Guys I think this might be my new favorite Malaysian spot. It's so hard finding Malaysian food around me that actually has flavor, but this one really delivered. Prices are pretty affordable too and the portions are solid. Got the beef satay and it was super tender and really flavorful. The roti canai was nice and flaky and the curry was really good. The Penang kueh teow (stir fried noodles) had that smoky flavor that just hit perfectly. The chicken and shrimp taro nest was also really good. If you like taro you'll definitely like this. Lastly for dessert I got their ABC ice, coffee flavor shaved ice with corn, red beans and palm seeds. I know corn in dessert sounds a little weird but give it a try you might actually like it. 10/10 will come back read more

Great local place to eat at! You're getting authentic flavors with a modern twist. Their price point is also very good and affordable as well and their portions are definitely WAY MORE than other spots so you'll definitely feel full leaving. I went inside Curry House to get lunch today. I got myself a curry chicken on rice bowl for $11.50 and a roti canai appetizer for $5.50. Wait time was a couple of minutes and luckily there was a long green bench to sit and wait for my order to be ready. Once I opened the curry chicken on rice bowl, I saw that the rice was very soggy and wet. Did not really like the texture. Wish it was not soggy or sticky. You can choose chicken with or without bones and I got it without. The chicken was very soggy too and the curry flavor was not strong enough. Wish it was stronger with more potatoes. There was a lot of curry sauce to drench the rice in. With the roti canai, the Indian pancake was very crispy and fried. The sauce was very good and I can taste the spiced flavor. Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday. Plenty of seating and able to accommodate us. The food was really tasty and authentic. My friend raved about this place for a while and it lived up to the hype! The owners also gave use a dessert on the house that was made with their own adjustments and it was amazing! It was my first time trying Curry House after a friend recommended it, so I decided to order takeout. I went with the Kapitan Noodle (Malaysian), a pan-fried udon dish tossed in dark soy sauce with pork, chicken, squid, and shrimp. It looked amazing and smelled even better. Service was fast and friendly but, because we were practically the only table of diners there the entire time, the servers were staring at us while we were eating, which I did not appreciate. We ordered: Spring rolls- Ordered this off of their dim sum menu. Tasted standard and came with a tasty sweet and sour sauce. They came out hot and crispy. Satay tofu- Liked how the tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Served with tons of crunchy bean sprouts and a fairly mild satay sauce. Char kway teow- Loved this dish! The noodles were perfectly pan fried with a smoky flavor and the addition of seafood and Chinese sausage worked perfectly. Curry beef stew over rice- Beef was very tender and curry was flavorful but not too spicy. Loved the fried potatoes as well! Overall, the food here was good and the prices are reasonable as well, given the portion size. Some things to improve on: 1) Some classic Malaysian dishes like rendang and laksa are noticeably missing. Consider adding these to the menu? 2) Recommend that the servers at least pretend to be busy instead of staring at diners during times of low foot traffic. read more

We recently ordered delivery from Curry House via UberEats and was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of food. My go-to Malaysian order is the curry mee with young tofu. Curry House's version was very good, with a flavorful but not terribly spicy broth. I liked the generous amount of stuffed eggplant and stuffed peppers, as well as the fried tofu. However, the noodles were disappointing, lacking the QQ chewiness and springiness that I prefer from Nyonya. The Malaysian oyster omelet was surprisingly good. A huge fan of the Taiwanese version, I was delighted to find this tem on the Curry House menu. Oily? Yes. Satisfying? Absolutely. This came with a good amount of oysters enveloped in a fluffy, chewy omelette. My kids loved the Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken meat was very tender. Portions were moderate. The rice was quite flavorful, but not the best I've ever had. In addition, we ordered a fried fish and tomato over rice dish for our kids, who cannot handle heat. The sauce was delicious, but for us adults, the mildness was a bit boring. This came with an abundant amount of rice alongside a moderate amount of fish fillet chunks. A table for 2 last Sunday. Me and my wife had an early lunch right before church service. I would rank this higher than most Malaysian restaurants within the vicinity. I ordered