I had taken it to other repair shops previously and always wound up paying $$$ for what I thought were routine issues (like I'd think new fuse and it would be new fuse plus oil change plus six other things that just had to be done). I was here 7 months back, to replace a collapsed motor mount. The driver side motor mount on my car is now starting to give out. Attempting to plan ahead this time, I went online & found the part I need for $50. I called & asked if I can provide the part if they can install. They stated they do not install customer parts. This was very, very, very, disappointing to hear that regardless if the part is new they would not do this. As they were initially very helpful. They charged me $479 for the original installation $300 for parts the $179 for labor. Which I understand, I was unaware of the issue & needed assistance in figuring out what it was. Sorry to see the inflation for a part.... The greed is real. I will not be returning due to the +$250 increase in parts. 7/13 turns out it was not my transmission mount. It ended up being the part that Dave installed. It actually falls within the time for the warranty (1 year or 12,000 miles) however, I have decided not to go back in. As at the end of the day I will probably be back here in 7 months due to poor quality in parts replaced in my vehicle read more

OMG!!! Dave was the nicest guy, he talked with me for a bit while my car was getting checked out. He was very friendly and welcoming. I had taken my car in because it was making this awful rattling noise. I was so stressed out because who likes to fork out money to pay for car problems. Anyway turns out it was a simple little fix, something came Lose. So his guys put it back in place and called it good. He didn't charge me a thing. When I offered a tip or coffee he declined. Dave is a real people person, very chatty. This is sarcasm. But he can churn out a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation AND ADD AIR TO THE TIRES on short notice quickly and for a decent price which is what I needed. I am not stoked on the area although there are worse places to be besides Chinatown-adjacent. The emphasis on oil change, tire rotation AND air added is due to a weird experience at Big O Tires on Rainbow and Arby which is what sent me back to Yelp and to Dave's Auto. For the same or more than Dave charges in dollars and four times as long in time, I wasn't confident they actually changed the oil, was 100% sure they did not rotate the tires (most cars now digitally display tire pressure so...) And they refused to add air to the tires for aprc. $80. BIG O TIRES doesn't add air to the tires? So, anyway, thanks, Dave for doing what you said you would at a fair price, quickly and for the great conversation. After living in Las Vegas for the past 20 years, I've had many vehicle's and have defiantly had lots work done at many different garages. I luckily found Dave after being un happy with my previous shop. Last year he properly diagnosed my Vans problems correctly and got me a fair price a couple hundred less than other shop. I had a wonderful experience with this shop. I had been having trouble with my cars battery keeping a charge. So naturally I did some research and came to the conclusion I needed a new alternator. I was pretty bummed at spending the money on my car since I just spent 700 on it over the holidays. However it needed to be done so I took it in. Got home and got a call from Tony. I immediately thought the worse thinking the problem was worse than I thought. Tony, such an upstanding man, told me it was not my alternator but faulty wiring and that it would cost a lot less than what was originally discussed. Ok Guys!this is the TRuest true update review. So a week and a half ago, I brought in my nissan rogue 2016 for a brakepad job, now it had a clicking sound whenever I hit the brakes and a clunking dragging sound upon stepping on accelerator slowly(clunk sound)speeding up(disappears upon speed up). But still signifies something went wrong on the installation of the brake pads(front&rear)$400+ charge by the way. Brought it back to the shop, and indeed Dave noticed clicking. Upon rectifying the issue, I asked him, what went wrong?HE said "The ROTORS"seemed to be the problem and we don't know how and why, so we changed it. HUH?!!?You see guys, prior to me bringing the nissan to his shop, I had it examined in the dealership NissanAUTO and told me that brake pads are 1mm rear/front and needs replacing and has no other probs with Rotors and such, but as Fee is higher in dealership, i opted to "TRY" his shop. Hmmm...so when DAve told me that they replaced the "Rotors" as well as that might be causing it and could not figure out how it happened.Geeezzz, for a MAsTer MechaNic to say that, how would you have FAith the next time you may want to bring in a car? It lost me work hours for a simple brake pad job installation that could have been done in a dealership with a little higher fee. Tsk,tsk..no more. read more
