I enjoyed my meal at Daily Eats. The service and food was good. They had a good variety of menu items with good toppings- something for everyone! We all ordered brunch but they had lunch options too. Food- I had a "make your own omelette" with veggies and goat cheese with home fries on the side. I also got one pancake on the side cause, something sweet ya know? The pancakes were multigrain which I really liked. Tips!!! For omlettes, watch the price. They had a goat cheese one with spinach and avocado, but if you had made the same exact omelette under "make your own" and it would have been $1 cheaper. I did the make your own so that I could get two more veggies for the same price as the goat cheese one. For the pancakes, watch the price. One pancake is $2 and a "short stack" (2) was $5. 2-7pm EVERY DAY they have mimosas for $2 and burgers and a side for $6. The mimosas were all champagne with a splash of syrup. read more

Ate here this morning with my boyfriend and dog. The staff and our waitress were super friendly! We both ordered a coffee and I built my own breakfast bowl which was delicious. I loved the home fries - they tasted homemade. My boyfriend built a breakfast sandwich (basically bacon egg and cheese) and thought it was good. This is a definite must for breakfast/brunch in Tampa. Thank goodness for great recommendations from friends because we would have not come across this place otherwise. We were staying in Downtown Tampa but it was an easy and quick 10 minute drive to get here. The parking lot was full but, thanks to our patience, we scored a spot in the adjacent lot. (Check out the gorgeous "You Are Beautiful" graphic on the brick wall) No worries though because there is additional parking across the street. Since it was a Sunday morning there was a bit of a wait outside. You have to sorta force yourself through the throngs of people at the door to get to the person who is taking names for the wait list. They asked where we preferred to be seated and we told them first available. Which worked in our favor since they had a table available on the covered patio. The bigger sized parties had more of a wait so keep that in mind. Our server was great and gave us a rundown on their menu. The breakfast bowls are the popular choice-- eggs and toppings on top of a bed of home fries (yummy seasoned potatoes). She also recommended the Chef's Famous crunchy French toast which uses Captain Crunch cereal in its coating! I went with the Tijuana breakfast bowl while my husband went with the Bacon & Eggs breakfast bowl. We also got the French toast to share. Since I was a little under the weather, I went with the OJ but got a little jealous seeing the folks next to us with their bloody marys. Next time!! The food was delicious and way more than I anticipated. I am one that hates to waste but I really couldn't finish my breakfast bowl. It was huge (think pasta bowl size). On top of home fries was a bed of scrambled eggs topped with 3 bean veggie chili, shredded jalapeno jack, tomatoes and guac! OMG sooo good but very filling. My husband's meal was simple - potatoes, eggs, bacon and cheese . The French toast was tasty and better than I was expecting. Only thing that was a concern was that there are only 2 restrooms (male and female). So that means the line can back up quickly .... Overall, we had an excellent meal. This place really is as good as the reviews say. Went Saturday morning at 11AM. I knew it would be busy but we really didnt wait that long to be seated; maybe like 10 minutes.The place was packed but we were well attended and got our food quickly. We got the: Tijuana Bowl New York Style Eggs Benedict California Omelet Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice Everything was delicious, hot, and we got GENEROUS PORTIONS! Enough to take food home for later. My omelet was hearty with lots of meat (turkey, bacon), melty cheese, and super thick with lots of eggs! SO GOOD! And the orange juice was delicious all though you just get a small cup. All in all, an EXCELLENT place to go. Would definitely go back and take friends there in the future. I look forward to going there for lunch or dinner to try their other food items. I love eating in downtown areas, especially at local places that have a good vibe and menu. That being said, I was initially put off by the hostesses at DE. It was raining and the third member of our party dropped us off, so we didn't have to walk in the rain. "We can't seat you until your entire party is here," she said flatly and unappologetically. When we pointed to the door as our third arrived and said that's him, I saw an eye roll. I don't like seeing an eye roll. My other concern is that the shorts on the girls were too tight and short or they were wearing yoga crops, neither of which are appetizing to a straight lady who wants to enjoy their meal. If I wanted to go to Hooters or another kitschy bar, I would have gone there instead. Seeing young girls in their late teens and early twenties dressed like that simply didn't sit well with me. Our server was much nicer than the hostess which redeemed the dining experience a bit. My friends reassured me that the food, despite the rocky start, was well worth it. I enjoyed the Cap'n Crunch Milkshake which tasted like my childhood in a glass. The chopped bits of cereal were crunchy and the milkshake was nice and thick. I followed up with a Tampa Mule, and found it surprisingly refreshing. It was a nice local twist on the Moscow Mule. Oh how I miss having lunch here! Since I'm now in St Pete during work hours I've had to settle for visiting during other times. Every visit here has been great. Staff is always so nice and friendly. On this visit, my sister and I had a late lunch on a rare weekday off. We shared the tater hater, cause how can you not start with loaded tater tots? You know how hunger is the best seasoning? I was starving when we first got here. We drove around looking for parking for Gasparilla and after half an hour ended up back where we started and decided to pay an arm and a leg for parking. Therefore, our brunch got pushed back half an hour and having not eaten anything all day, those 30 minutes meant a lot. I got the lox breakfast bowl and my fiance got the captain crunch pancakes. When I first started eating the breakfast bowl I thought wow this is amazing! Halfway through I regained my senses and began to really asses what I was eating. It was a good portion and it is a great combination of flavors. However, overall it was too salty. Whether it was too much smoked salmon (is that even possible?) or too many capers, there just was not enough scrambled eggs and home fries to balance it out. I'm actually surprised that this bowl had too much filling (tomatoes, capers, etc.) than scrambled eggs. Overall it was still great, but could have been slightly better. I still love the idea of breakfast bowls and will be back to try a different one. Also, this kept me satisfied and filled until dinner. My fiance liked, but didn't love his captain crunch pancakes. I blame the fact that he is against almost all things healthy and did not realize the pancakes were whole wheat. I tried it and it was very sweet. He ended up leaving a pancake and a half on his plate. However, I think most people would enjoy these pancakes as long as they do not have a vendetta against whole wheat. The atmosphere is great. It has a very diner like feeling and a good number of seats outside. I can see myself going back for brunch. I love the menu and I had a hard time deciding what to get. read more

