This place has to be the worst run pharmacy in the Bay Area. They probably have 20+ employees working there but never more than 2 checkout lines opened at the same time. They are located right next to the Caltrain station, they should know that some people need a speedy checkout. Sometimes I don't even go in when I see the line... TL/DR: they lost my prescription and acted like jerks until I got to someone senior. This is about the pharmacy. We've been going there for a while to get prescriptions filled, and service has been adequate. Yesterday, I drop off a prescription for painkillers. "Pharmacist is on lunch", they say -- "2 hour wait". "Fine", I say. "Can I pick it up tomorrow?" "Yes, no problem." So, today, I show up and they say they can't find it. They lost my prescription. One of the pharmacists had the audacity to say that they'd watched yesterday's store video and that I hadn't been there. Subtext: "you're lying". To give him credit, he did actually apologize nicely to my wife when she showed up later. (But I'm getting ahead of myself.) Another staffer insisted that because I'd given the prescription to someone at the 'pickup' window -- not the 'dropoff' -- all this was my fault. I could only respond that I would have happily moved to a different line if I'd been told to, but that the employee had taken the prescription from me anyway. Since the store staff didn't seem to be able to find my prescription inside the hour or so I spent waiting, I asked for the name/number of the person responsible for this pharmacy at corporate HQ. I was given the 1-800 generic CVS number and no name. On asking for a specific name, I was given one that nobody at corporate seemed to recognize. They did, however, take my number and promise a call-back within 2 working days. I managed to negotiate that down to a two hour call-back window, on account of the aforementioned painkillers. (You know, pills you take that mask pain...) I got a call a little later from management. After a bit of back and forth and what sounded like a sincere apology for my trouble, they worked out a way the prescription could be filled and picked up today. This CVS is out of stock on items so often that it I am starting to avoid it altogether. The staff is often so standoffish to the point where I am made to feel like I'm bothering them when asking a question. During my most recent visit, while trying to ask where an item was located, the staff member did not even turn to look at me, and interrupted my question with an answer before I could even finish asking. I just walked away and I think I'm done coming here. read more

Sheesh, this place is FRUSTRATING. I went on my lunch hour to pick up a prescription that had already been filled and a few other items the doctor recommended. I ended up spending 45 minutes waiting for various staff and members of management. I finally had to leave because I needed to get back to work. I filed a complaint through the CVS website. I went to pick up a prescription and arrived 8min after they were closed , two customers still at counter and no one behind me. The pharmacist was very rude and would not even consider helping me. This was 1/28/2020 @ 2008. I am switching pharmacies. I am a nurse and work long hours to provide care for people in need, and go out of my way to be kind to everyone. CVS should have some standards to meet as this is an embarrassment. The guy ringing up merchandise is sitting on a chair. Not sure if he's handicapped but he's not friendly. This is for the pharmacy dept. If I can give zero stars I would I tried to fill a prescription three times. First time they said they didn't get the prescription from the doc. Fine. Next morning called doc. They will call it in again. Called mid day ask if they got the pres. Yup. Still nothing. Called the doc again. Doc says they sent it. Called back the pharmacy - finally got someone on the line and was told that they got the prescription but don't have the medication at that location. If I could give a negative star rating I most certainly would. This was my second trip into Sequoia Station CVS to purchase an item that CVS sent me an email coupon for which I sent it to my CVS card. Customer service is definitely not in the scope of this CVS store's vision. An assistant manager actually walked away from the checker and myself. CVS's store computer didn't have the coupon that was on my CVS card account (I offered my CVS app on my phone with proof ). What kind of business doesn't train employees ( and especially managers) how to manually adjust the price on an item? The pharmacy is bad. They never refill on time. Wait time is usually between 45-60 mins. If you are particular about a brand name drug, make sure you check what they give you. Many a times it would be a generic version. The pharmacy employees are very unhelpful and inexperienced. If you are on look out for a better pharmacy in the vicinity, you should check out Walgreens pharmacy in San Carlos (24hrs). The Store is usually well stocked and has a large selection of many items. read more

It is helpful to have the pharmacy near by my home. I am experiences a problem that the pharmacy is not able to establish connection with my old pharmacy to get my medication transferred in here. There is always a line and It seems that they need to hire more staff members. read more

