They serve a great Patty Melt ! love the great rye bread and i always sit at the counter. Their rye bread tastes like rye and is not the marble rye most people serve. I do think they are a bit overwhelmed and need more servers. read more

Food is typical Denny food. Chicken Fried steak was good. Service was decent but not super as I needed more water and had to flag down the server. Temperature outside was triple digit but inside the restaurant, it was HOT. Felt like A/C was not working at all. I drank 3 glasses of 8 oz glasses of water before my meal. A person walked into the restaurant 5 times and passed by my table. Do not know what he was up to but the elderly couple across from me finished their meal and did not want to leave the money for the bill on the table so called the server over. The restaurant may had it but I did not see a sign like some of their restaurants that say you get a discount with AARP. So I asked and got the discount. read more

Food was always good here. Till one day my wife, son and i went to eat there for lunch. And i notice a cockroach crawling on the edge of the table and another one on the floor by the soda machine. I came here for lunch with my friend and he got a salad and I got a skillet. I specifically asked for no mushrooms and she brought it back with mushrooms. I asked her if it was okay to take them out so she took them out and brought it back without peppers and sausage and continued to argue with me over the fact that I said no sausage not no mushrooms. It was called a sausage skillet? Why would I not get sausage. Then my friend ate his salad without dressing because she didn't bring the dressing out after he asked her 3 times for it. Paid extra for bread that she brought out after we were done. Then gave her my credit card and she said she needed a PIN number? Really? It's a credit card. I will never come back here again. A year ago the portions were small the food was not even an ok. BUT seeing that they had some remodeling done we came back and it seems like they've made a few changes with the staff. The breakfast was actually good great portions, the sandwiches or breakfast sandwiches were actually filled with meat and or eggs. The only con I had was it did take a little while for the food to come out (maybe busy?) and my husband received his OJ but I didn't get my water until after the food was served. This place is horrible! I wouldn't recommend coming here. I decided to registe ron Yelp for the sole purpose of leaving a review here. I don't come here often, but when I do I don't typically get that good of service. So here it goes... When I first got here, we had to wait over 30 minutes until we were seated, so yes we had to wait this long. There wasn't that many people here, so it made me wonder why we had to wait as long as we did, we had a party of 7. When we were finally sat down, it took a good 15 minutes for our order to be taken. When the order was taken, 30+ minutes for our food to be brought out. This whole process was extremely time consuming and wasted part of my day. When we finally did receive our food, everyones order was right which was ok I guess, but the quality of food you get at this place, is seriously bad. Like I understand how this place is a chain, so they have to look at the bottom line. I bet you anything the eggs are brought in boxes right (not cracked eggs). The bacon was flimsy. Eggs were very watery. The fruit had this weird texture of being in the fridge for a few days, like it was pre cut days prior. Awful experience and would not recommend. read more

The place was empty upon walking in. Maybe around three tables total. Wanted to do the kids eat free special. Stayed almost two hours. Had to get up three times to talk to the waitress. She was alone. There was another lady there with blond streak side bangs. I let her know her assistance was needed but she said "I can't do anything I'm off the clock, I'll tell your server." That's cool and all but if she's off the clock then she shouldn't be hanging around the front counter and a simple " sure, I'll let your server know" would have been fine. Ordered my skillet and it had a missing topping. Kids meals were ok. We drink loads of water and our waters were not refilled. Whatever. She's busy bussing tables. Ok. Cool. How about pre-bussing when checking on a table how about taking any unused dishes. Food for thought. Literally only two other tables were around. The waitress could have been more attentive. Nope. I ate at this Denny's on Monday December 5th. My husband and I ordered chicken fried steaks. We've both been ill ever since with nausea and diarrhea, symptoms of food poisoning or unsanitary kitchen conditions, though I suspect it was the meat. DO NOT eat at this place. There's a good chance you'll get sick. I don't know who's currently managing this restaurant but they're not doing a very good job. The coffee we ordered tasted burnt and wrong. We asked for a fresh pot of coffee and the waitress acted upset, then proceeded to pour us coffee from the same exact pot. We never saw a new pot being brewed. The meat tasted slightly strange in our steaks. We should have left right then but we were hungry after traveling. Like I said, we've been ill ever since and this is a seriously disgusting prospect. I don't even want to know what they're doing or how they're storing their food in the kitchens. Again, DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

