Come here during my lunch break. I have been coming here a few time since its next to my work place. I just try the caramel flan coffee and its so good. I have tried egg coffee but I like the flan coffee better. The server/cashier is nice! (Idk what his name). There was a random customer cut in front of us, but the server was able to handle the situation well and still prioritized us. He did apologized later because of that customer. I've had Bingsoo at Sul&Beans Las Vegas and Sul&Beans Buena Park, CA. After I took this picture, the bingsoo was $13 and I don't mind the price as long as the food is good and service is good, but the durian ice cream fell off when I just picked it up and haven't even touched it with my spoon and they weren't willing to replace it. This is the first time I've tried their bingsoo and it was awful, no durian flavor at all - maybe just a light durian smell. Sul&Beans Vegas is the best in my opinion, this place was garbage and had terrible customer service. Never coming back, would not recommend! read more

I went to Da Vien for the first time last week and I understand the hype. They have a unique coffees which I've never tried before. We got the egg coffee and the da vien coffee, both were super delicious! I never tried an egg coffee before and by my surprise, it was more than amazing. I liked how the coffee still taste amazing as the ice melted! There was a lot of people inside but we waited no more than 10 minutes for drinks. This place gave cute modern coffee shop vibes. I attended their Grand Opening this past weekend and was able to get the free coffee fin as being part of the first 50 in line! The coffee is one of the best vietnamese coffee I had in OC. The sweetness does not overpower the richness of the coffee, but complements it to bring a more balanced coffee taste. This coffee definitely kept me awake and focused through studying for midterms and I will definitely be coming back!! Interior is super duper cute and staff is sweet as well! If you want to try tasty, authentic vietnamese coffee, this placed would be one of my top recommendations! read more

You can already tell what I'm gonna say based on my previous review....still amazing.... I stopped by with my sister for a quick pick me up and tried their Matcha Latte and Ube coffee, they were both sweet and delicious. Temptation beat the both of us and we ended up ordering a mango bingsoo as well. The mango was fresh and delicious, I think I enjoyed this one more than the brown sugar! Breathing is one of the most essential things we do as humans, right next to drinking the nectar of coffee.. I heard this place Davien has a remarkable egg coffee. I have a good history with egg coffee so I knew I had to try this place out. If you been to Nep Cafe you know Nep cafe has great coffee but their egg coffee is just ok compared to other options available. Davien is apparently known for their egg coffee and I have been pleasantly impressed by the consistency, creaminess, and boldness of the mix of egg coffee they create. I tend to like my sweetness a bit on the low side so I can really enjoy the aromas and flavor of the coffee so half sweet did it perfect for me. It is a absolute recommend from me! I had a hankering for bingsoo and had a hard time figuring out which one I wanted to try tonight. Ultimately, I went with the durian because I've been on a durian kick lately and I don't want it to end! WOW their bingsoo is perfectly (I don't say this lightly) balanced with the sweetness of the condensed milk, soft and smooth consistency of ice, and mixed in at the bottom with agar boba, just incredible. Not sure I can say much for the durian ice cream I think it and the durian blend pour over was sort of lacking the punch of freshness of good quality durian which is so key for a dessert like this. Next time I'll try a mango or strawberry one because I think it's hard to miss the mark on freshness with those fruit. I also had and recommend their caramel flan toast, the toast is.. perfectly toasted with a nice crispy crunchy outer layer and the warm soft white bread inside we all love. Overall I think the flan has a silky texture without being too sweet but it is missing the caramelized flavor that brings the dark side of sugar out. This place is nearly perfect missing a few marks here and there from some of my particular favorites durian and flan, the coffee is an absolute must try even if you need to drive an hour to get it, you won't regret it! Staff here was warm and helpful as I asked about some of the menu items and was deciding on what to try out. We stayed almost til closing and they weren't rude or anything which is a good sign of the team culture. Parking is a bit dicey in this area since there are many other great places to eat here so don't be surprised if you have to walk a little from your parking spot! read more

