you--it was *not* the kind of massage where someone gently pets you while Enya plays in the background. This was a therapeutic, borderline athletic experience. My back cracked in new languages. My tension left my body and probably moved into someone else's. It was glorious. The salt room, mud room, saunas, and hot tubs all did their job of making me forget what day it was, and I appreciated the mellow energy throughout the space. The co-ed area was not for me, ppl chitchatting, ppl on their phones with the volume loud, their little food area is literally within that same area, so ppl eating there are also having conversations, it's a very noisy area. Also not very clean when it comes to using the mats, pillows and blankets, ppl just use and return over and over, no one is cleaning the area. overall great experience! We used to go to imperial spa because of the strong jets, but they have closed down, so we were forced to find another place. After reading recent scary reviews of wii, i decided on a new spot due to the early admission price. After doing some research, seemed most places admission is $30, spa palace which we've also been to was now $35, some places didn't offer food, and had a limit of 2 hr or 4 hr. (we like to stay for 6+ hrs at a time) Went on a Monday, arrived maybe almost 15 mins after 8:30, but they still honored the early admission for $20, which was great! I asked for a tour since it was our first time and she did mention the early admission was for 4 hrs, and if we stayed longer, we'd get charged extra $10, however when we checked out, we did not get charged. SCORE! They valid parking for 6 hrs but when we went in, the parking bar was opened, and opened as well when we left. so free parking. Food kinda pricey, which is expected, but at least very tasty, so i was happy. we got the cold noodle $18 and spicy pork bulgogi $22. we didn't order the galbi since it was $39 Cold room not cold at all and no clay ball room, but all hot rooms, dry and wet sauna were super duper hot! Would recommend bringing shower slippers since my feet were hurting soooo bad from stepping on the non slip floors. Not as big as wi or spa palace, but definitely much bigger than hugh spa. in the womens section 1 hot tub and 1 cold tub dry sauna wet sauna stand up and sit down showers Place was clean. would definitely go back. read more

Decent co-ed kspa. Went on a Monday and there were a lot of people. Pretty small. Free validated parking. Brought my partner here and I think it's a good alternative to larger kspas especially if you don't plan to stay long/ are coming for just the treatment. They were able to accommodate us for same-day (treatments are separate by gender). I got lucky that no one else was really using the pools when I was using them. The cold pool in the women's section is one of the coldest I've experienced-- my muscles enjoyed it very much! They didn't have a room for women to just relax which I noticed other co-ed kspas have. I was also lucky that when I went in for my treatment (gold special- 2 hours) that no one else was there. There were many, many tables available. Soo provided my service and she made me baby smooth. She was gentle around my feet which had wounds I asked her to avoid. The gold wrap is kind of gimmicky, it was literally an emergency blanket. I felt like a piece of salmon baking in marinade in aluminum. My partner enjoyed his service and had a talkative staff. He said he noticed the massage really helped him for problem areas in his back. We were both so smooth even weeks later! Common areas and rooms were small and hard to enjoy. The cold room wasn't cold. I've only been here twice (first with my fiancée as a gift and 2nd time with a group of 4) ! They definitely meet my Korean drama jimjjilbang dreams and my spa needs! Located on 3rd floor - it's right across the phoenix karaoke lounge. Parking: validated 6 hr parking garage (shared w Hmart) We were greeted by the same ahjumma and let her know what services you're here for. For special treatments like a scrub, facial or massage, you need to call and make appointment ahead. But if you're here for the general amenities like the saunas, salt rooms, and tubs, you just pay the general day admission fee of $30 to use them all! If the lady knows it's your first time, she'll walk u through the protocols and rooms you can go into. As you first enter the locker room, PLEASE take your shoes off as you step foot on the carpet - or you'll track dirt onto the floors in the room. You'll be given a waterproof wristband w a locker number on it that you can scan to open and lock your locker. You must be fully naked - you can bring a towel (provided in your locker) around you if you absolutely need. Next you shower before use of the wet amenities in which they provide their shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the dispensers. The water pressure is AMAZING - powerful. Then you can enjoy the tubs or saunas! I think everyone does this in this order: hot tub - cold plunge - steam room - dry sauna - back to shower. They have standing and sitting shower areas. I definitely recommend the sitting one just as I see in dramas haha. All that took about 30-45 mins. Then if you have a special treatment, they'll call your locker number to get started. I got a gift certificate for the Body Scrub and Aroma Oil Massage ($130 for 90 mins - waived day fee ). If you saw Conan and Steven Yeun get it in Korea, it's definitely not as painful they make it to be. They did a very thorough job of "descaling" me like a fish in the market LOL. I was flipped over, scrubbed, and tossed water at during the scrub part - it was quite a hilarious experience. Then comes the aroma oil massage, and it felt soooo good. The ahjumma working on me was strong and loosened up some knots. I would definitely recommend getting this if you want to have rejuvenated baby skin! Once you're done w the wet areas, you can head back to the locker room, and dry off and change to use the community area! You can grab the clothes from the cubbies along the back wall. This is prob my fav part bc you can order Korean food and relax w your friends! Remember to bring your phone or laptop w you if need! They have Wi-Fi. We enjoyed the roasted eggs (3 for $6 yikes) and rice punch ($6). No need to bring your wallet as they note your locker number and you will pay for the items when you exit the locker room at the end of your visit. Lastly, they have multiple dry rooms you can relax in. My favorite was the salt room - perfect temperature and rock pressure on my body when lying down. And if any of the rooms are too hot; there's a cooling room too! When you're ready to finish your visit, you can dry your hair with their dryers and use their brushes or combs; however, not everyone cleans out their hair after usage, so okay to bring your own lol. I really love my experience here. I cant wait to try this out in Korea but this place definitely is worth it even if you're coming just for the general amenities! Me and my friend were looking for a relaxing get away and it was everything but that. First they walked us in and told us to shower and get in the jacuzzi before our service. I asked if they had shoes for us to wear and they say no and we had to be barefoot. The whole set up was everything but relaxing. They had a big room with about 6-8 beds all separated by a small glass wall and had us lay on beds that werent very sanitary. We booked a hour and a half body scrub with a oil massage. When she was scrubbing she was moving my arms legs and head aggressively and was holding conversation with her coworkers. She was also using a bar of soap which smelled like irish spring! After the scrubbing was done she had me go and shower and then come back for the massage and that massage was the worst part. She was very aggressive with the massage and moving very fast (which makes my body itch from the fast movements) when i went to scratch my back she slapped my hand out the way. This was one of the most demoralizing, inhumane, and horrible experiences of my life. I am wheelchair user and was flat out denied entry on the basis that I might make other guests uncomfortable. (I was also asked why I even use a wheelchair, which is a bizarre question to ask a customer. Or anyone) I have encountered plenty of ableism in my life, but most is subtle, hidden, and systemic: a step to get in a house; a few extra eyes on me on the street; a broken wheelchair from an airline (stairs, stares, and wheelchair repairs). But very rarely is the ableism I encounter so blatant that I'm flat out denied entry because my body looks different than others. If I ever get the energy, I'll either cry about this or get litigious. Until that happens, just don't support this place. They should be shut down. Sure, it's a spa. It's a luxury and there are other more important battles to fight, especially ones that help others survive, like health care and housing and things like that. I had the antiaging facial, and it was great. Professional, thorough, equipment exceptional and no irritation of my skin.

