Don't go to Cummins to get your generator fixed as they quoted me over double what I ended up getting fixed at a RV dealer. Cummins said it would take 16 hours of labor and 246.00 in parts and they could not guarantee this would fix the Onan generator. They charged me 378.00 to tell me this. The RV dealer that fixed this did it in 5 hours of labor plus parts and did a 50 point check on our Mercedes chassis. This location is an absolute joke and the worst customer service ever. 1 counter guy at 10am with a line of 5 of us. Took over 45 minutes just for my turn at the counter and I was only 2 people back when I walked in. A guy behind me started getting vocal due to the wait and lack of customer service. Then a lady pops up from a cubicle and actually was very rude to us all that had wasted time waiting. The counter guy was in slow motion with everything he did. The ended up not even having the oil filter that was needed and fits 100's of applications. I had tried to call the day before to see if part was available and got put on hold and after 20 minutes couldn't wait. Service wasn't that great. Scheduled service tech when issue could have been resolved by phone. Issue was not in operation manual for engine that we could find. Customer Service person blames the place we bought the Backhoe Loader from even though the issue was the engine was overcome by hydraulics, so it wouldn't start. These are the steps we followed: I have checked everything that I could think of and everything that you've indicated might be or cause an issue. 1 - battery charge 2 - oil level and quality 3 - Coolant level 4 - Fuel level 5 - primed fuel system and veried that fuel was being delivered to the high pressure fuel rail 6 - opened the water drain valve on the fuel filter and the fuel tank to veriry that there was no water present in the fuel 7 - Checked for any J1939 error codes 8 - temperature has not dropped below 5 degrees celcius And the $700 step was: "A partially open hydraulic valve will load the engine enough that it will not be able to start. If the engine won't start, verify that all of the hydraulic valves are closed by cycling them to ensure that they are not partially open and then attempt to start the engine." read more

I am over two weeks now waiting for just an estimate to repair my RV engine. I have to keep calling in to the shop and I rarely get an answer. Am constantly told by Alvin, when I do reach him, that he will call the following day with a quote, yet he never follows through with a call. At this point I am not confident that I will ever get my RV back. This shop needs to learn how to communicate with their customers better. read more

April, 2024. Had my 1998 American Eagle motor home in for service of the engine and generator, as well as a couple of small repairs. Had a bit of a problem the first two days but the service supervisor and general manager were pretty quick to address my concerns. I ended up having a few electrical problems, as a result of a short done by a technician, but I am addressing those repairs myself and I'm sure they will treat me fairly when everything is corrected. Overall, good people to deal with! Plan to have a 5 star review the next time I'm there. Update May, 2024. Unfortunately I was incorrect about Cummins making good on the electrical items they damaged and I had to repair. Over $1,100. Cummins Care just went along with their denial of responsibility. After 24 years of going to Cummins for service on my motor home it looks like this particular Cummins will have to be avoided. Good thing there are other quality Cummins service centers. read more

Unbelievably GREAT experience today - - one I'll never forget. Had an issue with the generator in our RV, so took it in for some warranty work. Tarrin Came to the service area, inspected the generator, and got it right into the shop for a diagnosis. His team identified the problem, but advised that the part would take a few days to get here. My wife and I had a trip planned (that I had mentioned to him) - - knowing that, he took it upon himself to take the part off a new generator that they had in stock! He redefined the term "customer service!" I can't recall ever having a better experience - - although I hope I never have another generator issue, I know who to call if I do. This is an exceptional provider of diesel service. This was my first experience with a Cummins facility. I originally scheduled an oil change but took advantage of the up sell by Gerry to get the 21 point service. Had I stuck with the oil I would have missed the failed air filter. The filter failed from water intrusion and was allowing dust to hit the turbo. Had we not changed it, the engine would have been dusted and 18,000 worth of repairs would have been required. The culture of the entire facility is focused on the customer. I had the pleasure of a quick tour of the floor and was most impressed with the attention to detail, cleanliness and safety. During our stay Morgan of customer service made sure all of our needs were met and we were kept updated on parts that were shipped. I am now a convert to using these facilities. They are pricier but when we are thousand of miles from home it is good to know we can rely on Cummins for consistency. read more

I called over a week ago to get a price or a quote of how much time it would take to fix my diesel pusher motorhome a simple repair. Lady answered the phone in service and said she would call me back with a quote I've waited a week now no response. I called again today with another gentleman who wanted to argue with me all I wanted to simple service on my vehicle. After this conversation I will never bring anything that I own to this place. He wanted to argue with me and then ended up hanging up the phone on me. If they are going to hang up the phone on me they don't need my money. read more

This place really was an upset from what we expected from a Cummins service center. We brought our Rv in and were told it would be two hours to do a estimate... 8 hours of course which they charged us by the hour they brought us an estimate that would knock your socks off. They said they found two issues. One expensive, one less expensive. So we asked to get t a bid of each issue separately- which it took 6 asks and two days to get both bids and the bids went up $1300?! We decided to do the inexpensive one which ended up getting a higher bid?! We're told they would start work on it first thing (I.e., 6am) at 2:30pm I checked to see when it would be done...they said they had only been working on it for 2 hour and it would be another 2 hours to wrap up. At 5pm I went down and they said possibly another two and a half hours... I felt like we were not given enough information to make an informed decision and the estimates were way under ... but what do you do when they have your Rv taken apart?! read more

We live full time in our RV and travel the entire country, we have used Cummins to service or motor home in every part of the country with no issues until we had our annual service done at this location, when we made the appointment we told them that my MH has two fuel filters and also gave them the part numbers, on the day of the appointment I reminded the service writer "Gerry" that we wanted both fuel filters replaced! I guess I should have looked before we left? The next day I looked a found that they had only replaced one of them? The service writer did not do his job! read more

I cannot say enough about this company. We were in the middle of our travels and the fuel pump in our generator quit. After making a few phones calls to find out where we could get this taken care of right away, we were kindly directed to this location, and we are extremely happy went there. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, and she was able to get us in for an appointment the next day. We show up thinking that this is just an appointment to get an assessment and that surely parts would need to be ordered and we would have to return in a few days. Not the case, they had us in and out, completely fixed in just over 4 hours! Then, they told us that we could park in their parking lot (with electrical hookup) overnight for free. Some special mentions are Eric the mechanic, Terrin (?spelling) the main supervisor, and Gerry the service manager. When they were finished and paperwork needed to be signed, Terrin and Eric came up to us and explained everything in detail and gave us a few really great tips about our generator.
