Took my truck in to have the faulty rear window replaced under warranty. After driving home from the dealership, I opened the back seat door and found dirty floor matts, dirt smudges on the seats and finger prints on the headliner. I called the dealership and left several messages for the service manager and the service director to call me back. Over three weeks later I have not received any calls back. I also had a oil leak after an oil change done by winter Chevrolet on a previous service. I would give zero stars rating for management customer service. read more

Texted them at 4 pm and they said they would not get to it until tomorrow! Why have appointments? Why not just tell me you're booked already and make my appointment for the next day? People need their cars and can't make their lives revolve around their "make an appointment and we will work on it sometime the next day" philosophy. I drop my car off to them 8/20/18 for some maintenance work. No problem the next day they called and let me know my car was ready for pick up. Very happy with the turnaround time and the work! Car runs beautifully. But when I got home and started to place my car cover on my car I noticed my rim was damaged!! I called the service department right away and left a voice message; they called right back letting me know that they will inform the service manager and get back to me the next day! They called the next day letting me know he was off and it would be taking care of once he had a chance to review the cameras. It is now 8/28/18 haven't received a call yet! INCLUDING when I called to file formal complaints about their financial department, who said I was stupid when asking QUESTIONS about the financing of my car (this is my first new car, I had questions, I cried), then I got a call from the manager apologizing saying he was having a "bad day" and they would comp me 3 free oil changes, when I called to get the oil change that same person told me there is no notes of complaints and if I didn't get their offer in writing I'm out of luck. I took my vehicle in for a service for an oil change and repair. I was contacted by Andre in service. After going over previous paperwork, he informed me that none was needed. He then helped with the repair of my glass release button. Which was supposed to be repaired that day, but was not able to be completed. Andre informed me that day and promised it would be completed the next day. Upon pick up of my vehicle, I found that the work was not completed correctly. Took my vehicle in for a broken AC. They told me I had a cracked manifold and it would be near 2500.00 so I said No and took my vehicle for a 2nd opinion. Turns out there was absolutely nothing wrong with my manifold and the exact words the new place used was " you were mislead about the manifold but you do need a new compressor" and they asked me why they even were looking at my manifold was it making noises or anything? I said NOOO only my AC stopped working! I paid new place 600.00 for them to fix my AC. Truck runs perfect. You have no idea how disappointed I was to hear this. I have bought 3 vehicles from them and have had major work done on my truck as well as maintenance and now I question everything they ever did for me. I kept seeing two advisers pacing around peeking out the window like tweakers at a motel 6. After 10 minutes I had the realization that nobody was going to come out and ask me if I needed help. On Wednesday 9/11/24 I made a phone call to Winter Chevrolet in Pittsburg. I asked if they had any 24 Chevy traverse LT midnight edition in white. Fernando the sales gentleman who was helping me told me he did not however he could do a dealer trade with Modesto who has that vehicle. He had me come in shortly after that phone call about 3PM or so and told me we would work out numbers, get a trade value on my car and get everything situated. He explained how the process worked and etc. Upon them giving me the numbers, AFTER running my credit I decided to move forward with the purchase. They called Modesto Chevrolet and asked to do a dealer trade (in which Modesto told them no) however they were not honest with me and told me Modesto said yes and that we can proceed with paperwork, as well as making the deal happen to lock in the vehicle. Pittsburg told me my car would be arriving within 6days at most. I signed ALL the paperwork and they even requested a down payment that I was not comfortable giving them until I had the vehicle in my possession. We signed borrowed car agreement for my current car that I would be trading in. After finalizing the deal and leaving the dealership, i exchange a few texts with Fernando and inquire if there were any updates and etc. Monday 9/16/24 I call and they had no updates on my vehicle so I call Modesto, Modesto then informs me they told Pittsburg the day they called (9/11/24) they would NOT do a dealer to dealer trade and the vehicle would not be mine upon arrival due to the vehicle being at the shipyard. In other words Pittsburg had me sign all paperwork for a vehicle that was not even there's that they had no permission to do so. Monday after I get off the phone with Modesto I proceed to go down in person to the Pittsburg dealership. I ask to speak to the manager and the man sitting at the desk stated he was the manager, I explain to him the situation and he simply tells me I am wrong and that is not what happen, I ask him to please reach out to Modesto and get to the bottom of this, he says he will send a text, I asked him to please call and he told me no. I then proceed to call Modesto on speaker phone and he is sitting there saying "they're liars" and that is all he is saying. I ask him for his name and he refused to tell me his name (I later found out from another employee his name was Jason and he was the sales manager). The way he spoke to me and treated me was highly inappropriate, I then tell him I would like all of the documents I have signed and he denied them to me. He provided me the copy of my insurance card and photo ID but told me he will not allow me to have or take copies of the paperwork I had signed FINALIZING the deal his dealership and I had made. I purchased a new EV Blazer from a different dealer. Had a minor issue with a rattle. I've brought it into Winter Chevrolet. I dealt with the service advisor Eric and then the mechanic Robert. Both were so friendly