Great, fast and easy place to get delicious Indian food! I was coming back from a doctor's appointment in Burbank and wanted to grab a quick dinner. Found this place on Yelp and it was on my way home. This place is in a small shopping center that has a nail salon and other food. Parking was fairly easy as it was a little before 6Pm. Got there but there was one other person in line ordering. When he was done, I ordered my three item combo with Chicken Tikka Masala, Channa Masala and Eggplant. Asked for an extra Garlic Naan in addition to the Naan that comes with the combo. Food was packed but had to wait for the Naan which they make fresh. Lady rang me up and was really friendly. A few other patrons came in - one had a phone order and the other ordered food to eat there. I got my food and took it home to eat. The chicken tikka masala was really good, as was the channa masalaa - both had a nice kick - slightly spicy but not overwhelming. The eggplant was good, but more inion than eggplant. An online delivery order could have been far better in a town with much competition. I understand running a business is difficult, but a restaurant should at least have some kind of care for menu items that define their name. An order of Chicken Curry was horrific along with an order of Chicken Tikka Masala. Although the chicken pieces were tender, both orders had a bitterness that could only come from reheating and stirring up the burnt layers from the bottom of the pot. I love this place. They have combo plates with 2-3 items and they come with rice and naan. The butter chicken is my favorite, but I also love the curry chicken, palak paneer, chickpea curry, korma, everything is great but the butter chicken is the star in my opinion. Indian food is synonymous with buffets and take out/away...but what if you combined the two? Curry Zone is the perfect mix of these two styles. This is a no frills restaurant. When you walk in, it's just a hot bar and a register where you order. There's tables inside and out, nothing fancy, just a place to eat. You're not here to enjoy the scenery or the decor, you're here to eat delicious food. I come here for lunch and the obvious thing to get are the combo plates. Basmati rice served with 1-3 of the many curries they serve and the 2 or 3 item combo comes with naan. For our vegetarian friends, there's the usual daal and paneer and for the carnivores, the chicken is excellent and for the adventurous, they have goat. What I love about this place is everything is right there, ready to serve, and you begin your experience eating with your eyes. Maybe you just want the usual tikka masala or maybe the aloo gobi calls out to you the next time or maybe you just get all of them. They fill the tray to its absolute max so you get a giant serving of rice and two full wells of curries. The 2 and 3 item combo is too much for one person so you'll either have plenty for dinner or enough to share with another person. I've never been here when it's super busy. Usually there's a person or two there, but I've never had to wait too long to get my food. The only wait is for the naan. Upon ordering, you can see the person in the back stick the dough to the tandoor while you choose your items. Some people might find this an inconvenience, but waiting a few minutes for fresh, warm bread is worth doing. Curry Zone is definitely a worthy addition to the blink and you'll miss it list. The guy at the front wasn't very friendly and I wouldn't say it was terrible because the price was good. The garlic naan was the worst I have ever had it was moist and thin like a pancake. Batter wasn't right. It's a hole in the wall kind of place. There's like 3 tables. It's kind of depressing. I'm not going back. I didn't get a good vibe. I would take it to go if you decide to try it. The parking lot is smalll. I live close by and have been looking for a new Indian spot. I'm still looking and I'll post more reviews here. I woke up today craving Chicken Curry and I saw a review of this place and Wanted to stop by and try it. I don't know anything about Indian cuisine other than I like their curry chicken, I am used to the Asian rice that are smaller and sticky, the Indian Basmati Rice is longer and are not sticky, I find it different and a new experience. The Chicken Curry is yummy and delish. They sell drinks here by the can/bottle, I wish they have a fountain drinks. It is a hot day and I could drink. They don't have A/C but they have fans, most of their customers take food to go. The people here are friendly and professional. So super yummy! If you love homemade curry stews over rice, this is a small but mighty fine place to eat. I've come here many times, and tried pretty much everything on the menu. As you walk in, you see a food case with several different stew pot of curried vegetables or meat. Very often you will be greeted by Sunny, and he will tell you all about the care and passion that goes into each curry. We were concerned about a bit of oil floating atop the steel, but this is nothing to worry about after Hall as it is heavenly spiced stuff! And it is easily removed with a bit of nan or a spoon NAAN NAN nana Nana Nana Nanan now that I have your attention, I just want to mention that this delicious bread is made FRESH Per order. Excellent Indian food, especially for a take out establishment. The people who run this place are super nice as well. We got the chicken korma, tikka masala, Butter chicken, and Channa masala. Everything was fantastic. We took it all to go and ate at a nearby park. You can either order a plate with 1, 2, or 3 items, or get a 16 oz portion for roughly $12. They also sell 32 oz portions. We got the 16 oz portions and it came with rice. We also got the garlic naan which was delicious. It is very fairly priced for the amount of food you get, cheaper than a sit-down establishment. Note that they do not sell any beef, which I think is in keeping with Hindu principles, but they do have a goat curry which we are planning on trying next time. Also, there are very few tables inside and the place was very warm, they did not seem to run the AC, so we did not want to eat there. It is in a strip mall so parking was very easy. read more