Noticed a new dessert place in town so I had to check them out. The interior is very simple but neat decor with two tables outside for dining. A few of the items I got were: Durian Coffee - Actually got this for my mom to try and she was not a huge fan of the coffee. You can taste the durian but it's not as strong as it is with other coffees that use legit durian chunks. Brown Sugar Boba Bingsoo - If you love boba, definitely try this one out. The bingsoo was so refreshing on a hot day and their boba consistency was actually pretty good. It also comes drizzled with a cream and a pudding on the side. Berry Toast - Solid toast, reminds me of a less sweet version of brick toast. I liked that they spread the jam on top and it paired well with the scoop of ice cream. Overall, a nice addition to Bolsa St and I can see why they get a steady flow of customers. Check them out! read more

I came tonight (Thursday 3/23) a few minutes before 9:55 PM behind a few people/1 group that made a large order for over a dozen people...just to hear..."I'm sorry the kitchen is closed?"...for a bingsoo...wow...next time there should be a sign that say close at 9:55PM instead of 10PM... I should have called in sooner...guess I've learned that lesson. Gas is not cheap and time of driving there is not something everyone has... I would have never turn down a customer if they ever step foot in my office/Restaurant ....well that's what I have advised our staff anyway... Delicious! We tried the strawberry bingsoo and chocolate brick toast, as well as the strawberry brick toast. Everything was so good. The bingsoo was sweet and had a light & airy texture. The brick toast was perfectly toasted, and soft and warm inside. It's hard to find good brick toast in OC, so this was deff a good find. The place is tiny, but extremely crowded with students. Service is lukewarm. --- Marble drip: It's like drinking sweet milk. There is nothing else inside except watered down evaporated milk with some coffee. --+ Egg coffee: It's way better than the marble drip, the eggnog foam is nothing special. coffee is overly sweetened. Didn't get the hype if you grew up in Europe and there is always this drink called Advocaat. It's very similar but with liquor. --+ Cheese salted egg: The pork floss is too sweet and a bit rancid. The salty egg yolk powder is little, together with the japanese mayonnaise, it's not a nasty bite if the pork floss is not rancid. But I won't buy it again even if the pork floss is fresh, because it's a really boring dish. Difficult and limited parking spots, tiny crowded place, tiny outdoor sitting, sub par drinks. read more

Great place to get your sweet cravings fixated. One of the few places that opens till 10 on a Sunday. Perfect for late night deserts. Had to try there specialty durian bingsoo and caramel flan toast. Da Vien has easily become one of our favorite coffee spots in Orange County and definitely one of the most unique cafes we've tried lately. We originally stopped by because we kept hearing about their specialty drinks online, and after our first visit we completely understood the hype. The strawberry matcha was amazing -- really fresh tasting with a smooth matcha flavor that wasn't bitter at all. The strawberry balanced it perfectly without making the drink overly sweet or artificial tasting. You can tell they use quality ingredients because everything tasted really clean and well made. We also tried the ube coffee which ended up being one of the biggest surprises for us. The ube flavor was rich, creamy, and earthy in the best way while still letting the coffee come through. I visited Da Vien with high hopes, excited to try their Vietnamese-style matcha combined with ube. Unfortunately, I left feeling slightly underwhelmed. I ordered two Ube Matchas, which totaled around $14.00. While the presentation was inviting and the flavors of ube and matcha blended well visually, the execution left something to be desired. The ube flavor was quite strong--so much so that it overshadowed the delicate, earthy taste of the matcha. For a drink featuring ceremonial matcha, I expected the matcha's flavor to shine through more prominently, but it felt muted and imbalanced. Additionally, the matcha itself leaned too sweet for my taste, even at 50% sweetness. To complicate matters, there was a noticeable coconut flavor that I hadn't anticipated, which further overpowered the subtle matcha notes. While I appreciate creative flavor pairings, this combination felt overly rich and stifled the intended matcha experience. Overall, Da Vien offers an interesting concept, and I admire their attempt at blending unique flavors. However, for $14, I expected a more harmonious balance of ingredients. While the drink wasn't terrible, it didn't quite meet my expectations. Worth a try if you're curious, but not something I'd rush back for. read more

