I ordered the Cesar salad and the salmon as part of my meal and they were both very delicious. They did not bring any bread though which I hear is delicious at Del Frisco's. In addition, one member of my party ordered a baked potato and the staff completely forgot to bring it - luckily we were not charged for it. Tonight my husband and I selected Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on 1/1/2025, anticipating an evening of fine dining and exemplary service. While certain aspects of the experience met our expectations, there were significant lapses in management and customer service that warrant attention. We ordered two steaks and a salmon entrée to share. When our entrees arrived, both steaks were undercooked. Our waiter, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and attentiveness, promptly took the plates--despite their scorching temperature--back to the kitchen to address the issue. However, when the steaks were returned, the preparation was still incorrect. Rather than send the meals back again and prolong the disruption, my husband and I decided to exchange the steaks between ourselves and proceed with our celebration. Throughout the evening, the waitstaff, including our server and other attendants, was incredibly apologetic and attentive. However, no manager approached us during the meal to acknowledge or address the issue. As Landry Select Club members, we are accustomed to a higher standard of service at Del Frisco's, where management typically takes initiative to personally rectify any guest concerns. At the conclusion of the meal, as we were leaving, I expressed to one of the waiters my desire to speak with the manager. It was only then that Matty, the manager, finally appeared. When I informed him of the issues we encountered, his response was dismissive and defensive. He initially claimed ignorance of any problems, which was concerning given that one of the steaks had already been comped. Upon being reminded of this, he shifted his narrative, stating that he was unaware we wanted to speak with him--an unacceptable response in a professional dining environment. Matty's demeanor was neither apologetic nor accommodating. Instead, he displayed a mean-spirited and defensive attitude that fell well below the standards of effective and courteous customer service. His behavior also raised concerns about his ability to manage both patrons and employees with integrity. Given his temperament, I would advise the staff to be aware of potential retaliatory conduct, as outlined under Texas Penal Code § 36.06, Texas Labor Code Chapter 21, and Texas Statutes, Chapter 554, which protect employees from actions such as demotions, negative performance evaluations, or other retaliatory measures following legitimate complaints. While the waitstaff exhibited commendable professionalism, the managerial failure left a lasting negative impression. High Dollar Dinner not so good. Well the wife and I went out for date. This Thursday night we tried the Del Frisco in Downtown Dallas. The atmosphere was nice, and the inside was very beautiful. My wife was first to walk to the both and ask for table young lady was like do you have a reservation my wife reply no. Young lady was checking for available table but other hosted walked up and told us the next reservation at 8:30 there an opening . Then she check the watch and said it 8:18 and could we wait at the bar until 8:30 . So we went to bar and sat for 12 minutes and they called us to be seated, so we basically we sat at bar and watched four tables stay empty. Well we chalked that one up like Okay. The waiter was fantastic and was very attentive. The food was not best my steak had be sent back twice and the crab meat on top tastes like rubber. The steak I wanted it cooked medium well and it was cooked rare and when finally came back it well done. I paid 90 dollars for steak not cooked right. Then on top of that the load bake potatoe had a little butter and cheese. It look like a bake potato you buy at freezer section at a store. My wife plate was okay she said. So break it down I feel that waste $286.00 dollars and night out at this restaurant having wait for awhile when four tables was open and food not cooked right. This has been one of the best dinners that I have had are service was great and the food was great. The only thing that threw me off was the bread it wasn't very good but other than that it was all great. I would have given this a 4-4/12 for ambience and waitress. Unfortunately my Wagyu fell short of expectations, first it came out RAW and then they must have reheated it and it came out to a medium plus instead of a perfect medium. It was still good for what it was but not up to par for a Wagyu experience. The dessert was delicious, perfect, butter cake at its finest. Last, I had an issue with my table being wobbly, my water spilled and my waitress kinda took some bar napkins wiped it a little bit and left the napkins wet on the table, it was off putting BUT I liked her she was nice. Let start with location. It's uptown it was easy to get to. Parking garage is underneath and they validate so no complaints there. We had reservations at 5:30 and as soon as our party was all there we sat down immediately. I love to get names but I completely forgot our waitress name but she was nice and attentive. Another Landry's restaurant with phenomenal service. We dined pretty late after attending a great concert near by. Host and hostess were very welcoming. Our waiter Paul provided my party with attentive service. He and his trainee shadow was welcoming with a great personality. They took great care of us since we were the last reservation of the night. Food grade along with service was A+. The steaks are succulent with great seasoning. I had the 