We eat at Del Frisco's Grille for most special occasions so to say I'm disappointed at how we were treated today is an understatement. We ordered lobster mac and cheese as one of our side dishes. When we received the dish it wasn't apparent that it had lobster in it so we asked the waiter and he said he wasn't sure. It really wasn't a huge deal and we were fine either way so we asked for an extra side of mashed potatoes which we planned to eat both and didn't think anything else about it. In the meantime our waiter must have mentioned something to the kitchen which wasn't necessary but the manager then comes out and shines his cell phone light on our food to see if there was lobster in it. First of all I find that very unprofessional and not to mention unsanitary to put a random person's dirty cell phone anywhere near someone's food. He caught us completely off guard because as we started eating it we were seeing small bits of lobster at the bottom so if the manager would have just asked we would have said oh we see it now. We had no idea why he was coming to the table because it was just a question to the waiter it wasn't that big of a deal and we surely didn't make a fuss about it. We were speechless that a manager would do something so tacky and unprofessional. Not to mention the added disappointment that my husband had just picked me up from the hospital from having a procedure and we came straight to the restaurant for a relaxing meal after an emotional few days. I still had the hospital bands on my wrists but my husband really wanted to treat me to a nice meal considering the sensitive nature of the procedure and that I had been eating hospital food for the past two days. I'm not sure if it was because we were dressed down but the restaurant was almost empty and it was lunchtime so you would think they would appreciate the business. Like I said we drove straight from the hospital and purposefully went there because we usually enjoy the food and service. After today I'm going to really reconsider going back. Also after we were done since it was cold outside and I was just out of the hospital my husband went to get the car while I waited in the lobby by the door so I could see when he pulled around to pick me up. The manager happened to be standing by the front desk and when he saw me step out to look for the car and step back in he asked me "Can I help you?" In a condescending tone. What is odd is he came to our table so I'm sure he remembered that we were just eating in the restaurant so his tone seemed very rude instead of helpful. I just responded that I was waiting for my husband which should have been self explanatory considering the weather was cold and rainy. Also, normally in nice establishments you will usually get a greeting when you leave thanking you for your visit but the manager was standing there the whole time and didn't say anything as I left even though there was no one else in the lobby at the time. which further solidified my assumption that his demeanor was rude and condescending. Always a fan of DFG. We came here for a friend's birthday. Covid times are rough. This place wasn't packed. The staff here were on top of things and so friendly. I really love their VIP drink (pineapple infused vodka drink). We started off with pretty much all the apps on the menu haha. My favorite are the egg rolls and the wings. The pepperoni flatbread here is fantastic. I've gotten it almost at every DFGs. I am a creature of habit. We ended our meals with dessert. The peanut butter dessert was my favorite. We had reservations but they sat us next to the bar area which was an issue to begin with. Our waitress was also one of the bartenders so not very engaged. Decided to pop in here (my first time) after our wonderful 21 year anniversary dinner next door at Taverna Italian. Walked up at exactly 9:45pm and the sign printed on window says "open till 11pm Mon-Thurs". Ohhh, we thought...we're in luck it's Wed night and it's 9:45! Instead of luck we were greeted by hostess with "we're closed sorry". We were like "oh, your sign says 11pm okay no worries we will leave, no big deal". We look to our left and there are 4 couples all cozied up to the circular bar enjoying drinks. 9:48pm: the maître de walks over, hears our conversation with hostess and sees us looking at people still seated at the bar having drinks, then points with his thumb and says "well, I mean you can sit at the bar but no food". We had just said we already had dinner and thought it'd be fun to check this place out, since my husband had just brought his company here a month ago and blew a small fortune. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, plus we were celebrating our anniversary. 9:50pm: maître de says "come with me let me see if I can get the bartender to take care of you". So reluctantly we follow him and already having that gut feeling. And sure enough the bartender and her bar back "took care of us" alright, by completely refusing to acknowledge, serve, or make eye contact with us! We sat there for an awkward 10 minutes watching the bar "assistant" check on the other 4 couples, but not us. We even watched him "check the freezer" door to see if it was gliding properly....I kid you not! Pretty laughable at this point and obvious the main bartender lady was not happy nor wanted to take care of us. At this point, we hopped off our bar chairs and decided to leave and spend our time and money elsewhere. 10pm: I stopped by to ask the high school hostess about speaking with "the manager", she cops an attitude with me asking why, after I tell her why, she says "welllll we ARE closed"...I pointed to the window and said "well, the window sign says 11pm and that is why we even bothered to open the door and come in". Then she snaps back at me "Well, the sign is wrong!"...Mmmkkkaaayyy can we just get the manager so I can let him know how things are going and they might want to change the window sign that has the "wrong" information. 