Late night eats (after 11pm) with drinks is scarce in Santa Fe. One of the local host from the restaurant we were trying to get food at directed us to here since their kitchen has already started cleaning. It was packed and they just don't let you in to control the crowd. You wait at the door after you tell them how many is in your party. This way they control the crowd. This is a bar, it's not a very New Mexican food type place. They offer wings, burgers, quesadilla etc. you know, hand held bar foods but I'm not complaining because they have a whole page menu just for the margaritas. The food is ok but the star is the drink. I only had one since I was just mostly hungry than wanting to drink. I had their Silvercoin Margarita made with their locally owned Silvercoin Tequilla, topped with jalapeño marinated/pickled in tequila and finished with red and green chile salted rim for a hint of spice. Stuffed Green Chili Cheeseburger is the bomb!!! Wow! I can see why they are known for this juicy extravaganza! Stuffed with Autumn roasted green chilies, smokey bacon, and gorgonzola cheese, every bite was a burst of flavor. It came with a side of house-made green chili relish, a bit too sweet for me, but hubby liked it. And the fries are amazing! How do they do that?? Crispy and flakey on the outside, soft and tender on the inside! I like mine with mayo. We are staying at the Inn of the Governors (more on this great place on their review) and got our food to go, although as hotel guests we could have dined poolside, and it was made up very quickly. The price was $13, and in my opinion well worth it. I wish I were living in Santa Fe and could taste more of their menu. And I've heard their house margarita is famous! read more

During COVID-19... this was a great place to just get out of the house but keep good social distancing! The chicken tenders are huge! And super amazing! The fries are the bomb!!! I came here during COVID times. They were great. Took my temperature before entering. Employees wore masks and were hospitable. They have a large variety of margaritas. My parents and I went to Del Charro last night and wow! We absolutely loved it! First, our server was amazing and made our day! Very energetic and made a great impression on our first day here in Santa Fe. The food was wonderful! My parents both got the chicken sandwich, one with fries and one with coleslaw. They both said it was delicious! I tried both the fries and the slaw and they were just divine! I had the blue corn chicken enchiladas... best enchiladas I have EVER had! It was smothered in green chiles, tomatoes, and cilantro. It came with refried beans and rice. The refried beans had a little spice to them, it was to die for! I also had the prickly pear margarita and it was so good! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get some good New Mexican cuisine! read more

Stopped by this cute, little cozy place the other day after exploring the art museum and I was pleasantly surprised. I forgot to snap a pic of my drink, but the blue electric margarita was perfect (strong too!) I had to try the blue corn enchiladas and they did not disappoint. Not too spicy but still very flavorful. The refried beans were a little too salty, but no biggie. I liked the very comfortable and relaxed seating of the place. Tried this place out today after hearing so many rave reviews about it and one thing I'll say is that their margaritas pack a killer punch! I tried the hibiscus pineapple Margarita and 3 sips in I was ready to shake my money maker, lawd! I had the Santa Fe tostada with salmon and it was okay but I wouldn't order it again, it had way to many greens for my taste, it would have been nice if it had some rice mixed in it. My husband had the frito pie and it was amazing, I would order that next time. All in all I enjoyed it and I would visit again just for the drinks and frito pie alone. read more

Honestly, the best high test margaritas around. 2 house margs can almost lay a guy out. Chips, guacamole and salsa hit the spot. I'm vegan so I can't speak to the rest of the menu but they did have a bean burger I believe. Never got a chance to try it. Local spot with great prices! Place is pretty packed during nighttime. We did a walk by on Friday night and the line was out the door so we decided to keep walking then decided to give it a try again on Saturday night, it's one of the few places that stay late (after 9pm) in this sleepy town. We first were going to sit at a table and waited over 5 minutes to get it clean, got annoyed and walked out. Then realized there's not many options and turned around and sat at the bar. Started off with a "fresh" margarita.... still too sweet for me. Then we ordered a local Santa Fe wine which was pretty good. We asked the bartender what she recommended to try as we are buying all the hype that we have to try New Mexican food so she suggested we order the Red and Green Chile Posole which was impressive! The flavors were on point and had a slight spice. We then also ordered Blue Corn Chicken Enchiladas also very good but my favorite was the soup at this spot. The service was great at the bar and we enjoyed the Latin music they were playing in the background. And to top it off... it's affordable! Would recommend this spot to all tourists read more

Stay away from the burgers! Easily the worst I've had in Santa Fe. Mine was overdone, the lettuce was rotten on one of the corners, the onions were overly charred with a balsamic vinegar dressing that was all wrong. The sweet potato fries were soggy and limp. Paid over $40 for two of them including a 20% tip. Not only that, but I had parked on the street and called in to get the order dropped off, and they never came. When I called back after waiting a while, they said "oh, my boss said I couldn't drop off in a non-designated area." That's fine but you were just going to let me wait forever? You had my number and couldn't tell me? Get it together, you guys! I know things get busy but if you can't make quality food or give good customer service don't charge so much! read more

This was the first stop on our Santa Fe Margarita trail. The margarita was spicy and delicious (IMO). It was a generous size as well! The bar is relaxed and not pretentious, which we appreciate. The service was great and we had nice seats next to the fireplace which added to the ambiance. I only gave it a 4 instead of 5 because the chairs need to be cleaned more often. I wiped mine off with a napkin and it seems like they aren't thoroughly wiped down much. But other than that, a very enjoyable experience. read more

Concierge recommended this place last of 3 so we went here. S.O. ordered the local marble red ale and we both enjoyed it. He liked his seafood tacos, I ate his rice n black beans. I chose the NM green chile chicken chowder. It was so good, creamy, spicy, crunchy chips and chunky pies of chicken. I'd get it again. I was invited here by a friend who actually lives in Santa Fe (I'm in the abq area). So I had never heard of this bar ever and oddly enough my boyfriend was telling me about their margaritas right before I got invited (odd coincidence). I wanted to try this margarita for myself so I ended up going. I ordered a green Chile cheeseburger with fries. It was good! But not five stars good. As for the margarita.... excellent! It came with the remaining in a shaker on the side. It was perfectly blended and strong without being overly strong. The price for these drinks is amazing for the amount you get. All in all the appetizers (tapas) were good and paired well with the alcoholic drinks. I would recommend this place to a friend who is looking for a place for a snack and alcoholic drink as they have many options of local and commercial beers on tap as well.
