It was Swiftlywood as of August 1st and saw online that this place was going to have a special menu for Taylor Swift in mind. I dragged my cousins to come with me as I didn't know exactly where it was. This location is right next to the Santee Alleys. There is a car garage across the street from the restaurant where you can park your car for some payment. We unfortunately got there a little late and couldn't get a few of the drinks as they were out but the food and drinks we had were delicious. The tortillas were handmade and the meat was flavorful. I'm glad they had this event as it brought me to this location. The drinks as stated were so good that I am sad I left my drink in the table. The ambiance along with the service were great. Cute little spot you would want to try out if you have the chance.

Man, where do I start. Those photos you see of yummy food do not reflect taste. This time, I was drawn by the photo of Morrjarra Playe with rive, beans Ensalada y tortillas hecha a mano.... No way this was the best meal I had in a while that met expectations. Whatever you do, stop by . Was the food good, oh hell, yeah!. And the price, well worth

Parking is a nightmare here! There are men whistling for you to go into "public" parking lots that show $3 signs and then you'll get in, and another person tosses a ticket in your car and says $20! We turned around and he seemed irate. We had to park far in order to find a somewhat safe spot (we had a lot of outlet shopping bags in the vehicle). Upon walking into the place, your met with hardworking people. They're nonstop busy abut friendly and attentive. The restaurant is worn down and the floors and grout are definitely in need of a makeover. Weather was hot and there is no AC in here. Lots of fans though. Food was large in portions and well worth the price. I ordered the chile relleno plate. HOME MADE TORTILLAS! That was a very nice surprise. I didn't care for the tomato sauce the chile was smothered in (tasted canned... the broth used to make rice also tasted canned) beans were good. The chips and salsa were not very good. Salsa didn't seem home made and chips were not fresh. It would be nice if they made their own chips and salsa. The actual salsa for every thing else was good (they have a red and a green) coleslaw in squirt bottles .. The aguas Fresca looked like it had been sitting out for some time. Ice had melted already. We also ordered the chilaquiles divorciados and that was real good also. I would recommend take out to avoid the traffic and parking situation.

Traveling always makes it fun to find new places. I found this restaurant in the middle of LA downtown. Its very much the authentic mexican food. The services is fantastic and the place is super clean. Not to mention the food super tasty and well portioned.

    lol a joke

Ordered chili rellenos and they gave me jalapeño poppers these peppers were the size of a jalapeno it barely had cheese and more of the egg if they know these peppers are not proper to sell at $18 then they need to get a better provider . Not is it over price but the quality and serving is so disappointing.tried giving this restaurant another chance but so disappointed again never will I go back please save your money and go else where for better quality.

Asada jalapeño taco (I added red and green salsa) one of my favorite items on their menu.

I really enjoy having leaving the office to have a nice lunch while walking around downtown Los Angeles. The staff has always been friendly, the restaurant is clean and spacious. I would recommend this place if you're in town and want a comfortable place to stop and have some lunch. The food is delicious as well.

I ordered chile relleno plate , $16..... they didnt give me my "free" soda that came w my meal

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. I browsed the menu and had a really hard time deciding, but ended up on the cauliflower rajas taco, the crispy shrimp taco & the vegan Korean BBQ taco. The waiter recommended the crispy shrimp taco, but I actually enjoyed the vegetarian tacos more. I love cauliflower and poblano so that taco was a great starter. So much flavor and a variety of textures. The tortillas were super flavorful too. The potato taquitos came next and I am actually obsessed. The outside was perfectly crispy, the interior was soft, flavorful & cheesy. The sauce complimented it perfectly. I can not recommend them enough. The crispy shrimp taco was really good, but I also tried a crispy fish taco and would honestly get that over the shrimp. I think there was mango or something in the coleslaw of the fish taco because it had a really nice fresh flavor to it. Last, I had the vegan Korean BBQ taco. The mushroom shreds & the flavor were just perfect. Again, as a pescatarian I have really never had Korean BBQ because it's so heavily meat focused. I truly loved this taco. Scallop aguachile - wowwww the scallops were so fresh, literally bursting is my mouth. They were sweet, tender, and perfectly paired with the tangy lime sauce. Taco de pulpo - ok so this is pretty much an assembled pulpo à la brasas, BUT I will say the full meal was more tender because it was an entire grilled piece of grilled vs one tentacle.