I visited Daily Eats last month for the first time for Saturday brunch. They were quite busy but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for two. Our waitress was very friendly but she was inattentive because she was so busy. After finishing our meals we waited over 15 minutes before the waitress came to ask if we were done. I wasn't impressed by their Traditionalist Benedict. But it was exactly what the menu described. I found the seating extremely uncomfortable. There was only about a 14 inch space between the back of the booth and the table. I barely had any arm room to eat. I will not be returning to the Soho location, but I am looking forward to eating at their new Sarasota location as I want to give them another shot. read more

My friend and I were visiting Tampa this weekend 4/1/18 and looked this place up on Yelp. We didn't have to wait to long on Easter Sunday for brunch. Maybe 30 mins. Our server was wonderful. We got the cranberry mimosa and strawberry mimosas. So good! I got the Californian omelet which says it comes with smashed avocado. It was guacamole. I don't like onions and cilantro in my guacamole so this was disappointing and kinda ruined part of my omelet. They need to be clearer on their menu. The home fries are thinly sliced potatoes. The food was ok. My friend got Benny the green with a side of hash browns. She enjoyed the Benny the green but the hash browns weren't hash browns. I would give zero if able. As a healthcare worker they provide "drink specials". As an overnight worker I arrive early to enjoy breakfast. It is quickly disrupted multiple times during our meal to advise that drinks cannot be provided unless everyone at the table is has an empty glass. Then mysteriously they come up with a 2 hour limit per table. They also only allow whispering at the table, and not to mention the manager refuses to acknowledge herself by name when prompted about the reasoning for our dismissal from the restaurant as a paying customer after a 12 hour shift. I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to establish an account and help my healthcare workers steer clear of this lack of consideration. We literally filled about 4-5 tables at this venue and their gracious thank you is a kick out of the door to continue to make money on the next table. Save your money and head elsewhere. There is better out there. The childish behavior of the server and manager do not deserve my business. Luckily they get to keep my 30% tip. They will need it in the long run. After finding them by searching for "breakfast" and seeing mentions of breakfast and brunch, I was disappointed to find that they had already stopped serving breakfast when I arrived around 11:00am. Fortunately, their 2-egg sandwich is served all day, so that's what I ordered. The sandwich was excellent, and I could see myself eating here again.
