wait times vary but dama grill never disappoints! Love the chicken shwarma wrap with a crisp bite and always juicy chicken. These fries are well seasoned and always a bit too abundant (and addictive!) order online if you can but it's worth the wait!

Dama Grill- I LOVE you shawarma-ch! As someone who absolutely cannot be compelled to wait in the 2 hour line at Miya Miya, I was recommended Dama Grill as an alternative by several of my friends, and it's 100% worth the hype! I showed up a few minutes after opening, and there was no line + only a 20 minute wait to get my order, which in my opinion, is a win considering my shawarma was prepared fresh to order! I decided to try their chicken combo and spicy chicken shawarma wrap, and I was absolutely BLOWN away by both! The chicken combo featured thick, juicy and flavorful grilled chicken kebabs, pita bread, fries, and pickled vegetables and peppers (although I would probably order the rice combo next time). The shawarma wrap had a grilled, crispy exterior, juicy chicken shawarma slices, as well as one of the most delicious garlic-based aioli sauces I've had, and is a definite MUST-order in my book! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the Culver City area (and come early, since I hear they sell out later in the day) for some of the BEST Mediterranean food I've had in west LA!

Been dreaming about this wrap ever since we had it! There's not much to say other than this wrap was the best I've had. So much flavor! Fries were really good as well. We drove out to try DAMA GRILL and it was so worth it! Parking in the back, a few tables to sit inside. You order on the iPad at the counter and we got our food pretty quickly. Definitely coming back!

Really excited to try out Dama Grill. Parking is limited but they have several adjacent streets with parking available. I ordered a chicken shawarma combo with fries, garlic sauce, and pickled veggies. The shawarma was juicy, sauced well, and cut into bite size pieces. Wish it was more than just one bite per piece but I understand this is how it's usually made. The sauce was nice and garlicky, and the pickled veggies gave the shawarma a good kick of acidity. And the fries were fresh and crispy. Definitely a solid shawarma restaurant.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and was blown away! Everything we tried was so good. The chicken plate was amazingly tender, the beef kebab was cooked perfectly, and the yellow rice had so much flavor. We also had the 100% strawberry lemonade, which was super fresh and the perfect drink. Definitely come experience this spot for yourself--you won't be disappointed!

The place is very nice, there are some spacious outdoor seating options as well as a few indoor seating options. The place was not that full at the time we went but it did take them quite a while to get our food out. I had a chicken wrap, a beef wrap and another spicy chicken wrap. All together it was about 50 dollars with no additional drinks or sides. All together it was three large wraps which was enough for two people. In my opinion a bit too expensive. The sauces were pretty good. I loved the creamy garlic. The beef wrap was my least favorite. The parsley and cucumber did add to the freshness but the meat felt too dry and not very flavorful. The chicken wrap was carried by the delicious sauces which made it much more juicy and flavorful. The spicy chicken one was also really good. I would definitely order that one again. The baklava was delicious too. The chicken wraps are definitely delicious but for the price and the long wait times I wouldn't make this my first choice. If you have the money and you have the time you are in for a delicious treat.

I've never seen such a horrible restaurant so overly hyped. This place is an embarrassment to Syrian food. I waited almost 30 minutes for ONE shawarma combo. Service is so slow, disorganized and customer interaction or rapport is nonexistent For almost $29, $19.69 to be exact, you would think there would be at least minimum effort put into the food. Nope. The only good thing about the combo plate were the fries and the crispy saj. That's it. Everything else was horrendous. The chicken was bland, dry, and not made like any half decent shawarma. The toum is full of mayo and so greasy and grossly wet. They "cut" the shawarma but don't even bother cutting it all the way so it becomes more of a mess when you try tearing apart the pieces and all the filling just squeezes out. They also forgot the pomegranate molasses. Seriously? I would never recommend this garbage

Wow this place is sooo good!! It definitely lives up to the hype!! We tried the famous chicken shawarma wraps and it was delicious. I asked for extra pomegranate drizzle on the side and it paired so well with the garlic sauce and the wrap. The chicken was juicy and packed in there, and the crisp on the wrap was a nice touch. The fries were good too! You order on a kiosk and the wait was around 10-15 minutes since they make it to order. There's a few tables inside and outside to eat. The service is friendly and quick. Will definitely be back!

I came here after hearing great things about Dama Grill from my friends, and I was so excited to try crispy shawarma. There is a parking lot in the back, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating here, pretty spacious. You order on a kiosk, and it took about ten minutes before we got our wraps. We sat inside to eat, and our wraps were delicious! I love the sauces they gave us too, one was toum and the other was a more sesame flavored (?). We got both the chicken and beef, but the beef won by far. It was juicy and flavored well!

