Food was delicious! We also got the spinach dip and it was so good! The ambiance is also vibey- great neighborhood spot!

We came on Valentine's Day and this place had a lot of food for everyone (except not much for vegans). It's a great place for lots of people to get together easily, get drinks, great seafood, and was very kid friendly!

Forgot how good this place was. Came out on a nice day and sat on the porch. Cheese board and cocktails on happy hour. Had some fries and a smoking hot pizza. Service was a bit slower than I would have liked for a random day, but still good overall.

Delicious Food, Great Drinks, Nice Vibe... just may have to deal with a few flies here and there. Saturday brunch here was pretty chill and calm. Ordered the biscuit with assorted jams (forgot to snap a pic before devouring), and the spinach salad with jumbo shrimp. To help wash everything down, had a personal carafe of the peach Bellini mimosa (deep eddys Peach and champagne)... you get about 4 pours from it (if you fill to half of your flute). Server could have been a bit more friendly but I made it work...I refrained from matching energy that day.

Stopped in with a friend on Saturday. We had a reservation in the patio but it was quite hot outside so they let us move inside which was really nice. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. We started off with the balloon bread and it was really good the honey complimented the bread well. My friend had the ravioli and she really liked it. I had the angel hair pasta with shrimp and it was delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and I would recommend trying it.

D'Alba is a sweet neighborhood spot that's perfect for residents in the area. The inside is spacious but the outdoor patio is even larger. For those with little ones, there's even a playground for them to stay busy. I've only been for brunch, but everytime we've been, we always leave with bellies full and hearts content. We always order the mimosa flight where you can choose up to three different flavors. The dining menu is limited, but tries to offer a little something for everyone. I shared the Waffle with Chicken Confit with my partner, but this can be filling for one. The pairing was perfect in theory, but the waffle was unfortunately dry. The chicken confit was DELICIOUS and tender, but a bit salty on its own -- it really needed the waffle's sweetness to balance it out.

This place is absolutely fabulous! From their apps and drinks to the main dishes this place is on point. Our service was good and the food came out quickly. We loved sitting outside with fans at each table it made the summer heat very tolerable. Must try- Brussels!!! Yum! We also LOVE their ballon bread

Ordered this to go. It was very good and seasoned. Order was exactly what we placed. I would for sure try the other food. The veggies were fresh

What an utmost fabulous experience at D'Alba for happy hour. A friend and I ended up here and boy a time was had! The moment I walked in I knew this was to be one of my spots! The music was great , whoever the DJ was had me dancing my way to the table. Our server was so knowledgeable of the drinks and foods down to flavor profiles. We had one of the best Ceasars salads ever. The dill added to the dressing gave the salad a unique fresh edge. The fresh oysters delicate and the pesto home made campanelle with vegetables just heavenly. The D'Alba mule is very much refreshing as it was perfectly mixed. 2 will put you on your tush! I cant wait to go back and try their pizza!!!

Such a cute place that's very family and group friendly. There's a lot of space on the patio area and a playground as well as picture opportunities outside. Food was really good and tasty. Service fast and attentive. Will be coming back here with my kiddos.

Very nice restaurant with a lot of activity on the patio due to beautiful weather. Perfect spot after a nice long walk in Memorial Park. We couldn't decide so shared the hamburger (though we subbed the English muffin for a bun) & hot chicken. The hot chicken was both of our favorite of the two. My boyfriend loved the fries because they were crispy on the outside without being over done. They were a little too thin for my taste but like I said, my boyfriend loved, loved, loved them. (He also loves me so there's no accounting for his taste. Ha!) I would definitely go again.

Came here on a lunch date with my sister and the food was really good! The restaurant is tucked inside the Garden Oaks neighborhood. We got the pepperoni pizza and added basil to it for extra flavor and it tasted delicious. The beef bolognese was also delicious. My favorite item that we ordered was the balloon bread - definitely the standout item on the menu! The flavor combination of the basil pesto and the honey on the bread is interesting, but I thought it was pretty good. The pizza and the alba balloon bread are big enough to share too. Service was great! All the staff here were very attentive to us during our time here.