and helpful and made me feel so comfortable that I was truly surprised. Previous to this car we had a Toyota RAV 4 Plug in hybrid. The Toyota was an ok car but had several problems in the electrical system. We went to Toyota Mechanics several times; Toyota mechanics were rude and very unhelpful. We asked questions some of the questions they said they could not answer and didn't know the answer. Worse they never got the answers from the factory. We traded that car in for the Chevy Blazer. I'm very pleased with Winter Chevrolet and I would definitely buy a car there in the future. And I definitely trust the mechanics there. My wife called due to a serious steering issue which made her hesitant to even drive our 2018 Tahoe and so she called to see if she could bring the vehicle in for emergency service. Daniel, who answered the call, was extremely curt and rude to her. Saying "Well you can drop it off but we won't get to it for like a week and a half" and my wife then asked about if she scheduled an appointment could it be looked at sooner? He responded "Yeah, our first appointment isn't until after the first week in October"... my wife then inquired since our warranty has a rental car option if that would be able to be provided. His response was "Yeah, but we won't reimburse you until we do a diagnostic and then we will reimburse you... but you'll need to go rent a car yourself" My wife said Thanks, but I'll call Concord Chevrolet. His response "Ok, bye." And hung up. What a great experience for her! This isn't the first time she's called was greeted by total lack of Customer service or support. She then called Concord Chevrolet had an appointment set for for Saturday (3 days from now) and said while they may not have a rental available on the lot they would be able to shuttle her to the rental car location. From our past experience I'd never buy a car from Winter Chevrolet or expect their service department to be even functional enough to assist you if anything went wrong with your vehicle. Hi - We purchased a second used vehicle at Winter Chevrolet because my husband had a family member that worked there for many years, so we figured a reputable company. We came across a used 2017 Ford Edge that we liked and were prepared to purchase. We went through the regular car sale process and bought the car. The second we drove out of the driveway our driver side mirror fell completely out of the housing. We should have known then. We came right back in and they said no problem, we can fix that. They also said that their detail guy was out and we should bring it back the next week to have the mirror fixed and the car detailed. On the drive home we noticed that the car was tugging slightly to the right and we immediately called the sales guy to let him know that it was pulling, he said we will fix it when we brought it back. So we bring it back and let them fix it. They had it a few more days and we go pick it up and NO detail. The mirror wasn't fixed because they said the piece was back ordered because of Covid. So they had my car for almost a week and nothing had been done. The car is still pulling and they are trying to tell us they fixed it- put it in their brand new alignment machine. All BS because it's still pulls. We now have to take the car down again when the mirror piece comes in the following week. We take it back and it gets fixed. We complain to anyone who listens that the car still pulls and we get management involved. Supposedly the manager drove our vehicle for 50 miles on the freeway and took his hands off the wheel etc and the car doesn't pull- maybe it's the tires. Tries to convince us that it's the grade of the road. It's not. We have the car now for a only a few weeks and they have had it half the time just waiting for parts. We finally get it back and drive it somewhere and come home go inside overnight and the fan doesn't turn off ALL night and the battery dies. We have to go buy a new battery now and replace it and then bring it BACK to Winter to have that fixed. They ended up having my car for over a month waiting for a special Ford relay sensor for the fan because their equipment doesn't talk to each other and they have to order it- but they are short staffed because of Covid. They did give us a shitty rental for the time they we're waiting on the part. NOW almost 8 months later we go drive the car and when you put the car into any gear it rattles like it's going to explode and we take it to Ford and they tell us wear and tear has caused the ENTIRE transmission to go out and that costs 7000!!!!! WE HAVE HAD THE CAR ONLY A YEAR AND HAVE PUT MAYBE 15000 miles on it!!! Fun fact is that we bought the car used "as is" and apparently a reputable well known dealership can willingly know and sell your family a very expensive unsafe broken POS. Basically my family has run out of options. We don't have money to get a new safer good running car. We owe almost 30,000 for the next 7 years for this car. And school starts next week. I am not sure if we will ever find any resolution about this BUT I don't want this to happen to anyone else. And from their Yelp reviews it seems like they do this and treat customers like their cars run. We have delt with every single management person --Ed Smalls, Burt Gallegos and Kevin Peters and they aren't any help! No one ever calls back- PLEASE PLEASE NEVER BUY FROM WINTER CHEVROLET! They don't give a shit about anyone - only making a profit- Who cares about the families that come seeking safe reliable cars. DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE. Second time coming here and it was the same as the first. I got my tensioners, timing belt, and water pump replaced in my car. Left it and was told I would get it back by Friday if not by Tuesday of the following week. I got no updates. Even though they said they had all of the parts in stock what they didn't tell me is that they wouldn't even start until a week later. My car sat for around 1 and a half weeks before getting touched. I had to call multiple times with promises of giving me an update but half of the time I didn't receive one. A week and a half later I was told it would be done by that week and I should be able to come pick it up on Friday. Still no update that Friday so I called and I found out I had to wait till Monday the following week to pick it up. They also said it would cost $2400 