I came in early today with my boyfriend and when we came, there were a lot of orders already so there was a slight line, but we took it as a sign that this place must be worth it and it is SO WORTH IT. The cashier with the cool black and white split hair dye was super friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions, despite all of the orders. All of the employees were super nice and friendly. Me and my boyfriend got two drinks, the egg coffee and their DaVien Coffee. We only waited like 5 minutes for our drinks, but the employees said "sorry for the long wait", which is totally not long at all. The employees here are super kind to customers, regardless of any situation. 15/10 for customer service! Their coffee is SUPER STRONG!!! I got the DaVien coffee and the foam on top is super yummy. My boyfriend got the egg coffee and he really liked the egg foam on top too. The coffee was so strong, and so when we asked the same cashier for some water, she brought it out to our table really quickly and was so nice about it. 10/10 for coffee! Me and my boyfriend will definitely come back to try out more drinks and some of their food items. Come here for awesome drinks and AMAZING customer service! read more

Ah, Da Vien, the cafe where your senses go to die. Picture this: you walk in, and the music hits you like a freight train. Seriously, it's so loud you can't hear your own thoughts, let alone have a conversation with the person next to you. It's like trying to chat in the front row of a rock concert, only without the fun. Now, onto the restroom--a chamber of horrors. The stench hits you as soon as you open the door; it's like they're going for a new fragrance called 'Eau de Neglect.' I don't know what kind of deodorizer they're using, but it definitely failed its job description. Trust me, you can smell the missed opportunities... and the urine. But wait, there's the pièce de résistance: the egg coffee. At the price they're charging, you'd think they're using eggs laid by golden geese. But no, it's just a rip-off. You could go to 7Leaves and get a bigger size for under $5, and you won't have to yell over the music to order it. In short, Da Vien is the perfect place if you're into overpriced coffee, eardrum-busting music, and aromatic adventures of the worst kind. If this place were a movie, it'd be a tragedy masquerading as a comedy. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. read more

This is an updated review following an incident last week where a drink spilled due to a broken lid. I'm both surprised and not surprised by how seriously Da Vien took my concerns. In fact, they went above and beyond by ensuring that all lids are thoroughly inspected not just at this location, but across all their shops. This level of commitment speaks volumes about their dedication to their craft and customer satisfaction. My initial review was simply to advise other customers to check their drink lids, especially for beverages that require sipping--like foam-topped drinks or egg coffee--to avoid potential spills. Thankfully, this issue has been professionally addressed, and I don't anticipate it being a concern moving forward. This week, I returned to try their coffee with matcha cream foam, and, as always, it didn't disappoint. I frequent both the Westminster and Garden Grove locations, where the staff is always accommodating and, most importantly, shows respect and accountability for any issues that arise. I truly appreciate this level of professionalism and will continue to be a loyal customer for both their excellent drinks and outstanding service. read more

Expressing my immense admiration for Da Vein, a spot I've frequented at their Garden Grove location, I recently visited this location as I was in the area. Known for their spectacular coffee drinks, this visit left me with mixed feelings. The place was bustling, to say the least, and unfortunately, the ordering and pickup area seemed pretty chaotic.. My usual go-to, the egg coffee with added salted foam, took an unfortunate turn. The foam occupied half the cup, rendering it undrinkable without some serious scooping. I've been wanting to try Da Vien for awhile now and it didn't disappoint! - The Ube Coffee was delicious! It had a strong ube flavor with a hint of coconut. The sweetness was perfect for me, but I could see how some people might find it too sweet. I would definitely go back just for this drink. - The Egg Coffee was good, but I preferred the Ube Coffee. The egg foam was smooth and creamy, but the coffee itself was a bit too strong for my taste. There was a good amount of people in the store, but it didn't take long to order and my drinks came out quickly. I tried their matcha latte with egg foam and marble drip coffee, both of which were exceptional. Everything, from sweetness to ice levels, was spot-on in my opinion. On weekends, there's a substantial morning line, extending outside, so arriving early is recommended, though the line moves swiftly. The abundance of chairs and tables, both inside and outside, provides a comfortable seating option. Additionally, the free WiFi makes it an excellent spot for studying.
