I grew up having access to home made Vietnamese food. And when my absolute all time favorite Vietnamese restaurant in HB closed their doors permanently, i was devastated. So, i went on the hunt for a new one. I recently found this Cyclo Noodles just down the street from my place. And today, i decided to give it a try. Cyclo Noodles is a casual and laid back, family owned Vietnamese and Cambodian restaurant in Long Beach, CA. It is situated at the traffic circle in the recently renovated shopping center adjacent to the Sprouts supermarket and other small restaurants. It is a self service model where you order first at the kiosk and take a seat. They have seating inside and outside. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. According to Google, it is their only location. it is known for its pho, noodle dishes, and other comfort foods. Their menu is varied with Vietnamese, Cambodian & Thai specialties including dishes such as pho (with beef, chicken, vegetable), vermicelli noodle dishes, and fresh spring rolls. Their Thai options include Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, and Chicken Curry Vermicelli. For Vegetarian options, they offer vegetarian pho, tofu spring rolls, and other plant-based options. They also serve Pineapple Fried Rice, Phnom Penh Noodle, and various salads. (See photos for full menu) Today, i placed my order on their website. It is simple and intuitive. The menu is easy to read and offers customization options with quick apple pay checkout. The service is quick and friendly and my food was ready faster than the time allowed. By the time i received my text message telling me that my food was ready, i was already in my vehicle and on my way home. I got an order of spring rolls with shrimp. You get 3 large rolls. I got an order of beef on a stick. You get 3 Sticks. And I got a Thai Iced tea. Overall Everything was tasty. The beef was somewhat tender and my only complaint is that half of my beef was marble (fat) and therefore inedible. Otherwise, that won't keep me from going back to explore some of the other items on the menu and i recommend trying Cyclo Noodles for your next Vietnamese food fix.

Always saw this place on Yelp but never had the urge to try it right away when I moved to Long Beach! Finally came here and so happy I did. It's a pretty decent pho spot and it's the closest pho business near me. Cyclo Noodles not only serves pho but also Cambodian and Thai Noodles. Inside there's a decent amount of seating too. As for the pho itself, it's a pretty big portion of noodles, broth and meats. I've gotten the pho rare steak and meatball. Both are good, you can go either way. I just feel like this spot doesn't really stand out compared to other pho in Southern California.

We first tried Cambodian cuisine in Long Beach after visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific. My hubby had been craving Cambodian food since we were in Long Beach, as there's a Cambodian town there. I saw Cyclo Noodles have good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It's located in a newly renovated plaza, and many parking spaces are available. The cuisine features Cambodian, Thai & Vietnamese food. The place wasn't fancy, but it was a casual dining establishment. We chose to order food from the kiosk machine, which was a self-service option. We received the utensils and water ourselves. We ordered the following: -Phnom Penh Noodle -Pad Thai -Spring rolls -Banh Song Noodle Salad Phnom Penh Noodle: $14.60 + $1.50 (egg noodles) - Hubby ordered the regular size (you can upgrade it to a large size for $3 extra). It includes rice noodles, but we chose egg noodles, so we paid an extra $1.50. You can also add more ingredients, such as meat, veggies, or noodles, by paying extra fees. The Phnom Penh Noodle had ground pork, sliced pork, fish ball, shrimp, squid, lightly sprinkled cilantro, and crushed fried garlic. It was flavorful and similar to Chiu-chow style noodles. Pad Thai $14.25 Stir-fried noodles with egg, tofu, bean sprouts, and green onions mixed with house sauce. We chose beef for our protein. (Chicken, beef, and tofu are the choices for no extra charges, except seafood) The beef quality was not that good, and they were chewy. Pad Thai flavor was on the savory side and not much of the sweetness. It was more like a Cambodian and Thai fusion Pad Thai to me. My daughters liked it, but hubby and I prefer more authentic Pad Thai. Spring rolls $8.25 This appetizer had 3 pieces of Spring rolls with Shrimp, chicken, vermicelli, basil, mint leaves, cilantro and lettuce wrapped in Rice sheet and dipped in savory peanut and sweet sauce. The Vietnamese spring rolls were okay. We've tasted better spring rolls at other places, though. Banh Song Noodle Salad $14.60 I ordered this Banh Song Noodle Salad, and it was cold Vermicelli noodles with fresh cucumber, bean sprouts, mint leaves, basil, lettuce, egg rolls, and a choice of chicken, shrimp, or Beef topped with our cyclo sauce. (I picked chicken for the protein) It was similar to Vietnamese bun for me. The portion was big. I liked this dish, but the chicken meat could be more tender. I liked the cyclo sauce and the coconut sauce. Overall, it was not bad, but I had higher expectations. It was a 3.5 stars to me (round up to 4 stars).

