Heard they were transitioning to a new name and new menu under new management. I've known this place since it was Eggettes, to Rockit Swirl, and now to Cuppa. I've only tried their Classic Milk Tea 100% sweet with no boba. To me, it's reminiscent of a HK milk tea - not too sweet but perfect for me. It's definitely my go-to drink for now, but I'll be more adventurous in the future and try their other drinks! Also tried their spicy crab fries! Personally I think it's good. It is imitation crab meat, but it works well with the sauce they use. The fries were only soggy because of time and how the sauce was layered over them. No complaints. So far, waiting time has been short. There were days I visited and the wait was a bit longer due to usual after school rush. Again, reasonable. The only thing that I wished was different is the price, but that's what you get when you go to a place in Glen Park and other nicer neighborhoods! Parking is convenient. I like the place. The staff is very kind and they cater well to those who don't take dairy. They have a nondairy creamer option for their milk teas. They also have an almond milk version of their fro-yo. I don't see many places that do that and appreciate it. Most places will just have sorbet instead. They also have snacks here like spam musubi. I would come back. Although next time, I might get zero sweetness because the 25% was still pretty sweet for my regular milk tea with lychee jelly. read more

Mango Green Milk Tea had some hints of Jasmine Tea in it, not sure if it was mistakenly put in my drink or if it was something in the mango but I wasn't a fan of the drink. My girlfriend, Pauline Estiva (who still needs that elite nod ahem ahem) got the Strawberry Matcha which was really good but she mentioned it was a little too Matcha-y if that makes sense so drinks can be inconsistent here. Cuppa gets five stars from me for one reason only --- I ordered a Mango Colada smoothie here after spending a good hour walking around Glen Park/Diamond Heights and I was super parched and a smoothie just sounded really good. Anyway everything was pretty standard - it was a Saturday afternoon around 2pm, wasn't super packed inside, no line, but a steady stream of people coming in and getting drinks. Placed my order and waited for about 5-10 minutes for them to make it. At this point I was maybe expecting to give them a 3 star, maybe a 4 if the drink blew me away. The drink itself turned out pretty okay - I'd maybe give it a 3.5. They say that they use fresh fruits and everything and the smoothie tasted pretty fresh, but I personally wasn't a fan of the flavor haha - I think the coconut water "watered" the flavor down too much for my personal taste - so I wouldn't get it again. However, the reason that Cuppa gets a five star from me is that when I picked up my smoothie, there was a separate smaller cup that they gave me filled with the rest of the smoothie batch that didn't fit in the main smoothie cup. (!!!) Like what. This is the FIRST time ANY place has done this, and I've always just wondered what happens to the rest of your smoothie when you see them have extra in the blender at Jamba Juice and stuff. I hope to come back and see if this happens again and not that it was just a fluke, because if so, that's like legendary for me. Everyyyy smoothie place should be doing this. I needed my boba fix and this place did the trick! I ordered the Oolong Milk Tea with boba and 125% sweetness! Now I know 125% sounds like a lot, but the cashier told me that their tea isn't very sweet so if I wanted it sweet to get the highest percent and he was RIGHT! My oolong milk tea was just the right amount of sweet! There is a claw machine and board games for children to play, and a really fun mural on the walls. Had a very bad experience at Cuppa. We went there for frozen yogurt and boba tea. The frozen yogurt was mediocre at best. Cuppa also showed a promotion on Yelp for "1 free Boba," but they did not give one free boba tea and instead said it was only for the boba topping. This was not clear from their promotion. UPDATE: Cuppa has now changed the wording of their promotion to "1 Free Boba Topping" instead of "1 Free Boba" which makes it a little more clear. read more

Came to this boba shop and ordered my usually jasmine milk tea with boba at half sugar. At most places they add too much sugar so I ask for half sweet; however this place is the opposite so the tea was a bit tasteless without the sugar. I'd come back again to try the tea at full sweetness and would recommend that as well right now. We also ordered the crab musubi. The food I have to say is on point here. There's tons of meat inside the musubi and a good amount of seasoning as well. The musubi was exploding with crab as I bite into it. TLDR: food is good here, drinks are alright :) read more

Grew up in Glen Park and my grandparents still live there. This location has changed a few times. Every time it changes it, the prices go up. Decent boba, definitely had better, they give you so little boba and charge so much. You also never know when the boba is going to taste good. Sometimes it's yummy and sweet like honey and other times it tastes chemically where I end up not eating the boba. read more

Wow. Worst. Experience. Ever. First this place is expensive for what it is, I mean with a few toppings your drink can come out to be $6-7. Then they mess up my order. I mean, how do you mess up low quality pre-mixed milk tea? There's also a minimum credit charge. You're better off going to a Quickly's or something, because this place is not worth your time. Oh and on top of that, terrible customer service, and not accomodating unless you pay extra for standard service such as making your tea cold. Making your teas 8 hours ago is not "freshly brewed". Your customers can see the containers of your milk teas. i was meeting up with my gf for an afternoon of catching up over coffee, but our favourite cafe was packed, with no empty seats in sight, so we ended up coming here instead...it turned out to be a good choice since there were many open seats and lots of options to snack on! i was intrigued by their almond milk, non-dairy froyo, so i asked for some sample cups and tried it....it was really yummy, smooth and creamy, and could definitely taste the almond! i also sampled a few other flavours (regular milk froyo) which were pretty good. in the end, i got a cup of almond milk froyo + cookies 'n cream. it was a bit pricey, at over $.60/ounce, but it was cold, smooth, and creamy! my gf got a matcha green tea bubble tea and finished it off pretty quickly...i guess she liked it! restrooms in the rear are for customers only, and you need a code, so after making your purchase, you can ask the friendly cashier for the code. wifi is also free, the network & password are posted on the side of the cashier. both cashiers/staff members were very friendly and helpful, so two thumbs up for that! we sat for at least 2 hours, just gabbing away and enjoying this nice little cafe. great location in glen park, just across the street from glen park bart station and near 280/monterey blvd. read more

