Very, very friendly service and high quality coffees. I find them just a bit small for the price. The pastries are good (especially the bear claw!!!), but skip the bagels - they come with that refrigerated cream cheese and they don't toast them. read more

Love coming here. Conveniently located around the corner from Glen Park BART. Sam (the owner) and his family are the nicest people you'll ever meet. I remember stopping by here last year and the service wasn't the warmest shall I say, and the menu options were limited. But now since Sam and family has taken over the cafe, service is impeccable and the menu includes organic coffees, teas, and foods - all at reasonable prices! After moving to glen park several months ago I've been struggling to find a coffee shop with a good cappuccino. I figured it would be easy considering 5 places within one block have espresso bars,but not so. Finally though, I stopped by Cup which is barely around the corner and I've found the place I was looking for. It's got an awesome interior (though a bit modern for my tastes) and a nice view of the hills. But the key was the cappuccino, which was amazing. I got it to go and it's served in a proper 6 oz cup (or is it 8? whatever, a small cup) so it can't get overloaded with milk. The foam was just wet enough and the coffee didn't have the typical burnt taste that is too common. Plus some nice foam art. Great coffee. read more

Good customer service and pastries are always fresh. The location hurts them though. GP BART is right around the corner so they don't get as much foot traffic as they would if they had a storefront facing BART. However, this makes it more efficient for locals to grab a cup and go. read more

They've updated their menu! They have new iced teas like Mango ice tea and an herbal iced Tazo tea which is delicious (it has rose petals, orange peel, and other things). I really can't say enough about Cup. It honestly makes me tear up a little to think that I'm moving away from my favorite family owned business. The owner Sam is the kindest, most genuine business owner I've ever met. Everyone in the neighborhood can attest to it. Their coffee is great, his wife and daughter are great, and I've enjoyed walking down the hill almost every morning to grab my cup of coffee. This welcoming cafe is draped in orange for our Giants! And because it's a cheery color. The owner and other servers have warm smiles and coffee drinks are quickly made deliciously. The seating takes advantage of facing the sunny direction so you feel terrific the entire time. Be warned they don't stay open too late so no afternoon breaks here. Came here this morning in a great mood looking to support a local business and the hard workers here, I was disappointed that the women working here isn't the type to go above and beyond to take care of customers. Cup cafe is my favorite place in Glen Park. When I come here I am greeted with smiles by Sam the owner and his wife/ business partner. But best of all is the Italian Coffee! The inside is super cute, the coffee is tasty (and who could resist that actual giant cup outside, beckoning you to peek inside?)... but I really need to write the review because of the niceness of the person behind the counter. Tried this place for the first time, meeting friends. I asked if I could push some tables together and the guy said, "Of course! I want you to feel at home here!" with a broad, authentic smile. "Thank you for coming in!" Is he the owner or manager, I don't know, but he was just delightful. We stayed a long time and he came around to the tables with Ghiradelli chocolates... what?! I am more used to being either neutrally ignored or barely tolerated by the hipster-kid artists at many cafes who are slinging coffee drinks until their next big break. I stopped by here today and fell in love! The cappuccino is strong and flavorful. The almond croissant was fresh and yummy. The couple that works/owns the coffee house are gems! We were sitting and enjoying our coffee/food and they made us a complimentary fruit plate with whipped cream!