I got the pad thai and it was disappointing. Very dry and no flavor. Not even sure what I ate. Paid extra for meat and mixed seafood toppings and that was also disappointing. Meat was hard and chewy. Seafood was just one shrimp, half fish ball, and one imitation crab meat. Portion is big and that's about it. Hope the quality of other food is still the same. I also noted they increased the price on the beef skewers.

This was my first time trying this restaurant after being recommended by my friend and I decided to get it for take-out for my family. FOOD: I ordered the *phnom penh noodle* and it was not good. I paid an extra $1.50 to have my noodle soup with egg noodles with a 10% tip and it was not received and still got the rice noodles. The imitation crab was gross and the shrimp was tiny. The only thing I liked about the dish was the single fish ball. The portion of the toppings overall was low quality and little with two pieces each and the fish ball in halves. For *chicken curry vermicelli steak* noodle dish, it was watery and tasteless. The *beef and beef ball noodle dish* was overall good. They gave the egg noodles we paid extra for and flavorwise they were good but the noodles had gelled together into a gelatinous brick. After vigorously separating them, the noodles still had some sizeable clumps. This was somewhat surprising as other dry egg noodles we've had from different establishments never had this issue. On the plus side, the tripe was delicious, as were the other meats in the dish. The portion for each meat was also generous, which made the lackluster portions of the *phnom penh noodles* seem even stranger. The broth was also serviceable in terms of flavor, but not particularly memorable for its flavor. DRINKS: My friends got the *viet iced coffee* and the *mango shake smoothie* and they LOVED THEM. One of the good things on the menu. OVERALL: All in all, this so-called restaurant comes off as a gentrified and only to be made trendy for college students that want to be seen cool participating in Asian culture. Drive 15 minutes east to Westminster for real Viet food like Peach Garden Restaurant or My Vi Mi Gia Restaurant that will give you real portions.

Yeah, the food wasn't great. Nice enough place with friendly staff, but the food was mediocre to bad. The pho was just basic and a little bland and the egg rolls were really mushy inside and the wrapper was more like a tortilla than an egg roll. They really need to at least work on the basics. Only bumping to 2 stars because the staff was cool.

I have been eating at Cyclo Noodles for about 4 years now. Their pho is delicious, I have tried their other non pho dishes as well but I stick to the pho mainly. Their egg rolls are decent and spring rolls. I enjoy their pho's flavorful broth and Iove the amount of bean sprouts and jalapeños they give. Their service is always quick. Inside the restaurant is spacious and has an outdoor dining area as well. Their brisket and meatball pho bowls are definitely recommended.

If you are in the neighborhood this is a must stop for their fresh coconut shakes. The food is decent but not my favorite. But the fresh coconut shakes are delish. Refreshing and hydrating and not too sweet. It does take a bit of time though even with no other customers haha. It is also very affordable. It used to be $5 but now they've raised the price to $6. Still a great deal!

This place combines all my favorite southeast Asian foods into one location. The ordering kiosk makes it super easy to browse their whole selection of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai food offerings. I got the Phnom Penh noodle and Thai tea. I seated myself and placed my table number down. While I was in the restroom, my tea and food was delivered to my table - less than 3 minutes wait! The Phnom Penh noodle soup had the right taste and was hot. The portion of meat as well as the side garnishes was perfect for one person. The staff are meticulous at keeping the restaurant tidy and orderly. I also liked that they had water, napkins, and fish sauce at a counter for self-serve. The food was good and hot, service was fast, and I personally like that they have a hands-off approach and let customers enjoy their time inside without rush.

