Custard is awesome and wayyyyyyy better than Dairy Queen. Burgers aren't bad for lunch, and the cheese curds can be delicious if they are fresh. They have snack packs that come with a small drink and small fry that run around $6. These are great deals for lunch. Service is spotty here though. I either get super friendly, or someone who clearly hates their life. Occasionally takes longer than it should, but overall a fan of the custard so I keep coming back. read more

I thought I would try, hoping for a better fast food option. Signs all around the drive thru say food cooked to order, so with 4 cars already waiting I had high hopes. Ordered a butter burger with cheese with a side of cheese curds and ice tea. The cheese curds and ice tea were good but the meat on the burger was obviously cooked long before I ordered and was cold and tough. I ordered a Sundae here, they forgot a topping. The Sundae totaled to $9 and some change. I came in the very next day to order the same Sundae. Spoke with Noah, who said he was the lead manage. Requested that I get 1 tipping free since they left off one from the day before. He refused said I need a receipt, I didn't have one but offered to show the bank withdrawal but he still refused. Culver's is good. It's a chain from WI. I come here for the custard and cheese curds. When I was exiled to Wisconsin for 8 years, I'd go to Culvers for hot fudge sundaes when it was too far to drive to another one of the custard shops that has better custard/food. Their hot fudge is excellent. It's definitely too far to drive to WI now, so Culver's will do. The food is OK. The cheese curds are the best thing on the menu aside from the custard (I like them with Ranch dressing). Service has always been good. read more

Now it's been almost a year since the PV store opened and maybe seven months for this location. Culver's still gets busy during lunch and dinner, but things have slowed down in a big way. Maybe it was just the Portillo's effect? Maybe. Culver's is basically a good frozen custard place that does a nice business with burgers and fries. Yes, there are Rubens and Chicken sandwiches as well, but they're known for their custards, which are delicious. Update from my earlier post in June, 2023: I ended up calling Culver's Corporate in Wisconsin because how rudely and unprofessionally they mishandled a very easy fix on a rather pathetic $10 or $15 meal. I can't believe how dismissive this restaurant's managers horribly handled such an easy fix. Bottom line is that their corporate office was appalled by my mistreatment and how easily the local store could have rectified this minor issue. Corporate was apologetic and wants me to remain a customer. I'd watch yourself when dealing with these unethical store managers. Prior to the pandemic, Culver's was my favorite fast food place for years. Tonight, I had the worst burgers I have had in my life - that's no exaggeration. I ordered two burgers to go and did have an 8 minute drive home in 110 degree temp with the seat heater on. Don't want cold food when I eat. None of that worked. Buns we're still almost refrigerator cold. Lettuce and onion were refrigerator cold (not a bad thing). The slice of cheese was still refrigerator cold. The hamburger patty was a tad under room temperature, which was amazing since it was burned on both sides. The onion rings were good. Not only was the food crap, but the sanitation procedures are suspect. A female employee (no gloves on) touched and rubbed her face, then proceeded to pack orders of food for the drive through (no gloves on). Culver's gets one more chance before I abandon them forever. I normally do not mind Culver's, but this location was not my favorite. The staff seemed friendly and the restaurant was clean, but when my burger came out, it was a little cold and the top bun was dry. I don't like sending food back so I attempted eat it. But after a couple bites, I started to lose my appetite. I took my burger to the counter and explained that the bun was dry. Instead of making a new burger, he handed me a new bun to replace the dried out bun. No apology, no offer to make a fresh burger. This was my first time at a Culver's, and it kind of seems like the equivalent of a Dairy Queen with cement mixers instead of blizzards and burgers instead of hot dogs. Anyone else get this sense? Honestly, the ice cream menu seems to be lacking. You really just choose a basic ice cream flavor and add toppings, nothing special at all. I got vanilla ice cream with brownie bits which was tasty, but I just found the lack of selection odd. I have been coming to this location since it has opened, I had gone there on my way out of town there was a long line in the drive-through but I waited because I really had a taste for a Swiss mushroom burger. After they had me pull up to the side I waited quite a long time. What a horrible experiences with this establishment. If there were a no star that is what I would rate this establishment. I went through the drive thru and the girl who was taking orders was rude and disrespectful. When I got to the window I talked with one of the managers and he said "Well since we get a lot of people who are rude to us, this is the way we have to speak to customers now!!!" Blew my mind!!