Went to breakfast this morning, and had excellence service from our waitress Judy! Unfortunately, we did not receive that same service from the older woman who helped us at the register. When I went to pay the bill, she intentionally ignored me. I heard her say "they have cash, I'm not doing it" and limped passed the register 3 times. When she finally rung me up, she says nothing but grabs the receipt from under my cash on the counter. When I asked for change for a tip, she replies "I don't have cash for change only ones". She noticed I was upset & says sorry and I left to find change elsewhere. This woman was NOT my waitress, however I could hear her being rude to every employee and then to me. I left my 3$ tip and returned 10 mins later with change for more of a tip to give to Judy. I'm pretty sure if she was my server she would have given me change. Someone needs to speak with this older waitress at the register and remind her of her manners or she should think of retiring. read more

After finally being seated we sat and sat waiting for someone to come by and ask if we even wanted something to drink let alone take our order. My husband and I ate brunch 12/21/2016.and it was pretty good going down. I had Belgian waffles with cool whip n strawberries, chicken sausage n eggs. My husband had pancakes, eggs,hash browns.About 5 pm we both started getting nauseous and weak. We started throwing up and lots of abdominal pain. I feel so bad,and we are taking turns puke'in. I then sat there even longer before the server left his friends at another table to take my drink order. It was then even longer before anyone came to take my food order. This Dennys is horrible. We went there and our waitress did not check on us at all. She kept coming to the table next to us but would not come to our table. After asking multiple times we finally got our check. We went to the front counter and complained to the manager and he did not even apologize for the bad service. I would never wish this place on my worst enemy, went at four with a friend today, had eggs, hashbrown and toast, One bite of toast, one bite of hashbrown and within seconds I grabbed a napkin and ran as fast as I could to the restroom, never so sick in my life. Whatever the hashbrowns were cooked in, with the butter tasting sour my guess is they were old old old and probably contaminated. Bacteria can upset a stomach within seconds. Dennys in most busy areas are fabulous and have a turnover of people, this place looks like it's always empty. Never again read more

This place is awful! I brought my elderly parents here for breakfast yesterday to thank them for caring for my house and dogs all week while I was in NY. Let's just say I owe them another after this! I don't often eat at Denny's but they like it so here we came. First, they tried to take our order immediately and I asked for two minutes. A table near us ordered and had their food by the time she came back. My mom ordered the make-your-own grand slam with egg whites, grits, pancakes and yogurt. She puts the yogurt on the pancakes (old people!). When the food came and she did this, a black lumpy thing was visible in the white yogurt. We debated whether it was a drowned bug or just some unidentifiable goopy stuff but either way, we sent the yogurt covered black lump and pancakes back. After quite some time passed, the waitress walked by and I asked if my moms re-order had been placed at the end of the line because pancakes don't take that long to cook. It seems they didn't prioritize it because it took almost 15 minutes to make two pancakes. She apologized and said they had taken my mom's breakfast off the check. As my mom stuck her knife in the butter on the pancakes, a very long blonde hair became visible. Mind you nobody at our table had hair like this. The table next to us had noticed everything going on and offered their sympathies. I told them I didn't even want to mention it because at this point, we look like we're crazy and making stuff up. But she vouched she had seen my mom pull the hair off and if they tried to question us, she had our backs. Awesome! Now armed with reinforcement, we again called over the waitress. The manager then came over and told us they had taken my mom's food off AND offered us a 20% discount on the remainder of the bill. I made a snarky comment about how I now know a hair in your food is worth $5.90. Good to know the value of that. He then said they had taken my mom's meal off also for it. NO! You took my mom's meal off when there was a bug in her yogurt and then returned the longest cooked pancakes ever! The hair apparently only dictated 20% off the rest. So beware! At this place, you can have service take forever, get bugs AND hair in your food and still end up paying for most of your meal. I'm not one to normally want anything free because I feel like when you let them discount the check it allows them to shirk responsibility for providing a horrible breakfast experience and they can now blame it on you just trying to get something for free. But the fact that I had to still pay $30 for such a horrible experience really ticks me off! They should be ashamed of themselves for their handling of customer service. Come on Denny's as much as I hate discounted checks, no arguing, you should have taken care of the whole bill on this one! This review is my only recourse and getting a little bit of satisfaction! Heed my warning and go less than two blocks down the street to The Palms for breakfast which is about the same price and much nicer. We will be heading there today for take 2! read more
