I grew up having access to home made Vietnamese food. And when my absolute all time favorite Vietnamese restaurant in HB closed their doors permanently, i was devastated. So, i went on the hunt for a new one. I recently found this Cyclo Noodles just down the street from my place. And today, i decided to give it a try. Cyclo Noodles is a casual and laid back, family owned Vietnamese and Cambodian restaurant in Long Beach, CA. It is situated at the traffic circle in the recently renovated shopping center adjacent to the Sprouts supermarket and other small restaurants. It is a self service model where you order first at the kiosk and take a seat. They have seating inside and outside. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. According to Google, it is their only location. it is known for its pho, noodle dishes, and other comfort foods. Their menu is varied with Vietnamese, Cambodian & Thai specialties including dishes such as pho (with beef, chicken, vegetable), vermicelli noodle dishes, and fresh spring rolls. Their Thai options include Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, and Chicken Curry Vermicelli. For Vegetarian options, they offer vegetarian pho, tofu spring rolls, and other plant-based options. They also serve Pineapple Fried Rice, Phnom Penh Noodle, and various salads. (See photos for full menu) Today, i placed my order on their website. It is simple and intuitive. The menu is easy to read and offers customization options with quick apple pay checkout. The service is quick and friendly and my food was ready faster than the time allowed. By the time i received my text message telling me that my food was ready, i was already in my vehicle and on my way home. I got an order of spring rolls with shrimp. You get 3 large rolls. I got an order of beef on a stick. You get 3 Sticks. And I got a Thai Iced tea. Overall Everything was tasty. The beef was somewhat tender and my only complaint is that half of my beef was marble (fat) and therefore inedible. Otherwise, that won't keep me from going back to explore some of the other items on the menu and i recommend trying Cyclo Noodles for your next Vietnamese food fix.

Always saw this place on Yelp but never had the urge to try it right away when I moved to Long Beach! Finally came here and so happy I did. It's a pretty decent pho spot and it's the closest pho business near me. Cyclo Noodles not only serves pho but also Cambodian and Thai Noodles. Inside there's a decent amount of seating too. As for the pho itself, it's a pretty big portion of noodles, broth and meats. I've gotten the pho rare steak and meatball. Both are good, you can go either way. I just feel like this spot doesn't really stand out compared to other pho in Southern California.

We first tried Cambodian cuisine in Long Beach after visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific. My hubby had been craving Cambodian food since we were in Long Beach, as there's a Cambodian town there. I saw Cyclo Noodles have good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It's located in a newly renovated plaza, and many parking spaces are available. The cuisine features Cambodian, Thai & Vietnamese food. The place wasn't fancy, but it was a casual dining establishment. We chose to order food from the kiosk machine, which was a self-service option. We received the utensils and water ourselves. We ordered the following: -Phnom Penh Noodle -Pad Thai -Spring rolls -Banh Song Noodle Salad Phnom Penh Noodle: $14.60 + $1.50 (egg noodles) - Hubby ordered the regular size (you can upgrade it to a large size for $3 extra). It includes rice noodles, but we chose egg noodles, so we paid an extra $1.50. You can also add more ingredients, such as meat, veggies, or noodles, by paying extra fees. The Phnom Penh Noodle had ground pork, sliced pork, fish ball, shrimp, squid, lightly sprinkled cilantro, and crushed fried garlic. It was flavorful and similar to Chiu-chow style noodles. Pad Thai $14.25 Stir-fried noodles with egg, tofu, bean sprouts, and green onions mixed with house sauce. We chose beef for our protein. (Chicken, beef, and tofu are the choices for no extra charges, except seafood) The beef quality was not that good, and they were chewy. Pad Thai flavor was on the savory side and not much of the sweetness. It was more like a Cambodian and Thai fusion Pad Thai to me. My daughters liked it, but hubby and I prefer more authentic Pad Thai. Spring rolls $8.25 This appetizer had 3 pieces of Spring rolls with Shrimp, chicken, vermicelli, basil, mint leaves, cilantro and lettuce wrapped in Rice sheet and dipped in savory peanut and sweet sauce. The Vietnamese spring rolls were okay. We've tasted better spring rolls at other places, though. Banh Song Noodle Salad $14.60 I ordered this Banh Song Noodle Salad, and it was cold Vermicelli noodles with fresh cucumber, bean sprouts, mint leaves, basil, lettuce, egg rolls, and a choice of chicken, shrimp, or Beef topped with our cyclo sauce. (I picked chicken for the protein) It was similar to Vietnamese bun for me. The portion was big. I liked this dish, but the chicken meat could be more tender. I liked the cyclo sauce and the coconut sauce. Overall, it was not bad, but I had higher expectations. It was a 3.5 stars to me (round up to 4 stars).