I like this spa. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk staff is friendly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], it is well priced and the facilities are small, clean and not too crowded. The only reason I don't rate it higher is because the sauna and the steam room are incredibly hot. I prefer hotter rather than cooler but you can easily be scalded (I'm not exaggerating) after just a very short time. read more

So I finally had the opportunity to visit Crystal Spa yesterday. Definitely a four star establishment because of its size and heat of the wet and dry sauna and hot tub. Really a great place to relax though! Be sure to park on P2 level for up to 6 hours of free parking with validation. My experience was similar to most of the other reviews: 1) very friendly and helpful staff. One of the men's treatment specialists was not only friendly with a pleasant and cheerful greeting, but he also was engaging with conversation as well; 2) clean and bright; 3) plenty of towels and Jjimjilbang uniforms; 4) delicious smelling food (didn't taste any though); 5) intimate (smallish) hot and cold pools; 6) very hot steam and dry sauna (at least too hot for this Caucasian man): The bathing/showering area is sufficiently large for standing or sitting showers. The Jimjillbang has four saunas of varying temperatures--very nice and a large communal area that is spacious. The smallness of the men's wet area is NOT a drawback for me because I like to experience the closeness and uniqueness of men bathing and relaxing in the saunas in the communal context of a Korean spa. Here Crystal is "spot on!" The clientele is vastly Korean from what I could tell and I felt very welcomed and accepted. Overall--wonderful. Scheduled an aroma oil massage + body scrub at 1pm on a Sunday. I got Soo and...I'd skip her. She favored one side of the massage table so my right back and left front got the most love. The pressure wasn't great for the massage and I'm really confused what aroma oil massage means when it's just regular massage oil with no fragrance. I was most excited to get the area behind my ears scrubbed and...she didn't even touch that area. I'm wondering if my mistake was booking an appointment so late in the day and the masseuse was tired by 1pm. Maybe I'll give this spa another try in the future with a morning appointment. I will say, I love how my hair feels right now. I need to find out what Aveda product they used on my hair. read more

Crystal Spa doesn't disappoint for a K-spa. Scheduling a scrub is easy and fast with just a phone call. Located on the third floor, walk in and check in. The entrance fee is $30 but if you get a service like a scrub then it's discounted. If you're new to Korean spas then you'll have a bit of shock. You'll be completely naked inside the locker room for either men/female. Inside locker rooms are showers, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge tub and lockers. There are towels but they are mini. There are pants/shirt sets by size to put on and go to the co-ed area. The ground is heated in the main area. There are 4 rooms, 1 cold and 3 hot. They can get crowded during peak times. Very relaxing and be prepared to sweat. Parking is validated in P2 of Hmart lot. Just go to the right lot. read more

For the price, this is an excellent day spa. It's never too busy. The prices for treatment are lower than competitors but very good quality. I've had two acupressure massages by two different people and both were great. It's not as luxurious as some others but if you want the basics and some good value services, this is an excellent spot. read more

Crystal spa offers discounted admission ($20) on weekdays if you enter before 9am, instead of their regular admission fee ($30). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called ahead yesterday to confirm, but today they didn't honor the early bird admission saying they don't grant the discounted fees on holidays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].. Really great services for reasonable prices! It's not ultra luxurious however the body scrub and massages are excellent! Highly recommend and free 6 hours of parking. Hot tub, saunas and hot stone rooms were all kept clean and the blankets and pillows to sleep on were all good quality. read more
