Came here yesterday and the food was horrible. I'm assuming it's just this location, because I've been to multiple locations in OC/LA, and never had an issue. But yesterday the chicken they gave me was so bad!!! Will not be returning to this restaurant, and will take a break from Dave's because of this horrible experience. Locations small and little hole in the wall it's clean but that's not much. Ordered the Mac and cheese and a 2 tender mild combo. Do not go here the tenders are very powdery. The flavor all comes from the sauce which is like a sub par canes. Service was fine. Chicken was not well flavored. The temperature was fine as well as spice level. The fries had a decent crunch but flavor was overdone by too much salt. Toast with it came cold and very floppy. The Mac and cheese was bland and empty flavored. Taste like watered down Kraft. If you want a place to get real good chicken, go to Clydes or go to Hotties, flavors there are much better and better priced. The tenders here are so small. Go to the blaze pizza across the street you'll get a better deal. read more

Food was terrible. I've been craving good hott and spicy chicken for a few days. Came here to try it out because it popped up in my mind. I ordered two chicken tenders with medium spice. The chicken was only seasoned on ONE side of both pieces of chicken. There was hardly any sauce dripping from the chicken. It wasn't flavorful at all and the oil the chicken is cooked in tasted old. Placed an order for a #2 at 11:20 am and watched as they handed out postmate order after order until finally receiving my order (after getting up and asking what was taking so long) at 11:46 after I presumed they forgot or handed out my order ? This is my third time at this location and have had this same exact experience whenever coming here but I figured I'd give it another try since the location is brand new . I'm a huge DHC fan and have been a loyal customer since the long lines in Korea town were a thing. I've tried many locations now and all have been consistent, but the Fullerton location is just not good. It's the closest to my house, which is disappointing, but I'll drive for good food. I bought tenders to go here about a month ago and they didn't give me any sauce, which I only found out at home. I called back that day and they said to come pick up a free tender (one tender for missing sauce on like 8, but anyway...) cut to today. I ordered 3 sliders and fries, and when I went in to pick up, I asked about my free tender. The manager said because it was over 2 weeks they have no record of it. I see this might be a problem for this location so here's a tip: maybe start recording these incidents?? But also, when I initially complained, no one mentioned an expiration on what I was owed. Back to today, I came home with the sandwiches and the bread seems off, like it's not the normal buns. The chicken was soggy and not crispy like it should be, and hot was barely hot. I didn't like my experience there, and looks like they don't care about their clients. I purchased food at Dave's chicken last 3/12/2022, and when i paid i put my card in the machine and i saw that my payment said approved, but the cashire didn't give me my ticket, and she just stares at the screen and tell me it didnt went through, i grab my phone and check on my banck app and im seeing that my order was charge, i show her my screen and she call other person just to tell me the same, and she can not do anything about It, that their system didn't show my purchased and i hace to pay again. I've been to multiple locations and this one just didn't have "it". Not only were the spice levels off from other visits to other locations, but the checkout experience wasn't nearly as streamlined. They had only one employee working both the register and expediting the food out to customers, while you could clearly see some extra employees chatting in the back. The cashier would ring one person up, then switch into gloves and expedite out 2-3 orders before coming back, rising up another, and rinse and repeat. The ordering process itself took 10 minutes. Then my food came out cold? Other locations I've raved about and recommended to friends....this one, keep off your list. read more

Drove by this location so many times hoping it would hit the stop and be a gold mine next to home, unfortunately only a tier above Clyde's hot chicken off harbor, but did not meeet the greatness that was LA's Dave's hot chicken. Gf was also unimpressed, servers were nice and attentive but the food was a bit of a dissapointment along with the microwaved mac and cheese. I got the #3-lite mild. The slider had very little of the slaw on it. My husbands had none. The chicken was almost too spicy for me. If you can't tolerate a lot of cayenne, go with no spice. I wasn't a fan of the sauce although I couldn't place the flavors in it because of the overwhelming cayenne in the chicken. The fries felt like generic frozen crinkle fries. After not getting my order correct , the manager Katherine tries to take my order back and make a slider out of the chicken they had served meanwhile my party was enjoying their meal , told her that is a health code violation and all I would like is one slider , she said smugly that they will throw my order away and make another sandwich , I asked to keep it as not to waste it and she said "we don't give food away " I then said rather than waste it I will purchase a slider and take the other breast home, she said you have to pay for it first . I told her please have it made and I will come in and pay , meanwhile my party has almost finished their meal while this is going on . I walked in to pay and asked if my slider was ready and was told they will make when I pay , now normally I don't waste my time with reviews but holy untrained terrible management .