Has gone way downhill. So frustrating! I have to call at least 4-5 times a month to make sure meds are being filled after refilling online. They seem to always be out of my meds so it takes about 3 days for them to stock it....meanwhile I'm out of crucial medication even though I filled it in ample time. I would give this store a zero if possible. I placed an order for in store pick up. After waiting hours, I decided to call the store. Nobody picks up and after multiple calls, some finally does. The lady said they have no record of my order then transferred me. I gave the "supposed" manager my order #, he went to look and said they only have one of my items, not everything, I didn't want to drive all the way there for an incomplete order since the items go together. I asked him to cancel the order since it's incomplete. He hung up on me and cancelled the out of stock items and refused to cancel the one in stock item. It's prepaid so I will call my credit crard company to dispute and lose out on my extra bucks, I know it's hard to hire but having employees like this is bad for business. I don't feel satisfied with this pharmacy, they make a lot of mistakes, my doctor order a medication for 12 day and they said that it was only for one day. They refuse to give me the rest so my doctor had to keep calling them out of her busy time to try to fix the problem, at the end they only gave me half of the medication. The store is filthy and not to mention restrooms are the worst. read more

If you enjoy having your prescriptions completely screwed up then being alternately ignored or treated rudely by the staff when you try to correct the problem then come here. There are 30 people working in this store and only two of them actually work. I dropped off two rolls of film and asked for one hour printing and cd's for each. I was given a claim ticket with the time that they would be ready and I arrived 30 minutes after that (just to be extra nice). When I arrived to pick them it took 15 minutes before anyone would help me and when I finally was helped they found my film still sitting on the counter undeveloped! I was told that the girl went to lunch and can develop it when she gets back. Really? With work ethic like that, she will work at the CVS photo department FOREVER. read more

I just left CVS, I don't write reviews, hell I didn't even have a Yelp account. I had to create a freaking account on this one. I understand that working for CVS might not be the best, I understand dealing with people can be a pain. However, I was treated like complete sh*t by an associate named Alaysia. I made two transactions. On the first one she was rude, I forgot to get another item so I went back.....I was already uncomfortable and afraid to go through with the second transaction. I went for it and proceeded to the second transaction. On the second transaction, there where people ahead of me and people behind me. Alaysia was courteous to the people in front of me, then there was a Hispanic man that was right before me and her attitude wasn't as nice as it was towards the people in front of him either (all non Hispanic). Then I was the next person. I proceeded to give her my care card via my phone so she can scan it. Then with attitude she asks for my number, however there was a problem with my number so I ask if she can scan my card showing her my phone card....with attitude she tells me that she can't scan the card. I look at my phone and my screen goes dark, then I click on my screen so she can scan and I ask her to please scan it and she hesitates. Finally she does. However, one of the items I was purchasing was incorrectly priced per the sign. So I suggest that she should inform management that the price sign should be updated to avoid customer confusion. She responds with attitude of course that she can't do anything about it. Which I understand, I wasn't expecting her to even though she could have had the manager override and do a price adjustment. She just didn't want to hear my feedback and then said she could refuse to check me out. I said ok, but she proceeded to check me out with the item I did keep. Just the whole experience was crappy, specially because there where also customers behind me witnessing the incident. Mind you I am also a person with a disability. I felt super embarrassed. I have been patronizing Longs now CVS for decades. I will no longer be going to CVS at all. I hated this experience. read more