Looking for shawarma in the Palms area near Culver City? This is your spot! It's been years since the last time I had some tasty shawarma. The chicken is juicy and tender, just perfect for every bite! Both the chicken shawarma and the chicken kebab are delicious. Be sure to order some fries too. I also got the falafel plate that comes with six pieces, however I found these to be a bit dry for me; I wish they were juicy. Service can be slow, depending on how busy it is. My first time here, I had to wait for 45 minutes after placing my order. The place was popping! Then my second time here, they had already sold out. Needless to say, Dama is a popular and tasty place, so plan ahead.

Tik Tok and IG got me for Sustenance Saturday, and since I was in the area, driving by and most importantly found parking, I decided to stop. There are about 4-5 casual tables inside, and more covered patio seating outside. Outside was full, inside had availability. There wasn't much of a line when I arrived late afternoon, and there was quite a line when I left maybe 30 min later. Ordering was a little confusing because you self order on a screen kiosk, but the kiosk options did not match what was on the tv screen menus hanging above the counter. I wanted the 2 chicken shawarma wraps with fries which was on the tv menu, but not at the self order kiosk. I asked the young man behind the counter and he said the 2 mini wraps were no longer available and it was only the one large wrap with fries. Ok, I guess I'll order that. I was unclear if they were out of the 2 mini wraps just that day and time, or for forever. Single wrap was a good size, and there were ton of crispy fries that I couldn't finish. The chicken was tasty, and the garlic sauce was yummy. I did not detect any of the pomegranate molasses, which to be honest is why we're all going. There was no way to order an extra side of the molasses either, so that was disappointing. Not sure where all these pictures are coming from with extra sides of garlic sauce and molasses. Wish there would be some better consistency with the orders. Wish the tv menu would match the kiosk menu. Wish the mix of one beef and one chicken shawarma wrap was available. The kitchen is very busy trying to fill orders and seemed a little overwhelmed with the recent social media popularity. Would I go back? Sure, if I was driving by and found parking. Would I wait in a long a$$ line? No Bonus: yummy wrap, lots of fries, good garlic sauce Bogus: no detectable pomegranate molasses, no way to order extra, why are they gatekeeping this

Really good shawarma stopped by Dama Grill and tried their shawarma. The meat was juicy, well seasoned, and grilled perfectly with that slight crisp on the edges. You can tell it's marinated properly the flavor goes deep, not just on the outside. The wrap itself was fresh and warm, not dry or falling apart. The garlic cause tastes amazing, and the toppings were balanced not overloaded, not skimpy. Everything just worked together. If you're craving legit shawarma that actually tastes authentic and not bland, Dama Grill is definitely worth it. I'll be going back. read more

Ate here las week.Good food, i enjoyed my order. However, I am giving 2 stars due to slow service and arrogant attitude. You guys are in the hospitality and customer service industry. You have an open style kitchen. Treat every customer the same and smile. Make them feel welcome in your establishment And i don't understand why it takes so long to make the orders. This is my favorite restaurant in Culver City - but something has to be done about the wait time. No urgency from staff - and it seems as though they're training newbies without support during rushes, Maybe that's the quality that makes it so good - but I feel like downtime could be used to prep 10-20 wraps in prep of orders. The menu is like 5 items. And with an autonomous order system - I think the front of house dude could be helping make food. Their wait is so bad they've turned off mobile orders to try anc pre order in advance! I can't return until they either raise their price dramatically or raise their urgency or raise their scale. read more

Food is really good! Ive had their Chicken wrap Chicken shawarma wrap Beef Kofta wrap Now I've always had to wait 30 mins every time. They might also prioritize Dine in as today I noticed 4 people who ordered after me got their food first. They were all almost done by the time I got my chicken wrap. So give yourself some time, or order pick up through grub hub which is what I'm going to do from now on. read more

The Dama has quickly become one of our go-to spots! What I love about this place is the self-service style there's very limited interaction, which makes the whole experience easy and stress-free. You can just focus on the food and vibe without feeling rushed. Now, be prepared to wait a long time because this place gets busy but trust me, the food is worth it. Every visit has been worth the wait. The food itself is a solid five stars. We've been back multiple times already, and honestly, the flavors speak for themselves. So far, we've only tried the chicken shawarma, but wow from the very first bite to the last, every flavor is bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. My adventure partner and I usually share the 2-chicken plate, and it's the perfect portion for the two of us. If you're into amazing food that doesn't need any frills to shine, this is the spot. Used to love this place but unfortunately it wasn't what it used to be even a few months ago. The wait was extremely long--over 45 minutes for a small order. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with a separate side of fries. The fries portion was unbelievably tiny for $6, less than a third of what it used to be; and for some reason, this time there were two different types of fries in our packaging (one of which was very dry). The chicken shawarma is tasty but they didn't give us the pomegranate molasses or the pepper paste. The restaurant also did not have any water in the soda machine or water dispenser. Really bummed about the decline in quality and will not be returning. read more