I went here for the first time with my cousins late at night. We decided to get milk tea and this store pop up on yelp. It has a good review so we decided to try it. It was around 9 pm so it was easy to find parking and there was no people around (it was late like i mentioned) the place. I love matcha in general so I ordered a matcha milk tea, my cousins ordered a coconut island, orea smoothie, avocado slush, and jazmine milk tea. Everything was actually good its just some of the drinks im actually not a fan of. For instance, the coconut island reminds me of air freshner(just for my taste no offense) and the matcha for me was bitter but other than that, it was good. My cousins and I stayed until they close. This place is such an upgrade from what it used to be! The decor, ambiance and overall aesthetics is exponentially better! They offer snacks, self-serve frozen yogurt with a variety of toppings, standard and creative boba drink options, board games (that aren't grimy), and a plush claw machine and those little coin machines that gives you random little toys--I could spend a whole afternoon here! What really stuck out was the owner, Sophie. She was at the cash register and greeted me and a few other girls with a friendly hello and started telling us about all the cool drink and yogurt options (they offer a non-dairy almond option!) I admit the frozen yogurt was a little pricey for my liking, but the flavor, variety of options, and freshness of the toppings more than made up for it! I got my typical tart yogurt flavor and a few toppings and went to the cash register. Sophie was explaining to my friends some of the boba drink options and I caved. (Yes, yes, I got frozen yogurt AND a drink--the diet can start tomorrow...or next month heh) I got the iced matcha milk tea and was NOT disappointed. The matcha was stronger than most other places, something I did not mind at all. The drink wasn't too sweet, and the boba was the perfect amount of sweet and chewy (not overly soft though unlike tPumps'! ) My friends ordered the spam musubi (a steal in my opinion), the coconut island milk tea (as a creature of habit I was surprised with this one! I didn't think I'd like it, but I did! Refreshing and sweet, without being overwhelmed by the coconut flavoring and the lumpia (these were SO. GOOD. They were hot, crispy, and shareable!) We ordered four drinks. The milk teas tasted more watery than anything. We asked to add more taro to the taro and strawberry to the strawberry green milk tea but they stated that it was a set recipe and they were unable to do so. I've never really had that issue before going to other locations. I would recommend their recipe to be adjusted or to accommodate their customers. The smoothies were okay. I wouldn't recommend getting any of their milk teas unless you prefer drinking watered down drinks instead. read more

I have no complaints with Cuppa so far. Their tea drinks are great, their boba is made to perfection and their fries are good and crispy! I just wish they also served garlic fries... This spot is very spacious and has a restroom. It's also a froyo spot. I notice that a lot of kids come in for the froyo. Lots of parents with kids. Certainly a different demographic compared to other boba spots. It was never packed the days I went, but they have a constant stream of customers, young and old. Pretty interesting boba place near the Glen Park Bart station. This boba place is bigger than most in the city. There's a couple of arcade games to the left of the cashier and the line. The place looked very clean and seems to have opened recently. The menus were projected very clean and were legible. There is metered parking surrounding this place so I suggest finding parking in the residential areas. I decided to get one of their green healthy smoothies and it was great. It wasn't too thick or watery. For the most part, it tasted like a less sweetened version of Naked Juice's Green machine. I would recommended it if you don't want to get any of their teas or other smoothies. The drink was made in a timely fashion. The people working there were nice and courteous. They have a pretty extensive menu here, ranging from ice cream to froyo and spam musubis. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a snack and a drink! read more

I've been inside their shop while waiting for the 52 bus. I was annoyed they didn't accept CC and that their wi-fi doesn't work. However, considering it's really managed by kids for kids, I can see how the experience can be different from a usual adult managed shop. Aside from that, I've enjoyed their different nutritious drinks and their fast happy service. I have to say after ordering from other boba shops online, Cuppa does NOT water down their drinks. They are good sized NON-DILUTED tea/fruit/coffee drinks which taste like fully formed drinks, not over diluted watery tasting drinks like you find in other places. These days, i usually order their iced tea/smoothie drinks via delivery services like grubhub. They're fast and follow instructions exactly if you want less or more sugar in your drinks. I usually tip the driver $5 cash(I usually tip like this for food delivery to make sure the deliverer gets their tip and getd it right away rather than relying on the food delivery service to give them their tip months later or not at all). I've never had a problem ordering from them. read more

Cuppa replaced and revamped the old Rock-it Swirl! Their menu has changed but it still seems similar - they still have a fro-yo area, boba drinks, and snacks. I like their new selection of drinks and how they have a lot of non-dairy options for those of us that are lactose intolerant! I believe they have a non-dairy creamer and soy milk options for the drinks. They also have some almond milk-based fro-yo which is also dairy-free! I got the passion fruit green tea with half sweetness, which is my go-to option for fruit tea at all boba places. However, when I tasted the drink, it tasted like half water instead of half sweetness! There wasn't really a passion fruit nor green tea taste, it was just really watery. Such a disappointment. I tried my boyfriend's dark oolong tea with sea salt creama, regular (100%) sweetness. It was sooo good. The tea was aromatic and the creama topping added the perfect creaminess. The 100% sweetness was actually not too sweet. Upon reading other yelpers' reviews, most are saying the drinks are perfect at 100% sweetness. I'll definitely be back to try more of their drinks (at 100% sweetness next time)! read more