This was the short rib dinner, everything was perfectly seasoned with tender veggies!
    Katie G.

I love this place. Been here twice; once for short ribs, and once for pizza. The short ribs and veggies were perfection. The pizza had a great oven fires pizza taste, that I loved. The food is so fresh and wonderful and very reasonably priced in the market per its value with the great outdoor seating, comfortable inside seating, good service and the food always being consistently great, I always make an excuse to come here and treat myself

The food. The most flavorless burger I have had in a while. Tasted my friend's pizza, and that was also uninspired. Cute place.

The fried chicken was well balanced, good brine and a crispy delicate batter. The bread with butter and jam was also quite decent. Seems to be a martini place but I had a Manhattan and really enjoyed it, it was a strong drink but very tasty. The pappardelle with the wide noodles was so fun and there was lots of parm which I liked, and the lemon zest was a nice touch. The squash was soft and I loved the ricotta. The campanelle was really unique with the crawfish and the spicy sauce, the noodle shape was so fun. The cheeseburger is tiny but mighty, super juicy and cheesy. The fries were perfectly crispy. Mango sorbet was packed full of mango flavor! Really enjoyed this spot, can't believe it took me so long to get here. Probably best to get a reservation. Small parking lot available.

Settled near a warm window on an easy Houston evening, the room felt calm and unhurried. The kind of place where conversations don't compete with the music and nobody seems in a rush to turn the table. It was comfortable in the best sense of the word: inviting without trying too hard. We started with the meatballs and a round of dollar oysters. The oysters were exactly what happy hour oysters should be--cold, briny, and easy to enjoy with a drink in hand. The meatballs were satisfying and well executed, delivering the kind of familiar comfort food that rewards simplicity done properly. A vodka tonic accompanied my meal, while my companion opted for the happy hour margarita, which fit the mood of the evening perfectly. Neither drink was particularly ambitious, but both were well made and served without fuss. What elevated the experience beyond merely good was the service. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely eager to make the evening enjoyable. They even went out of their way to bring items that normally weren't available to order, a small gesture that made the meal feel personal rather than transactional. Hospitality like that lingers in memory longer than any garnish or elaborate plating ever could. Pricing felt fair for the setting and overall experience--not inexpensive, but reasonable enough that you leave feeling you received your money's worth. Lazy Lane may not be chasing culinary immortality, but it understands something many restaurants forget: people return because they feel taken care of. On that night, with good company, oysters, cocktails, and a staff willing to go the extra mile, that was more than enough.

There's an inflatable red bounce house in They were out of the lychee martinis during my visit, big bummer. We shared the pull apart bread - first bite I couldn't help but taste how salty it was. Quite toasted. I'm thinking soft, warm gooey pull apart bread. Crab tortellini - Taste wise: more of an onion tortellini than a crab tortellini. Personally it was visually unappealing TBH. I always enjoy roe for the texture. Birria pasta - initial note is spicy then you start recognizing the birria flavors. I was initially interested in that baked potato pizza but after ordering the bread appetizer, decided against it. We had a reservation, and were seated in the bar area at a fairly small bar high top (actually middle height top) table that had the chairs on the same side, facing the bar. It is tiny and packed tight inside, but they do have patio seating as well. Parking is very limited, but you can find street parking nearby. Reservations are highly recommended but walk ins are welcome. We had a few people taking care of us that night and they were all great. I was between a few items and they were very helpful in steering me in the right direction. We started off with a few bottles of wine to get the night started. From what I understand, their wine list is one of the things they are known for. Your only other option for an adult beverage is limited options of canned or bottled beers. I didn't really have a say in the wine we shared, but what we had was delicious and paired nicely with the items we ordered. For starters, we went with the highly recommended bread service. Get this! This bread was so good. I doubt they make it as ordered, but it came out like it was fresh out of the oven. It was a nice crusty bread with a fluffy interior served on a cutting board with a huge smear of miso butter. We then went with the Crispy Cauliflower which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was smothered in a gochujang aioli and reminded me of a general tso chicken or something. Very good. Thai Chili Rubs was next and these were so good as well. I'm a sucker for all the Asian flavor profiles and this hit that. For my entree, I ended up with the Pork Chop w/ Chutney. This was a huge chop on a layer of apple sauce and a wonderful chutney that contrasted the sweet sauce. Every layer worked well together. I will say the pork chop was just slightly over cooked, in some parts. It also came with green beans which was cooked just right. No room for dessert as we had another party to head to. Overall, I'm glad my friends picked this spot for their birthday celebration. I am now in the know about this place and will consider coming back in the future.