I got the pad thai and it was disappointing. Very dry and no flavor. Not even sure what I ate. Paid extra for meat and mixed seafood toppings and that was also disappointing. Meat was hard and chewy. Seafood was just one shrimp, half fish ball, and one imitation crab meat. Portion is big and that's about it. Hope the quality of other food is still the same. I also noted they increased the price on the beef skewers.

This was my first time trying this restaurant after being recommended by my friend and I decided to get it for take-out for my family. FOOD: I ordered the *phnom penh noodle* and it was not good. I paid an extra $1.50 to have my noodle soup with egg noodles with a 10% tip and it was not received and still got the rice noodles. The imitation crab was gross and the shrimp was tiny. The only thing I liked about the dish was the single fish ball. The portion of the toppings overall was low quality and little with two pieces each and the fish ball in halves. For *chicken curry vermicelli steak* noodle dish, it was watery and tasteless. The *beef and beef ball noodle dish* was overall good. They gave the egg noodles we paid extra for and flavorwise they were good but the noodles had gelled together into a gelatinous brick. After vigorously separating them, the noodles still had some sizeable clumps. This was somewhat surprising as other dry egg noodles we've had from different establishments never had this issue. On the plus side, the tripe was delicious, as were the other meats in the dish. The portion for each meat was also generous, which made the lackluster portions of the *phnom penh noodles* seem even stranger. The broth was also serviceable in terms of flavor, but not particularly memorable for its flavor. DRINKS: My friends got the *viet iced coffee* and the *mango shake smoothie* and they LOVED THEM. One of the good things on the menu. OVERALL: All in all, this so-called restaurant comes off as a gentrified and only to be made trendy for college students that want to be seen cool participating in Asian culture. Drive 15 minutes east to Westminster for real Viet food like Peach Garden Restaurant or My Vi Mi Gia Restaurant that will give you real portions.

Yeah, the food wasn't great. Nice enough place with friendly staff, but the food was mediocre to bad. The pho was just basic and a little bland and the egg rolls were really mushy inside and the wrapper was more like a tortilla than an egg roll. They really need to at least work on the basics. Only bumping to 2 stars because the staff was cool.

I have been eating at Cyclo Noodles for about 4 years now. Their pho is delicious, I have tried their other non pho dishes as well but I stick to the pho mainly. Their egg rolls are decent and spring rolls. I enjoy their pho's flavorful broth and Iove the amount of bean sprouts and jalapeños they give. Their service is always quick. Inside the restaurant is spacious and has an outdoor dining area as well. Their brisket and meatball pho bowls are definitely recommended.

If you are in the neighborhood this is a must stop for their fresh coconut shakes. The food is decent but not my favorite. But the fresh coconut shakes are delish. Refreshing and hydrating and not too sweet. It does take a bit of time though even with no other customers haha. It is also very affordable. It used to be $5 but now they've raised the price to $6. Still a great deal!

This place combines all my favorite southeast Asian foods into one location. The ordering kiosk makes it super easy to browse their whole selection of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai food offerings. I got the Phnom Penh noodle and Thai tea. I seated myself and placed my table number down. While I was in the restroom, my tea and food was delivered to my table - less than 3 minutes wait! The Phnom Penh noodle soup had the right taste and was hot. The portion of meat as well as the side garnishes was perfect for one person. The staff are meticulous at keeping the restaurant tidy and orderly. I also liked that they had water, napkins, and fish sauce at a counter for self-serve. The food was good and hot, service was fast, and I personally like that they have a hands-off approach and let customers enjoy their time inside without rush.

Decided to check this location out after finding my original location closed on Mondays. Cyclo noodles will do the job if you've been gone for the week and craving some noodle soup. They have tablets you can order off of and it's self seat after ordering. This is my first time have this type of soup, but it felt lacking. My favorite part about this meal was definitely the fried crueller. I love how it soaks in the soup and dissipates in your mouth. They have a large parking lot , shared with surrounding stores.

Great food! I had the cycle pho & it was just right. The broth was balanced, salt, depth...the portion was perfect. I'm usually not big on chili's but the server recommended it. She was very sweet & brought us a serving of chilli oil because "it smells nice." It was great! Not too spicy at all. I finished my bowl to the bottom & enjoyed every drop. It's a clean, simple inviting ambiance with ample parking. I'm definitely returning when I'm ever in the area.