Decided to check this location out after finding my original location closed on Mondays. Cyclo noodles will do the job if you've been gone for the week and craving some noodle soup. They have tablets you can order off of and it's self seat after ordering. This is my first time have this type of soup, but it felt lacking. My favorite part about this meal was definitely the fried crueller. I love how it soaks in the soup and dissipates in your mouth. They have a large parking lot , shared with surrounding stores.

Great food! I had the cycle pho & it was just right. The broth was balanced, salt, depth...the portion was perfect. I'm usually not big on chili's but the server recommended it. She was very sweet & brought us a serving of chilli oil because "it smells nice." It was great! Not too spicy at all. I finished my bowl to the bottom & enjoyed every drop. It's a clean, simple inviting ambiance with ample parking. I'm definitely returning when I'm ever in the area.

Not as authentic as I had hoped. we ordered the Phnom Penh noodle soup and the curry noodle soup - both were subpar or below average. The fried bread was so heavy in dough and that is not the way it should be as you typically use it to dip into your soup. The only thing I did like was their beef sticks.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. When we walked in, there were two workers inside, completely ignoring us while glued to their phones and loudly chatting with each other. No greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. The restaurant itself was filthy. The table we chose hadn't been cleaned, and I watched as two other tables sat dirty long after customers had left. To make matters worse, new customers came in and sat at those same unclean tables! Not a single person offered us water. When we asked, they just pointed to the back and told us to get it ourselves. We were stunned. I honestly don't even know why we left a tip because there was zero service. It's all self-check-in, you order and pay at a kiosk, and they just drop the food at your table without a word. The pho was completely flavorless, the spring roll was massive but had barely any shrimp, and even though the pho bowl was large, it had almost no meat. We ended up taking it home just so we could fix the flavor ourselves. For the price, this place is a complete rip-off, terrible quality and absolutely zero service. Even as we were leaving, we said "hi," and they still ignored us. The staff was beyond rude, and the entire atmosphere was unwelcoming. Never coming back.

This is a small sit down place with self seating inside or out. You get a number after you order and they bring you your food. The food comes quick! Right after I order I usually get my food 5 minutes after. Another reason why I like to come eat here. After that you bus your own table, but it's not bad. You throw all the food and trash in the trash can, and they have a place for bowls, plates, and spoons on top of it. Easy. I usually get the pho with rare steak here. The menu is easy, prices are decent for the amount of pho you get. I ask for my pho gluten-free style (they just don't add soy sauce) so that's a huge plus for me! They give you a lot of noodles and a lot of meat! The broth is decent and has a light flavor. It doesn't taste too oily or fatty. I also tried their coconut shake here, it's delicious! Very sweet though. The people at the register are pleasant as far as I've experienced. The location for me is also very optimal. Close and quick enough to stop by for lunch during work and make it back in time without feeling rushed. read more

Service was quick. We ordered 3 mains, 1 appetizer, and 3 drinks. The best thing to get was the beef stick appetizer. The Phnom Penh noodles were pretty bland. The place was a little dirty. Even though the table looked clean, it was still sticky. Also, they put a cage looking thing over the rim of the trashcan, which made the area look pretty gross. I ordered the coconut drink that was popular on Yelp, but it tasted sort of weird. This would be a 1-star review, if it weren't for the beef stick appetizer. You should just order that for to-go. read more

This is a super cool Vietnamese restaurant by traffic circle. The Owner is always there. They're food is just amazing. Their pho and fried rice is just super delicious. I've been going to this restaurant for the past 8 years and the quality of food and service didn't change at all. read more

Not impressed by this pineapple "fried" rice. It taste like they use the precooked rice they have and mixed it together in a bowl with added ingredients. No wok or pan was used to make this FRIED rice. My rice is over cooked and luckily was able to open right away because the steam from the heat would've made the rice almost "Sticky" like . Lacks flavor, little to no egg, and canned pineapples. Wish I didn't pay for extra seafood . I will be letting this dish cool so I can refrigerate and make into FRIED RICE in a wok at home, the way fried rice is supposed to be made. read more