10:05pm: Me standing there calming explaining what took place as we watch a server walk by with a tray of freshly made drinks and take them into the main dining room. So much for "being closed" hmmm...?! Silver lining here Yelp friends, I'm so glad we didn't end up staying otherwise we would have missed out on KAI just across the street where we had the BEST rest of our night! I'll start with the good... the Flatbread, biscuits and salad with bacon are really yummy. The $24 shrimp cocktail was not cleaned so it will had the black poop line(gross). The Crispy skin Trout, was Not crispy and peeled away like a bandaid. The Fish and Chips was a generous portion, however there was about 5oz of fish and ALL batter. The worst however were the Scallops, I should have listened to the other reviews about the saltiness, they were Soooooo salty and rubbery with no color. The 2 stars is only because the service was excellent and everyone who worked that night was on point. We just had terrible food. Unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon. Dissatisfied. read more

I've been to this location several times so I did notice that the attention wasn't as great as my previous visits. They currently have a seasonal menu offering a salad, entree and a choice of one of two desserts. I ordered the Cesar, filet Oscar, truffle Mac and cheese and a peanut butter with fudge pie. I haven't gone outside of the lines as it relates to my normal cocktail. I started with the VIP as it has a nice sweetness to it and it's smooth. Overall they did make some recent changes to their menu. If they don't have the seasonal offering for $35 I may try something else. After traveling more than 20 hours out of state to spend Thanksgiving Day with my son and daughter in law, rather than have dinner at home, my children made a dinner reservation at Del Frisco's for our Thanksgiving meal. I was so looking forward to a relaxing dining experience, but it was not to be - It was a complete disaster! After we were seated at our table, the male server with the unusual name, hurriedly asked us for our drink orders mere minutes after we'd been seated. Sensing the frantic response from him, I made it a point to tell the server that this was our first time at the restaurant and asked him to slow down frantic pace, and he promised that he would. He obviously didn't understand my request because it went downhill after this. After ordering our drinks, we decided to order the complete Thanksgiving meal (soup, Turkey dinner, dessert). When the soups arrived literally 5 minutes after we ordered our meals, my husband asked the server NOT to bring our meals out too fast as we wanted to enjoy our time catching up over our meal. The server with the unusual name confirmed that he would hold off bringing the food to us too soon. As we started eating our soup, however, after the second spoonful, here comes the manager (?) and another server with our plated dinners! They completely ignored when my son and husband told them that we weren't finished with our soup. The manager just put the plates of food in the middle of our table and walked away. When the server with the unusual name checked on us, my husband told him that we had asked him not to bring our food out until we were finished with our soup. The server asked if we wanted him to "hold" our plates of food in the kitchen, and we declined because it would have been microwaved. With the rushed service, I looked around to see if the restaurant was super busy or if guests were waiting to be seated, but it was nearly empty! By the time we started our dinner, it was cold and awful. Our turkey was dry and the sausage dressing was very salty. The server with the unusual name never offered us another round of wine (we certainly would have ordered another round), which was disappointing. Our son apologized for the horrible dinner experience, and he promised they would never take us back to Del Frisco Grille. On December 28th around 7:30 pm, my family was looking forward to the upscale atmosphere of Del Frisco's Grille, as well as the extensive menu that the "Grille" offers over Del Frisco. First, the menu was the "holiday menu," and MOST items were missing. This would have been understandable, however, on-line there is NO indication they are on a "limited menu" until sometime after the new year. That was the first major disappointment, as four out of six of us already knew what we wanted and it wasn't available. My filet was ordered medium and was delivered borderline well done. No biggie, our server apologized and sent it back. The "new one" had been cooked so fast the outside was burnt. Whatever, I was hungry. My son's filet, that came out WELL AFTER everyone else's, was also ordered medium. His was served RARE. I mean BLOODY MESS RARE. His filet was sent back and redone as well. Steak #2? STILL RARE. By this time his sides were cold and the rest of us were done eating. We ordered extra sides that never came. (We made our server aware, and she assured us they wouldn't be on the final bill) Our water glasses sat empty twice for extensive time, mind you the entire restaurant had four to five tables of people total, and I know I saw at least three servers. I asked to speak to a manager thinking he could explain what was going on in his kitchen...maybe they were short staffed or had some new folks? Things happen, people are human, and we ALL have bad days sometimes. I was honestly just hoping for some sort of apology, as it was a miserable experience for a place that's supposed to be "upscale dining." The manager, a male, walked up, did not make ANY sort of eye contact with ANYONE, mumbled "I'm sorry, I'll have this steak taken off," and literally ran off. The bad: 1.my son ordered a NY strip medium rare--It came near medium well, he liked it anyhow. 2.My husband's filet arrived rare- he ordered medium and sent it back. It came back over cooked medium/well and the texture was funky. 