Not as authentic as I had hoped. we ordered the Phnom Penh noodle soup and the curry noodle soup - both were subpar or below average. The fried bread was so heavy in dough and that is not the way it should be as you typically use it to dip into your soup. The only thing I did like was their beef sticks.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. When we walked in, there were two workers inside, completely ignoring us while glued to their phones and loudly chatting with each other. No greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. The restaurant itself was filthy. The table we chose hadn't been cleaned, and I watched as two other tables sat dirty long after customers had left. To make matters worse, new customers came in and sat at those same unclean tables! Not a single person offered us water. When we asked, they just pointed to the back and told us to get it ourselves. We were stunned. I honestly don't even know why we left a tip because there was zero service. It's all self-check-in, you order and pay at a kiosk, and they just drop the food at your table without a word. The pho was completely flavorless, the spring roll was massive but had barely any shrimp, and even though the pho bowl was large, it had almost no meat. We ended up taking it home just so we could fix the flavor ourselves. For the price, this place is a complete rip-off, terrible quality and absolutely zero service. Even as we were leaving, we said "hi," and they still ignored us. The staff was beyond rude, and the entire atmosphere was unwelcoming. Never coming back.

I got the number 15 and their broth is amazing! There is no MSG in the broth/restaurant which I love because my friend has a severe allergy. This is our go to spot in Long Beach! Their egg rolls were okay, they were not as thin as most Vietnamese places and didn't come with all the side stuff to put it in. They were cheap though so I did not mind. It is also self seated so it may be very busy on the weekends. I went for Saturday lunch and found a table quickly. I am very happy with my first and definitely not my last visit. read more

Best pho place in long beach I have EVER been to!!!! Pls trust me on this LOL Since the weathers been pretty cold lately, I was craving some hot noodles and decided to come here! The last time I came here, I got the Pad Thai (beef(?) I think) to-go and was not a fan. As someone who LOVES pad Thai/pad see Iw I was not a fan of the pad Thai here.. :( since this restaurant is super close to csulb I decided to give it another try (4 stars with over 400 reviews lol). I ordered the #16. Beef Noodle with Well Done Brisket and man I was SO satisfied after almost finishing the whole freaking thing! The broth was VERY flavorful and the noodles were dope too. Best part? I ordered this and a Jasmine tea (hot) and the total came out under $10! :O oh and make sure to tip them bc you're paying for your meal before you eat! Also, everything here is pretty much self-serve: water (with lemons), they have a freaking water machine with fresh lemons/or limes inside! Lit.; plastic cups to put your hoisin/sriracha sauce in; napkins. Seriously guys, check this place out if you're ever in long beach or you go to csulb! Worth the drive (imo!) service is also pleasant! The cashier (older woman) is pretty funny!! :3 P.s. I got the Thai iced tea my first time here and it was one of the best Thai iced teas I've EVER had in my life. YEET read more

Food was good and prices reasonable. We had Pad Thai, Chicken & beef satay, spring rolls and jasmine tea. However, service was lacking. Besides the person that took our order, the rest of the staff looked miserable so their gloom doom vibes had me feeling funky on trying to enjoy my date night. The waitress was the walking dead and heaven forbid, ask for extra napkins. Yikes! C'mon y'all...if you hate your job that much, please apply elsewhere...Amazon, Uber, post office? Life is too short and there are people that have true passion in the food industry! Anywoo, definitely consider take out in the future. read more

This review is for their veggie pho only. It is absolutely delicious, and you get so much for the price. It fulfills my craving for noodles + hot soup without making me feel bloated (coughlikeIwouldifIgotramencough). Plus it's loaded with veggies, which I love. I also actually like that it's not overwhelming with flavor when you first get it, because it allows me to customize it slightly by adding as much hot sauce/hoisin sauce/soy sauce as I want. (It still tastes great without the additions too though; it honestly just depends on my mood that day whether I want more spice or anything like that, heh.) All in all, the veggie pho from here is a nice, refreshing meal no matter the weather outside. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. read more