This has become my girlfriends favorite date night spot. In a wonderful little plaza on PCH in the quiet neighborhoods of central Long Beach. We both are avid cyclists and a themed noodles house for rendezvous was fantastic to find! Those with gluten free restrictions this a friendly place to you! All of the broth has no trace of flour, and the beef bowls are their #1 -- although I am a seafood man myself. Get on down here during a rainy afternoon or a nice nightime ride with your best gal to enjoy some fantastic noodles. read more

The food here is good- the chili crisp sauce they make (and sell by the jar!) is incredible. It is hot, crunchy, and has skme herb/flavour in it that I have not tasted in other chili oil. So good. read more

I was happy that Cyclo Noodles was open and that I got a chance to try their food. I ordered the chicken pad see ew. It was solid. The emphasis was definitely on the veggies and chicken and less so on the noodles. Overall if was pretty good but I found the chicken to be bland and kind of tough. If you get there close to closing, they only do takeout orders but otherwise you can sit at one of the few tables outside of the restaurant. read more

Food here is good! I do recommend the pho , it is quite tasty but I wish they have more noodles in the soup. Pineapple fried rice is good also. I haven't tried the other dishes yet. Price is decent here. Love the thai ice tea and coffee! Really yummy! Yes I will come back again :) read more

Use to eat here often after my most recent visit I will not Be back. The egg roll was probably the grossest shit I have ever eaten. It seemed to be filled with what appeared to be a space grade futuristic food product you will see in a post apocalyptic movie. read more

Average noodles restaurant. I had their pho which wasn't bad. They gave a lot of noodles (not enough meat) for $5.45. The egg rolls here aren't your average Vietnamese egg rolls (different taste and no meat). The service was ok. The cashier looked like she didn't want to be there but was still nice enough to take our order. Order, sit down with your number and they'll bring out your food. My pho and our egg rolls came out right now. My friend ordered a non-Thai version of the pad see ew which was toooo bland. They pad see eww also took a really long time for it to come out. Cyclo's ok. Maybe for a quick local fix but not anything to write home about. Everything's also affordable. read more

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for two years now and we can't say enough nice things about the food and friendly employees who work here. Everything on the menu is delicious, especially the pho, fried rice and meat egg rolls. We recommend this to anyone who loves this type of comfort food. Common weeknight story: I want pad Thai, and I want it now! Decided to try this spot since it's been on the radar for a while and it's closer than my go-to. Its a bit overpriced, in my opinion, given it's a counter-order place and the portion sort of reflects that. It's definitely not the best pad Thai I've ever had, but I was expecting that. What did impress me is the Thai tea for only $2.50, and it's brown! It's the first Thai tea I've had that doesn't have the artificial food coloring. It's probably the first tea I've had at that low of a price, too, other than on a Tuesday at Honeysuckle. I won't be rushing back here but I do like the convenience. Good food with good price. The best part of this place is that, they can substitute any of the broth to vege broth!! For no extra charge! I had their seafood pho with vege broth and it was delicious! Parking is not to worry. There's plenty of them in the lot. They close at 9pm. We arrived at 8:45pm and they are still taking order. And I think I heard that the last order is at 9pm? Which is great! And also, VERY BIG BOWL. But I finished them anyway :p read more

They offer shirataki noodles as a substitute for regular noodles! It's hard to find a noodle spot that offers low carb/no carb substitute for their dishes. So, I'm really happy they offer it and the food tastes great too read more