Nasi Lemak and wifey ordered Curry Noodle with Young Tau Foo. Excellent, excellent nasi lemak, rice is succulent and fragrant. Fried anchovies are spot on. Crunchy and savory, just how it supposed to be. Most places would serve the anchovies stale and hard to chew but not theirs. Definitely a must order again for me, generous portion, could be split into 2 people if you are not too hungry. Wifey enjoyed her stuffed eggplant Tau Foo, she said the eggplant is soft and sweet. Really good spot and glad we came here. On a Sunday, there was a lot of space available though the restaurant was still busy. Food came out Asian style - as in it comes out once it's ready, and the apps came out within 10 minutes of us placing the order. The noodle didn't take that much longer. Before we started eating, we were contemplating ordering more but we're glad we didn't! The portion sizes of the noodles and satay tofu is pretty big. I imagine most things on the menu are of good size as well. Flavors are on point, though I tried to get our noodles "less spicy" but they took out the spice entirely. When the place is packed on a weekday afternoon, in a neighborhood filled with amazing eats, you know it's probably pretty good. It's safe to judge a Malaysian restaurant by their Nasi Lemak, so I knew I was going to order that when I solo dined here recently. They kept it traditional, complete with crispy anchovies, hard boiled egg, sambal and peanuts. I paired it with a satay chicken app. The portions and the crowd were harbingers of good things to come. The chicken satay came with 4 generous skewers of dark meat, with that signature sweet marinade and peanut sauce over it. I found both chicken satay and nasi lemak serviceable but not so memorable. I think it's about the quality of the ingredients. As a solo diner, I also found the portions, which were mostly family sized, made it difficult to try more of their menu. The flavors were solid and the kitchen was pretty efficient however. I like WokWok across the way for some of my other favorite Malaysian dishes. read more

Huge fan of their curry beef stew, especially on cold winter days, a large order lasts me a full week of meals and I also sometimes add veggies/potatoes to expand the curry to make it last longer. I've been back to this restaurant too many times to not right an updated review. As per before, the best thing here is the Nasi Lemak which is both a massive portion for the price and is also a very flavorful excellent take on it. The rice could be a little bit better flavored but otherwise no complaints. The Satay here are excellent also with a particularly good beef one but the chicken is also great. Also, they have an excellent take on char kway teow listed as Penang Kueh Teow done the traditional way though I of course order it without squid and there's plenty of meat in there regardless of that including a whole lot of lap cheong/Chinese sausage and shrimp with a good amount of wok hei. The Silver Pin Noodles are also pretty good as is the roti canai which comes with one piece which is pretty common. Other dishes I've had have included the decent Pan Fried Rice Cakes, the very tasty Malaysian Style Spare Ribs, the ok Bird's Nest/Oyster Omelette, and the pretty good Eggplant Okra Petai Bean & String Bean with Belacan Sauce and Sambal Beef. As I've mentioned prior and other people mention, the weakest thing here is ironically the actual curry and if they named themselves Noodle House, I think it would be more appropriate for what you actually should order here. I love this place and I wish I didn't as much as it is taking me away from the other Malaysian spot I like Rasa which unfortunately is a lot pricier by comparison but has better service. I ate here several times with my colleagues. Although it was always busy, we never had to wait for a table. We did sometimes have to wait for our server to take our order or to check on us. The first time I ate there I had the Stir-Fried Jumbo Prawn in House Special Sauce which was a beautifully presented plate which was difficult to maneuver with chopsticks. I had difficulty getting to the meat of the prawns and only ate 2 of them, and gave the rest to my co-worker. We shared the Nasi Lemak Rice (a traditional Malaysian dish with rice and a serving of sambal, anchovies, peanuts, and boiled egg). This was my first time trying it and I enjoyed it. The portions of the dishes are not meant for one person. This surprised me the second time I went because I ordered a small Seafood Tom Yam Rice Noodle Soup and got a huge bowl which was enough to be a meal on its own. The soup was excellent and filling. I also ordered Honey Pork Chop over Rice. This was another new dish for me that I found to be really delicious. The third time I ate there, I had Malaysian Chow Fun Beef (fresh flat rice noodles stir-fried with beef, bean sprouts, and green onion, and tossed well with a flavorful seasoning sauce). I am not usually a fan of noodle dishes. However, I really liked this one. The restaurant ambiance is more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. It feels sterile and utilitarian. read more