The PHO tasted old and smelled gamey. I'm not one to complain but after spending $25 I would want fresh broth and meat. One of the servers literally said it would be easier to bring your PHO if you moved your dishes once you're done and I didn't even know what to say after that That's how I got served! No thanks! Cool interior/decor, mostly fast service, and very modern looking. I wasn't amazed by much of anything from this place. It just seemed like a good hangout spot. Their soup seemed to be a little too peppery today, lacked some flavor, but I won't judge too harshly based on my first and only experience eating there. I'll revisit someday because it seemed like they have a lot of potential to make great food. Their servers touched the soup a little each time when she was serving. I personally don't mind, but I noticed some other customers were getting bugged by it a little. Chill, it's just a thumb lol. Parking's relatively easy to find in this plaza. Which is always a plus, though during noon time it might be a little hot. They've got self serve water, and if you ordered the soup it always comes with some lime. I liked that combo because I always enjoy having some nice cool lime water during the summer. But yeah, there's not much to say except that this place operates like a fast food place, but just Vietnamese. read more

Love this place!!! This used to be on go-to spot back in the day. I recently was battling a cold and decided to venture over here for some good ol pho. I ordered the #14. Pho Cyclo and it comes with rice noodles, steak, beef, and tendon. It was very good. I really like the portions here and the hot broth is perfect for a sore throat. Also, be sure to order the Twin Bread. It will not disappoint! read more

Just a really REALLY good pho spot. No BS, no gimmicks, eatery style. This place gets busy at peak meal times, so bring lots of patience or avoid the peak hour. They don't try to win your business with decor or ambience. They just let their food do the talking, and they speak gospel. They also give VERY generous portions. Come hungry. Update: tried their Cambodian noodle today, very unique broth flavor in a good way. Will definitely try more! read more

I frequently come here for a Pho, which is usually good. The thin sliced rare steak is good, but the well-done brisket is tough and chewy with a lot of ligaments. I recommend the rare beef but avoid the brisket. I had to spit out each bite of brisket. read more

I got the chicken lettuce wraps and they were really filling and gave a lot for the price. I was really happy with my meal. My friend got the soup with seafood and liked her food too. The place is fast and has a pretty big parking lot. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet but I guess that's a good thing since I was able to try a few more items now. To start off, the pho here is fantastic. I usually go with the pho tai which is a basic pho and well-done steak soup. The one thing you will notice is the portions of any pho dish here are incredible! They only have one size to choose from and that's large. I have a friend who never gets full from any pho place we've gone to but this was the first time I've seen them get stuffed. The broth here is very nice too. Not the best I've had but on par with the better ones. You just can't go wrong with pho. The second dish I recommend is the Bo Luc Lac (#25). WOW, this would my favorite dish. The portions are great, and it has the taste to match. The beef cubes here are always tender and served to perfection. The seasoning is on-point. Add in the bed of lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, rice, and drizzle their special sauce around everything and you've got a meal to ravish in. I've got this dish on several occasions and it's been 5-star quality each time. The third dish is the pad thai. Pretty good pad thai if you're feeling thai food and the portion is great per usual. It is served in a neat boat shaped bowl too. Not the best option here but certainly not a bad option. I've had their thai tea too and it's great. It is sweet though so if you don't like sweet stuff make sure to ask them to put less sugar in it. Customer service is up to par here and parking is a hit or miss depending on when you go. The spaces are very small too so hopefully you go on a less busy time or don't mind parking farther away. I'd say this place is 4.6 stars, rounded up to 5. It is definitely one of the best Asian fusion food options available in the great city of Long Beach. read more

Amazing little lunch spot. When I do I look forward to getting Cambodian food. I did some quick research and zoned in on this place. Glad I did! The soups are fresh, the spot is a cozy little shack on a corner with lots of windows. They make these fresh little breads that have minced meat inside them. The place is full of families and young people. read more

I came here because there were a lot of raves. The only thing that I liked here was their smoothie; I ordered a coconut smoothie and they used real coconut. I didn't not like the rice noodles and my spoon was greasy when I grabbed it. I ordered the pho brisket and the brisket was nothing but fat. read more

Totally changing my opinion. Love their low Carb noodle option and can order any dish with them. Even use em for a ride replacement. And I figured out which soups have tripe so I can avoid them. It would be helpful if they had a more detailed menu so you knew exactly what's in each dish read more

Great casual spot for noodles but don't skip on the coconut shake which is made from fresh coconut. Pro Tip: If you're in a rush, stick to the noodle soups since they come out faster then the rice/stir fry noodle dishes. If doing take out, you can ask for the noodles to be not cooked so that you can cook them at home preventing potential noodle clumping. I've been coming here since they opened and the only downside is that the interior tables are showing their age. Also, I hope they get rid of their bus your own table policy in the near future. Its a bit gross pouring leftover soup into a trash can. read more