26oz Prime Rib Eye with garlic or cajun shrimp on top with a tasty mashed potatoes. Morton's was my favorite steakhouse in Dallas. Since they closed a few months ago, we decided to give Del Frisco's a try. We ordered two glasses of wine and were "upsold" to 9 ounces instead of 6. We had the shrimp cocktail which was good. We both ordered the filet which was REALLY charred and made it taste as if it had been burned. The baked potato was nothing special, and the asparagus was mostly tasteless. Dessert portion was tiny, about 3 bites, (it was restaurant week), but the dessert was pretty good. Delicious. That sums up our recent visit to Del Frisco's. Based on others suggestions including our server, we opted for the delicious ribeye and it didn't disappoint. So tender and flavorful - melt in your mouth deliciousness. We were dining with a large group so our appetizers and sides were served family style - with the servers dishing up the options. We had the mashed potatoes, creamy greens and green beans. All were great but I really liked the flavor of the potatoes and creamy greens. For desert I opted for the butter cake. Wow! The flavor and texture of it took me so many places from cookies to cakes from my distant past and beautiful memories. The service was impeccable. Went here for my boyfriend and I's anniversary and we were not disappointed! our server, Jeff, did an amazing job on helping us choose what to eat and took care of us throughout the whole night! Food was delicious and my boyfriend and I even took it home and ate it the next day for leftovers. The restaurant was super clean and gave a nice ambiance. The only thing I suggest was for the host to seat a party every other table. I didn't understand why they were sitting everyone back to back, clustered to one another when the restaurant wasn't any where near pack or busy. Well, this review is overdue by SEVERAL months--and I mean just that because I've been SEVERAL times since the first time I visited them. Sheesh. So you may or may not know I am a sucker for a good steak; frankly, any kind of food, but you know....a good steak cooked medium rare-medium is a fave. So it's always a Ribeye, there are no deviations from that. One time I topped it scallops and they added some kind of truffle butter and man. The second time, I had it with a crabcake on top...and man, AGAIN! Each time the steak was cooked perfectly and just melts in your mouth. The lobster bisque is pretty solid too and I always get the lobster mac and cheese--yeah, I splurge often, ok...a lot! If you happen to catch them during lunch time, they have smaller steaks and smaller side servings they provide--who complains about that? {One of those times} I went for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu and was just as full. If you are extra hungry {thick, greedy or just like stuffing yourself} get the butter cake for dessert--its stupid good! Ask to be seated upstairs on the patio; its super cute and gives a nice vibe. I've also sat in the bar/lounge area and that is nice as well. I always make reservations (shout out to OpenTable) and am immediately seated upon arrival. All servers have been nice as well. This spot is always great. I haven't been since 2017. And the cheesesteak egg-rolls were always my favorite. I was supposed to meet someone at the Starbucks next door and got stood up! So I decided to go get a real drink, and my favorite appetizer. The bar was semi busy, but not really for a Friday night. The bartenders was super friendly and check often to see if I was ok. First time trying Del Frisco's out on 7-6-25, after hearing about it for nearly 30 years. Nice place. Hostess with the bleached blonde hair was about as dry as their mashed potatoes. I don't need all the sides read off to me, I can read. But he was really great overall. Speaking of the sides, the mashed potatoes were dry lumpy and no flavor. ADD BUTTER!!! Don't be afraid of putting flavor in your food. That's what we're here for. The broccolini was bland as well and very hard to chew. Pass on both those sides. The steaks however were cooked perfect, with the exception of sending one back to cook longer. Very flavorful and the garlic butter really enhanced the flavor. You should put that in your bland potatoes. It's worth the cost. Price was fair. I would return but of course try another side with my steak, as the steak was pretty good. read more

This is my first visit to Del Frisco's. I decided to hop in for lunch to check out the menu and have a bite to eat. I started with the crab cake, which is delicious. They use lump crab and not too many fillers. The way it is prepared really highlights the flavor of the crab. One down side is the crab cake is on the small side. If you have more than one person at your table, each person should order one vs 1 order as an appetizer. For my entree I got the Blue cheese wedge with the steak option. The salad was good. It's kinda soupy due to all the dressing they put on. The steak was cooked to temp but the cut of the steak was chewy and I found myself with a tired jaw and swallowing piece of meat whole that I couldn't chew. What sticks with me is that everything seems so overpriced! $21 for a small crab cake and $28 for a salad and this is the lunch menu!! It was good but not slap your momma good. Service was top notch and water stayed filled but due to price alone I probably won't be back. I just feel like they are taking advantage of me. My friend's birthday was the next day and Del Frisco's had it on file and knew, even though they weren't told when the reservation was made. We ordered a delicious bottle of red that I'd highly recommend: Belle Glos Pinot Noir. I had the Petite Filet topped with scallops. We shared sides of scalloped potatoes and brussels sprouts.
