Dining area inside & outside appearance has not changed from its old, frowzy and bargain basement ambiance. Friendly, good humored greeting. Quick to take the meal order and deliver the chips, salsa and drinks. Food was delivered in just minutes. I ordered the special of the day, enchiladas Michoacan. Came with two pigs feet on a bed of braised cabbage. Tasty. The trotters had a mild lemony fragrance. The skin collagen was softened to succulence. Not much meat between the bones, but an adventure to separate the bones apart to find the edible morsels. I'll return to eat something more normal and report back again. Prices are low. And the lunchtime crowd testifies that this restaurant is popular. Give the place a try. read more

This is the defining line between taqueria and Mexican restaurant! This is not your average hole-in-the-wall eatery, so abundant on this side of town. Del Valle put out high quality, fresh, flavorful food that didn't have the lingering "yep, here comes the burrito coma" feeling so typical of my afternoon lunch break (... not that I don't seriously enjoy the occasional burrito coma). I was stoked to see Cochinita Pibil on the menu, and while it differed pretty significantly from the CP I am used to and adore, their creamier more stew-like take on the dish was awesome! I was also very pleasantly surprised by the fish taco. The fish was super fresh and between the light, creamy house sauce and crumbled queso fresco atop a mound of crisp veg I was in fish taco heaven - a seldom frequented oasis. I truly hope this place sticks around. 2000 Stony Point has a long legacy of great Mexican eateries - this one takes the cake (...or flan, or whatever you might say). GO! read more

I was super excited in going in to try their food. I had previously checked on Yelp and was conviced in going there for lunch/dinner. Food : it was okay. Nothing WOW about either plates. Husband got the Fajitas de Pollo and i got the Birria. Service: sucky. At first our server seemed great. He was very friendly and helpful. However, our opinions changed once we received our food. My husbands plate was supposed to come with guacamole and it didnt. He had asked for flour tortillas and recieved corn. We had to ask another employee for utensils and more chips and salsa because our server abandoned us. We got ONE utensil even tho it was 3 of us. (Husband, daughter and i!!) and we never got our Extra chips and salsa. He also wanted a refill on his horchata but no server....i ended up sharing my coke with him lol Maybe we should have sat inside. Next to the Kitchen/staff. Great chile relleno! A little hard for me to find on the directions given here. The restaurant is next to CVS, so directions to there might work better. They have a nice outdoor dining patio, right next to Sebastopol road, lots of street noise, but worth it!!! Parking is mostly behind the restaurant, near the side of CVS pharmacy . read more

I called for takeout today- It was my first time and let me tell you the service was amazing, I ordered 2 orders of the enchiladas Michoacána's ,a side of refried beans,a mole burrito with shredded chicken, a shrimp tostada and a fish ceviche tostada. 2 carnitas tacos. they enchiladas were perfectly seasoned! The side of potatoes were amazing! And the chicken was super juicy and flavorful! The portions are amazing! I should have ordered the tostadas on the side since they got soggy but that was my fault they gave us so much chips and I ate my shrimp and ceviche with them! They were super flavorful!!! The tostadas were topped off with a great portion of avocado which was amazing!!! The mole burrito was huge and I wasn't able to try it! But the person who ate it enjoyed it!! It was huuuge! I love this place. Almost everything I've ever had had been very tasty. There is an occasional communication issue, but they are very kind about the mix ups. Very nice people, and yummy food. The location leaves a lot to be desired though. I highly recommend you order to go if they are busy, it's a very tiny place right up against Sebastopol Rd. So it's noisy and there's lots of exhaust fumes floating around, cuz you are one building away from the stop light at the corner of Sebastopol road and Stony point. So the traffic kind of kills the atmosphere a bit, otherwise it's a pretty cool little place. If there is availability and you have the choice I would sit inside somewhere however is the patio is beautiful on a nice day provided the traffic isn't too nasty LOL read more