Food: not bad but not amazing either. I ordered the filet mignon lok lak (known as bo luc lac in Vietnamese, & literally translated as shaking beef) & their pad Thai noodles. The lok lak was the more flavorful dish between the two & the beef was served was pretty tender. It came with a little sauce cup half filled with lime + salt + pepper to dip the beef in which was great. The rice portion was a lot more than needed (for me personally since I'm pretty petite) but the beef to salad ratio as perfect. The pad Thai was more on the bland side of things, but it did satisfy my pad Thai craving. Service: cashier was pretty cordial & my food came out quite fast (less than 10min since I ordered it). Utensils are plastic & once you're done you take your plates over to a stand near the entrance to dump your trash before you leave. Atmosphere: a typical hole in the wall place if I've ever seen one. Music was at a moderate level. Most of the lighting is flooding in from the outside. There's a traditional Cyclo bike outside the entrance as per the name of the eatery takes its inspiration from. The table was kind of sticky to the touch so I was careful not to touch it more than I needed to, by other than that, pretty acceptable to eat at for a quick sit-down lunch. read more

I know good pho, anyone that knows me personally knows my history with Vietnamese cuisine. I've had the honor of working with some very incredible influential people including a chef competitor and winner from Top Chef Vietnam. The key to a 5 star pho is the broth. Here, it is so flavorful, it does not need any add-ons... but I am a creature of habit and add all the extra sauces and spices because I am so used to it. It takes hours to get a beautiful, rich, broth such as the one at Cyclo and I am so glad I don't have to go to Westminster or Vietnam for that matter, for some good pho! Cyclo noodles is a small modern restaurant catering to Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai cuisine. Unfortunately I've only ever had their pho and it's delicious. I imagine the other items on the menu are really great as well but I've never came around to trying anything else. I mostly only stop by when I'm sick, and having an autoimmune disease, I'm here frequently... at least once a month. Pho is simply a must for me during times of misery and weakness, it speeds up my recovery to well being and this cute little place really lifts my spirits! You order at the counter and get a number, take a table and await your food. At your table there is a set of typical sauces for pho (sriracha, hoisen sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt) and you are brought Basil, lime, and bean sprouts. There's an area where you can grab chili oil, vinegar, extra jalapeños, napkins, etc. plenty of options to spice up your food! I love the chili oil, especially when it's freshly made, nice and hot. Customer service is great, the staff does their job and brings your food out to your table super promptly. The place is kept really clean and organized, kudos to them for that. Also! There's a delicious Cambodian twin bread that goes great with pho or any soup/noodle dish! Ja-Kwai. It takes a little extra time to make, so I also order it first so it's shouted in and started ASAP. That's incredibly thoughtful of the cashiers! It's really filling so I skip breakfast if I know I'm going to Cyclo for lunch. Once you try it, you won't know how to eat pho without the company of such a delicious dipping side!!! The place is small but there's plenty of space and seating including a patio out front. You can't miss it, there's a cute vintage bicycle at the entrance. read more

I'm so happy I found this place. I'm Vietnamese and I've been looking for a place where I can get pho without the msg headache. It's been a bummer since I've gotten older and been more sensitive. I took my family here after going to the park on a cold day and I was just going to suck it up and assume to feel sluggish the rest of the day. I ate and waited... nothing happened. So I waited and still I didn't get the headache so I'm very happy to find this place. Service was friendly and the portions are big. Was craving pho and didn't want to drive through sketchy parts of LB so settled on this place. It was a good sign to see the place crowded on a Tues night, but the promise stopped as soon as I walked in. The prices were somewhat competitive. Ordered 2 noodle soups and a chicken lettuce wrap and a Gatorade and total was $28. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. That night, it seemed the place was understaffed. Dirty tables and the cashier taking orders both over the counter and over the phone. The pho was okay. Beef slices were lower quality, but they give you decent volume. Broth was nothing special. For 2 noodle soups, they only gave us one basket of bean sprouts and thai basil, so had to ask for another. The chicken lettuce wraps were the biggest disappointment. Pei Wei's are much better, and they're not even close to being authentic. The lettuce were small, romaine leaves that were hard to get any meat on. The chicken was cooked with too much rice sticks, and the rice sticks were soggy. They should leave the rice sticks on the side uncooked next to the chicken. Next time I will risk it and drive through the hood for better food. read more

