Love the vibe of this place. Small interior great patio to sit on. Fun that a robot brings you your food. Food was delicious! Guacamole was well seasoned and both main dishes tasted great. Staff was very welcoming when we entered but the service was lacking from there on out. My drink wasn't delivered until we were almost done eating and I think it was only delivered then because we had to hunt someone down to refill our waters. Three of us ate here yesterday and it was very good. My tow Tacos Al Pastor were excellent; with tasty pork which overflowed the tacos but using the provided chips to scoop them up made for a nice bonus. Very good salsas with the chips. One ordered the Fish Tacos, the other the Steak Fajitas and were very happy with them. Half the Fajitas went home for dinner. Good service, nice albeit small space inside and nice outside seating which some might find too close to the road but we were fine with it. Excellent value. Will be returning. read more

Last night my boyfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time, and it was such a great experience. The gentleman who waited on us was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was amazing. I ordered the Mexican enchiladas, three different enchiladas (green, creamy, and mole) served with rice and beans. The mole was so good, honestly one of the best I've had, and that says a lot since my mom is Mexican and makes an excellent mole. The portions were also very generous. My boyfriend ordered the pollo con crema, and it was fantastic. He couldn't stop talking about how good and unique it was. It actually reminded me of a similar dish my mom used to make when I was growing up, which I had completely forgotten about. You don't see that dish at many restaurants, so it was really special to have it, and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this restaurant to all of our friends! read more

Del Valle is a regular spot for my husband and me. They always deliver consistent, quality food that is delicious. We noticed they put a notice up on Facebook yesterday that they would be offering Al pastor from the trompo so of course we had to go get some. My husband had two tacos and I got a torta. Vegetarian review - taste is unique and love it, we've already been there multiple times. There's a nice little surprise in how your food is delivered. Generally the service is great but staff could be a little more attentive when taking down or at least verifying the order when there's changes made for a vegetarian. If you are ordering as it is in the menu I'm sure it's fine and there won't be any issues. That's the only reason I reduced a star because despite ordering vegetarian items and specifying nothing should have meat, two times out of three my plate showed up with meat dishes. Once the meat was just removed and plate was returned as is with the remaining items. The second time the dish was remade but not until after I took a bite which was not pleasant for me as a vegetarian. Place looks fine and big enough to accommodate larger groups of needed but generally it looks a little cramped. Bottom line, I will still go back for their food. read more

When I got there to pick up she basically said they were out of birria and that the aguachiles weren't even started. The lady didn't even look sorry about it. The food is always good here. The Carnitas is super flavorful whether you get it in the burrito, taco, enchilada or just a plate. I love the taste of the beans and they have a fantastic mole sauce just enough sweet and just enough heat to make it perfect. Order anything because you won't go wrong. There is just one thing I would mention however,...... I like pico de gallo with my chips and their salsa is just too hot to enjoy... It's like just plain hot sauce. read more

I love coming here. The restaurant is cleaned, you are met by friendly people. You even get to pick your seat when they are not busy. We got our drinks in a timely manner with chips and salsa. There was a service dog only sign and yet this couple sat down with two dogs wandering around their table... (Dogs are not clean, please don't bring them inside a restaurant). No soap in the outdoor bathroom, nachos kinda looked thin, and the chips were slightly soggy. I'll go back and try something new next time to see if I just came in on an off day, but it doesn't compare to the quality of the other Mexican food off of Sebastopol Road. A robot brings u chips n salsa, a robot brings your food and, a robot brings your check! Now the food. Beans were cold. Probably a health hazard. Rice was warm. Chile rellenos was soggy. The robot forgot to bring me utensils. I asked the robot for utensils but it did not respond so I had to get up and go find someone to ask. Do not eat here. Tried to talk to the waitress....wait what was she? Not a waitress...but she could not understand what I was saying about the download and that I wanted a menu. She just kept saying it's easy. We came here for breakfast and their chilaquiles are the best I've ever had. The service was superb, the recommendations and the timing was excellent. We loved sitting in the outdoor patio, even in the rain it is super cozy with the music, lighting, and homemade tortillas being made in the corner. If you come here for breakfast you must get the chilaquiles! I got them with salsa verse and they are so delicious. So we came two weeks ago on a Tuesday and we had called in advance to ask if they had taco Tuesday specials. They said yes! Came here today super excited that it was taco Tuesday (or so we thought) & my partner ordered 5 tacos, I ordered 4. When we went to pay they said it wasn't taco Tuesday and that there's a lady who comes to do the taco Tuesday's but she wasn't there TODAY. So basically we got charged double and I'm honestly so upset because for the price of what we paid I would've went to Oliver's to buy meat myself and cook. Wow! I've eaten at many Mexican restaurants including multiple ones on Sebastopol Avenue. This is my first visit to Del Valle. It was formerly Mi Tierra. I went on an off hour between lunch a dinner so it wasn't very busy. I got a Chile Relleno Burrito to go. It's basically a super burrito with a chile relleno inside. The burrito is super large so I ate half and saved the other half for another meal. It was sooo good! The flavors were well balanced. It came with a small amount of in-house made tortilla chips and 2 types of salsa (red and green). I loved the Salsa Verda (green) over the Salsa Roja (red). Maybe it was personal preference. This is one of the best burritos I've ever had! I'll definitely go back to try some more menu items. read more

Came with two pigs feet on a bed of braised cabbage. Tasty. The trotters had a mild lemony fragrance. The skin collagen was softened to succulence. Not much meat between the bones, but an adventure to separate the bones apart to find the edible morsels. I'll return to eat something more normal and report back again. Prices are low. This is the defining line between taqueria and Mexican restaurant! This is not your average hole-in-the-wall eatery, so abundant on this side of town. Del Valle put out high quality, fresh, flavorful food that didn't have the lingering "yep, here comes the burrito coma" feeling so typical of my afternoon lunch break (... not that I don't seriously enjoy the occasional burrito coma). I was stoked to see Cochinita Pibil on the menu, and while it differed pretty significantly from the CP I am used to and adore, their creamier more stew-like take on the dish was awesome! I was also very pleasantly surprised by the fish taco. The fish was super fresh and between the light, creamy house sauce and crumbled queso fresco atop a mound of crisp veg I was in fish taco heaven - a seldom frequented oasis. I truly hope this place sticks around. 2000 Stony Point has a long legacy of great Mexican eateries - this one takes the cake (...or flan, or whatever you might say). GO! read more