Went to Del Valle Mexican Restaurant on the corner of the old location of Pepe's @ 2000 Sebastopol Road . . . Their online menu is excellent and very easy on the eyes to read . . . To bad they don't have take home menus . . . I sat outside making sure there weren't and flies . . . I ordered the Chile Relleno plate. There weren't any hand made tortillas . . . I settled for 4 corn. Black whole beans and rice. I asked for no spicy sauce on anything . . . I asked & Water came with lemon wedges & ice . . . Chips were served with two sauces to dip but I didn't try them. One was yellowish the other greenish . . . The plate was square white dish, the whole beans had fresco cheese sprinkled on them and quite tasty . . . The rice okay without much flavor, nothing added for color . . . The small salad they added a spicy sauce, so I didn't eat that . . . The Chile RELLENO was a poblano stuffed with cheese and egg covering it . . . It was the best one I've had in a long time. It had a sweet taste and cut easily . . . It didn't have and sauce over it. I really loved it. It was enjoyable . . . I forgot to try their flan . . . In my endless pursuit of the perfect fish taco, this week I targeted Del Valle Mexican Restaurant with it's very seafood focussed menu. The SO ordered the Carnitas Plate and I had two fish tacos, rice and beans. The mound of carnitas was cubed; tender and flavorful. Served with rice, refried beans, warm tortillas and a small salad topped with guacamole, it was a massive amount of food for $12.95. The fish in the fish tacos looked like a filet; it was seasoned and grilled to a perfect doneness. Topped with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and crema, the combination of warm fish and soft tortillas with fresh salad made a delightful summer meal. The restaurant is clean, the staff friendly and efficient, the food was served remarkably quickly, it's affordable and it was delicious! We'll be back! read more

On my way down Stony Point, I took notice to the new hot and trending business that takes place on the corner of Sebastopol Rd and Stony Point. I decided to pull in and check this place out since Mi Tierra has moved over on Airway Dr. There is plenty of seating. Inside and out. Outside is a tad noisy due to the passing traffic (if you don't mind that) Inside is a salsa bar with all of the goods tucked away in there. The chips are freshly deep fried with warm touch that the salt sticks well to. It's bonus points when a taqueria makes their own chips that are delicious to boot. This place was able to hit all of my needs and some! The fish taco, the shrimp taco, pastor, mole, hurraches. They seriously had it all to please this Taco Queen. The rice was nice and soft. Everything was fresh and delicious. Didn't have anything bad here. Can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu. We are pretty spoild here in Sonoma County read more

I've never liked any restaurants enchiladas until I came here. I came in a second time & the salsas for chips were on point. Had to update my review. This is a new restaurant and let me tell you, they will be around for a while. They are run by a family. The daughter is a waitress and she is very sweet. She goes above and beyond for the customers even when she has 4+ tables asking her for stuff. The mom does a little of everything in the front of the house. The menu selection is huge. So that only means I have to keep coming back to try each and every single item. There is chips at the beginning of your meal and it comes with a delicious green salsa and a medium red salsa. There is also a salsa bar that has another green salsa selection, a chipotle like salsa, jalapeño, radishes, and likes. Let me tell you, ALL the salsas are delicious. I couldn't get enough of them I preferred the chilaquiles which are my all time favorite breakfast dish and it didn't disappoint. They were so tasty. The black beans, which aren't my favorite, where really good as well. I also preferred a carnitas sope which had refríes beans, carnitas, lettuce, sour cream and cheese. I wanted more! So good! My mom ordered the chile relleno which came with a slaw salad, pinto beans and rice, she really enjoyed it (and so did I bc I always eat off her plate). She also had a hurache which is basically a sope. It was delish! We had horchata and I loved it. It's my favorite Mexican beverage. Overall, it was one of the best Mexican meals I've had here in Santa Rosa. There's a lot of Mexican restaurants in this area but a lot of them really suck and are over priced. I've drove pass this place so many times, and we were craving aguachile so we picked this spot cause the images online looks bomb. Def was very good but omg it was so damn spicy! I couldn't take anymore then 5 bites! Lol so many shrimp for every bite for the price of $22. Their pastor taco is very good and bigger size than a street taco. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED In the horrible Customer service yesterday! We ended up Leaving before we got our dinner, after waiting an hour! We Made a reservation for this past Sunday, my fiancé's birthday. They were VERY busy when we arrived 10 min early, we didn't mind waiting a bit to get our table. Once seated our waiter was very rushed each time he came To our table. Once We realized we had been waiting a long time For our meal, our waiter blew by and said "it's coming soon". It had been 45 Minutes since we ordered. A few minutes later the waiter blew by and said "yours should Be next". (No apology ) I then stopped another server and asked if she was a mgr. She said no, but she would send him over. She explained that Sundays they get hit hard all at once, and apologized. We waited, a few more minutes and then decided to leave. The mgr showed up and said "please stay". No offer to comp a drink, or an appetizer. No explanation- VERY DISAPPOINTING!! We left, so it's not really a 1 Star, it's a ZERO read more