I tend to bypass anything having to do with the pho experience but this place is by far the best I have had. The food was fantastic! I had the spring rolls, egg rolls, and a bowl of the pho. Not to mention the amazing coconut shake that is to die for. I live in Tustin and I will definitely be traveling back to Long Beach just to continue the delight of the GREAT customer service (something you don't really see too much these days anywhere else) and the delicious food of course. Cyclo has a unique style, I loved the little Cambodian bike outside of the restaurant to match the design and tone of the inside. The owners really did a wonderful job with making sure the clientele was happy and well taken care of. The prices are good and a comfortable atmosphere to just hangout, and eat good food. Cyclo Noodles is a hidden gem and the definition of a hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop shop in Long Beach. It's a casual, no-frills setup where you order at the counter, but they bring the food out to your table, which adds a nice touch. Their menu features a mix of Cambodian, Thai, and Vietnamese noodle dishes (including pho), so you get a good variety. The weather has been so cold, we really wanted to some comfort soup. Ordered #14 and #16 and they were AMAZING! They give you large portions of meat, noodles, broth and sides. Also we got sides of spring rolls, which were served with a chunky nut sauce and a sweet/sour sauce. The pho has lots of depth and hit the spot. If you aren't too hungry, it can probably go for two meals. The service was great and fast. Also the staff was very friendly. One of the best things you can do to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands frequently, especially before you eat. Doesn't make any sense that a place that allows outdoor dine in would refuse access to the restroom for that purpose, many other places that are open allowed use of the restroom. Waitress wasn't too friendly either. If you say thank you to someone they're supposed to say you're welcome. Also they don't provide any hand sanitizer at the register or tables. Seems like this place PROMOTES the spread of Covid 19. Yuck! read more

This place is the to go spot for all type of noodles. I've been here four times and tried the Pho and pad see ew. The broth is delicious and the pad see ew is my favorite. Need to tell all my friends and families to come here and try out all their food. Everything on the menu is all delicious. It's hard to make a decision. I probably would have to come here at least 30 times Becuz that's all the items on the menu haha. Oh the bread called JAWAI is delicious with the Pho broth. I had an awesome time at Cyclo Noodles! As soon as I walked in, the place smelled amazing with all those fresh herbs. The menu's got a bunch of Vietnamese dishes, but let me tell you, the noodles stole the spotlight. Their pho? Unreal! The broth was flavorful, and the beef was so tender. I always see this place driving past the circle so I thought I'd give it a try. I thought the noodles and bread (forget the name at the moment) were pretty tasty, however, nothing about the ingredients seemed to be really authentic. It was good, but in a home made ramen type of way, not like a sit don restaurant kinda way. With that said, 3 stars perfectly fits this place. Just a really REALLY good pho spot. No BS, no gimmicks, eatery style. This place gets busy at peak meal times, so bring lots of patience or avoid the peak hour. They don't try to win your business with decor or ambience. They just let their food do the talking, and they speak gospel. They also give VERY generous portions. Come hungry. CyClo Noodles was the perfect spot to grab lunch at. I ordered the Cyclo Noodles with Twin bread it was so filling that I almost gave up. However, I mustered energy from within and was able to finish the entire thing. The pho was fresh, broth was flavorful, and the meat was tender. This is a five star review based on my visit (01/19/23). I came here for lunch and they had a variety menu options for food and drink. I got the combo fried rices and two orders of egg rolls (meat) and a Thai Iced tea and Vietnamese coffee. It was an excellent meal and taste excellent. Loved my drinks too. Such a cool environment, and delicious food! I ordered the Beef Pho, which had an excellent broth and rare beef which all was flavorful and delicious. I absolutely love this place! I came here for the first time about three years ago and I always get the chicken pho with a boba drink, the green tea one is sooo yummy. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the employees are very nice. The pho is good whether it's a hot day and you're feeling good or if it's cold outside and you're a little under the weather. lots of parking. They have ample handicap parking and access to the storefronts is nearby. The inside of the restaurant is small but the seating can easily accommodate those with wheelchairs. It is usually quiet but can become louder during lunch and dinner time. The food was very enjoyable and we had lots of leftovers.
