First time visiting. My friends and I came here on Saturday evening. It was not too busy. We sat without any issues or wait. We ordered a ton of sushi and rolls from special menu. Price was reasonable and foods are very delicious, Oishi. Plenty of beer sections including draft beers as well. My favorite was "buy a large sake get a small free." Guy stared at us the whole time and at one point we reorder and he said that we can't do it since one of us haven't finish his plate . This place has AYCE sushi- but fair warning that the all you can eat serves full rolls. My friend and I have seen this place multiple times so we finally decided to try it. They give you a menu and a dry erase pen to mark which orders you want, maximum of 3 items per order. The nigiri has too much rice for my taste. I only ordered the white tuna, but it was not what I was expecting from the previous times I've had a similar item in other restaurants. After that first try of the white tuna, I decided to stick to the rolls and appetizers and ended up getting super overwhelmed by our second round. There was way too much rice and crab in the rolls. My friend and I ended up not being able to finish our second round because we were so full. We decided to just take the loss and pay the extra since we couldn't finish, but the waiter was really nice and said this one time he wouldn't charge us for the box and let us take the sushi home. I appreciated that he gave us this one chance to take it home. I think it would be a good idea for them to have a sign of some sort or warn patrons when they order that they are ordering full size rolls so they don't get overwhelmed or can ask for a half size roll- something so that the food won't get wasted. I probably would not come back for their AYCE option just because it was too much rice and crab for my liking. Have been going to this place a lot and I loved it every time my friends and I visited BUT NOT TODAY. Since it's all you can eat place we ordered our first round when we fInished we ordered a second round. Have to mention this because it's important (because it was so much rice on some of them - we left some rice on the plates). After almost 15 min passed (place wasn't full at all) we asked where is our second round and guy came to us and said: "since you left food on the plates chief refused to cook for you". You don't want to cook for us - that's fine but at least you have to notify your customers. You need to have a better customer service - YOU JUST LOST 3 GREAT CUSTOMERS!!!! read more

Alrite people!! Where do i start? First i love the Lemon drop roll, the lemon add some great flavor to the roll and make sure u ask for light sauce imo. Second i love the grill hamachi OMG!!! This review is based on the ayce, the nigri is obviously frozen or not fresh, but you come here for the quantity not quality. I can only hope the lack of quality for the ayce is because it's old stock, I'd be really disheartened if the full priced nigri was the same quality. Daiki isn't the greatest sushi restaurant around, but I have to give them four stars for being the only delivery sushi on a lazy Friday night. Their sushi is fresh and they deliver within an hour. My first time ordering food from this place and I don't think I'll be ordering again. Although the delivery came rather quick, it was NOT up to my Japanese food standards. The tempura batter was something unexplainable - definitely was not panko and it was soggy as hell. My house salad was drenched in dressing - overwhelmingly drenched to the point where if I had extra lettuce at home, I would've needed a generous amount to add to it. Why didn't they put the dressing on the side like I asked? The two rolls I got - lion king and San Mateo were less than mediocre, especially for the price! Got delivery (Eat24) and Daiki gave us lackluster / boring sushi that at least seemed reasonably priced. Ordered hamachi (they were out, called me and substituted maguro), had salmon, albacore, tai, ikura etc. and all was decent but not really "fresh" and the maguro in particular had the consistency of styrofoam. A real trap and yet tasteless. I arrived at the restaurant by the yelp and said "all you can eat in a grotesque flag sign at the entrance. I asked how much was the menu and the attendant said $ 25.95. The rolls with wrong rice recipe , wasabi was a tasteless green paste. Then I looked at the side and saw it written: "if you pay by cash you have a 10% discount". I thought it was strange. In almost all USA is the opposite , cashless. When I finished the meal , I asked the check and the same clerk from before insisted that I pay in cash and get a 10% discount. I said, no thanks, but I need to pay by credit card. We saw the signs that this place wouldn't be good... the christmas lights on the outside even though it is March.... the fake palm tree even though this is a Japanese restaurant... and that when we arrived we were the only costumers in the restaurant. Prices are low because the food is low quality and the portions are small. We love this place! Have been coming here for years and have celebrated many birthdays here. My step-daughters love the sushi and my personal favorite is the baked tofu - delicious sauce over baked tofu. Mouthwatering! This is my kids' favorite Japanese place and they are disappointed when we get Japanese elsewhere. The owners are super, super nice: once, we came for my birthday and the baseball game I wanted to watch was only being shown on a sports channel the restaurant didn't subscribe to. Seeing my disappointment, the owner called his cable company and ordered the channel so we could watch the game for my birthday! Now, you can't get better service than that. Don't get me started. Tried to increase our bill and say we asked for the "all you can eat"... when we asked for two rolls. Accidents happen, but then when we received our new bill the waiter said "it's the same amount" in a terrible tone and walked away. First off, no it wasn't, it was almost 10% cheaper after we corrected them. Secondly, the tone is unnecessary, leaving a bad taste in our mouths when we simply thought they gave us the wrong bill. Used to love this place as a kid, as an adult, I am now going to give my business elsewhere. Stay away if you can. My team and I went to this restaurant yesterday for a team outing and chose to each have the "All You Can Eat" option. I'm usually very hesitant on selecting this option at restaurants because they typically do not provide accurate portion ratios The food arrived similar to ordering the items individually, however my only concern was the amount of each items being brought to the table. I'm very big on not wasting food and it was difficult to look around the restaurant and see how much was being thrown out because the plate sizes were still the full amount. read more