The worst delivery of food I have ever seen. It might have been good food in the restaurant kitchen but what arrived delivered to the hotel front desk was dog food. The $60.00 meal was served in a few styrofoam containers with sauces in containers . When I opened the bags all I witnessed was cracked broken and mixed up smelly food . A mess I just threw it out. It looked like it was three against a wall.. Very very unhappy with this restaurant . Called and no one answered the phone. Don't order out from this restaurant. Yummy noises after every bite from both of us! Lol it was almost comedy. This food was like eating in my grandmothers kitchen growing up. I cannot say enough good things about it. From the perfect salsa to the fajitas to the enchiladas and everything we've tried so far. It was so perfect we went again less than a week later. Their service could use a little bit of work. It kind of seems like some family members just got told to watch tables and maybe they'd rather not be, or don't have any real training on server etiquette? Patio dining is open. It was hot and I wanted to support this restaurant. Stopped in and ordered pollo con crema, pastor tacos, chilli rellenos. They were practicing safe take out. Food was delicious and hot when I took it home. The flavors were spot on authentic Mexican. Was in and out in 15 min. Everyone was smiling and appreciative to have customers. Highly recommend! Just one pet peeve is take out containers are styrofoam. Would rather see environmentally friendly. Proportions are generous. Plenty for lunch today as well. read more

I love this restaurant so much. They have mole that I have never in my life enjoyed as much as this. I used it for a dip with my chips! I'd never heard of them before, but I will be ordering from them for years to come. Out of this world carnitas as well. I can't recommend the $25 burrito enough. It lasts me for 3 meals and I get so excited when I give myself permission to order it. I was really sad when they were closed for almost a month but maybe they were affected by the pandemic. I am not at all in the habit of leaving 1-Star reviews...though after this experience, I would leave Zero stars if that were possible. This was the absolute worst experience we've ever had. We have a 2 y/o son and a 6 y/o son with Autism, so dining-out can be a challenge in itself. We arrived today (Sunday) at 1:45pm. The patio was busy, but tables were open and we were sat pretty quickly. We were able to order after about 15 minutes, though we accept partial responsibility for that delay. We then sat for the next 45 minutes without a single check-in by our server. My wife went inside after waiting 30 mins to request that or food be prepared to-go since the boys had waited beyond their expiration and were beginning to fall apart at the table. No apologies for the delay, just an acknowledgement and then the server moved on. I finally went inside about 10 minutes later to check on the status of our food as we must have been INVISIBLE on the patio (our server had been checking on tables directly adjacent to ours, but not once did she spin around to see if we needed anything, or to even apologize for the delay) and my server walked right past me without even a sideward glance. A woman at the counter asked me if I wanted to pay my check (I had my credit card in my hand). I told her yes and asked why the order is taking so long, to which she replied that they were short one cook. Other tables around us had been served and already turned over, so I felt like that was a weak excuse. I don't want to say that we were discriminated against, but we definitely felt uncomfortable and like we were an inconvenience to be waited on, though that would have to involve actually waiting on us, so I'm not really sure.
