So, we came here on Saturday, the evening of the torchlight parade. It was early and we just wanted a couple cocktails. Just before we got there, my sister-in-law fell on an uneven sidewalk on onto a metal grate. She had blood running down her leg from a torn up knee. So, as we got our table at the bar, we kindly asked the hostess if they had an alcohol wipe and bandaid. She politely said she'd have someone over to us. We waited, ordered drinks, she went to the restroom to try to clean up. But still nobody came with even a bandaid. Finally, I asked the waiter. He said he would send his manager over. So finally the manager addresses our table and proceeded to tell us that they could not give out any medical supplies including bandages UNLESS she had been injured on their property otherwise it would be illegal. ILLEGAL??? By whom? Um, this was the most asinine thing I've ever heard. So, here they have a paying patron, unintentionally dripping blood on the floor...that seems up to health code. We cashed out and left. We ended up next door and told them we were there for drinks and asked if we could get a bandaid. They came back with 6 different options. Needless to say, we spent our money there. We had $300 in drinks and went back a week later and had a $1800 dinner. I guess good customer service isn't Cutters priority, because in no way is giving a patron illegal. read more

The experience was mediocre. The restaurant was empty upon arrival but for whatever odd reason we had to "wait". The service was pretty good. Unfortunately I had to wait for a while when I asked for certain things and on one item I asked for, it never came. After paying almost $300 bucks, the crab was dry to the taste and wasn't very filling. I honestly felt that this would be the experience upon arriving due to the fact that as I stated, there were no customers and the place was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon. This definitely could have been a coincidence but after having my own experience, I'm assuming that it's primarily because it wasn't all that great of an experience. A nearby favorite restaurant had changed their menu, and disappointedly, we left there, in search of something to fill the void. Cutter's was nearby, and having never been there, we browsed the menu, found several agreeable things on it, and checked in for a table. We were quoted a 30 minute wait, so we wandered over to Pike Place to shop for a bit, and were paged after only 20 minutes. Both the host and our server were outstanding, with each of them engaging us in a more casual and friendly manner than we're used to encountering. For example, our host made several jokes while walking us to our table, including pointing out where the restrooms, emergency doors and a janitor's closet were located, as we passed by. Our waitress, being rebuffed by our aloof teenage daughter with her face glued to her cellphone, joked about being "the same way at that age". We also overheard our server offer, to a couple sitting at a nearby table, a bowl of fruit for their infant son (gratis, BTW), as they were being seated. Those little gestures made a big impression on my wife and I. I wish I had caught their names, because they deserve praise and a raise! Cutter's interior feels upscale, but fortunately, with our eclectically-dressed teenager in tow, there was no dress code. After seating, we ordered a couple drinks, an appetizer, and our entrées. Our oven roasted crab & artichoke dip was the first to arrive, hot and bubbling, with a layer of melted parmesan coating it, and smelling amazing. The flavor was even better, spread over bruschetta, and it was gone all too quickly! I stayed away from seafood (as usual), ordering the Market Burger, which had a wonderful sweetness and tanginess to it, thanks to the fried peppers, pepper jelly, and Kewpie (Japanese) mayo, which in my opinion, should be ubiquitous throughout the restaurant industry: it's under-utilized, and just too good to pass up! My wife's crab stuffed prawns threw me for a loop, because their aroma was so enticing, I'd regretted not being adventurous enough abandon my Safe Space burger and start enjoying the bounty of the sea. My mistake was confirmed when I took a bite: buttery, lemony, delicious. Even the couscous and asparagus were preferable to my bog-standard french fries. What am I even doing with my life?! For fresh seafood, particularly crab, Cutter's is names as such for a reason: they're a cut above the competition, and that's saying a lot in seafood-saturated Seattle. The dip was sooo delicious and I'd go back just for that but the bread was horrible and too hard to chew. A great place that seems to get overlooked right next to Pile Place Market. We were seated by the window so we had a great view. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I came here on one of scorching hot, record-breaking days. I had called ahead and asked if the restaurant had AC and was assured they did. While they did, the AC system must have really been struggling that day and we were seated by the window which, while it offered a nice view, made for an unpleasantly hot dining experience. To top things off, our waitress was barely present and rarely checked on us throughout the meal, which made requesting simple things (like a water refill) difficult. I ordered the seafood jambalaya which was amazing. The rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly and there was a delicious assortment of seafood (shrimp, mussels, clams). It was also a fairly generous portion, so I stuffed myself full eating it. For the cost of dining here, I was really disappointed by our service. I understand there may be staffing issues, but there was never any apology for delays and when we tried to order a second bottle of wine, it took two attempts to flag the waitress down. For a restaurant of this (supposed) caliber, I just didn't think we should have to work so hard to essentially hand over money. While the food itself was delicious, the service (or should I say lack of service) was appalling for the cost of dinner. Visited today 4/19 about 20 minutes before the end of happy hour. When we walked in we stopped at the booth to inquire about happy hour and was greeting by a blonde male. He insisted that even though we were there within happy hour time, they could not seat anyone else at the bar (which was not full) due to having a new bartender. He said we could sit at the bar in about 25 minutes (again after happy hour was over of course) We asked, if we can be seated in the dining hall, can we order from the happy hour menu and was promptly told no. Cutters was the closest restaurant to my hotel on my landry's salect club app and I decided to give it a try since it looked like a pretty nice seafood restaurant. My server was a class act and was pretty attentive throughout my dinner - I could not have asked for a better server. The clams appetizer and fresh catch salmon were off the hook! My server told me that their fresh catch salmon is from Alaska so I had to order it and it did not disappoint! The oysters, not so much - I've had fresher for a similar price point. The rose was pretty decent and I was pleasantly surprised by their syrah! (not pictured here) It exceeded my expectations for a $10 glass of red. Unfortunately, the bartender on duty did not know how to make an old fashioned and mixed in way too much bitters - this kinda ruined my overall dining experience. Service was poor; our server Josh was rude (rolling his eyes, not repeating our order, and being short). When taking our order,there was a lot of attitude for simple request for example: croutons on the side. We asked what fresh oysters they had, he replied, "we have two." We asked for descriptions of the flavors, differences, and what he recommended and the replied again, "We have two." We started with the Ahi Stack for an appetizer followed by oysters on the half shell and finished with our main course which was Manny's Fish and Chips and Crab Stuffed Shrimp. Restaurant was empty with only 4-5 tables occupied. We went on a Wednesday night at 7pm and light rain so don't know I if that had something to do with the empty tables. Cutters Crabhouse? I didn't see any crab on their menu even tho I asked dinner menu as well.. We came to try this place (never been there) and best to do so its to try Happy Hour menu. Which was big disappointment. All items are deep fried and greasy. I felt grease in my throat after this meal. The only good thing was margaritas it was OK and salmon spread. Service was OK but place itself needs serious menu change and cooking improvement. Calamari was over fried, fries were bland and no taste, sliders were the same, very bland. Felt disappointed to pay $70 for this meal. You cant call yourself seafood restaurant with low quality diner type of food. Even happy hour menu should be decent otherwise people will not come back. So my rating is based on the service and sort of the food. It was a beautiful place and we had a great view but the service was horrible. We got there at 5:15 on a Thursday with reservations but they were extremely short staffed. We did have about 12 people but there were other large parties as well. It took about 3 hours to eat dinner and dessert. The food took forever to come out and was cold when we got it. They forgot some things as well. While waiting for dinner the manager asked when we would be done so they could use the table. We explained we are still waiting for our dessert to which he went back and got cause he wanted us to leave for the table. We were not the only ones that had to wait for their food. Yep it's me again! My friends and I discovered this spot near Pike Place Market and went on a whim. We were greeted with a "welcome home" when we walked in ( I'm not from Seattle) which made us all feel free extremely welcome! We were placed near the window so we were able to enjoy the majestic view while we ate. The restaurant had an Escape with Sea menu going which we all ordered from. The lobster bisque was The flavors melted in your mouth and meshed together beautifully. It was sad when my bowl came to an end. My entree were the seared scallops and those were tender and full of flavor! My friends had the grilled salmon and personally I liked theirs better than mine.