I Want to give a shout out to the assistant manager Heather at the CVS store. My husband and I saw a homeless man at Safeway who was sitting in the sun and had severe sun damage to his forehead. We wanted to buy him a hat to protect him from the sun. We found a hat for him that had some spots on it, so we asked if we could get a discount explaning it was for a homeless man. Heather gave us a discount after we told her we were purchasing it for the man. Goes to show you there are still alot of good people in in this world. Called in to the pharmacy to obtain a prescription that I did not have my Rx number to. They stated I needed to go to where I originally purchased the meds so that pharmacy can fax the form for the refill to the Dr. When I called my original pharmacy in Half Moon Bay (where I've since moved from 2 years ago), they explained that this pharmacy (RWC-CVS) should have been able to fax the form to the Dr. for approval. The pharmacy at CVS at Sequoia station is lazy and does not want to do the work. Shame! The lady I spoke with in HMB was so much nicer. .so why did I move away from HMB? I never liked this place but it never kept me from going in when in desperate need. A couple of days ago I decided to go in and develop a 35mm color negative film, you know the film you used to have in your camera 10 years go. I still use that stuff but I am having an increasingly difficult time buying, and getting the film processed. CVS Pharmacy in Redwood City will take your film and process it within a few hours, but you must never give your film to them. Based on their workload I guess they could very easily do the job in 30 minutes, not 4 hours but that's besides the point: They will ruin your pictures! My prints were very bad. They had a terrible colors, very greenish, and pretty useless. I know this is a common problem in a photo shop especially at the beginning of the day and at times with low workload, but it is very quick and easy to fix - if you know how to work the machine... A minor mistake on my end was ordering the wrong size because I don't really visualize inches as well as centimeters, but it would be nice if they had a poster with the different sizes somewhere all photo stores got one of those. Icing on the cake was the service. Also terrible. The chick was acting like "I'm too busy to serve you, I wish I was someplace else" which made her very reluctant to answer any of my questions. I try to avoid this place due to the high prices, enormous amounts of crap "food", long lines and terrible service! Stay away! read more

I bought a large 1.75ml of Jagermeifter as I walked out I realized I wanted a different alcohol bottle instead. I would think they'll allow me to exchange to a different bottle, unfortunately two workers named Zeenate and Taylor said their manager wouldn't let them exchange alcohol and that it is against the law. I looked up the cvs return policy online and there were no policy that states returning or exchanging liquor is prohibited. Never attend this cvs they are giving out false policies, they are unfair and rude. I will never step foot in that store ever! read more

Besides CVS always having decently priced stuff and good deals, at least once a week there is an ambulance, fire truck, or cop car out front from either a crazy person having a meltdown, annoying kids harassing customers, or more recently a car went up and over the curb knocking over a cement trash can and damaging one of the front pillars. This 1 star, I wish I could make it 1/2 star if just for the pharmacy, in fact, I wish I could switch pharmacies and will probably try using my prescription card elsewhere even if it's less convenient. I was really unhappy with the pharmacy staff - there weren't enough of them, the wait in line was ridiculous and extremely slow! There were only 3-4 people ahead of me but the pace was very slow and to make it worse the one person I interacted told me I had to go back into another line because she kept alleging that I changed my address which was over 2 years ago. I tried to explain that no I had not recently and I used the right address when I signed up via work a year or two ago and the mail order pharmacy, etc. has it. She was a little snappy and said it's different and she could not help me, I had to go back into the other line (following another customer she also sent back into that line). Once that was done, I had to wait yet again for them to actually "pour out the medicine" for me. True, they did eventually page me but I had to stand in line again and I had to remind the same person I had another med. to get OTC, etc. As a person who was already sick, seeking medicine, she made it everything so unnecessarily worse and she didn't have to lecture me even as she clearly thought she was right, it didn't matter and I even told her that but she wouldn't let it go. No reason to constantly make her point - she should have let it go. I am very unhappy with the service. I'd rather go next door to Safeway Pharmacy at least I know they are more professional,...........\ Although I was sick, I estimate I was there for almost 1 hour due to all the waiting,......... Otherwise, this CVS is very basic, seems well-kept, and the cashiers up front are generally fine, but there is usually only one, rarely two, so there is also usually a wait but no where near as bad as the pharmacy read more

I have been coming here many years. I find the current staff professional and pleasant. On more than one occasion, the pharmacist has called me regarding prescriptions or issues including refills of important meds; The Pharmacist - not a clerk. I find the clerks quiet but efficient. On some days it does feel they are understaffed, but you shouldn't take it out on those working there. They seem to all be working diligently. When there is a line it moves at a reasonable pace. Is there a pharmacy that has no line? I think it depends on the time of day. I was just there at 4:30. There was no line. When you are ill, you are not at your best and waiting can seem like an eternity. It's frustrating if they don't have the meds you need, but they can be ordered usually by the next day in my experience. I agree that when CVS purchased Longs it was a bit of a nightmare. That was a long time ago. Sequoia Station does have some strange people hanging out perhaps due to the train? I get reasonable service here. I fill the majority of my meds through the mail, but the ones I don't, I get here. read more

The hours listed on this webpage are incorrect. The pharmacy is open Monday--Friday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. On Saturdays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sundays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. I submitted a correction request, but I have not seen an update. read more