3. My 2 filet medallions were actually 3.. two tiny pieces in place of one of them, cooked well-done and could barely cut it to show the server when he asked me to cut it. So two issues- the plate was not a $48 plate! And 2, I ordered medium. My dish was returned after my family had mostly eaten their meals- this time it looked beautiful in terms of plating and much better looking medallions. Our server even commented on how this plate looks much better than the first plate looked. Then, I cut into it and it was medium rare... I just accepted it at this point. POOR SERVICE! I'd take your business elsewhere. So irritated with horrible servers. Bartender gal with the "K" necklace - texting at the register while customers anxiously waited for service, disregarded us when we said we were ready to order. Before then, she nearly broke a glass on the bar in front of my husband and I - didn't bother to apologize for the near miss, threw the cocktail menu on the counter when my husband asked for it. She proceeded to serve others after she acknowledged that we were ready to place our order - she gave someone their check, took another couple's order, served wine to another patron, served water to two other patrons, went to her register, continued to text, rung out checks right in front of us and continued to ignore my husband and I. After she obviously wasn't going to take our dinner order, I interrupted her and said, "you must have misunderstood us when we said we were ready to order 10 minutes ago." She said I'm sorry what can I get you. I said, my check. I don't care if I'm sitting at the bar, I'd expect comparable service as if we were sitting at a table. The kicker is, we arrived for our dinner reservation, but decided to sit at the bar instead. Guess that was a mistake. Visited this location for the very first (and last) time on Christmas Eve (12/24/21). They had a limited menu, which is understandable as it was Christmas Eve, and although the food (Prime Rib and Filet Miñon) and drinks were very good - well cooked, seasoned, and large portions - I was overcharged $50.00 in gratuity. I was shocked to see the extra $50.00 charge in gratuity posted to my account. When I called and spoke to Corey (Manager?) he looked up the receipt and stated the waiter mistook my "3" for an "8". I'm not sure which waiter, because we had to servers. The first server greeted us and attended us, then half way either left, went to another table, who knows.... and another young man took over (with out telling us) for the rest of our meal. The place is nice and upscale with good food and ambiance but mistake a "3" for an "8"? Come on. They said they are working with their "home office" to resolve/refund/credit the extra charge to me but we'll see what comes of it. Came here on a business lunch and my experience overall was good. Excellent service and they are very attentive and polite- seems like they work as a team which is great. I love seeing this. Always brought refills and made sure everything was okay. The only downside for us was that there were not many lunch menu options. Since it was a business lunch you don't want to take advantage and order something overpriced if you're not paying yourself. The only menu options for items we liked were expensive, which is understandable for the type of restaurant. They did have their daily special of which that Friday was fish and chips. The food was fantastic. My husband and I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls. I was completely aware these would tear up my stomach later in the night (I'm allergic to flour) but they were so worth it! Such a great flavor. They came with a spicy mustard and a sweet sauce drizzled on top. For my meal I got the filet medium rare with the jalapeño bacon mashed potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly! Such a great flavor and a very good cut of meat. The mashed potatoes were good. They could have used more jalapeño and less bacon but overall still good. There is valet parking on the side if you can't find a parking spot. Be sure to make a reservation. This place fills up fast. The food is fantastic and the service is great. Stopped in for a quick to-go order on a Saturday early evening. Ordered a shaved steak sandwich - basically a French Dip. The meet was not too exciting. Nothing bad, nothing especially great. The seasoning was pretty good. I guess it would have only been better if it had been a little less well done and also more evenly shaved, but it was good. The au jus had a good flavor. I got the horseradish on the side. I didn't end up using it. This came with fries, sweet potato fries or maybe a side salad? I did fries and I said "extra crispy" "super extra crispy" etc several times when ordering. The person assured me they "got it".... But they didn't ... the fries were in no way crispy or well done. They were decent fries I suppose. They are fairly thick cut as opposed to a thin cut or even a match stick fry. read more

**This review is just for the take-out experience and food** Could takeout steaks from a steakhouse really be that good? After thinking about it for the last several months, we finally decided to give it a try. We had some issues ordering online because the online ordering system didn't have all the options as the actual menu posted on its website. We were able to order everything by calling the restaurant. The location doesn't offer curbside pickup and there aren't any parking spaces reserved for pick up orders. The latter was a bit of an issue for us because it was raining that night. Our order included three steaks with sides, one salad with steak, the mushroom flatbread and three desserts. The salad had bacon on it even though we specifically said no bacon. The steaks were a little on the cold side, but ten seconds in the microwave fixed that. The steaks, flatbread and mac & cheese were delicious. The broccoli and sweet potato fries were just okay. The desserts - peanut butter chocolate pie, caramel pot de creme, chocolate olive oil cake - were bland and very disappointing. We were really sad about the desserts being so bad.
