wait times vary but dama grill never disappoints! Love the chicken shwarma wrap with a crisp bite and always juicy chicken. These fries are well seasoned and always a bit too abundant (and addictive!) order online if you can but it's worth the wait!

Dama Grill- I LOVE you shawarma-ch! As someone who absolutely cannot be compelled to wait in the 2 hour line at Miya Miya, I was recommended Dama Grill as an alternative by several of my friends, and it's 100% worth the hype! I showed up a few minutes after opening, and there was no line + only a 20 minute wait to get my order, which in my opinion, is a win considering my shawarma was prepared fresh to order! I decided to try their chicken combo and spicy chicken shawarma wrap, and I was absolutely BLOWN away by both! The chicken combo featured thick, juicy and flavorful grilled chicken kebabs, pita bread, fries, and pickled vegetables and peppers (although I would probably order the rice combo next time). The shawarma wrap had a grilled, crispy exterior, juicy chicken shawarma slices, as well as one of the most delicious garlic-based aioli sauces I've had, and is a definite MUST-order in my book! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the Culver City area (and come early, since I hear they sell out later in the day) for some of the BEST Mediterranean food I've had in west LA!

Been dreaming about this wrap ever since we had it! There's not much to say other than this wrap was the best I've had. So much flavor! Fries were really good as well. We drove out to try DAMA GRILL and it was so worth it! Parking in the back, a few tables to sit inside. You order on the iPad at the counter and we got our food pretty quickly. Definitely coming back!

Really excited to try out Dama Grill. Parking is limited but they have several adjacent streets with parking available. I ordered a chicken shawarma combo with fries, garlic sauce, and pickled veggies. The shawarma was juicy, sauced well, and cut into bite size pieces. Wish it was more than just one bite per piece but I understand this is how it's usually made. The sauce was nice and garlicky, and the pickled veggies gave the shawarma a good kick of acidity. And the fries were fresh and crispy. Definitely a solid shawarma restaurant.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and was blown away! Everything we tried was so good. The chicken plate was amazingly tender, the beef kebab was cooked perfectly, and the yellow rice had so much flavor. We also had the 100% strawberry lemonade, which was super fresh and the perfect drink. Definitely come experience this spot for yourself--you won't be disappointed!

The place is very nice, there are some spacious outdoor seating options as well as a few indoor seating options. The place was not that full at the time we went but it did take them quite a while to get our food out. I had a chicken wrap, a beef wrap and another spicy chicken wrap. All together it was about 50 dollars with no additional drinks or sides. All together it was three large wraps which was enough for two people. In my opinion a bit too expensive. The sauces were pretty good. I loved the creamy garlic. The beef wrap was my least favorite. The parsley and cucumber did add to the freshness but the meat felt too dry and not very flavorful. The chicken wrap was carried by the delicious sauces which made it much more juicy and flavorful. The spicy chicken one was also really good. I would definitely order that one again. The baklava was delicious too. The chicken wraps are definitely delicious but for the price and the long wait times I wouldn't make this my first choice. If you have the money and you have the time you are in for a delicious treat.

I've never seen such a horrible restaurant so overly hyped. This place is an embarrassment to Syrian food. I waited almost 30 minutes for ONE shawarma combo. Service is so slow, disorganized and customer interaction or rapport is nonexistent For almost $29, $19.69 to be exact, you would think there would be at least minimum effort put into the food. Nope. The only good thing about the combo plate were the fries and the crispy saj. That's it. Everything else was horrendous. The chicken was bland, dry, and not made like any half decent shawarma. The toum is full of mayo and so greasy and grossly wet. They "cut" the shawarma but don't even bother cutting it all the way so it becomes more of a mess when you try tearing apart the pieces and all the filling just squeezes out. They also forgot the pomegranate molasses. Seriously? I would never recommend this garbage

Wow this place is sooo good!! It definitely lives up to the hype!! We tried the famous chicken shawarma wraps and it was delicious. I asked for extra pomegranate drizzle on the side and it paired so well with the garlic sauce and the wrap. The chicken was juicy and packed in there, and the crisp on the wrap was a nice touch. The fries were good too! You order on a kiosk and the wait was around 10-15 minutes since they make it to order. There's a few tables inside and outside to eat. The service is friendly and quick. Will definitely be back!

I came here after hearing great things about Dama Grill from my friends, and I was so excited to try crispy shawarma. There is a parking lot in the back, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating here, pretty spacious. You order on a kiosk, and it took about ten minutes before we got our wraps. We sat inside to eat, and our wraps were delicious! I love the sauces they gave us too, one was toum and the other was a more sesame flavored (?). We got both the chicken and beef, but the beef won by far. It was juicy and flavored well!