Ordered delivery from here for my sister's birthday and I wanted her to know I was thinking of her even though we live in different states. She had mentioned that this was one of her favorite restaurants and the delivery experience was fantastic. Ordering was very quick and easy and the food showed up even earlier than the restaurant quoted. I ordered two bento boxes, one salmon and one chicken teriyaki. A Lion king roll, lemon drop roll, mixed tempura app, and an extra California roll. The bento boxes also came with soup, rice, California roll and tempura. What a terrible horrible experience me and my 11 yrs old had tonight we were attacked by 2 young oriental guys who works at this place I took my son and went for dinner after a football practice since he loves sushi we walked in around 8:50 pm sat down and one of the young ones brought the menus we asked for 1 order of all you can eat sushi another with tempura box we got the order liked the food so much we orders another tempura box to go then one of the young guys comes to the table at 9:25 and says we are closing in 5 minutes this is the last call for sushi since we only ordered sushi once so we ordered another plate of sushi and took him 7 minutes to bring it and the young man said you cannot take this order to go you have to eat it here so I said but you are saying you are closing now he said ya we are so I started helping my 11 yrs old son to finish his food so we can leave since they are rushing us the young come back with the bill $64 I paid cash and then he comes back and says are you going to pay for the food ? I am looking at him not sure why he is asking my son said we paid then the young man said ya but your mom eat a sushi from your plate she shared the all you can eat so she have to pay another $25 I was like are you serious ? 4 stars for their ayce menu. Good variety but don't expect quality. Previous Yelp review mentions bad quality fish on lion king roll. They are correct. I would be pissed if I paid full price for that lion king roll. Since I was eating from ayce menu it's not bad. 70% of the rolls are stuffed with imitation crab. Sushi is not good quality but it's better than the crap you find at Chinese buffet. This is a good place if you like stuffing your face mediocre sushi catered for Americans. Their chicken karage isn't authentic. It's popcorn chicken you would find in a boba shop. If I got the same quality sushi for takeout or delivery I would rate 2 stars. read more

Situated on a corner, the outside definitely looks welcoming. When my partner and I entered the staff greeted us warmly and had us sit down. They asked if we wanted anything to drink and I ordered a Sapporo. The beer came first and of course it was good. Then we sent our order cards in and waited. My partners food came first. He ordered three rolls. One was fried crab and another one was crab and the other one was crab. You know the crab with a lot of mayo? Yeah that kind. I hoped my rolls would be different. Nope. I ordered one teriyaki roll and then unfortunately two crab rolls. Partly this our fault for ordering all crab but you can't escape it on the menu! I was done after four bites and stopped. My partner powered through and ate the rest of 5 of the rolls. We paid and left and my partner immediately felt sick (I had felt sick long before this). Very poor and VERY RUDE customer service!!!!! We were supposed to try the place today for the first time. As my husband and I fill out the order sheet, the guy (manager/owner--who the hell cares) came up and said "you are ordering too much, guaranteed you will waste it!", I responded to him saying that "sushi is only 2 pcs per order, (i put 4 orders, so thats 8pcs for 2 starving grown ups!) so dont judge how much we can eat!!" He is basically telling us--THE PAYING CUSTOMER, how much we should eat! Ugh, your restaurant is "all you can eat". Besides, we are decent customers, not ignorant! We know how much we could handle.
