We usually stop at the Denny's on E 4th St in Beaumont where we always get great service (Thanks, Victoria) and great food but we were really hungry on the way from LA to Indio so we stopped at this Denny's in Colton. When we walked in we were never greeted and finally had to ask if there was a booth available. While waiting, we noticed that there were five, yes FIVE table with dishes and remnants of previous patrons that had not been cleaned up. Really!! Where are the buses? No one seemed to be concerned or in a hurry to get patrons seated or to remove dirty dishes. They were S-L-O-W!! Nothing like sitting next to tables with dirty dishes while trying to enjoy a meal. Eventually we were offered a table that was next to two tables that were piled high with dirty dishes so we declined, walked out and never looked back. Calling corporate tomorrow!! read more

This Denny's was very very nice, clean, very great service and the breakfast omelettes were delicious. I really recommend this Denny's.

It's around 1:40am and my sister is off from work hungry so we decide to go to This Denny's on valley. We arrive and get asked (by a girl who is far, sitting and eating across working on a laptop) "table for how many" We say it's to go and get handed menus from a server who apparently was working alone and looked like he didn't have time for us.. We take 1 min to see what we want and go up right away. The same guy server named "vir..."something kept walking past us tending to other things and needs. It was obvious we were standing there waiting to order for like 25 minutes and just getting overlooked on a slow night. Also, The same short petite girl with dark long hair too kept ignoring us by the way. We were so upset and hungry so we left. They didn't seem to care one bit. Maybe if they looked sorry it would've helped but no...anyways we go to Denny's in Rialto and it was such a breeze and the treatment was better than average, adding we got our order quicker thank expected. read more

Oh my word, the Mexican manager with the black hair needs to be trained on HOW TO MANAGE, my moms friend politely told her that her coffee was not hot, her response, "well I just made it so it should be hot, repeats well I just made it" with an attitude her response should have been "Oh I'm so sorry I'll get you a new one" like I know when you come to Denny's not to have your hopes so high but come on that really pissed me off how hard is it to just put a fake smile on your face and say I'm sorry! First off, it's 4AM and I got here at 2:45AM with a party of 7. This is not a bad review against the staff. THIS IS FOR THE PERSON WHO SCHEDULES AND MANAGES THE NUMBER OF STAFF. 1. It took about 15 minutes to be seated (no one was in front of us) 2. Took about 30 minutes to have a waitress take our order. 3. Another 30 minutes for the food to come out. (Which isn't bad, except orders were wrong and no one wanted to say anything because they are under staffed) HOW THE HELL DO YOU HAVE ONLY 3 PEOPLE WORKING!!!! Our service was crappy, not because of the staff but because they are UNDERSTAFFED! Even 1 extra waitress would have been perfect. 1 waitress had 20 people to take care of at 3AM! Worst customer service ever rude employees and manager. It was an empty diner and it took them about to 10-15 minutes to sit us down. Went there and the presentation was horrible dirty floors and carpet the bathrooms were very unsanitary. Underneath the tables there is trash and crumbs. Now the food sounds like it's good, the eggs are soggy and the pancakes are bland the bacon that day tasted old. The potato's wee old and dry. The waitress forgot silverware we asked for 6 times. Once out I was hit with a sharp and hard stomach pain. I went to the doctors and found out what I ate gave me food poisoning. If you want an excuse for being sick from school or work or in general be sick I recommend coming here. read more