Looking for shawarma in the Palms area near Culver City? This is your spot! It's been years since the last time I had some tasty shawarma. The chicken is juicy and tender, just perfect for every bite! Both the chicken shawarma and the chicken kebab are delicious. Be sure to order some fries too. I also got the falafel plate that comes with six pieces, however I found these to be a bit dry for me; I wish they were juicy. Service can be slow, depending on how busy it is. My first time here, I had to wait for 45 minutes after placing my order. The place was popping! Then my second time here, they had already sold out. Needless to say, Dama is a popular and tasty place, so plan ahead.

Tik Tok and IG got me for Sustenance Saturday, and since I was in the area, driving by and most importantly found parking, I decided to stop. There are about 4-5 casual tables inside, and more covered patio seating outside. Outside was full, inside had availability. There wasn't much of a line when I arrived late afternoon, and there was quite a line when I left maybe 30 min later. Ordering was a little confusing because you self order on a screen kiosk, but the kiosk options did not match what was on the tv screen menus hanging above the counter. I wanted the 2 chicken shawarma wraps with fries which was on the tv menu, but not at the self order kiosk. I asked the young man behind the counter and he said the 2 mini wraps were no longer available and it was only the one large wrap with fries. Ok, I guess I'll order that. I was unclear if they were out of the 2 mini wraps just that day and time, or for forever. Single wrap was a good size, and there were ton of crispy fries that I couldn't finish. The chicken was tasty, and the garlic sauce was yummy. I did not detect any of the pomegranate molasses, which to be honest is why we're all going. There was no way to order an extra side of the molasses either, so that was disappointing. Not sure where all these pictures are coming from with extra sides of garlic sauce and molasses. Wish there would be some better consistency with the orders. Wish the tv menu would match the kiosk menu. Wish the mix of one beef and one chicken shawarma wrap was available. The kitchen is very busy trying to fill orders and seemed a little overwhelmed with the recent social media popularity. Would I go back? Sure, if I was driving by and found parking. Would I wait in a long a$$ line? No Bonus: yummy wrap, lots of fries, good garlic sauce Bogus: no detectable pomegranate molasses, no way to order extra, why are they gatekeeping this

The food was great, 10/10. HOWEVER, we were told that we had to wait 45 minutes for our order and no joke ended up waiting 1 hour and thirty minutes, and they weren't even that crowded. Which is fine i guess, i was hungry so i was desperate, except that orders that were after ours were getting called, and our order was fairly small. Go at your own risk. read more

I tried this for the first time today. I live local and had high hopes that this would be a solid go to. Results were as follows. Pro's: the staff was genuinely friendly Con's: Operationally they seem completely disconnected. Out of about six people working there it seemed as though only two were really putting in any effort to take care of the customers. One of them was the guy making the food and the second guy was bussing tables and anything else that wasn't getting done. It appears as if they have no system or formula as they run around for each process of packing and preparing your food with no organization and no care about it. I placed my order to go and waited. During that time, a lady came up and placed an additional order and was served long before I was. Doesn't seem they have a good system for maintaining a workflow and an order flow to serve the customers. It was said that they get big lines, which I think is due less to the quality of the food and more to the inefficiencies and operating. There is one person preparing food and he is working off a comically small Plancha. The layout and workflow of their kitchen is an absolute disaster. Extra credit to the extension cords hanging right over where the customer counter is, which I can only assume is to accommodate the equipment on that counter. It's a very tough look and should be fixed quickly. Food: I placed my order and then waited. During the time I waited, I watched the two rotisserie with the chicken and the beef on them, not move once. Their rotisserie should be revolving so that all sides are being cooked. These things did not budge. The only time it moved was when the chef rotated it by hand in order to cut meat off of the "cooked side" obviously by the time he did that the meat was burned and dried and severely overcooked. Both the chicken and the beef, as I got a wrap of both, were cooked way beyond acceptable, and both had a grainy texture that was unpleasant. I would not get food from there again. Perhaps as they mature, they will realize the importance of delivering a fresh hot properly cooked wrap. They have a very small menu, which I think is great, but it's imperative that you execute well on that and they are not at all executing well. read more

Food is great but I've never come here without waiting literally an hour for my food. I've literally ordered it an hour and a half in advance and still had to wait over 45 minutes to eat. There's no hack to avoid not waiting in a restaurant for an hour without parking for the food. Also they've served me ice cold fries on multiple occasions. In conclusion, food is good, but not worth the head ache. I'll make this a once a year restaurant rather than a once a week restaurant read more

This place is fabulous!! It's located in the same store front as Al's Hot Chicken (which is still available, looks like they just share the same kitchen). Anyway, I got this massive chicken plate for $16, which I thought was pretty good value. It came with chicken (kebab style), fries, pickles, hummus, toum/garlic sauce, roasted onion and roasted tomato. I made my own wrap and still had half the plate left over! Chicken was nice and juicy, the hummus was pretty smooth, and the pickles were a nice contrast to the rest of the hearty meal. I'm super happy with the quality of ingredients given it's technically a fast food place. Will definitely be back! Parking isn't too bad --there's a lot behind the store (enter on Westwood Blvd and walk through the market to get to the store on Venice) or there's street parking on Venice Blvd. read more