Is this the most overrated restaurant in Houston?…read more After being on my "To Try" list for an unacceptable amount of time, I finally made my way over to Nancy's Hustle. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back

Just kidding LOL that didn't happen! Anyway, back to the point, sorry.. I like to mess around a little. I wasn't that hungry because I had food yesterday I ordered a kids cheeseburger burger with fries, a kids meal chicken tender with fries, a farmhouse burger, and the half chicken with biscuits. I also had the his biscus lemonade. Needless to say--well actually, quite needing to say since this is a review after all--the food was pretty good. Prices were a little crazy but it's become all to normal in this day and age. As for the food, I ordered a kids cheeseburger burger with fries , a kids meal chicken tender.. don't feel like saying all this again. As for the food, the service was pretty good I guess. The girl servers were pretty smart. The boy servers were a little less smart. Every time the guys brought food, they either stood there looking around, or attempted to place the food on top of other plates or napkins that were on the tiny table. I suggest maybe a boot/concentration program for the guys so they can concentrate a lil more. Ok, it's time for me to go. I'm gonna go to sleep after all the food. I forgot to mention what I ordered. kids cheeseburger burger with fries, a kids meal chicken tender with fries, a farmhouse burger, and the half chicken with biscuits. I also had the his biscus lemonade. The half chicken was obviously what they tried the hardest in. There were 4 types of sauce with it. They were all pretty good, but I didn't eat the chicken. The chicken tasted incredible-- so much so that I finished it completely. But I don't like eating around bones, I find it primitive. I'm more of a chicken tender kinda guy if you know what I mean. Oh yeah and for the food, I had a his biscus lemonade. It was SO good. Alright. And that is the end of my review. I hope I did t forget to list my food items because I've gotten hate messages calling me weird. Anyway, I'm out chat. Thank you to my faithful followers. Continue to look forward to my honest reviews. P.S. the beginning part was not a joke it actually happened. I have a video but I won't put it because I'm tryna lay low it you know what I'm sa Tying to you yuui

The place was pretty empty when we arrived with there being a small party at a table. Notables there were dirty plates left on a table for quite a bit. The bar tender was very friendly and makes a heck of a drink but as the evening progressed and more people arrived at the Cafe the service became extremely slowwww. This is also why tables weren't cleaned quickly. There needs to be atleast 2 personnel there. Now as stated the bevs were great and they had a lot of unique cocktails I'd like to try but I didn't want to have to wait all night so we left! Will I be back though?? Absolutely!

Wow, what a let down. A couple of my friends and I were in the neighborhood and did a quick search…read morefor spots with reverse happy hour and Sunday Social was one of the first results. Reviews stated that they offer $10 Carajillos starting at 10pm and both Yelp and Google Maps showed them open until midnight. We showed up just a couple of minutes past 10pm to find active construction underway inside. There was a gentleman working on the flooring, furniture being disassembled and lots of construction equipment outside. The seeming owner or manager reassured us to come in, however as soon as we took a seat we learned that they closed at 10pm. Ironically there was a young man assembling a large sign that states "open until 10pm" to prop outside. The bartender offered to make us a drink and since we had driven here just for this spot (I would call it a coffee shop and not really a bar), we agreed. The Carajillos were $15 and sadly, batched. Disappointing for a cocktail with only about two ingredients. We asked if they could add an orange peel garnish but unfortunately they were out. Definitely a one and done. Will not be back.