First impression, there were multiple families dining there and the tables are spaced out comfortably enough, which was welcoming. Although we were hungry, we decided to first order two appetizers and two noodle dishes to be on the safe side. It's been more than a year since our trip to Southeast Asia, so we had to order some satay skewers. We opted for the beef satay, although lacking some smokiness from being cooked on charcoal, was quite flavorful and moist. We also ordered the omelette with oysters, which was large and great for sharing. We had to try the curry noodle soups and we chose the one with beef brisket. Although the beef brisket was nice and tender, I thought the curry soup base could use a little more complexity in taste. My favorite dish was easily the silver pin noodles with shrimp, the noodles were nice and chewy and the portion was generous. My husband and I haven't had Malaysian food in a LONG time. Our fave Malaysian restaurant in Vegas closed. Anyways, we were in town for a long weekend and my husband's friend recommended this place. Service was great as they were very attentive while we were there. We also received a complimentary desert by (not sure if she was owner) and she was so friendly. The restaurant was bigger than it looked from the outside and they had a good amount of seating. Everything on the menu looked good. We ordered Roti, Satay beef & chicken, curry, Haianese Chicken and wonton noodle soup. All 4 of us almost left nothing on the table lol. We did have a couple of satay left but we did damage on the food lol. It was both our son's first time eating Malaysian and we are so glad they enjoyed it. We ordered a few dishes to share: - roti canai: yum.  the roti was very tasty, nicely crispy and fluffy. The curry sauce was a bit too salty, although still it paired well with the roti. Would recommend. - satay chicken: the satay sauce admittedly looked a little unappetising when served, but thankfully appearances can be deceiving sometimes. The chicken was so delicious - very tender and juicy, well-cooked with just the right amount of char - and the satay sauce was fantastic. I love the peanut flavour coming through as well. - beef chow fun: not bad, although nothing too special. The noodles were pretty average - not too chewy, not too hard - and overall it was about as one would expect a plate of chow fun to taste like. The beef slices were good, very savoury and flavourful. Very yummy overall, and other than the great food, the price point was excellent, and we even had a little bit leftover for our next meal as well! This cute little eatery is tuck away on Pell Street closer to Bowery in the heart of the nostalgic part of Chinatown from my childhood. The staff is friendly, one gave me trendy, nosy, auntie vibes, lol. Note: make sure your full party is either present or nearby (they get busy). The space itself is bigger than I thought, lots of tables, and the space is broad. I "thought" I was going with the beef silver pin noodles and got a whiff of the fried rice from another table.... needless to say, no more noods! I chose the chicken & shrimp variety, and it was absolutely delicious. I wish they had hot oil or chili crisp, but their homemade chili sauce was tasty. Curry House is more of a 3.5 but I leaned toward a 4 because mom liked it. :) We ordered the beef skewers, the curry beef over rice, spring rolls, chicken rice, and coconut rice: Favorite item: Beef skewers with peanut sauce. The skewers were fresh, tasty, not chewy or too fatty, it was a good cut of meat and tasted great. Also, the 5 skewers were for $12.95 so the price point was good too. Least favorite: The spring rolls were just so soft and you couldn't really make out the filling because it was also kinda mush. They weren't the worst but just weren't good. The curry beef with rice was about 90% rice and 10% curry beef. I liked the flavor of the curry beef, it was a lot of fat and the family said it was mostly fat, but I like fatty cuts so I didn't mind. There wasn't enough sauce either and really the ratio was just so off, it was difficult to really enjoy. The chicken rice was mom's favorite. It's delicate, light, and fluffy and about $5 for a quart, so if you aren't feeling well, it's the perfect food with some broth. The coconut rice was my mistake as I thought it was sweet coconut rice but it was savory, more salty than the chicken rice. Definitely tasty, it just wasn't the dessert I was looking for. Ordered the Malaysian Chow Fun, Combo #18 (Curry Combination on Rice) and Combo #19 (Homestyle Combination on Rice). All three were good and flavorful.