The wraps are very good and for a reasonable cost, we ordered pickup and will be adding Dama to our mix of where to order from when we are too lazy to cook. The meat has a lot of flavor, and the wraps are very filling. The falafels are also pretty good. Don't skimp on the sauces, garlic is dank but delicious. They also give a pretty substantial amount of fries, so if your kids are fry monsters like mine, they will be happy. read more

I went here on a Saturday night. It was packed and they were trying to keep up with everyone orders. I drove 45 minutes craving the shawarma sandwich I kept seeing on IG. I *thought* I ordered shawarma. 30 minutes later my food is ready and they apologised for taking long and gave me extra sauce for free! I come back in 10 minutes later telling them they gave me the wrong order. They printed the receipt and showed me that I ordered wrong and they actually gave me the right order BUT they still offered to give me a free shawarma and a drink even though I was wrong. I felt so bad bc I got home and ate the wrong order and it was fucking amazing. Anyways I love this place and their service read more

Dama Grill is delicious !! I ordered the chicken wrap, kofta wrap, fries, and the humus falafel plate. I had to try it all! IF you are wondering what to try .., get the chicken wrap! Wow it was delicious! Everything was fantastic but the chicken wrap was extra good. I am (sort of) an Arabic food connoisseur because as an Arab American I've had my teta cooking this in its most authentic form. So trust me when I say this does not disappoint ! You will love it, and want to go back the next day. As I did. I ordered for pick up and was greeted warmly and food was ready in no time. It is a small restaurant, and the seating outdoor was actually rather pleasant. The people working were super friendly and nice. I will definitely return!! read more

Really good Syrian food. Very intense flavors in the sauces so maybe ask for those on the side unless you like big flavors. Quality of the meat / vegetables was great. Everything cooked perfectly. Al's hot chicken is in the same place so you can easily get that at the same time! Very nice people working there and easy parking. Highly recommended! read more

I went the yesterday for my birthday and I have to say the chicken shawarma was delicious and the chicken rice plate was good too but the service wasn't great it took 45 minutes to get our food and the trash cans where overflowing the beef skewer kabob in the wrap was awful tasted like raw ground beef and the where out of falafel's TicTok is over hyping this place read more

The food we ordered was delicious. I would definitely order from Dama Grill again. We ordered through Door Dash as required. We made an error and ordered the same exact items twice for takeout, not even a minute apart. We tried to call. The phone #' posted for Dama goes to a different restaurant. The 818# we found goes unanswered without any message. When we picked up our order we were told both orders were made. They said, "we saw that and thought about calling you but (shrug)...both orders are made" (2nd time they said this). We took and were charged for both orders and they were both delish: we ate them over 2 days. We did explain that none of their listed phone numbers worked...that part was disappointing, they didn't call us and there was no way to contact them hence 4 instead of 5 stars. read more

Went here on a Friday at 9pm, no line and my order still took 45 minutes. But I still liked the food and wanted to get it again.. I've been trying to order this for weeks and it's impossible to place an order online and they never answer the phone. They're on DoorDash and uber eats, yet constantly say closed. I placed an order for uber eats pickup today at 6pm with the soonest estimated pickup of 8pm. After I already wanted 2 hours, at 8:15 it says my order was cancelled! Apple Maps also says they close at 10pm, walked in at 9pm once and they said they already took their last order. It's impossible to order here, you'd be better off waiting an hour at Miya Miya on a Friday night. Foods decent but not worth the trouble here. read more

Don't be fooled by the videos online, this place is overhyped and mediocre. The food is not good despite the appearance and the staff is rude as hell. We ordered 5 items and none of it had the pomegranate molasses as described. They started arguing with us saying they put it when in fact there was none. The best chicken wrap I've ever had! Seriously!! I've eaten Mediterranean food all up and down LA - from Westside to Pasadena-- and I'm blown away by the flavors and juicy, tender chicken. Park in the back. The lighter pita for the Syrian chicken wrap was also delicious and more aromatic with a touch of pomegranate molasses for an amazing taste. Can't go wrong! I have seen ads for this place all over so I had to try it. I have been looking for a good Levantine shawarma Syrian style for the longest and I gotta say this place did not disappoint. I got both the beef and the chicken shawarma and they were both very tasty but overall I preferred the beef shawarma a lot more. The only thing I would recommend is to order 2 shawarmas if you're hungry because portions are a little small. If they make their shawarmas bigger and maybe even charge a little bit more that would be perfect. You order in the counter there are no servers really but they bring your food to your table. A good, honest restaurant and business, which is rare in LA these days. I walked down there tonight and can confirm that the place is closed and the inside is being cleared out. Not sure why, but since there have been other locations around the LA area over the past several years, maybe they're just moving again. I wish them all the best! I recently visited Dama Grill on Venice Blvd i and was blown away by their chicken plate. The chicken was perfectly marinated, incredibly juicy and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning and that delicious grilled flavor.