I was so excited to try this place considering the Yelp rate was 4.5 stars but the food was not good . We ordered the egg rolls and it was meh. They did not have any seasoning and tasted stale . We had the beef sate and it was fatty that my mom and I spat it out and couldn't finish the rest. I give this place 3 starts cuz the coconut shake was good and pho was ok. read more

When she politely brought it to Marisol's attention, instead of acknowledging that there may have been a mistake, Marisol insisted the order had never been placed that way. She then asked my daughter if she wanted to order the missing item while she was already there to pick up her food, which would require waiting another 15 minutes. Since the delay was the result of an incorrect order, my daughter asked if she could at least receive fresh fries while waiting. Marisol told her she would have to pay extra for fresh fries. Marisol also claimed that she had repeated the order back over the phone when it was originally placed. That simply isn't true. She rushed my daughter off the phone, saying she'd see her in 15 minutes, without reviewing the order. We've continued to support A&J's because the food is consistently excellent, but experiences like this make it harder to keep coming back. Great food can only go so far when customers are made to feel dismissed instead of valued. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional customer service training so loyal customers receive the experience they deserve.

The Thai tea itself was pretty standard, but that popsicle was like the icing on a cake. The places, modern and clean. Staff is helpful and nice. Parking is their own lot but can be difficult to get a spot on a busy day or night.

I tend to bypass anything having to do with the pho experience but this place is by far the best I have had. The food was fantastic! I had the spring rolls, egg rolls, and a bowl of the pho. Not to mention the amazing coconut shake that is to die for. I live in Tustin and I will definitely be traveling back to Long Beach just to continue the delight of the GREAT customer service (something you don't really see too much these days anywhere else) and the delicious food of course. Cyclo has a unique style, I loved the little Cambodian bike outside of the restaurant to match the design and tone of the inside. The owners really did a wonderful job with making sure the clientele was happy and well taken care of. The prices are good and a comfortable atmosphere to just hangout, and eat good food. Cyclo Noodles is a hidden gem and the definition of a hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop shop in Long Beach. It's a casual, no-frills setup where you order at the counter, but they bring the food out to your table, which adds a nice touch. Also we got sides of spring rolls, which were served with a chunky nut sauce and a sweet/sour sauce. The pho has lots of depth and hit the spot. One of the best things you can do to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wash your hands frequently, especially before you eat. Doesn't make any sense that a place that allows outdoor dine in would refuse access to the restroom for that purpose, many other places that are open allowed use of the restroom. Waitress wasn't too friendly either. If you say thank you to someone they're supposed to say you're welcome. Also they don't provide any hand sanitizer at the register or tables. Seems like this place PROMOTES the spread of Covid 19. Yuck! read more

This place is the to go spot for all type of noodles. I've been here four times and tried the Pho and pad see ew. The broth is delicious and the pad see ew is my favorite. Need to tell all my friends and families to come here and try out all their food. Everything on the menu is all delicious. It's hard to make a decision. I had an awesome time at Cyclo Noodles! As soon as I walked in, the place smelled amazing with all those fresh herbs. The menu's got a bunch of Vietnamese dishes, but let me tell you, the noodles stole the spotlight. Their pho? Unreal! The broth was flavorful, and the beef was so tender. I always see this place driving past the circle so I thought I'd give it a try. I thought the noodles and bread (forget the name at the moment) were pretty tasty, however, nothing about the ingredients seemed to be really authentic. It was good, but in a home made ramen type of way, not like a sit don restaurant kinda way. With that said, 3 stars perfectly fits this place. CyClo Noodles was the perfect spot to grab lunch at. I ordered the Cyclo Noodles with Twin bread it was so filling that I almost gave up. However, I mustered energy from within and was able to finish the entire thing. The pho was fresh, broth was flavorful, and the meat was tender. This is a five star review based on my visit (01/19/23). I came here for lunch and they had a variety menu options for food and drink. I absolutely love this place! I came here for the first time about three years ago and I always get the chicken pho with a boba drink, the green tea one is sooo yummy. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the employees are very nice. The pho is good whether it's a hot day and you're feeling good or if it's cold outside and you're a little under the weather. lots of parking. They have ample handicap parking and access to the storefronts is nearby. The inside of the restaurant is small but the seating can easily accommodate those with wheelchairs. It is usually quiet but can become louder during lunch and dinner time. The food was very enjoyable and we had lots of leftovers.