This Denny's is pretty bad. While the people are generally friendly, we've had quite a few bad experiences. Why do we keep going back? Probably because it's a close and cheap family restaurant. It's usually pretty empty when we go so we never wait in line. I've been served cold coffee, the wrong type of eggs, the wrong side, etc. It's also not very clean-especially the child seats, which is hard to find one with a belt that's not saturated in food and/or ripped. I've never left a 1 star review but today is the day I do. We waited 45 minutes for our food...they refilled my drink one time. But that's not why I'm upset, as my wife ate her food she said something didn't taste right. She cut into her omelette and what did we find... A ton of DIRT and ROCKS. It's Saturday, everyone in the IE wants breakfast at Denny's. So we go in and someone takes our name and number in our party. A guy, who appeared to be the manager because he was wearing a dress shirt, addressed us and the group next to us "who's next?" But he said it in Spanish. Strike 1. After being seated, the same gentleman brought us out coffee. Lukewarm. Strike 2. Working in the F&B industry, I am not usually vocally critical, but I notice every detail. From sticky ketchup bottles to fans set on the wrong setting- I mentally catalog everything that is a strength or an opportunity for improvement. Prepared for a sub-par breakfast experience, Shemekia (had to ask how to spell her name!) turned it all around and really saved the reputation of this particular Denny's. This server should be managing this place. With an obvious knack for customer service, she adeptly assesses her customers and adjusts her tone and conversation accordingly. I know because since the place was packed, I had the opportunity to watch her interact with patrons at different tables. Denny's is seriously messing around for not promoting Shemekia to a position where her charismatic personality is used as a tool for training employees. Seriously. The food was standard Denny's fare. Forgettable- had it not been for the outstanding customer service by our service. Four stars because the first employee we were greeted by really screwed up. I was a little worried about eating here cause I saw a lot of bad reviews for this location. But I decided to give them a try anyways. & honestly, I'm glad I did. Everyone was very nice. They seated us as soon as we walked into the door. It was clean very well. As soon as some guest will leave their tables was already getting cleaned up. The food was ready fast & it was delicious. What I really wnjoyed also is they were on top of our drinks. As soon as they were getting low, they brought us a new one with our us even having to ask them or with us even finishing it completly. Right when we are done with a plate , they already came & got it. It was definitely a wonderful experience here. This is one of the best Dennys I have ever been too. I used to live near this Denny down the road so this was the Denny's to go to. Used to be alright now it's just not what it used to be. Maybe it's privately owned now or something. Service is so so and food not good even for Denny's standards. The bacon avocado burger I ordered was just sad. Soggy bacon and brownish avocado which barely had avocado in the burger at all. Very cruddy service today. Normally they're great. However, today we placed an order online and when my husband went to pick it up. When he asked for it they told him it was picked up by a delivery service. We placed it for pick up and I double checked the receipt and of course there was no address so how would ANYONE deliver it? I called and they said someone picked it up and explained to them that it wasn't possible because there was no address and the receipt says pickup. So they said they would redo my order and when I went to pick it up they explained to me after I asked about identification that they DON'T check ID. So I asked about the receipt and was told they usually do but no one did that time. So a random stranger went off with my order AND a receipt with my name, phone number and card number. On top of that specifically asked for no meat in my dish and so ended up getting meat... the manager was also pretty rude when explaining that they didn't check ID, as if it was my fault. One of the workers was very sweet when she explaining about the receipt though. But basically they just shout out names and if you say it's you then they'll hand it to you, no receipt or identification needed. read more

I've been to various Denny's locations and I know when they get busy there is room for error. But I'm here on Friday morning and they aren't quiet busy but it's a guarantee I won't be returning here. 1) when we first walked into the host/hostess were speaking so low as if I am understand what they were saying based on reading lips 2) I ordered garlic peppercorn steak and I had to second it back twice. I had asked them for medium rare and they brought it out super rare and not even warm enough for the butter to melt. Then they brought it back cooked to my liking but it tasted gamey and straight fat. And then I took bite off my mashed potatoes that I have seasoned with salt and pepper myself and it tasted sour. As if the milk added was spoiled. At this point I have lost my appetite and told the waiter cordially what was wrong but they seemed bothered. Never again will I be going to this Denny's. read more

This Denny's is terrible. We came in on a Thursday night with only ONE waitress and ONE cook working. The waitress was doing everything. I felt bad for them because it is not their fault that they were short-staffed. Whoever is making the schedule here is to blame. It doesn't even make sense to only have those 2 people scheduled to work. The waitress was doing her best to keep a positive attitude, but it was noticeable that she was overwhelmed. There was a table of about a dozen people that claimed they had been waiting an hour and a half for their food. We had been waiting for our food for 40 minutes and were getting impatient. Aside from being short-staffed and our food taking forever, we spotted a dead cockroach near our table. That pushed us over the edge and we decided to leave immediately.