Food was excellent, but they know they're popular and they refuse to expedite the wait time or food-making process at all. They're the kind of owners that take pride in a line out the door and they do nothing to ensure that the litany of people waiting for their food receive their order in a timely manner. EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN LINE HERE HAD TO GO UP TO THE COUNTER TO ASK ABOUT THE STATUS OF THEIR ORDER. It's incredibly disorganized, and they are going to be keeping it that way. It's only worth it to order this online and get delivery, the in-person experience is too frustrating to come again for dine-in. I've been waiting for over 30 minutes for a single combo of the beef shawarma, and there's 5 employees here in the kitchen just talking to each other / flirting / laughing / joking. Literally don't come here. The food is good but it's not worth the pain of being here in-person. read more

A decent falafel spot, it's located at the storefront of Al's hot chicken. The falafel was okay, it didn't have a strong herb flavor but it was crispy. For $10, not the worst and I like that it's right by a metro bike stop so easy to get to. The hot sauce and toum was also okay, wish the hot sauce was spicy and the toum would be better with less oil in it. Service was really nice, the owner was very friendly and prompt. I asked for some hot sauce and he came out with it immediately. Ambiance is just a regular storefront. Overall, I would go again if I'm in the area since it's fast and not bad. read more

Chicken, flat bread and the service was good. Loved the flavor of the meat. But the garlic paste was essentially all mayo with a little garlic kick - the authentic toom I'm used to is simply garlic, Olive oil, and lemon. To me, the garlic paste is what brings it all together so that being what it was almost ruined the meal for me. read more

Sah El Nom Falafel is a shared establishment with Al's Hot Chicken located on Venice Blvd in Culver City. It's kind of hard to find the location since it's a small window at Al's Hot Chicken but you will see it once you arrive there. They have an indoor dining area as well as patio dining. I love they have a self-checkout system since the menu is limited. The food is very delicious! They're famous for their falafel items but I ended up ordering a chicken kabob wrap and it had so much flavor and it was spicy. The workers are very friendly and very polite. I was waiting for my order and the man working there hand delivered my order to where I was sitting in the patio. He asked me if I needed extra napkins. I love the fact everyone working had a great big smile on their face. Pricing is very affordable. I love the food here and will be coming back here again soon to try the other items. read more

The shawarma is solid, I think it gives Aras a run for its money in terms of taste although they are significantly smaller. But it's also a much closer drive for me lol. Prices are good, $12-something for a singular shawarma and it's a touch over $14 if you want the fries too. Even when there's a wait, the food always arrives within 10-15 mins. Only downside is the parking I once had to park on the street about 10 minutes away lol read more

Ordered online. My husband waited half hour and went to pick up. When he got there it was busy. He waited an over an hour to get 4 wraps. People who were coming in that were regulars were ordering there, paying and getting served before him. No joke it took an hour and a half to get served 4 shawarma wraps. Will never go back. If you like strong flavors, you'll love it. Some skewers are rich, so rice is a good addition. Service was excellent. Our server kept moving the cooked skewers so they wouldn't burn. The warm, cozy atmosphere also makes it a great late-night spot to catch up with friends. Great value, great food, and I'd definitely come back.

The highlights of the meal were definitely the salad and the grilled tomato; the pomegranate seeds in the rice were also a nice touch. However, the meats weren't to my taste--the chicken had an odd aftertaste, and while the beef was better, neither really worked for me. Adding the provided sumac and lemon helped, but I wouldn't order the kebabs again. Additionally, the hummus lacked creaminess, and the pita tasted like it was mass-produced rather than fresh. A quick note for future visitors: they are currently having issues with their card reader and are requesting cash or Zelle. It felt a little unusual to be rung up on a register only to pay via Zelle, but it wasn't a major deal. I recently visited Dama Grill on Venice Blvd i and was blown away by their chicken plate. The chicken was perfectly marinated, incredibly juicy and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning and that delicious grilled flavor. I ordered it as a wrap and a plate -- both were fantastic, especially paired with their fresh garlic sauce, pickles, and warm bread. I've had Dama a couple of months ago and it was probably the best shawarma I've ever had in LA, it's recently been going viral which I'm very happy for them.You have a A line wrapped around your restaurant, the inside is completely full to the point where you're literally face to face with other people and have to push yourself in and you have 4 EMPLOYEES ONLY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Was really hyped for this. Not sure how they got 4.4 stars. Falafel was stale and had no flavor. fries were old and stale. Tahini sauce was not good at all. Hummus came with one bread. Ordered chicken shawarma but got whole pieces of chicken in the sandwich so pretty sure they got that wrong. Must be that west side hype. Please fix your falafel recipe. read more
