The avocado toast was so good! I am not a goat cheese fan so I took that off but otherwise it was really good. The garlic oil was really flavorful, nice about of spice, avocado wasn't too hot like it had been sitting out for a while and not ice cold from the refrigerator. Perfect crunch on the sour dough! I decided to try Della Coffee yesterday since it's close to my place and is new, let me just say that I will 100% be back!! This coffee shop is so cute and located in montrose, so it's nice to try new coffee shops in the area! I got an iced chai with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious! The flavor was spot on! They also had pastries and a food menu that looked really good too. The service was really good, once I ordered I got my drink within a few minutes and they delivered it to my table which was really nice. This is a great spot to work from home or catch up with friends. The music they were playing was just amazing, I could really vibe while I worked! One thing I will say, is that if you're working make sure your laptop is fully charged. I only saw one wall outlet and there were outlets on the bar seating. This place reminds me of a health conscious cafe with good lattes. The place does have a variety of coffee/latte options. One thing I do like is that this place does have plant based milk options. I got a matcha latte with oat mill iced and it was amazing. I got vanilla syrup added to it and made the drink taste even better. I ordered the iced matcha latte with strawberry milk and this was a very yummy and refreshing version of matcha. As I was ordering I expressed my concerns of whether or not the matcha flavor would become over powered and the drink would end up tasting like strawberry milk as this tends to occur with strawberry purée in matcha. The lady at the register was so kind and suggested I try it and if I didn't like it would be willing to change it for me. I ended up liking it but the customer service was so great. The ambiance inside was very cute and I could definitely see myself coming here to study or do work. I am so glad that I finally got to try this place! I actually came here on my birthday a couple weeks ago and studied for my NCLEX (nurse board exam). I got an iced matcha latte and 2 breakfast tacos (Roses and Bubba). When my food and drink was ready, it was brought to my table so I thought that was very nice. Since I went around 10-11am, the inside was peaceful and quiet and a great environment to get some work done. The matcha latte was really good and not too sweet. As for the tacos, I enjoyed both but my favorite was definitely the Roses taco! I typically don't like bacon but the black bean taco with both red and green salsas had so much flavor! I would have definitely gotten 2 of the same tacos. The Bubba taco was also good! I do wish that it had a little more flavor in the eggs but it was still good. I also tried a breakfast taco that was pretty tasty. There is a glass-door conference room that can be rented on their website. It has a large TV monitor that you can connect to, also. Excited to see a new business pop up and get to try it so early. The owners and staff were so accommodating and welcoming and the place was very lovely. I can tell a lot of thought went into it all and I wish them the best of luck! For myself I got a large iced mocha latte with vanilla and (made in house) pistachio milk and my girlfriend got a large iced vanilla latte. They additionally were kind enough to give us a free cookie for the wait. I've never tried pistachio milk before so I was interested in it. I can't say I taste the pistachio flavor much but it was similar to almond milk to me. It wasn't very creamy it was similar to a 2% milk. As for the coffee it was a bit lacking. The coffee was on the weaker side and the mocha was barely noticeable. I additionally tried my girlfriend's drink that had whole milk and we agreed it nearly tasted like milk. As for the cookie it is really good, a bit on the harder side but I really like the flavor of it and am glad I got to try it. I'd love to see some more gluten free options as well! The environment they created in there and their attitude mean a lot to me. I'm sure this is just part of the adjusting period! I hope to be back in the future and try more items!! A hidden gem indeed! Found this place by chance and Apple Maps in my favor. Stopped in one morning to meet a girlfriend and test waters to see if it passed my "Remote Work Test" and it very much did! Baristas are literally so amazing and hilarious! I cannot say no to them call me gullible but they are the sweetest ever.. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and chorizo taco. Now, I will say I am on the sweeter side of coffee girlies BUT, they made this PERFECT! It was the perfect balance between strong and sweet. Their chorizo taco was to. die. for. Ugh! So good.. After a few hours passed, I ordered a lemon cake and dude! They cannot get anything wrong!? The hold this place has on me. Okay now for the ambiance.. it was an early morning rush so I cannot blame the noise. But, it was quiet enough to be able to hear the person in front of you. Everyone is in their own bubble. I worked from this shop from 9am - 2pm and all my calls went surprisingly smooth. The people on the other end didn't seem to be bothered by the additional noise. It is a smaller shop so you can expect it to get a bit nosey, but we live in Houston for Christs sake, you'll live. Visited Della coffee on a Monday morning for a work meeting with a colleague. I enjoyed an iced Matcha latte with their house made pistachio milk and a Rosie breakfast taco. Both were delicious. I also love their parking lot in the back of the coffee shop and all the cool snacks by the cash register. Della prioritizes options made from Whole Foods and less processed ingredients. I'm also a BIG sourdough fan and this place has so many great sourdough options. I tried the muffin and it was 10/10, I need to come back and try more of the food. Tried their Dos Bebos latte and it was really good! Love the spices used. It has a great flavor! 5/5 I like that they make their own in-house syrups and use Mill King's milk, which is locally made in Texas. Not common to find Houston coffee shops doing this. Like other reviewers said, the lighting is great. Lots of natural light coming in. The decor is simple but nice. The place was full on a Sunday mid-afternoon. The biggest downside to this space is the space. They crammed in as much tables and chairs as they could that you are very close to the next person and can his/her conversation and there's just barely enough room to move between tables and chairs when all occupied. Maybe if they get rid of the private room, it would make the shop more roomy. They offer free iced water. Didn't try their wifi. There was a mix of people using a laptop and chit-chatting. This is located right next to Wharton dual language school and my friend told me that Della Coffee supports both Wharton and the neighborhood little league (Neartown Little League). Ok place as far as atmosphere. I wanted a grown up cup of coffee. What I got was a watery strange flavored cup of coffeeish hot water. I simply could not drink it. Rare for me but I truly could not. I've never had the food here, but the drinks are pretty good! My favorite is the matcha. I come here some days to work, and while it's a cute spot, it's always so cold!! If you're going to Della to "work from home" make sure to dress in layers and get there early because it's pretty small and can get crowded pretty quickly. The baristas are sweet and great with recommendations. Overall, I give this place a 4/5 and would recommend as a cute cafe to work out of. read more