when they quoted me $2100 and when I asked for an emailed invoice for the work it came up as $2100? They kept pushing it back and back. It was almost a month of not having my car and having to pay for rentals. Finally, I got a date. Monday/Tuesday but when that rolled around they still said I couldn't pick it up. Then Wednesday rolled around when I called back to get an update and then it was promised Thursday. Then Thursday came around and they said they would need the car for one day since it was all working I just didn't have wheels on my car so I couldn't drive it. Friday comes around and they finally call me and said its all done. I went to go pick it up and finally got my car back with a really bad odor in my car and it still had a check engine light. Went in to the parts department and went to go order a part for the fix they said might help. The date rolls around that they were said to call me and no call. 3 days later and no call. I had to call them just for them to call me it was closed and already picked up? I never received a call even though I was reassured that I would be called as soon as it came in. Turns out they had the part for a week and someone had accidentally closed my ticket without even calling me when it came in??? It's all bad all around. Not coming back ever again. read more

I don't know what happened here. I brought in my 2019 Chevrolet Colorado in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I always keep up with my oil changes, maintenance and keep my truck pristine. I always bring my truck here. But that day there was a sea of cars waiting for service. I go in, the service advisor checks my truck and goes to the truck hooks up the ODB II machine and all is well, I leave and was told to come back in the afternoon to pick up my truck because there was only one technician do to COVID. I pick up my truck and all of a sudden the engine light trips and the stability track warning light says its failing. WTF. I check the oil, the oil is not changed; the oil is still brown and grimy. I check the tires and the tire pressure is low. WINTER CHEVROLET DID NOT CHANGE MY OIL AND DID NOT ROTATE MY TIRES AND I PAID THEM TO DO THAT. Im not saying they did this or maybe they did but I believe they took parts off my truck to service another truck because my technician friend from Toyota said Chevy was hurting for parts. They did give me a loaner car until they fixed my truck, which they did fix but this did cost me a day at work and my time. If my truck does start to break down I will be filing a complaint to every damn executive at Chevy I can get ahold of. read more

I previously wrote a review about Winter Chevrolet and rated it 1 star. I'm writting to upgrade that to 3 stars, because after writing the first post, contacting the HR dept. & the Manager Burt Gallegos, Burt & the HR rep jumped on my report ASAP to try and find out what was going on and provided us with relief and an sincere apology. In fact my car was completed the day i contacted them. I was worried my car was going to come home with some other issue but happy to say it's been a couple days, we see no leak and no check engine lights for some other related issue....yet. I had taken my KIA to get a air conditioner leak repaired. The wrong part was ordered 3 times which meant my car sat there for 2 weeks. I was told part of this issue was due to KIA sending the wrong part 3 times. But the thing that bothered me the most was how i was initially made to feel like getting my car repaired there and having to wait 2 weeks was somehow my fault and I should not have brought it there for repair, dispite the fact that I purchased the car there and it being closer to my home in Antioch then the KIA dealer which is in Concord. It also bothers me a loaner car was not offered after having the car for 5 days and i had to request to talk to the GM before being offered a loaner. I was disappointed with Winter Chevrolet' service Dept. I wrote a letter describing my concerns about my service appointment on October 2, 2019 to their Service Manager. It took about two weeks for someone to get back with me and that was after I wrote another email to the General Manager. The short version is I brought my truck in for a factory recall after making an appointment. I drove 275 miles (I keep the vehicle at a vacation property) only to be told when I arrived that the fix was not to use the feature considered defective until a permanent fix was created. The service technician that made the appointment for me 2 weeks earlier could have told me that on the phone. I was very upset. Secondly, when I purchased the truck I was given two complete complimentary oil changes and diesel DEF tank top offs. Since my truck was at the dealer I had them perform my second service that I was entitled to. I watched the oil changer only put in 2 1/2 gallons of DEF into the 7 gallon tank. I knew it was almost empty so I talked to the technician. He said that was all the factory would authorize. I brought this to the attention of the service writer and he assured me the oil changer topped it off. I didn't argue any further as there is no gauge to check the status. On my way home I stopped and purchased 2 1/2 gallons of DEF and put the entire jug into the tank. It could have held more. So they did not "top off" my DEF tank as promised and as written in the service completion receipt. Thirdly, the oil changer was apparently careless and left a 1 1/2 inch oil smudge on my cloth driver's seat. I got the stain out with cleaner but it was annoying. When I didn't hear back from the Service Manager I wrote the General Manager an email. He advised the service manager had been out of town but would have him call me upon his return. He did call the next day and apologized for the recall misunderstanding. He also explained the factory only authorizes 2 1/2 gallons of DEF on the complementary services. No one had ever told me that before and as I mentioned above the service writer said the tank was "topped off" with DEF which is not reflective of what the Service Manager said. In any event if that's the factory policy I'm ok with it, it just wasn't communicated previously. No apology for the smug of oil on my seat. Anyway, the Service Manager seemed sincere and said he would personally notify me when the recall part was made available so I could bring the vehicle back in. read more
