Saw the sign of this store many months ago when we drive up and down Spring Mountain Road, but I never had a chance to stop by until now. I usually buy plain banh mi baguette , but decided to try one of the special loaf . It is $6.5 each and the plain banh mi is $1.5 each . The store is pretty clean and it was really empty when we got here, but I am sure they got a lot of to go orders as I heard the boss was picking up phone to take big to go order. We thought we'd grab a bite, the prices were reasonable but there was almost no meat in either the two sandwiches we bought. The meatball sandwich only had one meatball in a 6-7" sandwich and the crispy roast pork had hardly any very small cubes of pork. The veggies were fine as was the bun. Also the restaurant had no clean tables, we had to brush off food debris at around 1:30 in the afternoon. No one was bussing the other tables that were empty and dirty. You can safely ignore any bad reviews about this place. I have tried pretty much every banh mi in town, and also those in Little Saigon in OC, and I once spent 3 weeks in Vietnam. I tried the #1 banh mi with cold cuts and it was delicious. The bread is crispy but thin and not dry. The veggies are super fresh. It includes pate, so it is more on the tratraditional side of banh mi. I loved it. Don't hesitate to try Dan Han. We are very lucky to have a sandwich option like this in Las Vegas. read more

5/16/23 Order and pay at counter. Take a seat if dining in. Ordered Bun Bo Hue and Bo Ko. A bit of a wait for food to come out and both entrees did not come out together. Flavor for both were good; in fact better than former Dakao. Presentation was good. But, the portion sizes were small, kid-size even. The to go foods did not adhere to food safety standards. That stuff should be refrigerated. Food spoils easily in the heat. We live in the desert and summers here are brutal. Particularly when the air conditioning wasn't sufficient to dine in comfortably. The gentleman man behind the counter was very nice and answered questions that I had about their items. I got the grilled pork, pork meatloaf. The grilled pork had a lot of pieces the only bad thing is there was alittle too much mayo on it. The pork meatloaf was very tasty it had pate in it along the mayo. The bread they used is like a sub type of bread not a long baguette type of bread. They also offered other items there but I didn't try them yet. The offer they have now is buy 4 get 1 sandwich free. Finally decided to try this place out because I'm still on a hunt for the best banh mi in town. The shop have several seating areas if you opt to dine in. I strictly went in for the banh mi and the menu that they had on display was just the different banh mi options. I had no idea they also served pho. But the other customers who arrived after us ordered it. Where was it on the menu?! Idk. Anyway, the man who helped me was really nice and took his time with my order making sure it was correct. If I was reviewing strictly on service, I'd give him 5 stars. But the sandwich itself was ok. I felt that the bread was too much. I ordered banh mi ( dac Viet, heo quay, thit nướng), chao long, bun bo hue, and bun rieu and got an assortment of desserts and snacks they had ready made. Nothing has been bad. Is this place a Michelin guide experience? No. But it is delicious and run by a sweet Vietnamese man. Service is just two people and some may say is "slow" but I found it comforting. "Where's the meat?!?" Ordered their #1 Original with everything and #5 Pork Belly. I felt I tasted more bread than anything and I even asked for extra veggies. Barely any meat in either sandwiches. Rice with banana was bland and flavorless. Egg rolls ($1.75 each!) are cold, stale and chewy. The guy at the counter was nice and place was decently clean. Dan Han needs to be a little more generous on the cold cuts, don't sell cold egg rolls and desserts need improvement I don't usually leave reviews however, I was very disappointed since I do eat these sandwiches a lot in CA. read more
